The Diplomat
Hi friends,
Since I'm a Daemon girly through and through and horny as fuck, I imagined what it would be like to have terrible, angry sex with Daemon. None of the fics were hitting the spot, so I wrote one instead. There are two parts to this story, but the second part can be read as a standalone if you squint a little. Here is part one, enjoy!
✨My Masterlist✨
Summary: Your marriage to Daemon has been marked by tempers and tempests, but when he proposes setting the Riverlands ablaze, the need for reason has never been more urgent.

Daemon Targaryen x Wife!Reader
MDNI!!!
The small council chamber was thick with unease. Though the warm spring breeze drifted through the high windows, stirring the black banners bearing the sigil of House Targaryen, it did little to lighten the atmosphere. The men gathered around the long oak table wore the weight of the discussion in their stiff shoulders and furrowed brows.
Ser Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, spoke first, his voice measured but edged with authority. “The Blackwoods insist their knight acted in self-defense. He claims the Bracken lord drew steel first and would have struck him down had he not defended himself.”
Across the table, Lord Lyman Beesbury adjusted his spectacles, his aged face lined with worry. “Regardless of intent, a Bracken heir lies dead. His father demands retribution, and he’s mustered men to see it done. This feud risks spilling over into open conflict, my lords.”
“It has always been this way between the Brackens and Blackwoods,” chimed in Lord Tyland Lannister, his golden hair gleaming in the sunlight. He leaned back in his chair with an air of indifference. “Their hatred for one another is practically tradition. Why should the crown involve itself in their petty quarrels?”
“Because they are sworn to the crown,” Otto replied sharply, his gaze narrowing. “Their lands and titles are held in service to the Iron Throne. If we do not intervene, their conflict will destabilize the Riverlands and undermine royal authority.”
Daemon scoffed loudly, drawing every gaze in the room. He lounged in his chair, though his posture was more calculated than relaxed. His dark eyes glittered with impatience. “Destabilize? Spare me your dramatics, Otto. This is nothing more than two dogs fighting over scraps. Let them tire themselves out.”
“And when those scraps include burnt villages and dead smallfolk?” Otto countered, his tone clipped. “You would have the crown turn a blind eye while the Riverlands descend into chaos?”
Daemon leaned forward then, his voice dropping to a dangerous growl. “I would have the crown remind them who they answer to. Send riders, summon their lords to kneel before the throne. If they refuse, then you send swords.”
Lord Beesbury sputtered, his hand trembling slightly as he adjusted his quill. “Violence is hardly the answer, my prince. Surely, diplomacy—”
“Diplomacy has done nothing but embolden them,” Daemon snapped, cutting him off. “Every year, it’s the same. Bracken blames Blackwood, Blackwood blames Bracken. It’s a waste of the crown’s time and patience. They need to be reminded that their squabbles end where the Iron Throne begins.”
“You speak of violence as though it’s the only solution,” Tyland interjected smoothly. “The Riverlands are already tense. A heavy hand might unite them—against us.”
Viserys, who had remained silent until now, raised a hand, commanding the room’s attention. His weary expression spoke of a man burdened by the crown he wore. “Enough,” he said, his tone brooking no argument. “This matter is not so easily solved. Both houses have their grievances, and both claim to act in the right. I will need time to consider our response.”
Daemon’s chair scraped against the stone floor as he rose, his movements sharp with irritation. “While you consider, brother, they will act. And your indecision will be seen as weakness.”
Viserys’s gaze hardened. “Do not mistake thoughtfulness for weakness, Daemon.”
“Call it what you will,” Daemon muttered, turning on his heel and striding from the chamber, his dark cloak billowing behind him. The remaining lords exchanged wary glances but said nothing, the tension in the room thick enough to choke on.
Viserys sighed heavily, the sound of a man long accustomed to the burdens of the throne. His fingers drummed against the armrest of his chair as he watched the doors swing closed behind Daemon’s retreating figure. For a moment, the chamber was silent, save for the distant cries of gulls from Blackwater Bay and the faint murmur of activity in the Red Keep below.
“This council is concluded,” Viserys said at last, his voice quieter now, the fight drained from it. He rose from his chair, and the lords followed suit, their expressions a mix of relief and unease.
“Your Grace,” Otto began, stepping forward as the rest of the council prepared to file out. His tone was deferential, but the gleam in his eye betrayed his eagerness to press his point. “Might I suggest—”
“Not now, Otto,” Viserys interrupted, waving him off. “I’ve heard enough for today.”
The Hand of the King inclined his head, though the tightening of his lips spoke volumes about his displeasure. One by one, the council members departed, their whispered conversations trailing behind them like smoke.
Viserys lingered for a moment after the chamber was empty. The answers would come, but not today.
▪──── ⚔ ────▪
Daemon stormed through the halls of the Red Keep, his boots striking the stone floor with forceful purpose. Servants and courtiers scattered at the sight of him, their eyes darting to the crimson and black of his cloak, the Targaryen sigil embroidered in rich gold on his tunic.
The prince’s mind churned with frustration, the council’s deliberations replaying in his head like a wound he couldn’t stop picking at. Otto’s pompous tone, Tyland’s smug indifference, Viserys’s endless dithering—all of it grated against his pride.
By the time he reached the chambers he shared with you, the heat of his temper had reached its peak. He flung the doors open with enough force to make them shudder against the stone walls.
Inside, the room was a picture of calm. Sunlight filtered through the open windows, casting soft, golden light across the chamber. The faint scent of lavender lingered in the air, mingling with the sweet warmth of spring.
You sat near the hearth, cradling your young son in your arms. His small fingers grasped at a strand of your hair, his innocent laughter filling the room as you smiled down at him. The sight was a balm to any who might witness it—anyone but Daemon in his current state.
The nursemaid, standing a few paces away, froze at the sight of the prince’s thunderous expression. Her hands faltered mid-curtsy, and she looked to you for guidance, her face pale.
“Out,” Daemon barked, his voice sharp enough to cut. He didn’t bother looking at her as he strode into the room, his dark eyes locked on you.
The nursemaid hesitated for only a moment before gathering the child in her arms and retreating swiftly, her footsteps nearly silent against the rush of Daemon’s presence.
When the door closed behind her, Daemon’s pacing began, each step a sharp, deliberate motion that mirrored the storm in his mind. His hands flexed at his sides, as though longing to grip the hilt of Dark Sister and channel his anger into something tangible.
“This is what passes for leadership now,” he began, his voice low but vibrating with suppressed rage. “My brother, the king, sitting in that gods-damned chair, twiddling his thumbs while the Riverlands teeter on the edge of chaos!”
You set your book aside, folding your hands in your lap as you watched him. You had seen Daemon in this mood before, his temper a force of nature that could not be stopped but only weathered. It was better to let him speak, to let the storm rage until it spent itself.
“I told them what needed to be done,” he continued, his pacing growing faster. “Ride out, demand their fealty, remind them who they serve. But no—Viserys would rather sit and think.” His lip curled as he spat the word, as though it were a curse.
Daemon’s pacing was relentless, his steps carving invisible lines into the chamber floor. His voice rose as he continued, his words dripping with scorn. “Otto’s solution? Send letters. As if words written on parchment will mend generations of blood feuds! And Tyland—he all but shrugged! ‘Let them fight it out,’ he said, as though it’s his lands that will burn when the fighting starts. Useless, the lot of them.”
He paused, finally turning to you, his dark eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and expectation. “And my brother,” he growled, his hands clenching into fists. “The great Viserys, King of the Seven Kingdoms, paralyzed by his own fear of making the wrong choice. He’ll sit there until it’s too late, as he always does, and then expect me to clean up his mess.”
You met his gaze calmly, though you could feel the weight of his fury pressing against you like a tangible force. “Daemon,” you said gently, your tone an attempt to temper the flames threatening to consume him.
But he wasn’t ready to be calmed. “No,” he snapped, cutting you off before you could say more. “Don’t tell me to let it go. You weren’t there. You didn’t see the way they looked at me—like I was some brash fool for speaking sense. They undermine me at every turn, and Viserys allows it!”
His voice echoed off the walls, and for a moment, the room fell silent. The distant sounds of the Red Keep seemed impossibly far away, muted by the tension that filled the space between you.
You rose from your seat slowly, smoothing the fabric of your gown as you crossed the room to stand before him. He watched you, his chest rising and falling with the force of his anger, his jaw tight.
“I’m not telling you to let it go,” you said softly, placing a hand on his chest. His tunic was warm beneath your palm, the steady thrum of his heartbeat betraying the tempest within. “I’m asking you to save it for when it matters most. You’ll have your chance to be heard again. But not if you burn yourself out now.”
For a moment, Daemon said nothing. His eyes searched yours, his expression still tight with frustration, but the tension in his shoulders eased just slightly. He placed a hand over yours, his fingers curling around it as if anchoring himself.
“They don’t listen,” he muttered, though the edge in his voice had dulled. “Not to me. Not unless I force them to.”
“Then make them listen,” you replied, your tone firm but kind. “But not like this. Not in anger.”
His lips twisted into a smirk, though it lacked its usual sharpness. “You think you know me so well,” he said, his voice softer now, almost teasing.
“I do,” you replied simply, holding his gaze.
Daemon sighed, the last of his anger bleeding away as he pulled you into his arms. His embrace was strong, almost possessive, as if you were the only thing grounding him in that moment.
“You’re too clever for your own good,” he murmured into your hair.
“And you’re too stubborn for yours,” you replied, earning a low chuckle from him.
When he pulled back, his expression was lighter, though the frustration lingered in his eyes. “The feast,” you said gently, steering him toward a different focus. “Rhaenyra’s wedding is in a few days. You should be thinking about that, not letting the council get under your skin.”
Daemon snorted, but there was no heat behind it. “Unity,” he muttered, echoing words he had likely heard too many times already. “A grand spectacle to pretend the realm isn’t fracturing beneath us.”
You arched a brow. “Then let them believe otherwise. Isn’t that the game of thrones you so enjoy?”
He let out a short laugh, the sound both bitter and amused. “You’ve been spending too much time around me.”
You smiled, brushing a hand along his arm. “Perhaps.”
Daemon released a long breath, the tension in his shoulders finally softening as he stepped away, his gaze drifting toward the open window. The warm spring breeze ruffled his silver hair, and for a moment, he looked less like the fearsome rogue prince and more like the restless man you had come to know so intimately.
“The wedding feast,” he said, the words tasting foreign on his tongue. “A spectacle of union for a realm that can’t even decide which house to favor in a petty feud.”
You stepped closer, your tone light yet pointed. “And yet it’s not the realm’s union we’re celebrating, is it? It’s Rhaenyra’s.”
Daemon turned back to you, his expression softening further at the mention of his niece. His lips quirked into a faint smirk, and he tilted his head. “I’ll admit, the girl’s managed to surprise me. Agreeing to wed Laenor Velaryon of all people. I thought she’d have burnt the keep to ashes before conceding.”
You chuckled softly, reaching for his hand. “Perhaps she learned from someone that rebellion isn’t always about fire and blood. Sometimes, it’s about choosing when to bend, so you can strike harder later.”
He raised a brow at that, his smirk deepening. “If you’re insinuating that I’ve taught her anything resembling restraint, I fear you’ve misunderstood me, my lady.”
“Not restraint,” you countered, your thumb brushing over the back of his hand. “Strategy. She’s clever, your niece. As clever as you are, and just as stubborn.”
Daemon’s gaze softened further, and he let out a quiet laugh. “She’ll need that stubbornness to endure what’s ahead. The Velaryons are not without their pride.”
“And neither are the Targaryens,” you replied with a small smile. “It’s fitting, really—a match to unite two ancient houses and bolster the realm’s strength. A necessary union, no matter how imperfect it may seem.”
He sighed, his free hand coming up to pinch the bridge of his nose. “A necessary union,” he echoed. “And yet, Viserys sees it as more than that. He thinks it’ll heal old wounds and inspire loyalty. As if a feast and a wedding can undo years of division.”
“Maybe it can’t,” you admitted, your voice softening. “But it can remind people of what’s worth fighting for—family, unity, the realm’s future. Even if it’s only for a night.”
Daemon looked at you then, his expression unreadable. But there was a warmth in his gaze, one that seemed to melt away the last of his earlier frustration. He pulled you closer, his hands settling on your waist.
“You have a way of making everything seem simpler,” he murmured, his voice quieter now. “Even when it’s not.”
“It’s a gift,” you teased, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. “Now, will you let me dress you in something appropriate for the feast, or will I have to endure your complaints the entire evening?”
He chuckled, the sound deep and rich. “Oh, you’ll endure them regardless. But yes, my dear, I’ll wear whatever ridiculous finery you deem fit. I wouldn’t want to shame you in front of the court.”
“Nonsense, perish the thought,” you said with a grin, resting your forehead against his.
For now, the storm had truly passed, and in its wake, a fragile peace remained. The feast loomed ahead, a symbol of hope for some and an illusion for others. But in this moment, there was only you and Daemon, and that was enough.
▪──── ⚔ ────▪
The grand hall of the Red Keep was resplendent, its vaulted ceilings adorned with streaming banners bearing the sigils of the realm’s great houses. Flickering torchlight and the warm glow of chandeliers lit the space, casting dancing shadows over the lavish feast laid upon long trestle tables. The scent of roasted meats, fresh-baked bread, and spiced wine filled the air, mingling with the murmur of conversation and the occasional burst of laughter.
Rhaenyra sat at the head table beside her new husband, Laenor Velaryon, her expression poised but faintly distant, as though she carried the weight of the realm’s gaze with practiced indifference. Her silver hair was woven with pearls, and her gown shimmered with dragonfire embroidery, every inch the picture of Targaryen majesty.
The lords and ladies of the realm had gathered in full force, a sea of vibrant colors and glittering jewels, their movements a choreographed dance of subtle rivalries and unspoken alliances. Among them sat the Brackens and Blackwoods, carefully separated and positioned at opposite ends of the hall. Their faces were schooled into neutrality, their hands busy with goblets of wine or trencher bread, but the tension between the two houses was palpable to those who knew where to look.
You were seated at Daemon’s side at a table reserved for the royal family, a position that afforded you a perfect view of the festivities—and the undercurrents of unease beneath them. Daemon was dressed impeccably in dark crimson and black, his usual defiance tempered into a sharp elegance that suited him well. His expression was unreadable as he sipped his wine, but you could see the way his gaze flickered over the room, cataloging every interaction, every veiled slight.
“They’ve managed not to kill each other—for now,” Daemon murmured, his voice low enough for only you to hear. His eyes flicked toward the Brackens and Blackwoods, a glint of amusement mingling with his sharp scrutiny.
“Give them time,” you replied dryly, reaching for your own goblet. “The wine hasn’t yet worked its magic.”
Daemon chuckled, his smirk deepening as he leaned closer. “Or its mischief.”
You arched a brow at him, though you couldn’t help but smile. “You seem far too entertained by the prospect of chaos at your niece’s wedding.”
He shrugged, his gaze shifting back to the hall. “Chaos keeps the night interesting.”
Before you could respond, a herald’s voice rang out, calling for the first dance. All eyes turned to Rhaenyra and Laenor as they rose from their seats, their movements graceful as they stepped onto the polished floor. The music began, a lively tune that seemed to ripple through the hall like a spark catching fire.
The lords and ladies soon followed, filling the floor with a swirl of color and movement. Laughter and applause echoed as couples spun and twirled, their steps weaving together in intricate patterns.
Daemon leaned back in his chair, his fingers drumming idly against the table. “Are you going to make me dance, too?” he asked, his tone teasing.
You smirked, leaning closer to him. “I was going to let you off easy tonight. But if you insist…”
He groaned in mock exasperation, earning a soft laugh from you. For a moment, the tension of the evening faded, replaced by the warmth of shared humor.
But even as the festivities unfolded, you couldn’t shake the sense that the peace was fragile, a veneer that could crack at any moment. The Brackens and Blackwoods were not the only ones walking a fine line tonight, and in the shadow of the Iron Throne, every move felt like a gamble.
Daemon’s groan was followed by a mischievous grin, the kind that always made your chest tighten and your resolve weaken. “You’re insufferable,” he said, though there was no heat to his words as he extended a hand toward you.
“And you’re predictable,” you countered, placing your hand in his. His fingers wrapped around yours, firm yet careful, as he guided you from your seat.
The music shifted as you both stepped onto the dance floor, the melody lilting into a slower, more intimate tune. The crowd parted, eyes subtly following your movements as you took your place in the center of the floor with the rogue prince at your side. You could feel the weight of their attention, but you were no stranger to it.
Daemon’s hand rested lightly on your waist, his other holding yours as he began to lead you in the dance. His steps were confident, fluid, each movement purposeful yet unhurried. “They’re watching us,” he murmured, his voice low and for your ears alone.
“They always are,” you replied, tilting your head to meet his gaze. “You’re hard to ignore.”
His smirk deepened, his thumb brushing against your hand. “And you,” he said, his tone softer now, “make it impossible.”
You rolled your eyes at his flattery but couldn’t stop the smile tugging at your lips. The dance brought you closer, his hand at your waist pulling you just shy of propriety, but enough to make your heart race.
The world around you seemed to fade, the music and laughter becoming a distant hum as you moved together. Daemon’s presence was magnetic, his intensity grounding yet exhilarating, as though the two of you existed in a world apart from the one where alliances were made and broken over cups of wine.
“You’re rather light on your feet for someone who pretends to loathe courtly things,” you teased, letting him spin you gently before drawing you back into his arms.
Don’t mistake talent for affection,” he replied, though his smirk betrayed him. “I’d burn this entire hall if it meant avoiding another round of politics.”
“And yet, here you are,” you said, your tone light but pointed. “Dancing at a wedding, pretending to tolerate the people you claim to despise.”
