Innate curiosity was always his downfall, but falling out of a building could be marked as his most unflattering of klutsy behaviors. Left arm bound tightly in a cast and held in a sling, he could feel himself wriggle with the impatience of healing. A deep pull of unenthusiastic sighs wisped from the smoke of his cigarette as he laid helpless on the sand of the beach waiting to ride out his boredom. Truly, this sucked.

   Law strides onto the beach, leaving his personal tent for but a moment. He could be on the Tang, working away as he so often does, but he’d rather be closer to his patient and the rest of the crew. Besides, his ship is anchored much farther out than normal, the reefs here making it hard to approach the shore. Better to be here instead of out there where he can’t help anyone.

   Sand crunches under his boots and soon enough he sees his most recent patient moping on the beach. Just laying there bored and staring. Law sighs, rolling his eyes and Cora’s pathetic visage. If he hates being out of commission so much then he should be more careful. This whole injury thing is his own damn fault, after all. The Surgeon of Death has little sympathy for his saviour in this moment. No sympathy for him and his accident prone traits.

   “Stop moping,” he says, once he is standing beside Corazon. “Read a fucking book or somethin’.”

   Law is even kind enough to drop a book beside the tall man’s head. It’s just one he had on hand. Not sure Cora will be interested in it, but it’s better than watching him lay around and huff, like a sad dog.

      🕷  It was a crisp yet hostile noise that graced the raven hairs ears. Usually, the sway and jingle of her earring would comfort her in the tense moment. She saw that barrel and looked up into the eyes of the other pirate.

For someone dressed in such a dweeby manner, his eyes held a determination and darkness that told her to tread carefully.

"So how big of rounds are we talking Cupid~" Not exactly professional words out of the spider but it was a means to break this awkward silence between them. Jokes were clearly not what she got paid for.

Tension grew between them more before she eased her frame not making to much of a movement. The last thing she wanted was to lose her hands. It was how she made her living.

"You've got some interesting information. Color me curious on it~" Layla had perks to being half spider thanks to her devil's fruit powers. Wall climbing was always her favorite. What was he up to? Sure she was here on Baroque Works business but now she had her own motives. 🕷

❧ The click of his flintlock was his warning to the thief as he held the barrel's end against the top of her hand. Pinning it down to the table and giving her the simple choice; move you lose a hand, stay still, you might get to keep it. A foolish attempt to try and steal something from another pirate especially when one was alone. But the question did form in his mind, what was a Baroque Works lackey doing so far away from her pond?

She would be smart not to tempt a trigger happy intelligence officer of the Hearts if she knew what was good for her. Or at least for her hand. He’d give her the chance to come up with an excuse whether it would be with words or actions. It mattered not to him. Just so long as it was good enough.

It was akin to a ghost story, a rumor or tale that crept from bar or schoolyard. One that traveled the seas from Grand Line or beyond, bloomed simply from foggy nights and moonlight. Still there was little denying that they were nearly identical in appearance, close enough that with a change of clothes they could pass for the other. Tall men of similar build, jaw and brow, hair unrulky and gold. Only in their eyes did they appear to diverge, one set a sky and the other of earth. For Rocinante, his rusty red irises were shared with Mother; Doflamingo's were far fairer than Father’s, a pale azure blue, and with it had been blighted with sensitivity.

These eyes were an ocean.

It is not his brother, yet it looked more like Rocinante than even he did.

“Who do you work for?" Voice cold as the metal of his gun, he smothers anxiety threatening to drown him, the fears spirled into a tight ball for him to swallow and hold deep within his stomach. The barrel digs between back ribs, angled for the double's liver, a potentially long and painful death. "Who are you?”

♒ Thoughts on the fandom you're currently rping in?

I honestly love the One Piece RPC. There's a few corners that aren't so great, just like any fandom, but for the majority everyone is really welcoming and friendly. I was nervous to join in the beginning because I saw some of the dark underbelly of the OP fandom and really didn't want to encounter it here. So far so good and it's been nearly two and a half years.

While on Amazon Lily, Ikkaku did ask a few of the Kuja to give her some training as she knew the Hearts would eventually be heading into the New World and wanted to be able to better protect her crew and captain. For their part, they offered to let her stay on the island and join their ranks, but she made it clear that she wasn’t interested. The Kuja attributed this to her being captain of the Hearts and not wanting to abandon the men to being leaderless and helpless without her guidance.

