it was called “death of the love triangle” and i created an equation to see if a given love triangle should be upgraded to the superior state of being a throuple. i assigned each character a rating out of 10 and then if the collective number was above 20, they would meet the specifications. i covered the following love triangles:

rick blaine, ilsa lund and victor laszlow from casablanca got upgraded with a total of 25 points

katniss, peeta and gale did NOT get an upgrade with a total of 17 points (boo gale your pussy stinks)

sinbad, marina and proteus from sinbad: legend of the seven seas got an upgrade with a total of 27 points

the phantom, christine and raoul from the phantom of the opera obviously did not get upgraded because raoul sucks, with a total of 13 points

jessie, jessie’s girl and rick springfield from the song jessie’s girl by rick springfield got upgraded with a total of 23 points because rick literally sings about imagining jessie fucking so.
