An Aestival ex-son of his noble family. Groomed to take the title of a Demon Prince, but never made it. After running away into the human realm, he's an unexpected ally for the magi...and maybe a little more to one of them.

truly i dont want to hear anyhing about "work-life balance" ever again until a completely unqualified "im tired" is a good enough reason to disappear for any arbitrarily long period of time w no repercussions
#leologisms#truly awful. i was gifted w an operculum and the ability to aestivate#for an arbitrary period of time until conditions improve. and i cant even make use of that

Igbur "Burr"
A small demon with an easygoing attitude which is in stark contrast to his boss, Mason, one of the all feared Demon Princes. Despite his laze fare demeanor, he does his job diligently and isn't scared to tell Mason anything he needs and doesn't need to know.

"Nestled on the water's bottom of silt and plant debris are juvenile and adult Diplocaulus with a coiled Lysorophus. Both Lysorophus and juvenile Diplocaulus were amphibians which could burrow within the mud and aestivate to survive droughts until rains replenished their water-holes. However, in addition to being too large, the expanded crescent-shaped skulls of adult Diplocaulus prevented them from being able to burrow and survive by aestivating. Lysorophus reached lengths of 60 cms (2 ft) and full grown Diplocaulus were as much as 1 m (3 ft) long."
From Dinosaurs: A Global View (1990) by Sylvia J. Czerkas & Stephen A. Czerkas. Illustrated by Douglas Henderson, Mark Hallett, John Sibbick.