         SMALL STEPS ACROSS SPIDER MILES. That was as much as her child legs would allow her to travel, but Lawko had made up her mind to not let that slow her down any longer. Explanations would not come to her unless she managed to catch up to the silent blond man.

Ever since her arrival at Spider Miles, she had been sure the stakes had never been in her favour but the tables had turned in an unexpected way. She had just stabbed a man, a high ranking officer. There had been witnesses, and the victim was still alive. And yet, somehow, she had come out of the situation unscathed.

Lawko hated it, she didn't want it to be indebted to someone she could barely stand, someone who offended her in their first encounter. And so, her eyes were set on the prize once again. But this time it wasn't a dagger she would bring to the field, it was a demand. A demand for an explanation.

She finally managed to catch up to the man and, under her panting breath, she mustered up the courage to speak.

❝ CORAZÓN !! What the hell was that about ?! ❞ She called out to him and raised her look at his. She briefly stepped back, but decided not to let a man like him intimidate her.  ❝ Urk… I thought you would refuse to allow me in the crew after what I've done. Are you that stupid or are you just not worried I'm going to try to kill you again ? ❞

   Trafalgar Law is pulled right off of his feet. He gasps as long arms wrap around him and he is yanked into the air. The motions of his saviour are exuberant and filled with too much love. If his lungs weren’t being crushed by Cora’s embrace his breath would have been stolen by the sheer volumn of this affection. It’s all very overwhelming. So, Law struggles, pushing against Cora’s arm and glaring.

   “No,” he wheezes. “Put me the fuck down Cora-san. This is ... Ah, I can’t fucking breath!”

The amount of love and dedication poured into each of your muses is amazing. Whether it's Killer, Rosi or Kanjuro, each of them is written or drawn with such affection and it shows. I remember your old art from all the way back in ~2015 and you have improved so considerably. You grew so much while still maintaining a recognizable, distinct style and your art is such a big inspiration for me. I absolutely adore the way you draw muscles, scarred tissue and eldritch horror demons.

You are such a talented storyteller, no matter the medium. The amount of varying threads and AUs you write is another testimony to that. I love seeing the darker sides of comedic characters like Rosi and the 'soft' sides of a dark character like Killer. It's your fault that I'm beginning to ship DeathPenalty and Lamy doesn't approve in the slightest lmao. You flesh all of their feelings and thoughts out so well, the good and the bad, while always staying true to the source material you are working off of and it is a marvel to read. One can almost see the cogs of their minds turning as they introspect themselves in the quieter moments between the action. And when you write action, it's amazing. Thrilling scenes that you describe so poetically it's as if a movie would be playing out in my brain. Also, you're one of the only people who indulge my love of writing unbridled gore, so thank you for that! Out of character you are always so encouraging, fun and nice. Chatting with you about AU ideas or bad German swear words is always a blast! Thank you so much for taking a chance on my Lamy and her several verses. She needs a good parental figure in her life after everything she's been through, and having Cora adopt her alongside Law means so much to me ♥ Every time you mention her beyond our threads my heart does the biggest silly happy dance. I know you said that the parental guardian relationship between Law and Cora is very relatable to you, and I can absolutely sympathize with that. Also with the aspect that you sometimes struggle with seeing Law as handsome because of musing Cora c': RIP Law's sexiness, you shall be deeply missed. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with the world. The Wano fire festival event you organized was such a wonderful occasion in the RPC and you brought so much fun to so many people. It's evident that you enjoy doing so, which is a wonderful trait to have, but I just wish you would take more care of yourself >:C I know that you know, but we love and care about you Jug, and burn out isn't fun so please take it easy in the future. Even after getting married to Sai, Baby 5 still has one of Doflamingo’s feathers hidden away in a secret place. Yes, she understands he was terrible to her and she would never go back to his side now that she knows he never considered her as anything but a useful tool, but all those years in his service aren’t wiped away so easily, and he and the others were the only family she’d ever really known. As much as she hates him, she also finds it hard to let go of the good memories she had with the Family.

Perhaps someday, when she’d finally, truly come to terms with everything, she’ll burn the feather and move on completely.