“For you,” he said simply, his voice low and sincere in a way that made your breath hitch. “Always for you.”
For a moment, the tension of the feast melted away, replaced by the warmth of his confession. But it was fleeting, a stolen moment in a night that promised anything but peace.
As the dance came to an end, Daemon held your gaze, his hand lingering at your waist. Applause filled the hall, but you barely heard it, your focus locked on the man before you.
“You’re going to set tongues wagging,” you said softly, stepping back as decorum demanded.
“Let them wag,” he replied, his smirk returning. “They’d do it anyway.”
The spell was broken as the music shifted again, and other couples moved to fill the floor. Daemon led you back to your seat, his hand brushing against yours one last time before he turned his attention back to the feast.
The hall was alive with revelry, yet beneath the surface, you could feel the fragile balance of the evening teetering. The Brackens and Blackwoods had kept to themselves so far, but there was no denying the sharp glances exchanged across the room, nor the tension lingering like a storm on the horizon.
Daemon, of course, noticed it too. He leaned toward you, his voice low and conspiratorial. “How long do you think it’ll take before someone breaks the peace?”
You gave him a sidelong glance. “Hopefully not before dessert.”
His laughter was soft but genuine, a rare moment of levity in a night that felt like a game played on the edge of a knife.
▪──── ⚔ ────▪
The revelry continued unabated, the music and laughter rising to fill the cavernous hall. Goblets were refilled, plates heaped with delicacies, and the scent of roasted quail and sweet pastries hung heavy in the air. Yet, despite the vibrant atmosphere, an undercurrent of unease persisted—an unspoken tension that seemed to ripple just beneath the surface.
At opposite ends of the hall, the Brackens and Blackwoods remained in their carefully orchestrated positions. Their eyes rarely wandered toward one another, but when they did, it was with the kind of simmering disdain that no amount of protocol could conceal.
Daemon leaned lazily back in his chair, one arm draped over the back of your seat. His eyes roamed the hall, sharp and assessing despite the deceptively casual posture. He sipped his wine, his smirk growing as his gaze lingered on the Bracken table.
“They’re twitching like hounds on a short leash,” he muttered, the words meant only for you.
“You’re not helping,” you replied, though your own gaze flickered toward the Blackwoods, where a young lord’s hand gripped the stem of his goblet just a little too tightly.
The first sign of trouble came in the form of a raised voice—a sharp, mocking laugh from the Bracken side of the hall. Heads turned as Ser Amos Bracken, a stout man with a ruddy complexion, leaned back in his chair, his booming voice carrying over the din.
“Tell me, young Blackwood,” Amos said, his words dripping with condescension, “is it true your family still claims descent from the First Men? Seems a bold thing to boast when all it’s earned you is a table in the corner.”
A ripple of uneasy laughter followed, and for a moment, it seemed as though the insult might go unanswered. But then, a young Blackwood lord—tall, lean, and barely out of boyhood—rose from his seat, his face flushed with anger.
“And yet we’re here,” the Blackwood retorted, his voice steady despite the tremor in his hands. “Unlike your ancestors, who’d sooner kneel to any conqueror who offered them a scrap of power.”
The hall fell silent.
Daemon’s smirk widened, and he leaned closer to you, his voice a low murmur. “Here we go.”
You shot him a sharp look, but before you could reply, the tension in the hall snapped like a drawn bowstring.
Ser Amos Bracken surged to his feet, his chair scraping loudly against the stone floor. “You’ve got a sharp tongue for a boy who hides behind his mother’s skirts!” he barked, his meaty hand slamming down on the table.
“And you’ve got a lot of nerve for a man whose house clings to its titles like barnacles to a sinking ship!” the Blackwood shot back, stepping forward.
The two were separated by the breadth of the hall, but the air between them was charged, their mutual hatred igniting like dry kindling.
From his place at the head table, Viserys rose, his voice booming over the commotion. “Enough!” he commanded, his face flushed with the effort of asserting authority. “This is a wedding feast, not a battlefield!”
The hall quieted, though the tension lingered like smoke after a fire. The Bracken and Blackwood men glared at one another, their hands twitching near their sword hilts despite the king’s warning.
Beside you, Daemon watched with unveiled amusement, his smirk never faltering. “Viserys will tire of this soon enough,” he said, leaning back in his chair. “And when he does, the real fun begins.”
You sighed, your hand reaching for your goblet. “It’s a wonder we ever manage to call ourselves united,” you muttered.
The feast continued, but the mood had shifted. The Brackens and Blackwoods returned to their seats, though their tempers simmered just beneath the surface, waiting for the slightest provocation to boil over.
And in the shadows of the great hall, as wine flowed and music played, you couldn’t help but wonder how long this fragile peace would last.
The feast dragged on long after the first sparks of conflict had settled into the deep, tense silence of uneasy truce. The Brackens and Blackwoods remained seated at opposite ends of the hall, their eyes darting sideways, but never meeting. The music played, but it seemed faint, muted by the hum of strained politeness. The air was thick with the weight of unsaid words and the knowledge that the night was not done with its drama yet.
Daemon’s hand never left your side, though he barely spoke throughout the evening. His gaze, sharp and watchful, moved across the hall with the same intensity he had shown in the small council, as if he were cataloging every movement, every slight. Yet, when he turned to you, the ever-present amusement lingered in his eyes, softened by the flicker of warmth that only you could evoke.
▪──── ⚔ ────▪
Finally, the night wore on long enough that the revelers began to tire. The hall was slowly emptied of its guests, many of them still nursing their drinks, their conversations lowered to murmurs. It was only then that you and Daemon rose from the table, both of you feeling the weight of the evening—its many unspoken tensions—and the need to retreat from it all.
As you made your way through the shadowed halls of the Red Keep, your thoughts were heavy, your feet quickening to match the pace of Daemon’s long strides. The air had cooled slightly, but the heat of the feast still lingered in your chest, the pressing weight of what had transpired and what might yet come. You were both silent, the quiet of the corridors filled only with the faint sound of your footfalls.
Upon reaching your chambers, the door was barely shut before Daemon’s mouth found yours in a fierce kiss, a hungry press of lips that spoke more than words could. It was a fire that hadn’t been stoked since the tension of the council, since the weight of the evening’s events, and now, it erupted between you both, a spark turning into a blaze.
His hands were quick, unhurried but firm, as they sought the fastenings of your gown, the fabric brushing over your skin like a whisper. He pulled you closer, his breath warm against your ear, as he murmured words that had no need for meaning—just the undeniable presence of him, the demand of his touch. You responded in kind, your hands threading through his silver hair, pulling him even closer, your own lips demanding, pushing, surrendering.
The world beyond your chambers ceased to exist, only the feel of his body pressed against yours, the heat of your skin mingling in the dim light of the room. The frantic pace, the shared desperation—this was the only way to truly escape the suffocating expectations of the night, of the court, of the world that always surrounded you both.
Time seemed to lose all meaning as you moved together, your bodies in perfect sync, the world beyond the stone walls forgotten. And when it was over, when the storm had finally subsided, you lay together in the coolness of the sheets, breathing heavily, the weight of the night still lingering but now softened, shared between you.
For a moment, there was only quiet, the kind that spoke of an intimacy deeper than any words. But eventually, Daemon’s voice broke the silence, his tone low and thoughtful.
“You’re quiet,” he murmured, his fingers trailing lazily down your arm. “I expected you to have more to say about tonight.”
You shifted slightly, propping yourself up on one elbow as you looked at him, his silver eyes darkened by the faint candlelight, the weight of the evening still present but subdued now. “What more is there to say?” you asked, your voice soft, though a trace of the earlier tension remained in it. “It’s all a game, isn’t it? A dance between houses, between power, between… everything we can’t control.”
Daemon’s lips quirked into a faint, almost rueful smile. “Not everything is a game,” he said, his voice low, his hand coming to rest on your waist. “But sometimes it’s the only thing worth playing.”
You let out a small laugh, but it was tinged with weariness. “And we’re all just pawns.”
He turned toward you fully now, his eyes sharp but softer, the edges of his smirk fading into something more sincere. “Not pawns. We’re the ones pulling the strings, whether we admit it or not.”
You met his gaze, searching his face for any sign of doubt or calculation, but found none. For all his cynical remarks, for all his posturing, Daemon was a man who knew the weight of power—and the way it could be wielded.
And yet, there was a part of you that wondered if, beneath it all, he still feared being pulled into the same web of politics, of manipulation, of being a player rather than a kingmaker.
“I suppose we have no choice but to play,” you said after a moment, your voice softer now, more resigned. “And if we can’t win, we make sure no one else does.”
Daemon chuckled, the sound low and dark, and he pulled you closer, his lips brushing against your forehead. “That’s the spirit. And if the night’s mischief didn’t satisfy you, you can always count on me to make things interesting tomorrow.”
You smiled faintly, your fingers idly tracing patterns along his chest. “Let’s sleep first,” you said, the exhaustion of the day finally catching up to you. “We can fight the battles tomorrow.”
Daemon’s arms tightened around you as he kissed your hair softly. “Tomorrow, then. But for tonight, let’s leave the world outside.”
And as the flickering candlelight cast long shadows on the walls, you closed your eyes, the weight of the night finally lifting, knowing that come the dawn, the battles would still await—but for now, you were content to simply rest beside him, the world outside a distant echo. ▪──── ⚔ ────▪
The next morning, the tension that had hung heavy over the wedding feast still clung to the air in the Red Keep. Even the rays of sunlight filtering through the high windows of the small council chamber seemed to carry an oppressive weight, as if the very castle itself was holding its breath. The room, normally filled with the dull murmur of routine affairs, now buzzed with the friction of yesterday’s simmering conflict.
Viserys sat at the head of the table, his usually placid expression marred by a faint crease between his brows. The day after Rhaenyra’s wedding feast, it seemed the wounds were still fresh, not just in the eyes of the Brackens and Blackwoods, but in the silent resentments of the council members who had grown all too accustomed to the tense dance of alliances.
Daemon sat with his usual relaxed posture, though there was no hiding the coldness that lingered in his eyes. He had never been one to mince words or tolerate the games of court, and today, it seemed, his patience was thinner than ever.
The council’s discussion was still focused on the aftermath of the previous evening’s altercation. Some spoke of ways to soothe the ruffled egos of the Brackens and Blackwoods, but it was clear no one quite knew how to do so without further escalating the situation.
Lord Mervyn, a portly noble with the tendency to speak before thinking, suggested, "Perhaps we should offer them gold—some measure of coin to settle their quarrels, a show of goodwill."
The Master of Coin, Lord Ormund, a sharp-eyed man with a wry sense of humor, laughed aloud, his voice cutting through the tension. “Gold?” he scoffed, shaking his head. “And where, pray tell, do you expect to find this coin? We are in a constant state of debt, Mervyn. Should we start selling off the castle to please the Brackens and Blackwoods?”
The room shifted uncomfortably, though Lord Mervyn, his cheeks growing redder by the second, remained silent, his suggestion now hanging in the air like a poorly timed joke.
Daemon rolled his eyes, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “Perhaps we should all just stop speaking entirely, seeing as it’s become a contest to see who can drone on the longest about the same petty squabbles.” His words were not aimed at anyone in particular, but they struck a chord in the room.
The rest of the council fell into a strained silence. Viserys sighed deeply, rubbing his forehead as if to ward off the growing headache he surely felt. “Enough,” he commanded, his voice quiet but firm. “Let us take a break for now. I will consider all your suggestions and call upon you when I have come to a decision.”
The meeting, like so many before it, ended without resolution. There were no clear answers, no easy solutions to the brewing tensions in the realm. The room emptied slowly, each member of the council filing out, their faces etched with the same frustrations.
Daemon stood quickly, brushing past his fellow lords without a glance, his movements sharp and restless. He had never been one to tolerate idle chatter, least of all in a place that made him feel like a caged animal.
With a grunt, he headed for the exit, intent on blowing off steam in the training yard. It was there that he could find his peace, if only for a moment—away from the endless plotting and bickering of the council.
▪──── ⚔ ────▪
The council meeting had ended in a tense, uncertain silence. Daemon’s comments had left the room heavy with discomfort, and the usual murmurs among the lords had subsided into a quiet unease. The entire realm could feel the tension as it thickened in the Red Keep, especially with the lords now speaking in hushed tones about Daemon’s latest tantrum. His temper, unchecked and untamed, was becoming too much even for his own family to ignore.
You, however, were no stranger to Daemon’s anger, and as much as it threatened to boil over, you knew something had to be done. The matter was already critical—his pride had endangered everything, and the last thing you could afford was another of his impulsive decisions damaging the realm.
You had not attended the council meeting; there was no need. You knew that the key to solving this issue would lie not in words spoken around the council table, but in private action, taken swiftly and subtly.
When the last of the councilors had left the chamber, you’d already made your way to Viserys’s solar, your mind fixed on a plan. The moment you stepped into the room, you could sense the quiet weight of the king’s exhaustion. His shoulders slumped under the weight of the crown, and there was a weariness in his eyes that had grown familiar over the years.
He turned slowly as you entered, a faint glimmer of recognition in his gaze. “So, it’s done then,” Viserys remarked, his voice low and heavy with the same tension that clung to the walls. He knew. The moment Daemon’s rage had been unleashed, it had been clear that something would need to be done, but you had taken no part in the council’s discussion.
You closed the door softly behind you, moving closer to the king. “Daemon’s actions cannot go unchecked any longer, Your Grace. The Brackens and Blackwoods have made their demands clear, and the council is growing restless. This will escalate if we don’t step in quickly.”
Viserys’s lips tightened in a frown. “And you have a solution?” he asked, though the weariness in his voice suggested he was more than ready to hear one.
You nodded, settling yourself beside him at the table. “I do. I’ve already considered it carefully.”
Viserys raised an eyebrow, his gaze fixed on you with curiosity but no doubt. “Speak plainly, then. What do you propose?”
You hesitated for a moment before diving into the details, your voice steady and measured. “The Brackens are proud. They demand recognition, something that will soothe their wounded egos and quell their desire for vengeance. We offer them a royal boon—a land claim that will satisfy their pride and keep them from seeking bloodshed.”
Viserys listened intently, his gaze not wavering. You knew that he understood the importance of keeping the peace, especially in the wake of Daemon’s volatile temper. “And the Blackwoods?” he asked, his brow furrowing slightly as he sought clarification.
“The Blackwoods are more about justice. They’ll demand the life of the knight who wronged them, but we can’t allow that. Instead, I will offer them exile to the Night’s Watch. It’s a compromise—justice without bloodshed.”
Viserys nodded slowly, considering the weight of your words. “And how do we prevent Daemon from knowing about this?”
You smiled softly, though there was no humor in it. “That’s where you come in, Your Grace. This needs to be seen as your decision—your action. We will stage a public reconciliation ceremony, where both the Brackens and Blackwoods will swear oaths of peace before the Iron Throne. The realm will believe it was your command. Daemon will not suspect a thing.”
Viserys stared at you for a long moment, his expression shifting as he absorbed the intricacies of your plan. You could see the internal conflict on his face—he had always strived to maintain the appearance of unity between himself and his brother, but there was no denying the mounting pressure to act swiftly. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he sighed, his shoulders drooping.
“This will anger Daemon,” he said, the words heavy with the weight of a decision he knew he would have to make. “He will not take kindly to being excluded from such an important matter.”
You nodded in agreement. “I know. But we cannot afford to let his temper ruin everything. We need to act swiftly, before the situation spirals beyond our control. The realm depends on it.”
Viserys stood slowly, walking to the window and staring out over the city below. You could see the exhaustion and the weariness of ruling in his every movement. Finally, he turned back to you, his expression resolute.
“Very well,” he said, his voice carrying the heavy authority of a king. “I will handle it. But you must understand, this may not be the last time we face such a challenge with Daemon.”
“I understand, Your Grace,” you replied quietly, your voice resolute. “But for now, we act. This will prevent any further escalation, and it will protect the realm.”
Viserys gave a small nod, a faint trace of a smile appearing on his lips as he stepped forward, his resolve hardening. “Then we proceed as you’ve outlined. You’ve made it clear that Daemon cannot know, and I’ll ensure that the public sees this as my decision, not his. It will work.”
You bowed your head slightly. “Thank you, Your Grace. This is the only way forward.”
As Viserys turned back to his window, the weight of the crown settling back on his shoulders, you knew that the plan was in motion. The Riverlands would be pacified, the Brackens and Blackwoods would be brought to heel, and Daemon would never suspect that it was you who had orchestrated it all behind his back.
▪──── ⚔ ────▪
The quiet hum of the Red Keep was always present in the early morning hours—footsteps echoing down long hallways, servants bustling with preparations, the distant sound of metal clashing as the guards went through their drills. But in the stillness of your chambers, there was no sign of movement save for the careful glide of your quill as it moved across the parchment. The dim light of the hearth flickered, casting shadows across the room, and the quiet whisper of ink meeting paper was the only sound you allowed yourself to hear.
The plan had been set into motion after a whispered discussion in Viserys’s solar. He had agreed, reluctantly, that action needed to be taken—but he had trusted you to carry it out. You had laid out the details of the diplomatic approach, and while it was Viserys’s seal that would adorn the letters, the intricate work, the precise wording, and the careful manipulation were all your doing. The king, though burdened by his crown, knew you were the one with the strength to handle the delicate negotiations.
You’d already sent word to the Brackens, a carefully worded letter crafted with precision. To them, you’d extended an olive branch wrapped in gold. A recognition of a contested land claim, something that would soothe their pride without pushing them too far. You had given them a reason to let go of their anger, without allowing them to feel they’d lost face.
Now, it was time to turn your attention to the Blackwoods.
