Pontification concept and what it perhaps symbolizes.

So we all know what pointification "is", and there are multiple concepts of how it can happen.

in fan art A symbol gets smacked on your face and you become point or is often depicted as a ritual (look at stratofear).

What if originally it wasn't like that?

What if there was a time where humans could reach there way to pointification by themselves Without divine intervention?

Well maybe in a way you'll really sacrificing your old identity for a new one becoming a better and stronger person for yourself whether it's good or bad.

As a side effect you don't lose your memories and your symbol is not broken and stays attached on you.

In fact you can willingly take off your symbol and show your eyes.

but what about those who became a point without a choice?

Well the obvious side effects are losing your memories.

This is a consequence or side effect of cheating your way to "godhood" if you will in a way you lose your memories is like a part of you dying. Your identity that you once told is gone snap from existence, the old he was dead while the new you still exist.

I think people should be respect AF fan games.

I can understand if people who make the fan games are problematic or might be bad person.

but if someone did nothing wrong, and the fan game they make has a character designs look different or they added a new gimmick, Or someone made an entirely different concept/spin off to the AF franchise that's not connected to the points of conflict cast and takes place in a different part of everi. Then you shouldn't criticize saying "It's not AF or it doesn't feel like af."

If it has bugs or glitches then yeah you can criticize it but you shouldn't criticize the story. Or how it looks

fan game/fan sequels& and prequels/reinterpretations should be treated as a gift to the community/fandom.

People work really hard to make this gift for the community and if people criticize it you're basically saying that they're efforts mean nothing.

When your friend gives you a birthday gift and its a homemade sweater of your favorite character and that character looks wrong Or there's a small little mistake.

And your friend acknowledges the mistakes they make on making the sweater but they did their best to try and fix.

do you tell them they did a bad job or tell them that their gift sucks? I don't think you should because they work really hard to make that gift for you.

So dear AF community please be nice when someone makes an AF fan game.

And don't criticize unless someone asks for criticism.

like at this point we make our own interpretations Cannon and we can say it's Cannon because no one can really stop us?

We all have the right to make our own head cannons Cannon because of how little information we have with AF to the point that with this little information we can just make up whatever makes sense to us.

Tbh I feel like we need more AF1 fanfics. Like - there's a lot of AF2 characters yes but there's also LOTS of potential with the AF1 story!! It's pretty loose and flexible and can lead up to LOTS of interpretations (like Star Savior and Stratosfear and how we can have fun and be evil with their lore, and can expand LOTS of hcs on Mason and Julio's relationship). Is there any AF1 aus/oneshots on ao3 or wattpad? I'm not talking about the ones that merge AF1 and AF2's storyline into a kind of timeline I would love to find one that is PURELY af1.

To anyone cookign up or planning one, or already has one existing, I would LOVE to hear it!

Whenever I write any kind of Adventure Forward AU I am absolutely terrified of showing it to you guys, because it involves the ripping out almost everything about it, keeping just the backbones (the very general premise) and the characters, then pulling out a set of random shit and mixing it up with elements that are either additional themes that are still relevant or makeshift to the characters, or has absolutely NOTHING to do with AF at all.

Like - what if I had just made some sort of abomination that is blasphemous to AF?? What if I've ruined the characters?? What if you guys will exclaim 'SACRILEGE!!!!' and hunt me down?? (Or maybe you guys will enjoy it but anxiety exists unfortunately)
