The scent of blood is thick in the air and it makes their bones tremble. They fight back the way their bones want to break and elongate. Beginning the shift now would only make them a liability and it's that idea that makes them swallow down the panic that rises in their throat. They can hear the sound of flesh ripping and Arte once again has to fight back the urge to run. But they have a pack now, people to be responsible for, and people they don't want to see hurt.

They see a group of people, humans maybe, or witches. The scents are hard to tell apart amidst the chaos, but there's a matching look of uncertainty and fear on all of their faces, rather than the bloodlust and anger of some of the others. Their suspicions are confirmed when they see someone lunge towards them, a stake in hand. Even if none of them were vampires, the weapon would still do damage.

Arte tackles the hunter with a grunt, sending the wood clattering away as they scuffle briefly. Once again frustrated by the way the mask limits their sight, they pull it off and send it smashing down on the hunter's head, and they shudder as they feel something crack underneath the force of their blow. "C'mon, we need to move," they say as they stumble to their feet, leading them off towards where one of the doors leads out to the parking lot.

The Alpha kicks open an emergency side door, figuring that this counted as one. As they emerge outside, they freeze as they nearly crash directly into someone running the opposite direction. The flash of red hair is distinct and gnawingly familiar, and they blurt out the question before they realize how strange it sounds.

She was dying - she could feel it - she could feel her bones wanting to snap and bend and crack. There was this constant monster panting in the back of her neck, like a dog's pant but heavier and worse. But every time she turned her head, there was nothing. There were these yellow eyes haunting her - real or not, it scared the absolute shit out of her. When she closed her eyes, first at night, then it became worse, every time she even blinked it was there. Chasing her, haunting her, toying with her. She couldn't get it out of her mind. And there were those monstruous teeth - a loud snarl that went through her head when she got too distracted or that woke her up in the middle of the night. She'd found herself bathing in sweat, her heartbeat ready to give in with the rate it would be pounding and cold chills running down her ice cold body.

She didn't know how she'd made it to the bar, her mind was blanking on all kinds of details - it was spotting. Had she worked today? There were fragments present in her mind, but was that of today? Had she closed the bakery? Had she even walked Riley?

Her heart nearly plunged itself to death inside her chest, her face as white as that of a ghosts - her fists find the door to Heron Club, in a plea to see her friend.

''Nic, Nic! Are you there? Please -'' she tried to shout but her lungs felt incapacitated, she couldn't get enough air to stand a chance, her voice was shrill and quiet. Her fists bonking now a weak attempt at even trying to uphold herself at the door, ''- help.''

Now Ben and Jerry's dropped their apartheid, how about calling out other companies who have supported is*ael or have got money frm it in some way, like The Mary Sue, The Serfs, Ryan Knight, Brooklyn Dad Defiant? Don't play favourites.

The entire point of my post…was that Ben & Jerry’s didn’t stop selling to/in Israel. I’ve also been without wifi and with shitty cell service for the past month, and have been in airports/planes all day, and still have a few hours to go. I’ve got a few posts that I’m working that go over 1) the entire Palestine occupation by Israel, 2) Palestinian owned companies and companies that support Palestine, 3) companies who support Israel that we need to either boycott or try to get them to stop supporting Israel, and 4) organizations that help Palestinians and people to follow to see more about the situation going on in occupied Palestinian territory.

The reason I made the post about Ben & Jerry’s is because it was something I I was seeing a lot on social media, and people were acting like B&J were no longer selling in Israel at all. Please don’t assume that just because I don’t have a post about every single company that sells to/in Israel that I’m picking favorites. When I’m posting things that line up with events that happened within a few days before that post, it’s because it’s all over my feed and I decided that it would be a good time to post about a current event.