You dipped your quill in ink once more, the tip gliding across the parchment. This letter was more delicate—more intricate. The Blackwoods had a deep sense of honor, and while they were willing to settle, their thirst for justice could not be ignored. You’d offered them the exile of the offending knight to the Night’s Watch, a compromise that would keep his life intact while still serving a form of justice. It would appease their pride, for their enemy would face punishment, but without the bloodshed that would only fan the flames of rebellion.
Each stroke of the quill was deliberate, forming words that sounded gentle but carried the weight of authority. You wrote as Viserys would, sealing your words in the king’s name, though it was clear to both of you that it was your own hands guiding the outcome. Viserys’s approval had been given with the understanding that the matter would be handled quietly, behind closed doors. The lords wouldn’t question the king’s actions—they would simply follow his lead, as they always did.
The letters were ready, each addressed to their respective families. You carefully rolled them, ensuring no trace of ink stained the edges, before sealing them with the king’s seal. You paused for a moment, looking at the waxen emblem, the sign of Viserys’s rule. It was a symbol of power, but it also carried the weight of everything you were trying to protect.
Ravens were summoned, and you entrusted them with the sealed letters. They would carry your carefully crafted words far from the Red Keep, bearing messages that would shape the future of the realm. And while Viserys would ultimately take credit for the decision, it was you who had orchestrated it all.
With the letters dispatched, you turned your attention to the next step of the plan: ensuring that the public reconciliation ceremony would go smoothly. But for now, you allowed yourself a rare moment of quiet. The ravens were on their way, and there was no turning back.
The small council chamber fell silent as Viserys took his seat at the head of the table, his weary eyes scanning the gathered lords. The air was thick with tension, remnants of Daemon’s outburst still hanging in the room.
“Let us be clear,” Viserys began, his voice steady but firm. “The situation with the Brackens and the Blackwoods has been resolved. There will be no bloodshed, no more open hostilities.”
Daemon, who had been sitting quietly, his expression simmering with frustration, leaned forward slightly, his voice low but sharp. “And you believe you can simply end this, without consulting me?”
Viserys’s gaze met his brother’s, unwavering. “I did not consult you, because this matter required swift and delicate action. It needed to be handled quietly, with the authority of the crown, not driven by emotion or pride.”
Daemon’s jaw tightened, but Viserys continued, his voice cool. “I’ve sent a message to both houses. The Blackwoods will receive the justice they desire, but in a way that preserves peace. The Brackens, meanwhile, will be granted a significant boon—a recognition of their claim to disputed lands. A small price to pay to prevent further bloodshed.”
Daemon’s eyes narrowed, his frustration bubbling beneath the surface. “And what of my role in this, brother? What role do I play in this ‘delicate’ matter?”
Viserys looked at him, unflinching. “Your role, Daemon, is not to interfere. You are the Commander of the City Watch, but this was not a matter for the City Watch. It was a matter of diplomacy. Of keeping the peace.”
He paused, allowing the words to settle in the air. “The reconciliation ceremony will take place before the Iron Throne. Both the Brackens and the Blackwoods will swear oaths of peace, under my direct orders.”
Daemon opened his mouth to speak, but Viserys raised a hand, silencing him. “The matter is settled. There will be no further discussion. The lords of the realm will see this as a wise move—one that ensures peace in the Riverlands.”
Viserys leaned back in his chair, his expression softening as he glanced around the room. “Now, we move on. We have more important matters to discuss. The realm cannot wait.”
The silence in the room was palpable as Daemon, his temper barely contained, stood up abruptly. His chair scraped loudly against the stone floor as he stormed out, leaving a tense stillness behind him.
Viserys turned to the remaining council members, his voice once again calm. “Let us proceed with the agenda.”
And with that, the council resumed, but the air was thick with unspoken words.
▪──── ⚔ ────▪
You weren’t expecting to find yourself outside the council chambers today, but the moment you heard raised voices echoing through the halls, you knew something was amiss. You didn’t need to hear the words to understand what was happening—Daemon and Viserys were locked in yet another heated argument.
As you neared the door, you paused, quietly listening to the tension that hung thick in the air between the two brothers. You knew this wasn’t a casual disagreement. No, this was deeper, more volatile than anything that had come before. Daemon’s temper was a fire that could not easily be quenched, and Viserys’s patience had long since reached its breaking point.
“—and you’re willing to let them do this without me?” Daemon’s voice rang out, full of disbelief and fury. “You sit there in your throne and make decisions that should be mine to make!”
Viserys’s voice followed, sharper, colder. “I am the king, Daemon! Not you. And you’re not in charge of the Riverlands. You’ve made it abundantly clear that your temper will only make matters worse, and I will not let you jeopardize everything we’ve worked for.”
You couldn’t help the tightness in your chest as you slowly opened the door. You knew that Viserys had been under pressure, but hearing the raw anger in both of their voices made your heart ache.
Daemon’s eyes snapped to you as you entered, his features momentarily softening when he saw you. But it didn’t last long. His frustration was too much to hide.
“You heard all of that, didn’t you?” he growled, his words aimed not at you but at the air around him. “He undermines me, as always.”
Viserys, still seated at the council table, gave a weary sigh, rubbing a hand over his face. “It’s for the good of the realm, Daemon. Your actions, your temper... they’ve made it impossible to move forward.”
Daemon took a step toward him, eyes blazing. “And you think I haven’t sacrificed enough for this family? For you?”
You stepped closer, placing a hand on Daemon’s arm gently, though the weight of the argument still hung between the brothers.
“Daemon,” you said softly, “let’s not do this now.” Your voice was calm, but firm, a gentle anchor amidst the storm. “You can talk about this later, after you've both had time to breathe.”
Daemon’s jaw clenched, his eyes still locked on his brother, but his posture softened ever so slightly as your touch worked its magic. He exhaled deeply, frustration still etched in every line of his face, but he made no further move toward his brother.
Viserys looked between the two of you, his gaze lingering on you for a moment longer. There was a faint flicker of something unreadable in his eyes before he stood, straightening his robes. “I’m done with this conversation for today,” he said coldly, and Daemon shot him one last, bitter glance before Viserys turned to leave.
As the door closed behind the king, the weight of the room seemed to lift, but Daemon’s anger still simmered beneath the surface. You could see it in his clenched fists, his furrowed brow, and the way his shoulders tensed with each breath.
You didn’t say anything at first. Instead, you gave him a moment to calm himself, knowing all too well that a conversation now would only lead to more frustration. Slowly, Daemon turned to face you, and when his eyes met yours, they were softer, though still clouded with the storm of emotion he was struggling to contain.
“You shouldn’t have heard that,” he murmured, his voice quieter now, the anger in it fading, replaced by a weariness that had settled deep within him. “It’s not for you to hear.”
You reached up, brushing your fingers along his jaw. “I know you’re frustrated, Daemon. I don’t like seeing you like this.” You paused, your gaze steady. “But this fight... it’s not one you’re going to win. Not now.”
Daemon was quiet for a long moment. Then, with a sigh, he pulled you closer, wrapping an arm around your waist. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with all this,” he admitted, his voice raw and vulnerable. “I don’t know how to make it stop.”
You held him a little tighter, feeling the weight of everything pressing on him. “I know. But we’ll figure it out together. You don’t have to do this alone.”
His arms tightened around you as he buried his face in your hair. For a moment, the tension seemed to lift, and all that remained was the two of you, holding on to each other in the quiet aftermath.
▪──── ⚔ ────▪
A week passed since the resolution of the Bracken and Blackwood dispute, and while Daemon’s anger had simmered down to a quiet brooding, the tension in the Red Keep was palpable. The lords had spoken their piece, the council had concluded their deliberations, and the kingdom, for now, appeared to be at rest. Yet you knew better than to believe in a calm that came too easily. The peace had been achieved—quietly, subtly—without Daemon’s direct knowledge.
It had been your plan, executed with careful precision. The letters sent under the king’s seal, the meetings with the Brackens and the Blackwoods, the subtle maneuvering to avoid bloodshed—all of it was your doing. Daemon remained unaware of your role in it, and you intended to keep it that way. His temper, as volatile as ever, had quieted somewhat since the ceremony in the throne room. Still, you couldn’t shake the feeling that the quiet between you both was fragile, and the whispers of the court only added to the unease.
The public reconciliation between the Brackens and the Blackwoods had been nothing short of a spectacle. The Iron Throne witnessed their sworn oaths of peace, pledging loyalty to the crown under Viserys’s direction. And while the ceremony had been regal and well-executed, the true work—the work done behind the scenes—remained a mystery to most.
But not to you. The weight of the success felt heavy, and you knew it would not stay secret for long. Even as you stood in the shadows of the throne room, observing the lords of the Riverlands make their pledges, you could hear the faint murmurs beginning to stir. First, it was a passing remark. A raised brow. Then, it grew louder, until it was impossible to ignore.
It was Daemon’s wife who had orchestrated it, they said. Not Viserys, not the king—Daemon’s wife. The rumors spread like wildfire. How had she managed to bring two feuding houses to the table? How had she secured the peace when all seemed lost? The whispers spoke not of Daemon’s involvement, but of your quiet influence. It was you who had orchestrated the peace—through your diplomacy, your steady resolve, and your deep understanding of the delicate balance that held the realm together.
At first, the whispers were faint, almost unnoticeable. But the longer the court simmered in its quiet post-celebration lull, the louder they became. A glance here, a sidelong comment there, as courtiers spoke behind their hands, careful not to draw too much attention. You overheard their theories—the reader of the letters, the one who had soothed the lords’ tempers, the one who had convinced the Brackens and the Blackwoods to lay down their swords.
Daemon had been busy in the training yard, his mind focused elsewhere, and so the whispers were a quiet storm that he hadn’t yet noticed. Yet, you knew it was only a matter of time before he pieced it together. For now, you kept to your silence. Your role in the peace had been deliberate. The credit, you were certain, would fall to Viserys. He was the king, after all, and it was his decision in the eyes of the realm. But it didn’t make the whispers any less insistent, nor did it quiet the growing suspicion in your heart that your husband might soon learn the truth.
You didn’t seek attention for your actions; your only goal had been the realm’s safety. But with each passing day, you could feel the weight of what you had done. Viserys had given you the freedom to act, trusting you to handle it, and you had. But now, as the court grew more talkative and the truth became less veiled, you couldn’t help but wonder: When would Daemon learn the full extent of your involvement? And what would his reaction be when he did?
The whispers only grew louder as the days wore on, echoing in the hallways and chambers, but for now, you remained tight-lipped. The peace had been secured. The rest, for the moment, didn’t matter.

The Fawn|| Dark! House Targaryen men (Maegor, Aenys, and Aegon II) various x Baratheon Reader
Meagor/Aenys
You are the daughter of Orys Baratheon, Rhaenys decided to take you in hopes of marrying you off to Aenys.
But she passed away before the arranged marriage could be annouced.
Aegon decided to keep you as a ward, and have Aenys engaged to Alyssa Velaryon instead
When Maegor was born, when you were six, you enjoyed playing with him, he reminded you of your dolls, that you treat like your babies.
As you grow up with Aenys and Maegor, you fall deeply in love with Aenys and viewed Maegor as your little brother, nothing more.
Aenys was also deeply in love with you.
But you got heartbroken when Aenys married Alyssa, and even though the first thing Aenys did was head to your chambers to claim that he still loves you.
You refused to continue your relationship with him, because you don't wish to ruin his marriage.
Even when Maegor grew up, becoming strong and skillful despite not owning a dragon.
Every tourney, he would win, you would become the queen of love and beauty.
Of course this is a scandal due to Maegor being already married to Ceryse Hightower which enraged many including Aenys.
After Aegon I passed away and Aenys became king, you were assigned with being a cupbearer.
Maegor didn't like that at all, and proposed to take you as a second wife, but you refused.
So he kidnapped you and forced you to marry him in a traditional valerian way, and when Aenys heard about that, he banished his brother.
Aenys dies, and Maegor returns from the banishment with you and his mother to take the throne, even if you hated the idea.
Yet you are too afraid to show refusal now that you are pregnant.
"I did this to save the realm from being ruled under a weak king just like what happened with Aenys, you must understand that I did it for us "
Aegon II Targaryen
You don't like Aegon for many reasons.
His sexual flirting, or his anger issues that comes out whenever you are with another boy.
Aegon pleaded with his grandfather to marry you to him.
And it worked, and you ended up marrying Aegon, despite both of you being young.
Aegon didn't give up his drinking habits but he gave up messing around with women for you.
And as time goes on you find yourself falling in love with him, especially after giving birth to the twins.
You realize that Aegon didn't have the best childhood, his father ignoring his existence while his mother and grandfather were harsh on him.
So, you tried to give him that love, and it worked as he found comfort in your embrace only.
He even began to reflect that love on Jaehaera and Jaehaerys and later on Maelor when he is born.
But when usurped the throne from his sister, though you pleaded with him not to do it, and he wasn't going to do.
But his mother placed fear in his head, the fear of you getting murdered along with the children after his older sister becomes the queen.
But with that choice, you decided to leave to Storm's End with your children in secret.
However the plan failed, as Aegon had spies around, whom inform him of everything inculding your handmaidens.
He locked you up and took the children away from you.
And when you try to apologize to get to see them, Aegon refused.
He even refused when you admitted that you are pregnant.
"After everything I did for us, for our family, you chose to betray me! You are not leaving those chambers until I die"

“My lady,” Your chambermaid spoke from the doorway, returning with a fresh pitcher of wine as you had requested, “Should I see the children to bed?”
“Please do,” Your voice was soft, the words fragile in your solemn state.
“It might be best for you to rest, rather than await the return of Prince Aemond.”
Her words were gentle, simply advising you to take care of yourself. But the fires of hurt and betrayal were already lit.
“What makes you believe that I am awaiting my husband?” With words more venomous than you intended, you bid her leave.
At the sound of the door shutting, you stood and moved toward the pitcher and chalice left idly by the fireplace. You poured the deep red liquid and lifted the cup to your lips, taking a generous gulp. The dull burn allowed some relief to your heightened senses. But you also knew that the alcohol only added fuel to your fire.
Rain began to pour over King’s Landing, softly thudding against the windows and stone of the castle walls. Usually, the rain would lull you to sleep, but it seemed the thunder of the skies only spurred you to continue drowning away the ache in your heart. Your eyes flickered over the second chalice that had been placed on the silver tray with your pitcher. It seemed that the servants expected Aemond to return to the Keep tonight. You were not sure if you wish for him to return or for him to drown in the heavy rains that poured from the sky.
As if the fool perfectly timed you, you glanced out the window to see the silhouette of Vhagar descending toward the Dragon Pits. In a drunken frenzy, you pulled the curtain to cover it, instead, the velvet fabric came down at your harsh tug.
The frustration would nearly boil over, but you did not allow the simple issues to push you over the threshold. As the Queen had often advised you, it was important that a lady bite her tongue and keep her composure even when she is by her lonesome. If someone saw the illusion of a proper lady shatter, it would be nearly impossible to recover from. She even revealed to you how she had come by this knowledge, sharing with you the events that occurred the night Aemond became the one-eyed prince.
Swiftly, you moved back toward the fireplace, picking up the parcel that a raven had delivered directly to you just this morning. It appeared blank to the simple eye, but when you hovered the note over the fire, the message revealed itself. The contents of it were simple, but completely shattered something inside of you:
She is with child.
Though the news had shocked you, the existence of the other woman did not. When Aemond and Daeron laid siege to Harrenhal and the Riverlands, word had traveled through the courts regarding the princes bedding other women. At the time, you had bit your tongue, excusing your husband’s infidelity as you convinced yourself it was just something he used to relieve his stress from battlefields.
But even after the marches through the Riverlands were claimed to be successful and at an end, Aemond would sometimes fly off to Harrenhal. He would say that he was just ensuring the hold that the Greens had on the region, yet you never believed his lies.
It was said that Harrenhal was cursed, blood mixed into the stone that built it. You believed the stories true after the great fire took the lives of Lord Lyonel and Ser Harwin when you were a child yourself. But now a curse had attached itself to your husband and kept him crawling back to the towers of Harrenhal.
The door cracked open, the hinges creaking as he entered, exhaustion painted over his face. Aemond was completely drenched, his hair now scrunched into waves rather than falling perfectly straight. Most of his leather overlayer had been discarded for the servants to see to, leaving him in a black tunic and pants with his riding boots.
It took him a few moments, but Aemond quickly came to realize that you were resting by the fire rather than fast asleep in your shared bed.
“Should you not be sleeping, dear wife?” Aemond called out to you while readying himself to turn into bed.
“Sleep has… escaped me recently,” You replied, eyes remaining on the fire. Only at his words did the nerves begin to spur inside you. How would he react when you told him? What would tomorrow bring? None of it really mattered, you supposed, as long as you didn’t allow your nerves to get the best of you.
Now in his proper bedclothes, Aemond began to approach the fireplace. He noticed the half-empty pitcher of wine, slightly shocked that you were partaking this late at night. Usually, you would reserve yourself to only enjoying wine at dinners or feasts, not in your marriage chambers. His eye flickered to the second chalice that sat empty on the silver platter. His slender fingers reached to grasp it, “Would this cup be for me?”
You turned your head, looking between the pitcher and chalice but never into his eye, “The maid brought it with her, probably as a formality. No one expected you back tonight.”
Aemond’s brow furrowed at the tone you spoke with, and it caught the prince off guard when you returned your gaze to the fire rather than continuing to speak with him. He poured his own chalice with wine and allowed himself to enjoy it. He stayed in place, unwavering from his position as he looked down on you.
