scared of crickets

scares herself by burrowing in blankets

but ISN'T scared of a cat that isn't mine???

can't hunt for shit, tries to eat the sacred ground a bug once stood instead (and thinks clawing a flat surface will change something)

can't find a treat more than 3 inches from her face

but found a couple cake crumbs and a single pill on my floor once and had to go to the vet after having it wrestled out of her mouth (she was fine)

tries to eat cat litter, fabric, my hair and the rubber parts of my switch

operates on a "if I can't see you, you can't see me" basis for napping spots

loves jumping off of ledges (then huffing at me for catching or stopping her)

does backflips trying to sniff things above her head

anoints at least 3 times a day

still thinks my toes are worms

Thought I'd share a couple of adorable pictures of Jax. Here, he's being pouty for some reason.

In this one, he was hiding in his blanket like he was in a pouch and he poked his head out to say good night to me.

He's usually very private, but will occasionally allow a picture.

Fun fact about Jax: he can't stand my mom at all and adores my dad. His favorite songs are "The ants go marching" and "Monster" by Skillet.

He was bouncing his nose to Monster once because I forgot to turn my phone's volume down.

He's recently started enjoying baths too.

Need help with my hedgehog's vet expenses 🦔💕 (~180 euros)

Long story short, my hedgehog Charlie developed a lump on his chin that might be cancerous. As I'm waiting for the cytology results I need help covering his expenses (past and possibly future). PLEASE REBLOG IF YOU CAN, any help is appreciated ♥

Charlie is 2 years old and along with my other hedgie, Griffin, they mean the world to me ♥

Longer story long, I feel ashamed that I need help with money. I would never be so irresponsible to get a pet whose care I can't afford. I usually do have money.

Unfortunately these past few months a few issues came up that made me strapped for cash, chief of them my mum retiring in July but not receiving her pension yet nor her 40-year bonus, so we're living on my salary only.

Also my mum's eyesight got so bad these last few months (minus 12 on one eye, the other's just shapes and shadows) that she needed to get two expensive pairs of glasses, which I also paid for, emptying my emergency funds that I have not touched in five years.

But I want to give Charlie the chance to get better if it's possible. For now they took an x-ray, took a tissue sample, and gave me some anti-inflammation meds while we wait on the results. Some signs indicate it can just be an inflammation, others indicate it can be a tumor.

If it's a tumor and it's operable, if it's possible to find a specialist that does such this kind of surgery, it will definitely be expensive but if I'll do everything I can to find a way to try it if it means Charlie can survive and live a good hedgie life. If that's not a possibility, I'll let him go. But I need to fight if we can.

He's hiiiigh af x) My poor baby <3 the vet and the vet tech were so enamored by him. They loved his name, they loved that he's black and white, the tech said "I've never seen a hedgehog you can pet!", they took a picture of him x") Of course everyone's in love with him, Charlie is the loveliest little angel ♥

On Sunday 23rd July 2023 I got a new hedgehog I called him konker he is so tiny he only weighs 241g bless him he is nearly 13 weeks old now. He was born on 27th April 2023. It nice to have a prickly friend again xxxx

I love my grandparents but man. they've been here an hour and a half and already have been deadnaming me (after we've talked about it), my grandpa got into an argument with my mom about insurance, and my grandma is talking about wanting to "bless" our pets

I'd like to introduce my hedgehog, Jax.

He is a sweet, but sassy little hedgie and his favorite color is black.

He's my "consultant" for hedgehog behavior in my Sonic fanfics. He also has a Sonic figure clipped to his cage.

📷 You woke up in your apartment for another day, after leaving the bathroom after doing your morning hygiene you went to take care of your pets. a Cockatiel named Jessei, Mini Pig named Bertram, two Bearded Dragons named Ravi and Mrs. Kipling, an African Pygmy Hedgehog named Zuri, and two ferrets named Emma and Luke. They are work but it's worth having this little family;

📷 After a few minutes of taking care of your pets, you quickly made breakfast, got ready and left the house for your college. as you left the house until you arrived at the college campus, you felt watched... but it seemed like there was nothing out of the ordinary;

📷 When we got there, it seemed like the feeling went away, but it was just the beginning;

📷 In your second class, the director called you to his room and when you got there you saw him. your father, Bruce Wayne, with a soft facial expression, very different from the indifference he gave you before. he started talking to you, asking why you didn't tell him you were going so far away, or why you're using your mother's surname... you were in shock the moment you saw him, not knowing how to react;

📷 Bruce somehow managed to release you from your classes today, he took you to his apartment... even though you had never mentioned to him where you lived. when you got there, you were greeted by your brothers and sisters, they were all in your small apartment looking at you with shining eyes;

📷 Soon you were sitting in the middle of Cass and Jason as they all chatted calmly as if this were a normal day. Damian was meeting all your pets and asking you everything about them;

📷 The apartment bell rang, when you got up to open it, Dick was already at the door opening it. it was your GF, worried that you hadn't gone to her to get lunch;

📷 The atmosphere became so tense when GF appeared, but soon they began to introduce themselves and ask questions about her, like a TV family concerned about the first relationship of one of the members of that family;

📷 Soon they took their leave of you and you were left alone with GF. you finally cried, releasing all the feelings you felt, grabbing GF with your lifeline, she ended up staying with you for the rest of the day;

📷 The next day you were woken up by the alarm clock on GF's phone, it seemed like everything that happened yesterday was a nightmare. after getting ready and taking care of the pets, the two of you left for college;

📷 But they didn't let you in, when you asked the secretary why, she said that your father had transferred you to distance learning classes at a college in Gotham and you ran home. When you get there you become two things, a moving truck and Alfred waiting in the car with your bags and your pets duly ready for the trip.
