#IPA2017 #InnovationPrizeForAfrica What a proud night for #AfricanInnovators + #AfricanInnovation ... The African Innovation Foundation ( #AIF ) presented and awarded some stellar talent across the continent tonight. Innovators included those who are preserving African languages through technology, educating and giving streams of funding to rural farmers to grow business, healthcare technology to preserve life at affordable prices, technology to make it easier to detect diseases such as TB and others that disproportionally effect Africans and so much more. lt was an amazing day into night of recognizing and celebrating the dreamers and doers who are Africa's future in innovation from nations such as #Kenya #SouthAfrica #Nigeria #Liberia #Uganda #Egypt #Morocco #Zimbabwe and #DRC Although #Ghana played host, we had no nominees tonight - which is just a wake up call to tell us that we must nurture and invest more in our innovators. I was especially proud of my #SiStars who were amongst the sheer 20% who actually took the chance, found the opportunity and applied to showcase their greatness amongst a sea of men. We too have to make sure we are finding and owning our space in innovation.