The air went still… the taste of the wine began to sour in his mouth. He sensed something to be out of place, yet he could not pinpoint it. Usually, you would be elated to see him, but recently you were far more reserved from your husband. Aemond was not sure if he should be upset or concerned, but did not ponder on the thought too much as he allowed himself to attend to his duties rather than his wife.
With a sigh and a light cough to clear his throat, the prince finally spoke once more, “Come to bed…”
The pause settled again before your soft chuckle hung in the air. Quickly, you stood from your seated position and drowned the remainder of your chalice in one swig. You moved to the table and refilled your cup till the pitcher ran dry. Instead of crossing to your bed, you remained standing, only turned away from the man. This behavior caused Aemond to clench his jaw, subduing his urge to correct such disobedience.
“Will you not come to bed with me?” Aemond summoned you again.
Once more you chuckled at him, not sparing him any sort of look from you. Just the cruel chuckle of your acknowledgment.
“Your husband demands—”
“My husband demands me of nothing,” You interrupted him, “And he would do well to find another bed to sleep in or find himself in tonight.”
At your words, Aemond crossed toward you, attempting to snatch the half-drunk chalice of wine from your hands, “It seems you have overindulged yourself. It would do you well to sleep before—”
“Before what? Before I continue to act out of turn?” With a fierce determination, your fingers clutched down onto the chalice so that Aemond could not separate it from you. Your words dripped with poison, “Or before you return to Harrenhal and bed the whore witch?”
At the mention of Alys, both you and Aemond let go of the goblet at the same time and simply watched it fall to the ground, red liquid covering the tile floors.
“It would do you well not to speak of things you do not know or understand.”
“I understand it quite plainly that my husband is now an adulterer, just like his eldest brother and his damned uncle. It seems that disloyalty to marriage is quite a common trait among Targaryen men.”
Quickly, Aemond’s hand came to your throat, gripping the flesh to show how serious he was being, yet not hard enough to asphyxiate you, “Did you not understand my words before, my stupid little wife? It would do you well not to speak of things you do not know…”
“Oh? But I do know…” Your hands grabbed at his forearms, nails sinking into the flesh so that he would release you, “And it would do you well to learn just how smart your wife is…”
“I have known… I have known about Alys since your first rampage through the Riverlands. For moons, I remained confined to the Red Keep from your orders, and when they came to deliver news of you and your victories, I cheered. I still cheered when the maids told me the rumors between you and Alys, because I was grateful to the Seven that you were alive. Because I was still foolish enough to love you far more than you deserve.”
Tears threatened to spill over, but you swallowed them back. You would not allow Aemond the pleasure of your tears, only the fire of your anger.
“She promised me security for my life and the lives of my men,” Aemond attempted to justify himself, “I could not risk it—”
“You could have offered her gold, offered her a title, or anything else besides your body! Instead, you break your vows. And you did not stop there, because you continue to fly back to Harrenhal whenever you desire the witch’s cunt to the point where your son and daughter could not even recognize you if they ever saw you!” You huffed out, scanning his face for any sign of emotion, anything at all.
“You have allowed your lust to overcome you, disappointing your wife, your mother, and the Seven. Worst of all, you shall now have your own bastard. At least this bastard will not be raised of the Street of Silk as your brother’s bastards have.”
“How did you know?” Aemond’s voice cracked while he asked the question, “How do you know she is pregnant?”
A smirk played on your lips at the question, “It seems that the Master of Whispers is a very devoted friend of the Queen, and with the Queen being your mother, she deemed it important enough to share the news with me, your faithful wife.”
His face went pale at the realization of how many people were aware of his infidelity. While Aemond remained silent, you twisted the knife deeper into his chest. You had been tortured with this knowledge for so long that you now enjoyed the pained expression on his face.
“I have always been good to you, devoted to you. Where others cowered from you, I loved you. Despite the warnings of your blood lust and deformity, I loved you and gave you two perfect children who study just as diligently as you once did. So while you found yourself in the arms of another woman, I tried not to curse your name and assure our children that all was well, even if their father would not be present for them. But now, I look at you like a curse upon my life. You have allowed yourself to be corrupted outside our marriage, and I can no longer offer you salvation for your selfishness…”
“What would you have me do?”
You laughed mockingly at his question. Instead of providing a proper answer, you only glared further into his good eye.
“Please,” Aemond gritted his teeth, hating that he allowed himself to beg an answer from you, “Just tell me what I should do!”
“I can not simply tell you what to do. That would be to easy - what lesson would you have learned?” You shook your head and a shuddering breath escaped you.
“You have to make a choice, Aemond,” Your hand gripped his wrist, forcing him to remain attentive to your words, “Either you atone for the sin your committed and the hurt you’ve caused or you reside in Harrenhal for the rest of your days…”
“This is a choice only you can make — a wife or a witch?”

Unfair
Summary: After an incident between Baelon and Aelor you ask Aemond to talk to Baelon.
I'm glad I finally finished writing this and sharing it with all of you. I hope you like it 🥰🥰
comments, reblogs, likes are always greatly appreciated 💖💖
This is part of the "The Queen and Her Husbands" universe, if you haven't read it before I'm going to make a couple of clarifications: Reader is married to Aemond and Aegon; Baelon and Aemon are the twin sons of Reader and Aemond; Aelor is Aemond's bastard son with Alys Rivers; Daeron is the son of Reader and Aegon; Jaehaera is still alive just like the dragons; people refer to Aegon (Rhaenyra's son) as Egg.
Disclaimer: English is not my mother tongue so I apologize for any mistakes.
It was not normal to see the Hand of the King running through the halls unless he was following his children or playing with them. Aemond was running for his children again, but this time because one of them had gotten hurt. One of the servants told him that there was a fight in the courtyard between the children. Aemond didn't even bother to finish listening to the woman when he ran out.
He hurried into your shared chambers. Aelor sat while the maester daubed his cheek with ointment. You found yourself holding your son's hand looking at him with pure concern while your other hand was on your stomach. Aegon was behind you, his hands caressing your back trying to bring you comfort.
"I'm fine. It doesn't hurt" Aelor said trying to reassure everyone but every time the maester touched the wound he made a face and couldn't help but squeeze your hand.
"What happened?" Aemond asked going to his son's side. He couldn't see the wound because it was covered by the ointment but from the way the ointment was on he could tell it wasn't a small cut.
"He didn't need stitches. The maester says there's a chance he doesn't have a scar" you announced making your first husband frown because you weren't telling him what he wanted to know. He was still relieved to learn that the wound wasn't bad enough to need stitches. He still remembered the pain he had to endure while the maester stitched him up after losing his eye. He didn't want his son to suffer the same pain.
"My prince, try not to get your face dirty or touch your wound these days," said the master once he finished smearing the ointment and began to pick up his medicines from the table "Tomorrow I'll put more on it" he warned as he got up.
"Thank you for your services, maester," you said and the old man nodded before leaving the room.
"What happened?" the one-eyed prince asked again, caressing the brown curls of his son. Aelor shrank back in his chair. Not because he was uncomfortable or disgusted by his father's show of affection but because he was too embarrassed to tell him what happened in the courtyard.
"Ser Fell made Aelor and Baelon fight. They were having a good fight" Aegon said, the truth was that the fight wasn't long and it was evident that Baelon had more experience but knowing that Aelor was embarrassed and always wanted to impress Aemond he decided to lie for his nephew. "Until Baelon brought him down"
"And Aelor surrendered" you continued the story. The boy looked at his feet without daring to see his father's reaction. He was a Targaryen, he should have stood up and fought but he gave up fast. "Even so, Baelon continued to attack him" Your voice was calm but your anger didn't go unnoticed by any of your husbands.
"It was an accident. He didn't listen to me" Aelor lied, always loyal to his brothers and not wanting them to get in trouble because of him. He had angered Baelon by stealing Shrykos from him.
"It wasn't an accident," both you and Aegon said determinedly. It was impossible not to have heard Aelor's screams saying that he was giving up. You will never forget the terror in your son's eyes. Worst of all, the cause of that fear was your other son. If it weren't for Aegon acting fast and holding Baelon from behind, you were sure Aelor's injuries would be worse. For a moment you panicked, imagining Aelor without one eye. What would you do? What would Aemond do? You would have to impose justice. Could you punish Baelon? You never wanted to be in that situation with any of your children.
You rubbed your stomach nervously. If this pregnancy ended well, you wanted more than anything that by the time the baby was born all her siblings would get along.
"Aemond, you must talk to Baelon" you request feeling overwhelmed by the situation. This pregnancy already had you worried. Not only that, but you also had to keep an eye on the lords and solve any problem they had in addition to raising your children.
It wasn't the first time that there was a problem with Baelon, you had already reprimanded him on more than one occasion for his deal with Aelor but he didn't seem to listen. You hoped that Aemond could do something. You had the feeling that Baelon's attitude was due to jealousy for not having a dragon. Aemond would understand him better than you, and he would know what to say to him to come to his senses.
"Of course, I'll go look for him in a minute," your husband assured, continuing to caress the boy's curls. "Are you sure you're okay?" She asked, looking at him carefully for any other injuries.
"Yes, Kepa. I am strong, this is nothing" declared Aelor, wanting to show courage in front of him.
Aemond smiled at him and kissed his forehead. "Good. Why don't you and your uncle go to the kitchens for raspberry pies?"
Aelor's eyes sparkled with excitement as she heard her favorite candy "Can I have two?"
"Well you earned it"
"Thank you Kepa!" the boy said before quickly dragging his uncle out in case his father suddenly changed her mind.
You and Aemond both smiled at Aelor's excitement. You two always wanted to see their son happy. They both missed how carefree he was before learning of his origin. Ever since Aelor found out he was a bastard now he seemed more withdrawn. He didn't like to attract attention.
"How are you?" your husband asked, approaching you and looking at you with concern. The last thing he wanted was for you to be stressed in your state. He was afraid that you would have another loss. The memory of your last pregnancy still haunted him. He didn't want to see you go through that pain again.
You took Aemond's hand and placed it on your stomach so he could feel the baby kick "The baby is fine but I'll be fine when you talk to Baelon."
"I will, I just wanted to make sure first that Aelor and you are okay," he said as he caressed your stomach feeling a little calmer when he felt the baby.
"Aemond, this can't happen again" You started to get frustrated because he didn't seem to be losing his mind like you.
"It won't happen" your husband promised but still you weren't calm. You couldn't let something like Driftmark happen. If Aemond couldn't bring Baelon to his senses then no one else in the castle could.
"I can write to Cregan Stark, I'm sure he will have no problem accepting Baelon as a pupil"
You instantly noticed how happiness disappeared from your husband's face and how he became tense. You hated being the cause of his unhappiness but you knew it was the right choice. The North would make a good man out of Baelon. You trusted that Cregan Stark wouldn't treat him differently for being a prince and he would take care not to spoil him. Baelon in the North couldn't do what he wanted, he would have to learn to respect his customs and follow his rules. Cregan could teach him that dragons weren't the only important thing in this life.
“It was just an idea to keep in mind. Please, don't be mad at me” you said caressing his face.
•••••
Baelon watched out the window as Aemon and Jaehaera flew on their dragons when he heard the door open. He turned and instantly straightened when he saw his father walk in.
He didn't expect it, he thought that his father would be comforting Aelor and it would be you who would come to scold him. A part of him was relieved to see that he was wrong. He hated to disappoint you two but his father's look didn't have the same effect as yours. He could never bear to look into your eyes for long when you scolded him because the disappointment in your eyes always made him uncomfortable.
Baelon moved, leaving more space for his father to sit next to him, but he didn't say anything. His attention returned to the dragons as he saw his twin dragon pass by, closer to the window. Daeron, his younger brother, waved at them with one hand while the other clung to Aemon's waist. If Baelon had had something within arm's reach he would have thrown it at him. It was not fair. Daeron had a dragon but he still flew as his family's companion instead of flying himself because their parents say he was still too young to have his first flight. Daeron didn't deserve a dragon. If Baelon had a dragon, he wouldn't mind their parents' prohibition, he'd still get on and fly. He would show how brave he is and he would be the best rider. They could never bring it down from the skies.
"And? Would you tell me what happened?" Asked his father making him come back to reality.
"You know what happened" Baelon grumbled looking at him with annoyance. It seemed silly to him that his father asked him to tell her about his outburst in the courtyard when it was obvious that he had already found out from his mother. He preferred that they punish him once and for all and leave him alone.
"But I want to hear it from you," Aemond said, hugging his son by the shoulders. "I want to understand what made you act like that. I know you know what you did was wrong."
His father's words only made the boy more angry.
“I didn't do anything wrong!” He instantly denied it and angrily pulled his father's arm away from him not wanting his touch. "I only made Aelor pay for stealing Shrykos from me!" he balled his hands into fists and stared at the floor.
Aemond really shouldn't be surprised that the reason for his son's attitude had to do with dragons. But he couldn't help but be disappointed at Baelon's words. It was impossible for him not to be reminded of Baela's and Rhaena's accusations that he stole Vhagar. A dragon could not be stolen. Everyone knew that the dragon chose its rider from him. He understood the pain of his son in the absence of a dragon. He understood the yearning for wanting to have his connection. He understood it better than anyone.
"Baelon, you know that a dragon chooses its rider"
The boy knew that his father was right. He wasn't stupid, he had paid attention to his lessons but he was so angry because he wasn't fair. It was the second time a dragon had rejected him. Dreamfyre seemed ready to unleash her flames until suddenly his uncle's Egg stood in front of him as he desperately shouted commands in Valyrian and pushed him to the side. Baelon burst into tears thinking his uncle would burn to death because of him, but Dreamfyre didn't do him any harm. Baelon was relieved that his uncle was still alive but another part of him wanted to scream at the injustice of him getting a dragon when everyone knew he loathed them. He tried to justify rejecting Dreamfyre by telling himself that his personality was too overwhelming for that dragon, his previous rider had been his Aunt Helaena and people said that she was too calm, and his Uncle Egg's personality was more in line with Dreamfyre.
Dreamfyre's rejection hurt him but Shrykos's was worse. Aelor was a bastard. He shouldn't have a dragon. Why would Shrykos choose Aelor over him? He has true Valyrian blood. It didn't make sense…Unless there was something wrong with him.
“Shrykos should be mine, I have the pure blood of Valyria. Aelor is a bastard and I hate him!” he declared with a red face.
"Baelon!" Aemond grabbed his shoulder and turned to face him. It wasn't the first time Baelon had heard his father so furious but he had never been the recipient of his fury. “I don't want to hear you call Aelor that way again. He is your brother, he is your family." His father's hand wasn't squeezing him but Baelon had never felt it so heavy. “We are family and as a family, we defend each other. We didn't attack each other,” he reminded him, and Baelon nodded, a lump in his throat.
"I don't hate Aelor" he admitted in a muttered voice cracking "But it's not fair that he has Shrykos, he didn't even want to go claim it! Uncle Egg didn't want a dragon either and Dreamfyre still chose him! Why can they have a dragon and I can't? What's wrong with me?" Baelon started to cry and Aemond didn't take long to hug him, feeling how his heart ached when he heard the anguish of his son.
“Baelon, there is nothing wrong with you. The only reason you don't have a dragon yet is because the one destined for you hasn't been born yet. They say your mother's dragon will soon have another litter of eggs.” Aemond declared, wiping away the boy's tears. “You'll have a dragon one day, I promise. I understand better than anyone that waiting is hard, but you have to be patient and you don't have to get mad at your siblings just for having what you want. It's not their fault that you don't have a dragon yet."
"I know," Baelon muttered, embarrassed by his attitude. "I'll go apologize to Aelor," he announced, getting down from the window ledge.
"Good. Your brother could still be in the kitchens with your uncle Aegon."
Aemond watched as his son left the room and prayed that Baelon's good attitude would last, that his son had truly reconsidered because he feared that if Baelon purposely hurt another of his brothers again you would not hesitate to send him to the North.

A Targaryen prince is a heavy burden pt4
atpiahb masterlist, part1, part2, part3, part4, part5
main masterlist
pairing: Aemond Targaryen x wife!reader, Aegon II Targaryen x reader
words: 5.212
summary: right after part 3
warning: 18+, smut, explicit language, love triangle, cheating
a/n: English is not my native language. / I apologize for taking so long for the new chapter. I don't have much time to write right now. / I am not very experienced in writing smut.
With nowhere and no one to go in the castle, y/n found herself back in front of the same room.
Her husband's brother's room.
For several minutes she reached for the doorknob and pulled it back. Several times she thought of making a fist and knocking on the door, but she stopped.
She could have gone back to her room. She could have curled up next to her husband and fallen asleep without saying a word, as she had for weeks.
But she didn't want to go back. She didn't want to see Aemond's face or even feel his presence.
She would prefer to curl up on the doorstep and sleep right there.
She started to walk back and forth in front of the door, as she had done a few other times.
What could she lose?
She could lose so much.
Ever since she had married, she had always come to Prince Aegon's room. They would chat and laugh, and then she would go to her chambers.
But this time, she knew something was different. She could feel it in every cell of her body.
y/n took a deep breath and calmed herself. She was about to clench her hand into a fist again and knock on the door when it opened.
Aegon looked at her with surprised eyes. "Lady y/n?"
"Hello," she said. "Were you going out? I won't disturb you," she said and immediately stepped backward.
Aegon answered immediately. He didn't want her to leave. "No, I wasn't. I noticed someone standing outside my door for about fifteen minutes, and I thought that person came to kill me," he said, trying to break the tense atmosphere.
y/n smiled. "I don't think someone who comes to kill you would linger that long."
Aegon smiled too, and they stood awkwardly at the door.
Aegon glanced over her shoulder at the window in the hallway.
The night was dark, and the stars were shining. The moon was leaving the beauty of the stars behind. But y/n outshone them all. The only sight he wanted to watch was the woman standing with him.
y/n looked around the room as much as Aegon's body would allow her to see.
