aerea’s lips pressed into a thin line, her eyes narrowing slightly. she understood cages far too well. gilded or rusted, a cage was a cage, no matter how pretty the bars. "you think refusing is enough?" she asked, voice low but now edged with something slightly bitter. "i once thought so too. that i could simply fly free because i willed it, because i hated the hands that tried to keep me locked away." her fingers curled into fists at her sides, as if she could still feel the weight of unseen chains. "but cages are not only built from iron. they are built from duty, from expectation, from the things we owe to others and the things they demand in return." and now she was stuck in a different type of cage on this island. unable to leave. at least it could have been worse. there was some kind of entertainment with the strange stuff that happened here.
Perhaps she had judged a little quickly, but then her job had been to keep Padme safe and sometimes it had required rash judgements. Perhaps it was rash, but it had kept her alive. "No there isn't. Which is why I refuse to do it. Even in a town like this one" she'd seen stranger planets in her life, but a Jedi Temple was here, and this was unlike any planet in her galaxy.

"that is a valid question," aerea responded. though the other's jumpy nature had made her judgemental at first, the points she had said made sense to her. she could understand them. "there is nothing worse than being forced to live in a cage." especially because of other's actions. even being a princess was it's own cage.
"Why should I live in a cage because of others actions?" she saw no sense in that, nor would she ever let others bad choices influence her life again. Not here. Though first she had to learn what had happened all those years ago, and she had to get the revenge for it, however hard that may be.

that was actually a valid reason, aerea couldn't fault her for that. not everyone was privileged enough to have armed guards following them around. and the world wasn't always kind to women. but still, aerea found something to pick at. "so why walk alone if you get so jumpy?"
Oh that was tactless. Honestly, the people here really could do with learning not to say everything that went through their minds. "I'm a woman walking alone. Indeed, I do jump when I hear someone" and not really, but she wasn't about to give everything away. Especially the several knifes hidden under her clothing, but she didn't think she had much reason to use them right now. Looks could be deceiving she supposed.

aerea suddenly found herself alive again, only to be stuck on another island. at least it wasn't as boring as dragonstone. but still, she was stuck once again. unable to chose for herself whether to leave or not. like that had gone so well last time. taking some time out, aerea figured at this time the lake wouldn't be too busy. but someone was already in the spot she had chosen to go to. "do you jump at your own shadow, too?" aerea questioned, scoffing at the other. "i wasn't exactly creeping."
It had only been recently Dorme's memories had returned. She had thought the whole thing had been rubbish until her own had suddenly hit her like a tidal wave, and she wished she could forget again. Ultimately they had failed. Sure they had been trying to get justice after the event, but they had failed. And now she was trapped in this galaxy, with no way to go back. And Jedi walking the streets again? That was the more confusing part in all this.
She'd needed some air, going up to the lake as it reminded her most of Naboo. It wasn't as if she ever went anywhere unarmed, but no one was meant to admit that around here. Hearing footsteps she turned, "oh sorry, I didn't hear you. Made me jump" and maybe she wasn't meant to have heard them, she wasn't willing to risk it to find out.