His bed was as unmade as ever, but his room looked tidy.
"Is something wrong?" he asked finally.
"No. I guess. I just wondered how you were," y/n said, speaking without thinking. Why would someone knock on someone's door in the middle of the night to find out how they are?
"I'm fine."
He brought his eyes to the girl who stubbornly avoided his gaze. "Are you all right?"
"I guess I am."
"That's not a good enough answer, y/n."
She sighed. "Aemond is hiding something. And he is not telling me what it is. He makes me so uneasy all the time."
"I see," he said shortly. He hated talking about Aemond with her. y/n's naivety aside, her brother's constant uncertainty drove him crazy.
Whenever the subject of Aemond came up when they were together, he tried to shut it down as quickly as possible. He knew y/n had no one to talk to and wanted to talk about Aemond, but he had always chosen to be selfish about it.
"Do you want to come in? Let's not stand here." Please come in, he thought.
y/n nodded and followed Aegon into the room.
She closed the door and locked it. Aegon was making his bed when the lock clicked. He looked at her with curious eyes.
"It would not be right for one of your maids to see me here. I cannot bear another rumor."
Aegon nodded and went back to smoothing the covers of his bed.
y/n took off her robe and threw it on the armchair.
She walked to the window, picking up a random book from the table she passed.
Aegon felt his heart almost stop as he saw the leather-bound notebook in her hand. He threw the pillow haphazardly on the bed and ran towards her.
y/n didn't let him have the book and tightened her fingers around it.
"What is the book about, Aegon? What kind of books does our prince read?"
Aegon smiled nervously. "That's the point. What you are holding in your hands is not a book."
"Oh, I see. You give me more reason not to give it to you."
It would not have been pleasant for her to read the notebook in which he had written down every thought about her and how he desired her.
Aegon had even tried to write poetry a few times, but as he expected, it had failed.
y/n was like that. She made him want to write poetry for her.
He wanted to put everything about her into lines of poems.
"y/n, please," he said.
y/n grinned. She wasn't going to look in the notebook anyway. But she liked teasing Aegon.
"Do you draw, too?"
'Do you draw too?' Aemond was drawing? he thought.
Aegon shook his head and reached for the notebook, wrapping his fingers around hers.
"Your diary then? Your brothel diary?"
Aegon squeezed her fingers tighter. "No, and no. Will you give it to me now?"
y/n gave in and let Aegon take the notebook.
She could have teased him for hours, but the feel of his hands on hers sent butterflies in her stomach that she hadn't felt in months.
She let herself sink into one of the armchairs. "What is the brothel like? As you know, I have no one to ask, but I've always wondered."
Aegon's lips formed a straight line. "It's not that fancy. Think of it as a place full of people pretending to be in love with you because you're a prince and you have money," he said and sat down next to her, putting the notebook away from her. He put his feet up on the table in front of the armchair.
y/n found Aegon's sadness funny. She'd never seen anyone upset about going to a brothel.
"Oh, my poor prince. Does it upset you when they pretend to be in love with you?"
'My prince.' Aegon's heart raced. He felt like a fool. How could a word she had used so casually have made such an impression on him?
"Don't joke, y/n. It even affects my performance," he said and laughed under his breath.
She laughed too. "You poor thing. I'm sure one of them must have fallen in love with your silver locks. Or your smile, your sense of humor, and violet eyes that scream that you come from far away."
y/n gasped as she realized what she had said, and Aegon swallowed hard, blushing slightly at how quickly she had listed his likable qualities.
"Maybe I should go back to my chambers."
Aegon raised his eyes to her lips. "Why would you go?"
y/n pulled her head back nervously. "Why? I have to stay away from my husband's brother. They're right."
Aegon looked away. For her, he would always be her husband's brother.
He was not Prince Aegon to her, not Crown Prince Aegon, not even her friend Aegon.
He was always her husband's brother.
"The same goes for your husband, doesn't it?"
y/n put her hand on Aegon's shoulder. "I suppose so."
She took his chin in her other hand and turned his face to hers. They both looked at each other's lips.
"y/n, if we do anything now, I will regret it for the rest of my life. And so will you." He wouldn't regret it, but her regret would ruin him.
"No, I won't regret it."
Aegon released his chin from her grasp and gently removed his hand from her shoulder.
"Tell me something," she said.
"I like spending time with you."
y/n kept looking at his lips. "I like spending time with you, too."
Aegon spoke, not caring how inappropriate his words might be. "I think your parents married you off to the wrong brother. My father was hungry for your family's support, and I'm sure he would have agreed to marry you off to his heir. And your parents would have been happier with their arrangement."
y/n averted her eyes. "If I had married you, would things have been the way they are now? Perhaps you are drawn to me because I am forbidden. If we were married, would you stop going to brothels? Would you carry me around as your wife and not even look at me in our chambers?"
Aegon's eyes widened in astonishment. "You're not aware of anything."
y/n became angry. "I know nothing. And no one is willing to tell me anything. If the only problem is that I'm not aware of things, why don't you enlighten me?" she asked in an angry, mocking tone.
"If I could, I would have told you by now."
"Aegon! I hate you and your brother. You're both so stupid!"
Aegon laughed. "It may be the only thing we have in common."
y/n didn't laugh, and she kept her angry stare.
Aegon made a foolish suggestion to deflect and relieve the tension. "How about I take you to the brothel one day?"
"I don't know which Westeros you live in, but in the Westeros, I live in, a lady going to a brothel is frowned upon."
Aegon smiled. He threw his head back and leaned back against the seat. "I thought 'fuck people' was our way of life."
y/n squinted at him. "To dishonor Aemond? Yes. To go to a brothel? No. I can't even leave the castle."
Aegon straightened up in his seat and lowered his legs from the table. His face lit up at the idea coming into his mind. "How about I get you out of the castle?"
y/n looked at him curiously. "Where would we go?"
"We'll go to the city! Trust me, I can give you the happiest day of your life!"
The girl looked around, unsure. "But what if someone sees us?"
"We'll disguise ourselves! We'll hide under cloaks. I'm sure nothing will happen."
"I don't think a cloak will be enough to hide you. I'm sure the small folk and your buddies from Flea Bottom will recognize you anyway."
Aegon laughed. "Dear y/n, I don't hide behind clothes when I'm going into the city, so no one can think I'm the one hiding."
y/n covered her face with her hands. "I wish I had been born a Targaryen prince. No matter how immoral you behave, no one seems to mind."
Aegon stood up. "Believe me, everyone minds. I've just learned to close my ears to them."
He held out his hand to her. "Are you coming?"
"Right now? Today?"
"It couldn't be a better day, y/n. You're away from your clingy husband, and if he hasn't come looking for you by now, he won't come looking for you now."
"Fine," she said, unsure. "But if anyone sees us, I'll tell them you kidnapped me and forced me out of the castle."
Aegon laughed. "Fair enough."
y/n took Aegon's hand and stood up. Aegon pulled her gently towards him.
She put her other hand on his chest. "Aegon..."
"y/n."
She kept her head down and hid her gaze, but Aegon held her chin with his index and thumb and lifted her head.
y/n looked up at him with a warm look in her eyes.
Aegon began stroking her chin with his thumb.
"You... You are everything."
She took a deep breath. "Aegon..." she said prayerfully. y/n wanted to say his name over and over. She wanted his name to be the only word that left her lips. May the gods forgive her that she could readily put him in their place.
They stood so close together. The only barrier between them was their clasped hands. Aegon held her hand so tightly that he would never let go again.
y/n lowered her eyes to his lips.
Aegon brought his hand from her chin to the side of her head and brought her face closer to his.
"If I kiss you, will you regret it?"
y/n felt her ears grow hot, her face aflame. "Would you regret it?"
"Never," Aegon said instantly.
y/n felt her eyelashes heavy with desire. But the excitement Aegon felt was beyond his desires.
The fact that he was so close to y/n and knowing she desired him was above everything else.
"What are you waiting for?" asked y/n, wanting to feel his lips on hers.
"Your consent."
y/n thought. She had always known this day would come.
Everyone knew. Aegon knew. Aemond knew. That's why he had always been so impulsive with Aegon. That's why he hated her spending time with him.
"Please... Please do something," she said. She was desperate for the slightest interaction.
Aegon looked at her face one last time before he leaned down to her lips.
Her soft lips felt so good against his own. They were smoother and fuller than his.
y/n parted her lips and let Aegon take control. Aegon started kissing her like a starving man.
He dipped his hand into her hair. y/n felt her knees weaken as his fingers began to stroke her head.
y/n squeezed her hand on Aegon's torso and took the fabric of his shirt in her fist.
Slowly Aegon broke their kiss and placed one last kiss on her lips before pulling his head back.
Their hands were still locked together. Aegon had wrapped his other hand around her arm.
They smiled at each other.
"I think we'll have to put off going into the city for another time."
Aegon chuckled. "If that is what you wish, my lady."
There was a brief moment of awkwardness between them, and they stood in silence, looking at each other.
y/n rose on her tiptoes and kissed Aegon again. This time both of her hands clasped behind his neck.
Aegon slowly reached behind her nightgown and began to unbutton it.
When he had undone the last button, the one in the center of her back, he pulled his head back again.
"Are you sure?"
y/n nodded and pressed her lips to his again.
Aegon took her by the arms and pulled her to the front of the bed without breaking their kiss.
He started pulling down her nightgown and withdrew.
y/n shivered when he pulled the nightgown down enough to expose her collarbones.
He pulled down even more to expose the tops of her breasts and finally lowered the nightgown to her stomach.
He began to watch her body intently.
y/n felt herself blushing under Aegon's heavy gaze.
"You are so beautiful."
y/n smiled shyly.
He then helped her to remove her nightgown. y/n grabbed his outstretched arm and got rid of it.
She wasted no time in unbuttoning his shirt and taking it off.
His torso wasn't as muscular as Aemond's. He didn't train as much as he did. And because of the alcohol he drank, his stomach was flat, and he even had a little belly.
His shoulders were as broad as Aemond's. His arms were shadowed, with just enough muscle to make him look strong.
She ran her hands down his arms.
Aegon watched y/n's reactions without blinking, watched her watch his body, watched her run her hands over his body.
When she reached for the button on his pants, Aegon pushed her back slightly, making her lie on the bed.
He climbed on top of her and propped himself up on his elbows.
When they put their lips together again, he balanced himself on one arm and moved his other hand around her body.
Aegon didn't want to leave a single place untouched, unkissed. He ran his hand over y/n's breasts and then placed his hand on the curve of her waist.
He lowered his lips to her neck and began to leave wet kisses.
y/n was on the verge of losing her mind. She could feel the intensity of emotion and desire in his kisses.
He moved his hand from her waist to her breast and squeezed it, causing y/n to moan.
Then he moved his lips from her neck to her collarbones. Aegon wanted to leave a trace of himself on her neck and shoulders, everywhere he could reach.
He sucked her skin until it was red. But he also left her little kisses that screamed "I love you."
Without lingering any longer, he came to her breasts.
y/n's breathing was getting faster and faster. She let out little whimpers that drove Aegon crazy.
When Aegon's lips met her right nipple, she arched her back. Aegon smiled at her reaction.
He started rolling her nipple with one hand. And he brought his lips further down her body.
y/n felt every part of her burn where Aegon's hand had touched her. She wanted more. She craved more.
Aegon slowly moved down as he left open-mouthed kisses on her stomach.
As he settled between her thighs, y/n did something she would never have done so straightforwardly if she hadn't felt that much pleasure: she spread her legs further apart for the man between her thighs.
He ran his fingers over her slit several times. Aegon parted her folds with his fingers and dropped a kiss on her clit.
"Aegon." she moaned his name.
Aegon felt himself getting harder in his pants as if that were possible.
He wrapped his lips around her clit and began to suck slowly.
"Aegon," she moaned again, her voice breathless.
y/n realized that if he kept doing this, she would reach her climax soon. She grabbed his head and lifted it. She wanted to cum with him.
y/n felt herself blushing even more now that their eyes met. Aegon looked at the pink and soon-to-be purple marks left behind as he looked up at her, and he couldn't hide his smile.
"Aegon, please don't linger."
"I'm not lingering, y/n. I'm trying to make you feel good."
y/n smiled. "I know. But all I want is to feel you inside me."
If Aegon hadn't stopped himself, he would have almost moaned.
He got up from the bed and untied his pants. He quickly took it off. Then he didn't hesitate to pull down his underwear.
y/n gasped at the sight. He was thick and long. The head of his cock was red and seemed to be throbbing.
She sat on the bed and moved closer to Aegon.
She ran her fingers up and down his cock.
She squeezed her thighs, wanting to wrap her lips around his cock and run her tongue over the vein at the base.
y/n ran her thumb over the tip of his cock, and Aegon grabbed one of the bedposts and closed his eyes tightly.
"If you keep this up, I'm going to cum."
She giggled. "Would that be so bad?"
Aegon opened his eyes and looked at the girl sitting on his bed. "If I have other plans for it, yes."
y/n sat up on her knees and placed her hands on his shoulders. "What plans?"
"I can cum inside you, for example."
She pretended to think. "Or in my mouth."
Aegon took another deep breath. "Another time, I promise."
She grinned. "Another time... So you want to keep it going?"
Aegon pressed a kiss to her lips. "As long as you want to."
y/n pressed their lips together and pulled him to her.
They found themselves in the same position on the bed again.
Aegon moved his index finger to her entrance. He stroked it a few times and carefully began to push his finger in.
y/n closed her eyes at the slight pressure of his finger at her entrance and waited for him to put his finger completely.
She had never felt anything like Aegon's finger, even though she had fingered and imagined herself in this situation whenever she could.
It was something else between them, not obligation, not duty. It was pure pleasure.
Aegon moved his finger a few more times, then withdrew it and quickly sucked on it.
"I can't believe you didn't let me."
"Another time, I promise."
Aegon chuckled. "Remember your promise."
She nodded and watched Aegon's movements. He pumped his cock several times and spread his precum over his cock.
y/n bit her lip at the sight of him.
Aegon raised his head and looked at her. "You're ready. Are you sure you want to do it?"
She nodded. "Yes, I do. I want you, Aegon."
Aegon stroked the inside of her thigh with his left hand.
She moaned as the tip of his cock entered her. Aegon waited a moment for her to adjust, but y/n was impatient.
She didn't want it to be slow or gentle. There was no point in being slow if the desire that burned them both was coming true.
y/n lifted her head from the pillow. "Aegon, please..."
Just saying his name was enough to make him do anything she wanted.
He carefully pushed the rest of his cock.
Then he started to move back and forth. And he leaned over y/n's face.
They were both moaning into each other's mouths, their breaths mingled together.
Aegon wrapped one of her legs around his waist for a better angle and squeezed it.
y/n could no longer keep her eyes open and closed them tightly.
She wanted to look into Aegon's eyes. But she couldn't find the strength to keep them open.
Aegon watched her face intently to not to miss any of her gestures.
He watched as she frowned with pleasure and kept her mouth slightly open.
Sometimes she ran her hands along his arms. Sometimes she held the sheet tightly and wrapped her legs tighter around him.
Then Aegon felt embarrassed by the pressure in his stomach. He couldn't remember ever reaching his climax so fast. Even in his first time, it took longer.
"y/n. I'm close."
y/n opened her eyes slightly and looked up at him. "I'm close too," she said, barely speaking.
Aegon quickened his moves and brought his hand from her leg to between their bodies, and began to draw circles on her clit. "Come with me."
The three-word command was enough to make y/n cum instantly.
Aegon came right after her. He slowly pulled out of her, thinking she might be sensitive.
He threw himself onto the bed next to her. Their breasts rose and fell rapidly.
y/n turned towards Aegon and placed a hand on his chest.
Her hand was right over his heart, and she could feel how fast his heart was beating.
At that point, even Aegon didn't know whether his heart was beating so fast because he had just come or because he was so excited to have y/n with him.
He put his free arm around her and turned her towards him. Then he hugged her tightly.
Now she was lying on his chest. He stroked her back with his hands as he wrapped his arms around her.
"My y/n."
y/n closed her eyes. She let herself relax to the sound of his heartbeat.
"What do we do now?" she asked in a sleepy voice.
"We're going to sleep and not worry about tomorrow."
y/n nodded and fell asleep in his arms.
Aegon couldn't fall asleep for a long time. He buried his nose in her hair and took deep breaths, trying to savor the moment. Once he was sure she was asleep, he murmured I love you many times.
Tomorrow's problem was going to be solved tomorrow.
He surrendered himself to sleep like the woman he loved lying in his arms.
xxx
A quick knock on the door woke them both with a start.
"Come back later," Aegon said, thinking it was a maid.
As y/n settled back into his arms, another knock was on the door.
"Aegon, open the fucking door!"
Aegon jumped at the familiar voice. They both looked at each other in horror.
"Wait a minute!"
Aegon quickly changed into yesterday's clothes and found y/n's nightgown on the floor. He threw it at her. She slipped it on and sat on the bed, looking at him with fearful eyes.
"What are we going to do?"
Aemond knocked on the door again as Aegon paced quickly around the room. "Come on!"
Aegon leaned towards y/n and whispered. "I'll send him away, okay? Just keep quiet."
She nodded, but her worries were not gone. Aegon placed a kiss on her lips and got up from the bed.
He turned around to see if she was visible through the door. y/n hid behind the curtains around the bed.
Aegon opened the door just enough to see his brother's face.
"What is it?"
Aemond snorted. "y/n left last night and never came back."
Aegon felt his heart race with fear. "What does this have to do with me?"
Aemond looked over Aegon's head into the room, but Aegon closed the door even further. "You are close, after all. I thought she might have come to you."
Aegon put his hand on the doorjamb, blocking him further from entering the room, but he knew he couldn't stop Aemond if he wanted to. "She's not here."
Aemond laughed, but he was angry. "I'd better check myself."
Aegon squeezed the doorjamb tighter. "Are you a fool, Aemond? Why would I lie?"
Aemond shoved Aegon in the chest. He took a few steps back, and Aemond rushed into the room.
After a brief look around, he made his way to the bed. Then one of y/n's maids burst into the room. "My prince?" she said to Aemond.
Aemond turned toward her. "What is it?"
"Prince Maelor has become restless. He is with the queen. Her grace wants you with them."
Aemond took a deep breath and looked at the bed one last time.
"How many times has my mother told you not to bring your whores to the castle, Aegon?"
Aegon's lips formed a thin line. "How many times have I listened to her?"
Aemond looked at him sternly and left the room.
The servant waited for the prince to leave the room and then went to Aegon. "A few people saw Lady y/n coming here. I came to warn her."
Aegon nodded. "Thank you."
y/n got out of bed. "Ava."
The maid bowed to her. "My lady. You can tell him you slept with me last night in the servants' quarters."
y/n smiled and nodded. "Thank you."
The maid smiled too. "I will wait for you in your chambers, my lady." she bowed and left.
y/n turned towards Aegon. "I'd better go and get dressed."
Aegon nodded and took her arm as she walked past him. "We can pretend it didn't happen if you like, y/n."
y/n took a deep breath. "I don't know, Aegon. I'll think about it," she said and left the room.
xxx
The queen's maids were looking for her. They had told her that the queen wanted to see her.
She got dressed in her chambers and went to the queen's chambers.
She sighed inside, but she was happy to see her son.
On the way to the queen's chambers, her mind drifted to Aegon, but she pushed him out of her mind.
When she came to the queen's chambers, the guard at her door bowed at her. "The queen is waiting for you, my lady," he said. And he opened the door for her to pass through.
When y/n walked through the door, Aemond caught her eye directly. He was sitting in the armchair ahead fireplace, watching the fire.
y/n realized that he was thinking about something.
Whenever Aemond was thoughtful, he would play with his fingers and nibble the inside of his cheek.
Without saying a word to anyone, she took her son from her mother-in-law, who was coming towards her. "Good morrow, y/n. How are you?"
y/n smiled as she rocked her son back and forth in her arms. "Good morrow, your grace. I'm doing fine. How are you?"
The queen smiled warmly at her and went to Aemond.
"Hello, Maelor," y/n whispered to her son.
Aemond gripped the arm of the chair and crossed his legs.
As always, hearing his wife's voice gave him butterflies.
The queen sat opposite him.
Aemond watched his wife and son in fascination.
He had already forgotten about their fight and that y/n had not returned to him at night. He wanted it to be night again, to fall asleep feeling y/n's warmth.
"What do you think of what happened at the small council? I don't know what to answer anymore," the queen said to her son.
Aemond's gaze was on his wife.
y/n was leaning over Maelor, smiling and whispering sweet things. Their son finally seemed to be asleep and at peace.
"I say let them have what they want. We've always condoned everything they've done for our alliance. It's just a marriage that has nothing to do with us. Is it?" The queen asked.
Aemond turned to his mother. "Of course," he said.
The queen was not satisfied with his answer. "Are you listening, Aemond?"
Aemond sighed and began to fiddle with the arm of the chair. "Isn't it going to be discussed in council tomorrow anyway? Let's not talk about affairs of state all the time."
His mother clasped her hands together. "Yes, it is going to be discussed tomorrow. But I want to be prepared. And I want to know what your opinion is."
Aemond laughed lightly. "It's all about Lord Lannister's arrogance.I don't care who he marries. Let him have his wedding at the Red Keep. You've already done everything he's ever wanted. What is different now?"
The queen sighed. "I'm not a fan of Lord Lannister either. But it's important to keep him on our side. He is Jason Lannister, lord of Casterly Rock."
Aemond nodded briefly and stood up. "y/n?"
y/n hugged her son tightly and looked up at her husband. "Yes, Aemond?"
Aemond walked over and took her arm gently. "Do you want to go back to our room?"
y/n nodded, tired and feeling uneasy.
"We're going to our chambers, mother. Let me know if there's anything else."
The queen smiled and nodded.
y/n bowed to the queen, but the queen stopped her as if she had remembered something. "Helaena said she would have tea with you today. Tea will be ready in her room in a few hours."
That they were going to have tea together was out of y/n's mind. "Yes, your grace. I will go to her chambers."
Together they left the room and walked silently down the long corridor. The queen's chambers were almost at the other end of the castle.
Aemond stayed behind y/n because of the thoughts in his head. y/n walked quickly without waiting for him.
When Aemond realized he was behind her, he quickly caught up with her. "y/n, I'm sorry for everything I've done."
"Let's talk about this later, okay?" said y/n calmly.
y/n was happy he was finally talking about this, but she felt tired.
And she didn't want to have this conversation with him right now in that crowd when the servants and the ladies who lived in the castle could hear them.
Aemond nodded and gently took y/n's arm as she led their sons to their chambers.

The arrangement the three of you had was taking some getting used to. The two brothers were trying their best to get along, for your sake of course.
"Who do you think the babe will look like more brother? Me or Y/n?" Aegon asks Aemond as he rubs a butter on your belly. Aemond told him that is supposed to help the skin while it is stretching, and said it helped you during the first two. Cocoa butter from Dorne he believes.
"The babe will look like Y/n the most no doubt, her Velaryon features have passed down both times so far," Aemond says, looking up briefly from the book he was reading.
"Even better."
"I hope they get your eyes." You place two fingers under Aegons chin so he looked you in the eyes.
"Hopefully that's the only thing they get." He says sadly and stops rubbing your belly.
"Aegon." You say sadly and he starts scooting away. "No stop." You grabbed his hand and tugged it towards you. "Why would you say that?"
"You know how I am."
"Was." You say. "You've changed in these last 5 months, became a better man, a better father." You pushed the hair out of his face, the hair that was starting to grow longer."I mean did you not see how much happier the twins and Maelor are with you spending time with them." You rested your hand on his cheek and kissed him deeply. It took Aegon a moment to kiss you back and melt into it. He grabbed your hips gently and brought you close to him.
"I love you," Aegon mumbled against your lips and rested his hand on your belly.
"Love you too." You smiled into the kiss and Aegon slowly made his way on top of you. You were interrupted by Aemond clearing his throat.
"Do you forget I am here?"
"You are welcome to join brother."
"Come, my love, we'll have fun." You say teasingly and even hold your hand out to him. Aemond just rolls his eye and shifts in his seat.
"It's getting late, I will see you in the morrow." He pecked your lips and bent down to kiss your belly. "And I will see you as well."
"Goodbye Aegon." You say and he shuffles off the bed.
"Goodnight brother."
"Hmm." Aegon leaves the room leaving you and Aemond in comfortable silence.
"My love come to bed with me."
"Why?" Aemond shuts his book closed and sets it to the side.
"So my husband can fuck me."
"Hmm, I can certainly do that."
-
You woke up to the sun barely peeking through the curtains. Aemonds arm was heavy on your chest. You turned to face him, he always looks so peaceful in his sleep so delicious. You gently lifted his arm up and set it on his side.
"Aemond." You whispered but he didn't stir, his bare chest rising with every breath. You shuffled until you were on your knees, then dragged the blanket off of Aemond completely. His cock was limp and resting on his hip, only semi-hard. You swung a leg over his hips and sat back on his thighs. You grabbed his cock and he instantly bucked his hips, as well as his face twisting at the feeling of cold fingers.
You let spit fall from your mouth and land right on the length. You started jerking him off roughly, letting your thumb swipe over the tip. A white sticky substance started leaking from the tip, slowly starting to ooze down.
Aemond started stirring as he felt his body heat up. He opened his eye and was shocked to see his wife sitting on his thighs and jerking him off.
"Could you not have waited until I woke up?" His voice was deep and groggy, it made you jump.
"Wanted to surprise you." You let his cock go and it stood straight up.
"I'm surprised." Aemond brought an arm under his head and flexed the arm. You shuffled up a bit and went onto your knees, just above his cock. Aemond was ready for you to sink down on his cock but you didn't. You sat on it, making it press against his stomach and your folds cover its sides. "Fuck." You started moving up and down, gliding your pussy over his cock. There was a wet squelching noise coming after every movement. Aemonds eye was fixed on your midsections, his tip was leaking heavily now.
"This feels so good." You rested your hands on his chest. His tip kept pushing against the hood of your clit.
"Gevie put it in," Aemond begged and arched he the. brought his arm from behind him and rested them on your hips, sliding them up and down more.
"No, I like this." You started going faster and he couldn't help but thrust his cock against you, just like he does when he fucks you from the bottom. The outer edges of his tip kept prodding your hole, it made you wetter. Your breathing got harder and dug your fingertips into his chest. Aemond winced slightly and looked down again to see his cock red and angry.
"Fuck this." He sat up and wrapped his arms around you to flip your over, having your head hanging off the bed and placing your legs over his shoulders. He slid back in and leaned forward, only gently pushing your thighs against your body. He started plowing into you, his hair was loose and sticking to his face and he wasn't wearing his patch. The sun was shining bright now and it reflected against the gem.
"Tolī(More)."
"Mirrors syt ao(Anything for you)." Aemond kissed you deeply and groaned deeply at the feeling of your cunt tightening around him.
"Hae bāne hae se lanta hen ao issi naejot urnēbagon, kostagon nyke join?(As hot as the two of you are to watch, can I join)?" It was the most butchered High Valyrian you've ever heard but it made you almost scream, you then wrapped your arms around Aemond to pull yourself up.
"Aōha valyrīha iksos terrible, lēkia(Your valyrian is terrible, brother)." You released yourself from your hold on Aemond and settled down.
"You both understood me." Aegon smiles widely and started walking towards you two making Aemond turn his head away.
"Don't hide." You placed a hand on his cheek and he sighed. "Join, Aegon." His lips were on yours the second you said that. He fumbled with his pants and you heard them fall to the floor. His already hard cock instantly sprung out, slapping his stomach and tapped your face. "How long have you been watching?"
"Not long." He jerked himself a few times before leaning forward and trying to push the tip against your lips. You turned away and smirked.
"Don't be such a tease," Aemond says and you look at him in amusement that he was now accepting what was about to happen. The brothers shared a look and Aemond pulled your legs up higher and pulled out.
"Aemond-." You were cut off by him pushing in again, it made you gasp and let an opening for Aegon to shove his cock down your throat. You gagged loudly and smacked a hand flat on the bed while the other shot up and grabbed Aemonds shoulder. You couldn't see them but they shared a look with a mischievous glint in their eyes. Aemond started grinding against you and Aegon pushed far into your mouth.
They fell into a rhythm. Skin slapping, gagging noises, and deep groans from the brothers. Awgon watched your breasts bounce at the movements and reached down to pinch the brown nubs. You moaned and your body jerked, your moans made vibrations around Aegons cock. He squeezed his eyes shut and tilted his head back.
"Your mouth is always so good."
Aemond could feel you tightening around his cock and it made him roll his eyes back.
"Is she almost there?" Aegon asks and Aemond shakily nods before grabbing under your knees and pushing them forward. Aemond leans forward, his head always touching Aegons stomach, he was trying hard not to let it happen. But Aegon couldn't help but watch as his little brother's face started twisting in pleasure, it made his cock twitch.
"Fuck." He groaned, his muscles started jerking, and he felt you tighten around him. Your walls were soon being painted white which triggered you to cum, everywhere. You thrashed around as juices started splattering everywhere. It hit Aemond's neck and chest, dripped down your belly, and by how close Aegon was it even landed on him.
That's what set Aegon off to shoot his seed down your throat. You were thrashing around as you rode out your orgasam, and Aegons cock shooting his seed down your throat made it more difficult to breathe. You smacked his thigh and he slowly pulled out. You took in a deep breath and Aemond let your legs down. Everyone was out of breath, Aemond sat back on his heels and Aegon tucked himself away.
"Help me up." Both of them rushed to grab or place their hands under your body to help you up. You rested on the headboard and Aemond reached around to place a pillow on your back. "I love you both."
"I love you." They said at the same time and you giggled. Aemond laid down next to you and Aegon sat down on a chair. It fell into an uncomfortable silence, for you and Aemond at least, it was your first threesome, the first time either of you have come with someone else. It wasn't Aegons first(of course) but he never thought how turned on it made him feel to see his brother in that position with their love, seeing him like that.
There was a fluttering feeling in your belly and you gasped. Their eye shot up and Aegon stood up and cautiously approached.
"What's wrong?" He rested his knee on the bed making it deepen. You grabbed his wrist and brought it to your belly to lay it flat.
"Feel." Aemond knew instantly what was happening and smiled. He watched his brother'sq face twist in confusion as he waited for something. He then felt a little movement push against his hand and he drew it back.
"What was that."
"Our baby." Aegon couldn't believe what he was hearing, feeling, or seeing. He's never felt a child move in the womb, let alone his. He didn't bother with Helaena, never got to experience these milestone with his children. The guilt was eating at him again after he though it wouldn't come back since being in his children's lives more.
"Our baby?" He repeated and his eyes started stinging. He reached out again and gently placed his hand on your bare belly. The baby kicked against his hand and he let out a shaky breath and rested his head on your shoulder. "Thank you. Thank you." You felt tears drop on your arm.
Aemond stared sadly. The consequences of his own actions. That could've been his baby, but it wasn't. He slowly turned around and grabbed his patch before reaching down and grabbing the pants from the previous night.
"Aemond?"
"Hmm." He responded as he pulled his pants up.
"Don't go."
"You and Aegon should have this moment." He was going to step away when you reached out and grabbed his hand.
"This child is as much as yours, just as much they are too me and Aegon." Aemond looked at Aegon and his brother clearly hesitated but nodded. Aemond dropped his head and slowly sat back on the bed and scooted against the headboard. You laid your head on his shoulder then grabbed his hand to lay it on your belly.
Aegon and Aemonds fingers brushed gently against each other. They both drew back, as if they burned at the touch.
"We should all marry." It was complete silence after that, it made your heart race.
"I believe that's-."
"No." You and Aegon looked at Aemond and you lip quivered.
"Aemond."
"No, I-Im not marrying my brother." He got out if the bed again and walked to the window.
"Our families have married brothers and sister, cousins, and uncle and nieces to each other for years."
"Yea Y/n, but never brother and brother, never sister and sister."
"Aegon the Conqueror married his sisters." Aegon says and Aemond places his hand on his face. "Its not a terrible idea."
"He's right." You say and move to get out of bed, a silk night dress was hanging of a pole and you slipped it on. "We can marry in the way of Old Valyria and Aemond this can be a way of sealing ourselves for eternity, let us start over, after everything." Aegon appeared and stood by the two of you.
"Why now?" He asks, trying to relax.
"You've heard the rumors, every time a servant comes in here and sees the three if us, it doesn't take much to know what happening. I don't want our child to be called a bastard."
"But they wont." He grabbed your arms. "Nobody will question his legitimacy."
"They will call me a whore."
"And if they do I will cut them where they stand."
"But I want to marry the men I love." Aemond sighed in defeat and looked into your eyes. You were sad, eyes clearly tearing up.
"Ill marry you, both of you." Aegon says and you both look at him. "We should try brother, for her?" You grabbed Aegons hand and intwined them. Aemonds heart was beating quickly as he looked i to his brothers eyes before nodding.
"Okay." You dropped Aegons hand and pulled Aemond into a hug, wrapping hour arms around his neck. He slowly wrapped his arms around your waist and held you tightly. But he then felt dome grab his hand, he turned his head go see Aegons hand holding his, and he couldn't help but squeeze it tightly.
-
"Polygamy is frowned upon by the seven but not in the eyes of Old Valyria. There have been few moments of it, the most known is our ancestor Aegon and his sister- wives, Viseyna and Rhaenys." "Says Rhaenerya, You all sat in the council room, along with Daemon. "And im sure the three of you know the only way for you to marry is in the ways of Old Valyria." You nodded. "Any date in mind?"
"We were- well I was thinking after the babe is born and im healed."
"Thats a great idea." She nods and you smile. "Will that be all?"
"Yes your grace, thank you."
"You're dismissed." Aemond and Aegon stood up and bowed their heads. You tried to stand up but the weight of you belly made you flop back down. Aemond held his hands out, you looked down them and smiled, you grabbed them. He pulled you up and Aegons hands settled on your waist to help guide you out.
Daemon couldn't hell but smile at the look of happiness on your face. It had been so long since he'd seen you smile like you were.
-
Ever since the three of you got betrothed, you no longer felt the need to hide. Sure it was still mostly behind closed doors but if you wanted to hold Aegons hand or you kissed out in public, you could. You all agreed not to mention the three of you were getting married to not cause an uproar of the people who clearly would not like it.
"Aegon?"
"Hmm?" He stirs groggily, not even opening his eyes. He had been sleeping in your chambers for the past month. Right next to either you or Aemond.
You're not sure what happened between the brothers, they no longer glared at each other or expressed their jealousy. And you've noticed the longing stares they share now, and you're also not sure if they mean too let you know.
"Me and Aemond have been talking about- well we'd like you too move in with us, or move into a bigger chamber." Aegon shot his head up and balanced himself on his arms.
"Are you serious?" He looks at you then around the rook in search of his brother. He didn't see him but heard shuffling from around the corner. Aemond then walked out, he was adjusting his belt of his training pants, with no shirt on. No matter how many times you have see your husband without a shirt or completely naked, the sight of his chest and his toned stomach made you squeezed your legs.
Aegon gawked at his brother, he let his eyes travel down his body, and when he turned around to reveal his back. He couldn't help but feel his cock twitch.
"We are to be married and we are all grown, there will be no issue."
"You're right, okay, so a new room?"
"Yes and we can choose it while Aemond trains." You get out of the bed and walk to Aemond, he was shrugging on his training armor. You grab the fronts, pull them together and start looping the buckles together.
"I should be done with training by then and we can start moving the small stuff in." You did the last buckle and Aemond leaned down and kissed you.
"I'll see you all later." Aemond grabs his sword and dagger and nods at Aegon before leaving. You turn to Aegon and smile.
"Ready?"
"How about you lay down with me and let me treat you?" He wiggled his eyebrows and you rolled your eyes.
"For that, we are going now." He instantly frowned.
-
You chose the room yourself, Aegon really just tagged along. It was a fairly large room, bigger than your current one but smaller than the Queens. Perfect for three people.
“Please start moving furniture, mine, my husbands and Prince Aegons items into this room, but please find a larger bed. And no questions.” You instruct the servants and they just bow and scurry off.
“I love when your assertive.” Aegon kissed your cheek, wrapped his arms around you and dug his face in your neck.
“We should find something to eat, we have been searching for a room all day and im hungry.” He placed a hand on your swollen belly and stood up straight.
“I cannot let you or my little girl starve.”
“Little girl?” You raise your eyebrow at him and let him drag you out the room.
“Yes I believe our babe will be a girl.”
“Hmm, Aemond said that both times and they ended being boys.”
“What do you think we’ll have?”
“Another boy, im hanging quite low and my symptoms are the same.”
“A mother knows best.” He kisses your temple and his smile dropped as he thought of his own mother. All the hell he put her through. He knew when she visited and found out her newest grandchild is not her second son’s but her first, she’d bd livid. And he didn’t want to think about what she would do when she finds out he’s marrying his brother and his brothers wife.
-
Aemond joined you after cleaning himself. His eye patch was killing him, it was scratching and digging into his skin. He sat down in his new chamber and ripped the patch off.
“Are you alright?” You ask him as you place a small box down.
“The patch hurts.”
“You need a new one, it’s already worn out.” Aegon overheard you and set a box down.
He knew a guy
-
Aemond woke up early to head into the markets to find a new patch. He unwrapped his arm from you in bed and sat up. He reached for the patch but be felt the material and furrowed his eyebrows.
It was clearly new. Plain black, soft edges, and excellent craftsmanship.
He looked down at you, you were sleeping peacefully, burying your face into Aeons back. You couldn’t have gotten up, he would’ve known. Maybe one of your handmaids got it for you? His eye traveled to the door where he saw Aegons boots, but they were muddy. He looked at his brother and his heart fluttered.
Did he get it for him?”
He walked around the bed and stood in front of him. He hesitated for a moment before reaching down and shaking his shoulder. Aegon didn’t stir at all. Aemond rolled his ehe and gave him a shard shove making his brother shoot up.
“Aemond- What?” He whispered and rubbed his eyes.
“Would you like to join me in the training yard?” Aegon was trying to understand the question, just barley waking up.
“Okay.” He says and flops down.
“Get ready.” His brother says and he hears him walk away. Aegon rolls his eyes and shoves the sheets on him.
“My love, me and Aemond are going to the training yard.” He whispered to you and your face twisted.
“Okay.” You say and fall back asleep.
-
You woke up completely confused when neither man was next to you. It took you a moment to remember where they had gone.
“Eoywn!?” You called and sat up, the door opened quickly to reveal your brown headed knight.
“Yes princess?” He ran to your aide and offered his hands to pull you up.
“How long have the princes’ been gone?”
“No more than an hour.”
“Please escort me there after I ready myself.” You walked away, with a slight waddle.
“Yes Princess.”
-
Eowyn escorted you to the training ground and up to the viewing posts. You could see Aemond moving around flawlessly while Aegon stood there, clearly dumbfounded, it made you giggle.
“Fruit my lady?” A maid asks as she holds a tray full of fruits.
“Yes thank you.” You grab the plate and set it in front of you.
“I remember when I knocked Aemond on his arse when you were first betrothed.” Daemon appeared behind you and you jumped.
“Don’t do that.” You place a hand over your heart.
“Apologies.” He smirks and sits beside you. “I should go down their and do it again, maybe even do it to Aegon.”
“No, you’d embarrass them too much.”
“You’re no fun. Hows the babe?”
“Long overdue.” Daemon chuckled.
“You still have 3 months.”
“Don’t remind me.”
“It will be worth it my little dragon.” He reached out and petted your hair like he always does.
“You just want another grandchild too steal from me.” He let out a loud laugh.
“Has Rhaegar spoken to you about training him? Because he asked me.”
“No he has not, Eoywn did he ask you?” You turn to the knight and he sheepishly nods. “And im guessing he has asked his father as well, why didn’t he ask me?”
“Maybe because he’s worried his mother will say no?” Your father says and you sigh.
“I guess.” You turn your attention back to the field just to see Aegon fall face first in the mud. You winced but Daemon let out a loud laugh and you slapped his shoulder. Aemond looked up and as did Aegon.
A flash of anger surged through Aegons body as embarrassment flooded his body. He let out a yell and scrambled to his feet before swinging his sword at his brother. Aemond stumbled back in shock but regained his posture.
“Calm down brother.” Aegon has always had anger issues in training. They’re swords clashed together and Aegon pushes forward as did Aemond, making the blades rest on their necks.
They looked deep into each others purple eyes. Aegon’s calmed down and his breathing matches his brothers. Their grips on the swords loosened and they lowered them, but not moving away from each other. The people watching started whispering.
“They’re whispering.” Mumbles Aemond .
“Let them.” Aegon pushed his chest against Aemonds and they swore they could feel each others hearts begin to race. The more they stared at each other the more their faces grew red. Aegon flickered his eyes to his brothers small, almost heart shaped lips.
You were watching from above, waiting to see what would happen, it excited you.
“Not here.” Aemond stepped back and cleared his throat.
“I see how you look at me.” Says Aegon and oh how he wishes he could grab his hand. “I want it too brother.”
-
3 months had passed Aemond and Aegon still had not kissed and you were now in labor.
“Where are they?” You seethed and grabbed the chair.
“I do not know, my lady please lay down.”
“No.” You snapped. “Women found that standing and squatting will help the baby come quicker.” The door burst open to reveal your father.
“I see that it is time.” He placed a hand on your back and rubbed it up and down. “Where are they?”
“I-I don’t know, Kepa please find them.” You cried and dig your face in his chest, Daemon sighed and kisses your head.
-
“You’ve been avoiding me.”
“I have not, and you’re interrupting my reading.” Aemond says and doesn’t look up from his book.
“Aemond, when we marry you know kissing is part of it, gods I thought I was the smart one.” Aemond just rolls his eye. Aegon sat down on the cough right next to Aemond and snatched the book so he could throw it across the room. He then grabbed Aemond face and pulled him close. “Kiss me.” Aegons hands on his face felt like they were burning him, but it was a good burn.
The truth of Aemond avoiding his brother(more than he does), is that he was scared. Everytime Aegon walked into the room his heart swelled in his chest, it wasn’t the same as when you would. No yours made him feel like he would explode, but what is brother makes him feel is damn close.
“I’ve never kissed a man.”
“Its not hard I can teach you, I can teach you a lot of things.” Aegon says and Aemond swallows hard. He slowly started to lean in, but before their lips touched a booming voice stopped them. In fear they scrambled away from each other.
“Nephews your wife and betrothed is have your baby, what the fuck are you doing!?” Daemon asks, he clearly knew what was happening, but it wasn’t the time to dwell on it.
Aemond practically jumped over the furniture and pushed past his uncle. Aegon followed in tow but almost tripped on the way out.
They reached the chamber door and burst through it.
“My love.”
Aemonds voice stopped your pacing and you painfully walked to him. He grabbed you arms and pressed his head against yours.
“Im here.”
“Prince Aegon you cannot be in here.”
“Im-.”
“He is the fucking father of course he’s going to be here.” You say and clearly shocked the handmaid. She tried to stammer something but found it best to just keep her mouth shut.
“Why didn’t you tell us you were feeling something?” Aemond asked.
“It started after you left.”
“What do you need?”
“I just need to walk.”
They took turns walking you up and down the halls. Aegon didn’t know what to do, but when he saw Aemond breathing with you he decided to do the same.
“You’re going to be such a good father.” You say weakly and lean against him.
“If you say it more I might believe you.” He chuckled and you laughed before wincing.
“Fuck.” You dipped your hand under your dress and felt around before gasping.
“What!?” Aegon stopped and his eyes widened at you.
“I feel the baby.”
“Oh.” He froze instantly
“Aegon!” Your yell snapped him out.
“Ok Ok! Uh- lets get you back.” You slowly took a few steps, still with your hand between your legs. You got to the room and everyone say how you were and flooded around you.
“Princess you must lay down.”
“No.” You say and push past people.
“Y/n please.” Says Aemond but you wave him off. You sit on the edge of the bed and slid down to a squatting position, still gripping the edge.
“I want to push.”
“Okay princess.” An older handmaid says and gets to her knees in front of you. Another maid walked past Aemond with a water basin with towels in it.
“I can do that.” He takes it from her hands. “Aegon sit behind her.” Aegon was just standing in a corner, terrified out of his mind. He was never in the birthing room for Helaena, didn’t even see her after. “Aegon! Fucking move!”
“Okay.” He nods and walks cautiously to move behind you. You wrapped your arms around his thighs and leaned back. You then felt a cool towel dab on your forehead, you then to see Aemond and you smiled.
“You got this.” He kissed your head
“When you’re ready princess.”
“Okay.” You took in a deep breath and started pushing. Everyone started saying words of encouragement as you pushed again.
“One more big push.” You let out a scream and dug your nails into Aegons legs making him wince. The last push resulted in a babies cry.
“A boy, a perfect boy.” You let out a laugh and collapsed.
“Lets get her in the bed.”
They tied off the umbilical cord them cut it so they could take him to het cleaned. He was crying so much already. Aemond grabbed under your arm and pulled you up, Aegon moved out of the way and helped you lay down.
“You did so good.” Whispered Aegon and he kissed your cheek. You smiled weakly before an uncomfortable pressure pushed in your stomach.
“Oh fuck.”
“The afterbirth.” A maid says. “We must collect it.” While it was being collected they brought the newborn over and handed him right to Aemond. Aegon straightened himself out trying to see the baby.
“Hello.” Aemond cooed and he smiled at the scrunch the baby gave hum before whimpering. “Would you like to meet your father? Hmm?” Aemond started walking towards Aegon. “Here you go.”
“I don’t know how.”
“Yes you do, you’ve held the twins and Maelor, its the same thing.” Aegon still hesitated but he lifted his arms and Aemond placed the squirming baby in his hold.
“Shh. Shh everything’s okay.” He adjusted the babe to a more comfortable position. “Im not going to mess you up, I promise.” He gently laid a small kiss on his forehead.
“Um may I please see my son?” Aegon looks to see you sitting up and waiting. He nodded and carefully stood up and placed your son in your arms. “Gods you were a big one.” Everyone laughed at that.
The door opened and Daemon walked into the room with Rhaenyra in tow.
“Oh my little dragon.” He went to you first and cradled your face before kissing it. “You did so good.” He looked down to his newest grandchild. “And who is this?” He held his finger out and stroked the babies cheek.
“Do we have a name? You looked too Aegon and he let out an awkward laugh.
“Yes this is Elyas Targaryen.”
“Beautiful name.” He says and leans down to kiss his head.
People were in and out the room the whole day, wishing their congratulations. Rhaegar was the most excited to get a new sibling, but as he greeted his new brother you could help but remember he doesn’t know his parents are marrying his uncle.
They moved a bathtub in the room so you could relax as Aegon and Aemond were hogging him, really only handing him too for a feeding.
“He’s perfect.” Aegon says not taking his eyes of his son.
“Just wait until he starts growing.” Aemond falls on the bed. Someone knocked on the door. “Come in.” The door opened to reveal Ser Eoywn.
“Your graces, Lady Alicnet Hightower has arrived, just thought you should prepare yourself.” Nobody said a word after that.
“Thank you Ser Eoywn.” He nodded and stepped back, shutting the door behind him.
“She’s going to kill us.”

Aegon x wife! reader
Warnings: Breastfeeding, a little voyeurism, NSFW, +18
She didn't know why but her breast continued to produce milk, even after they were supposed to.
She was sitting at her vanity, looking at her breast in the mirror, they still looked full and felt a bit heavy, when her husband walked into their chambers.
Aegon, I... She tried to put her nightgown back down and cover herself.
Y/N, why do you cover yourself? He asked while walking closer to her.
I... it's just... I don't know why there's still milk in them.
Love, we musn't doubt the Gods, if they will it so. Aegon wasn't particularly devoted of the faith, but he knew his wife was. He knew it wasn't the will of a God, but the will of a King to keep her breast full and plump for him, with the help of the maesters, he had found a tea that could make it so. He came close to where she was sitting and put his hand below her breast.
Both of them staring at the mirror, when he started his ministrations. He caressed her breast, slowly moving to her nipple. She gasped in pleasure, her breast were still very sensitive. If it's a gift, we must make use of it, he whispered close to her ear. Aegon started to kiss her neck, while continuing his touch on her breast. The fabric of her nightgown, wet, because of the milk. He pulled the straps of her nightgown down and she felt the air on her naked body.
Aegon carried her to their bed, put her down and climbed on top of her. He kissed her lips hungrily, she llicked his lower lip and kissed him back, hungry for him too. He then moved to her neck and her breast. So plump, he whispered. He started licking her perk nipple and masaging her other breast with his hand, milk ozing out of both of her breasts. Her body feeling the wetness of her milk as some milkdrops fall to the sheet. He then put his mouth to her breast and started sucking the milk out, licking her nipple and using his lips to pump the milk. His other hand, masaging her other breast. She moaned and grabbed his hair, holding him there, feeling the pleasure starting to pile on the pit of her stomach. Aegon then pulled his mouth form her breast, and with milk on his lips, kissed her again. She tasted herself. Sweet, she thought. Her thoughts barely coming together from her pleasure. Her core drip in wetness aswell, feeling Aegon ever growing presence for her.
He then moved to her other breast, his other hand on the junture of her breast and her ribs, moving ever so slightly. He licked and sucked and drank her in, while she moaned, getting closer to the edge. She caressed his face and his hair, pulling softly with each moan.

when your husband aemond wants physical affection, he comes to YOUR chambers.
sex is not the first or the only thing he asks for, aemond just really wants your full undivided attention. after an exhaustingly long day of managing affairs and telling people what to do, all he wants is for his sweet beloved wife to take care of him, starting with removing his clothes and taking a hot aromatic bath.
aemond always prefers it when you undress him, as you are gentle with your touch and you take extra precaution when removing his eye-patch. the prince regent finds a degree of comfort in you he hasn’t felt since he was a boy at driftmark.
when he is feeling extra needy, aemond will insist that you join him in the bathtub yourself, he loves to have you on his lap and chest-to-chest with him so close and intimate.
and when you eventually begin to ride him, he simply can’t stop gawking at how radiant you look under the flickering candlelights. he is completely mesmerized not only by your dornish beauty, but also by your affectionate nature and how well you understand him. it makes him cum that much faster when you ride him like this.
alternatively, when a bath is not involved, aemond will stand at your doorway with his hands clasped behind his back until you make the first move beckoning him over to your bed.
when the prince regent is feeling particularly sore after riding vhagar, you give him a deep tissue back massage, using some hot oil, usually eucalyptus and jasmine rubbed between your fingers to soften his tense muscles and relieve any back knots.
…..after that? it’s all fair game 😮💨💦🍆

ill start this by saying i understand @its-actually-minicika said the matter with @blackdreamspeaks is over and done but i literally cant let go of some things she said.
((also english is my second language so im sorry if i make mistakes 🤡 i will put this under the cut but i really think people should read this))
here is the problem. she said that she, takes the blame for what happened but she posts this after not even a full day of calling out that she did something wrong
there are no multiple sides to this story girl like none at all. it is literally the fact that you took content from mini/mina without credit and after you apologised you didnt even own it uppp. you said it was a coincidence and that you maybe took inspiration from her from the unconcious which is such a dumb excuse.
yesterday i sent you an ask with screenshots of compared writing from mini that she posted 2 months ago and stuff you posted 2 days ago. and it was clear you took the sentence from her without even an edit. you also used the same insult she used with hw aemond for your aemond. which is again really shitty and so clear because only she uses it.
i didnt compare everything you wrote in your update to hw because it is very long and i think that even those two things are enough to prove this point. it is not fair that you took from mini but then not even apologise in truth. you cant say this was a coincidence. you cant say this isnt done with intent. she is a very nice person and she deserves a real apology where you actually say that, yes you copied from her but that you re very sorry.
i waited for you to at least answer my ask if you were actually sorry and assuming your blame. because i wanted to give you the benefit of doubt and let you prepare your answer. sadly you never replied but i still have the screenshots even after your edit.
>
so this one is yours.
>
and this one is from minis series.
there was also the insult as i said but i didnt take screenshots of it before you edited. but the insult was 'whithered cunt' which mini wrote in the first part of hw and that was a long time ago.
you guys can cancel me if you want and whatever i honestly dont care because i am a small blog and i tbh dont even post. threaten to doxx or send me mean dms I fr dont careee
this is a post that i made for both mini and me because she deserves a real apology and you didnt give her that and also because i am honestly very angry. i think most people also dont know what happened because you never released the screenshots in my ask and you never actually said what you took from mini. because yes!!! you took from mini. there are no sides to this. there is the right side and that is mini. you play the victim too much and that is not okay. you are 21 and you should know better.
i end this by saying i understand you talked to mini and you say she is okay with everything now. she didnt say anything to any of her followers to do. she actually told me and someone else to not bother anymore with this drama. but i am bothered. and you are very frustrating. what you did is not okay at all
so girl bffr and take the blame. it isnt that hard. i might be back to edit this or to add stuff i think is important but these are the most important things that i can think of right now. i will post with the tags for hotd because people need to see this and i don't have many followers.

From hate to love… or something like that
Aegon II Targaryen x fem!reader
word count: 15.7k (sorrrryyyy)
warnings: arranged marriage, hate-to-love, mentions of rape, mentions of incest, mentions of suicidal thoughts, drinking alcohol, mommy issues, daddy issues, mentions of sex without love, unprotected sex, oral sex (f receiving), porn with plot (but something cheap, tbh) and I probably forgot something but I think that makes it clear that this shit is not for minors, so MINORS DNI :)
A/N: I started this since the second season premiere started so if you find any canon-like scenes I completely promise it wasn't intentional. I also want to make it clear that you are responsible for what you read and if you don't like something please just let it go, that would be very kind of you!
And this doesn't make me team green at all, I'm a defender of the rightful queen to the death… it's just that her brother is too sexy to ignore 🫦
Enjoy!
taglist (who I thought might be interested): @barcelonaloverf1life @ilovequeen978
FIRST ACT: HATE
Finding a wife for Prince Aegon II was probably one of the most difficult tasks Alicent Hightower had to face.
The engagement with his sister Helaena had been broken after a more tempting offer for the princess, which would get them a permanent alliance with the Lannister house that they couldn’t refuse. Viserys himself had agreed to accept and the queen consort had no choice but to give her little daughter in marriage to a blonde lord. The problem was that her son was left without a fiancée.
Aemond didn't worry her, after all he was growing up quite quickly and she knew that he was more inclined to become a warrior than to fulfill his marital responsibilities. But Aegon, however, was a lost cause.
It was no secret that Alicent had always felt disappointed in her eldest son. He was careless, lazy, and a hopeless alcoholic, qualities that couldn’t be celebrated at all. Now that her beloved father had returned, the queen didn’t hesitate to consult him on the matter, hoping that the man had a solution for the problem that afflicted her, and together they analyzed what was the best option to unite the king's first-born son. Especially after, years ago, Rhaenyra and Daemon got married and moved to Dragonstone indefinitely.
“It must be someone we completely trust, someone who cannot dare to hurt us because they know that their blood is linked to ours.”
The Arryns were loyal to the future queen Rhaenyra and some of the houses south of Vale were too. The Westerlands was the richest section of the Seven Kingdoms and was already secured, so it seemed prudent to the king's hand to go for the next widest section: The Reach. The most formidable options within this area were the Hightower and the Tyrell. Obviously taking the first option would be a waste since the members of that house would support Aegon without complaint due to their kinship, so the decision was made with the direct heir of Highgarden.
King Viserys agreed to the idea without putting up many obstacles, since poppy milk clouded his judgment most of the time and also the affairs of his first son had never interested him much.
The union was sealed as soon as the deal was offered to Lyonel Tyrell, who was extremely happy to be able to assure his family a future with said marriage. It was thus that he gave you, his only daughter, to Prince Aegon II Targaryen.
And the second the boy saw you, he absolutely hated you.
He had come to the idea (very unpleasant, by the way) of marrying his younger sister and now that his mother was forcing him to marry a complete stranger, he couldn't be angrier. In a short time he would turn twenty and it seemed pathetic to him that at that point he would have to offer shows like those before the kingdom. Because the wedding wasn’t simple, of course, but thousands and thousands of guests were present at the banquet that Alicent forced the king to prepare, claiming by saying that he had done the same for Princess Rhaenyra's wedding.
“It is a pleasure to finally see each other, your grace. They have told me a lot about you”
You had said those precise words the first time you had met, when his mother organized a walk so that you could 'get to know each other better', although supervised by her own eyes that were behind you, making sure that her son didn’t commit any indecency. But no matter how sweetly you smiled and spoke them, Aegon could sense that you were lying.
There was hatred in your eyes and a clear resentment towards the life from which you were torn, as if it weren’t an honor to have the opportunity to marry the prince of the seven kingdoms. Your hypocritical words represented an insult to the boy and that is why he decided from the first moment that he would hate you deeply.
With your mere existence you would have deprived him of his freedom, his entertainment, his youth. He would be tied to you for future occasions, he would have to take you to all the events, secure your food, your clothes. share the same roof and pretend to be nice to you in the eyes of others. And, besides, he could have thought of a lot of candidates better than you, physically speaking. Your beauty was quite ordinary for his taste, as if he were looking at any painting; cheap and repetitive.
“I regret to admit that I am not so fortunate, Lady Tyrell. But I am happy for the union of our houses” he lied, in the same way that you had done.
And it was obvious that this didn’t go unnoticed by you, that you had the same critical eye as your recent fiancé but that you sought to maintain composure in the presence of your future mother-in-law.
On the wedding day Aegon had a good time only because he was able to drown himself in monumental quantities of liquor and because he was able to eat as much as he wanted of the exquisite banquet. He didn't even pay a bit of attention to how you looked in the wedding dress that the royal seamstresses had been in charge of making in record time, because when the time came he flattered you superficially and then ignored the matter. The ceremony kiss was the first you shared, and it was so fleeting and awkward that the prince felt disappointed. On the wedding night he was so drunk that he didn't even look at you.
You knew that the unfortunate day would come when you would have to carnally please the young man and the simple thought of being defiled in this way caused you terror and nausea in equal parts.
It was a stranger whom you had married, of whom the only thing you knew was his noble title and name.
In the days following your marriage, unfortunately or fortunately, Aegon didn’t even speak to you. You didn't have to share a room, so it was easier for him to completely ignore you while he went about his ways.
You had to admit that the only good thing about having taken this trip was the beautiful landscapes that King's Landing offered you. Your room had a direct view of Blackwater Bay and you spent several days looking out the window at the beautiful sea. Sometimes you could watch Prince Aemond ride his dragon, and honestly, the size of the beast scared you a little. You hadn't had the chance to observe Aegon in Sunfyre yet but if he was as impressive as Vhagar, then he would be quite a sight.
A week passed, then another and another where you were nothing more than a guest in the palace. You didn't talk to anyone, you ate dinner alone, you barely saw the outside of the castle. Sometimes you went to the Sept, pretending to pray, but really just killing the endless boring hours of the day. You were somewhat lucky if you found Helaena, the most sensible and calm within the royal family, because you had pleasant conversations with her. When you met the queen it was a little more difficult, because she asked you endless questions in which you had to fake the answers. How could you be fulfilling your parenting responsibilities if the capricious prince wouldn't deign to lay a finger on you?
After a month, Alicent seemed to take matters into her own hands and forced her eldest son to take you to sleep in the same room as him. However, Aegon seemed to want to blame you for something you hadn't chosen. He never spoke to you and every time you went to bed, he would stand with his back to you as far away as possible. And as if that weren’t enough, he had explicitly ordered his guards not to allow you to leave the room unless it was in his company. It was his way of punishing you, of getting even for the complaints of his mother and grandfather regarding his lack of interest in marriage.
“My mother wants us to attend a dinner tonight” you were so unaccustomed to hearing his voice addressing you that it took you a second to process what he was telling you “I will talk to the maids to bring you a suitable dress.”
You didn't know what to say. You didn't want to go to that dinner, nor did you want to be with him, or wear one of those tight, annoying dresses. Aegon, noticing your silence, deigned to look at you and in your eyes he could see the aversion you felt for him. It was something difficult to mask and he had seen it on so many faces that it was nothing new.
“As you wish, prince.”
A bitter laugh came from your husband's throat.
“Don't be a hypocrite, for God's sake. I know you hate me as much as I hate you. Save appearances for guests, not in the chambers."
You wouldn’t have had the courage to admit out loud what his majesty had said, but you didn’t dare to contradict him either. You had to play the role of a self-sacrificing and suitable wife for the man if you wanted to keep your honor, but above all your head.
You tried, with all your might, to see some quality in Aegon that you liked so that you could treat him in a better way, which always resulted in something useless. Perhaps if he had been nicer to you, you could have known how to forgive his faults, but even that wasn’t granted to you.
The dinner was mostly family-oriented, with the guest of honor being from House Baratheon whose purpose was to discuss some political matters with the king and queen. Due to his health, Viserys didn’t usually leave his room more than necessary, however, that night the occasion warranted it.
“Lady Tyrell, how is your stay in King's Landing?”
The king had a reputation for being gentle with his guests and was the first person to ask you a personal question, so the smile you showed him was genuine.
“Very pleasant, your grace. The servants treat me as well as possible and I must admit that the views from my room are beautiful. Your dragon is impressive, Prince Aemond, by the way.”
The boy, who wasn't all that expressive, just looked at you for a moment and tilted his head down slightly.
“I'm glad you like it, princess.”
"And my son? How is our Aegon treating you?”
That question was more complicated to answer, since it required expressing a lie. Everyone present focused their attention on you, except your husband who had been staring into nothingness for a long time.
“Very well, my king. He’s a good husband and I am happy to have been able to unite our houses.”
The aforementioned snorted, incredulous at what you were saying at the table, and took a long drink from his glass of wine.
“And I hope very soon you can give us strong and beautiful heirs.”
Although that was intended as a compliment, you felt the weight of that responsibility pressing down on you again.
“I wish the same. It will be an honor to serve the crown and bear the progeny of a house as formidable as yours."
The queen was pleased with your answer and for a moment felt sorry for you. She knew her son well, so deep down she knew that it wasn’t a gift from the gods to be married to him. The rest of the table looked at you curiously, wondering if you were serious, trying to be ironic, or just trying to play the good girl role.
Aegon, as expected, became intoxicated during dinner and when Queen Alicent announced that she was going to retire to sleep you thought it prudent to do the same. Your husband, however, had other wishes.
“Stay here,” he asked, his voice serious.
When he was drunk he looked you up and down, probably evaluating how worth it would be to decide to strip you naked and fuck you once and for all. Your body in the dress you were wearing looked better with a few drinks on him.
“I think it would be best to retire, my husband. This way you can stay with the men to chat and… drink”
“But I want you to stay here to keep me company,” he insisted, holding your wrist tightly “Or don't you want to please your prince?”
It wasn’t a loving request, but one for control. He wanted to have you there only to demonstrate his power over you, without paying attention to you or talking; only as an ornament.
“Aegon, enough,” Alicent interrupted, observing the scene that had begun to unfold. “Daughter, let's go to sleep. “I will accompany you”
“Fine, do whatever you want,” he spat contemptuously, abruptly releasing the wrist that was holding you. There was hatred in his eyes, but also pride.
The queen said goodbye to everyone present and then offered you her hand to take you away from there. You spent most of the way in silence, walking through the long, wide corridors of the fortress followed only by the faithful footsteps of Ser Criston Cole.
“You must be patient with him” he began to say “He is a particular man and sometimes… difficult, but I know that with your docile character you will be able to deal with his temperament.”
What did she know about your character? She didn't know you at all.
“So it shall be, Queen Alicent.”
“I understand what you are going through, dear. We both come from the same lands to endure the difficult task of accompanying a monarch. But it is our duty to carry it out with all the honor and temper worthy of our homes. Of course, I can trust that as a woman you will be able to help him fulfill another of the most important marital commitments, such as having children, to maintain the lineage and blood. For a virgin like you, Aegon may be rough, but... patience and resilience are among the best virtues. A woman in royalty must endure these things to give the best to the people.”
You had never wanted to be a princess. And just when you thought the queen was showing you compassion, you realized that she was only looking out for her interests and those of her family.
"Thanks for the advice. I'll keep it in mind"
She smiled and immediately left a kiss on your forehead, which could have been taken as a maternal kiss but which you didn't like at all. The longer you can postpone suffering, the better. If Aegon didn't even want to look at you, it was perfect.
That night, as soon as you touched the mattress and the silk sheets that decorated it, you began to cry until you fell asleep.
SECOND ACT: CONTROL
Time passed again and although the punishment of not leaving your room was not revoked, you found multiple activities with which to entertain yourself in the prince's absence. You filled your mornings and afternoons with reading, writing, knitting and embroidering. The nights were even more boring because most of the time your husband wasn't there either.
Rumors that you hadn’t yet consummated the marriage had spread through the halls of the palace and soon the smallfolk would murmur too. After all, the people couldn’t entertain themselves with anything more than the gossip and the plays that were going on in the poor neighborhoods, making fun of royal affairs.
You no longer even had the energy to deny those accusations and Aegon had given you the perfect opportunity by throwing you out of his room and refusing to leave the four walls of yours: if you didn't leave there, there was no way anyone would question you. And since you didn't have family inside the Keep, you didn't have any visitors either.
One night, however, your husband surprised you by entering your room. It had been days since you two had seen each other and his staggering around the room warned you that he was drunk again. You often wondered how he resisted drinking so much and the long-term effects it would have on his health, but right now your mind could only focus on the fear of what he might want in that state.
“Good night, dear,” he drawled, sounding as sarcastic as possible.
You were in your nightgown and you were carrying in your hand an old book that you had been reading and that you threw on the nightstand as soon as you saw him approaching you. You didn't have time to say or do anything else when he had already approached you in giant steps to grab you by the back of your neck and start kissing you. He was abrupt, careless, with his mouth smelling of wine and tasting even worse. You wanted to cry from helplessness.
“It's what everyone wants, isn't it?” he murmured, separating himself from you, but still holding you by the hair at the back of your neck. “A marriage arranged in a couple of days to form alliances. And that's it, my life was ruined thanks to my father wanting your stupid castle to expand his domain."
The truth is that couldn't be further from the truth. Viserys’s ambition had never been that, as he had been so little involved in the process that he simply didn’t care who his children were or were not married to. Except for Rhaenyra, of course.
Aegon continued:
"I didn’t want this. I didn't want to marry you, or anyone..."
“And you think I do?” you confronted him.
You were tired of the insult, the humiliation and him ignoring you as if you were worthless; even if that was what a husband did. And the most likely thing was that your words would be forgotten due to alcohol or that they would put an end to the wait for your suffering to begin and Aegon decided to take you once and for all.
“You have nothing to lose, prince,” you continued. “You get drunk as much as you want, you run away from your responsibilities and walk everywhere when I have to stay locked up here all day just because you want me to. I have to endure the suspicious looks of everyone because I still don't have an heir in the womb while you go and fuck your whores."
“I'm the prince and I fuck whoever I want, did you hear me?” he hissed. The grip on your hair had already begun to become painful and a few tears slipped down your cheeks “And I stop fucking whoever I want too. I'm not going to please anyone by getting you pregnant. There they will see if they come and force me to put my cock in you”
“Do you doubt that, your grace?” you exclaimed bitterly “Doubts that will force us to conceive?”
“So that's what you want? Do you want me to do it?”
“I want to go home. That is what I want. But my father used me as a bargaining chip and that's why I can't do anything."
“I'm sorry it was like that. If I had chosen my wife, I would surely have chosen someone prettier and more educated than you, but I can't do much either."
Once again, the man pushed you until your lips joined his and the same discomfort settled in you. He didn't kiss you with love, but with fury and violence to the point that you had to push him away when he bit you so hard that a trickle of blood began to come out of your lower lip. Aegon was also stained by it and with an acidic smile he ran the tip of his tongue all over his mouth to remove any traces.
Looking at you he didn't look happy, but he didn't look angry either. He just seemed fed up.
Everyone knew, or suspected, that the prince was very capable of taking sexual advantage of any woman. He had done it before with maids and prostitutes and had slept peacefully throughout that time. However, there was something about you that encouraged him not to. He didn't even think it was something about you specifically but about the situation, because he wanted to do the opposite of what he was ordered: if everyone ordered him to take you to have an heir, it automatically became an unpleasant act and at the same time that he refused.
He was hurt, not because of you but because of years and years of abuse and neglect. He didn't really know you at all, he only knew what you represented.
You were just the unlucky one who had married him.
"I hate you. I hate that you are my wife and you are not worthy of me even touching you” he snapped with disdain. You were still fighting to keep the tears inside your eyes and his vision had also blurred slightly “I wish I had never met you.”
“The feeling is mutual, your grace,” you expressed, your voice breaking. If it was an offense to the crown, you wouldn't even care anymore and if he killed you right there you wouldn't regret it too much either.
Aegon looked at you one last time before staggering back out the door without another word, closing it behind him with a loud gesture and leaving you alone in the room. The reality that you had escaped, once again, from being raped by the man fell on you like a bucket of cold water and your knees weakened until you fell to the floor.
You were hurt, tired, and defeated by the stress of the situation and the fear that had washed over you the entire time. Luckily he was gone, otherwise you didn't know if you would have endured what he had to do to you. It was better to have him busy in a brothel than to have to endure him in your bed.
You wished you could talk to someone and cry on a loved one’s shoulder, only to realize a second later that that was impossible. Aegon was your new family, now you belonged to the Targaryens and you would have to do as they wished.
Anger completely overwhelmed you to the point where you stood up from your seat and began throwing pieces of glassware all over the room, in a violent outburst at what had just happened and the way you felt. None of the guards outside your door dared to come in to check on you and soon enough you fell back to the ground, exhausted from the effort.
As you cried, perhaps for the umpteenth time since you had been married, you thought about how you would never be able to love Prince Aegon. Not even if you tried.
THIRD ACT: PAIN
After months, the inevitable arrived. The truth was that the first time you felt sorrow and anger, but the following times it became more tolerable. Not because it was better, but because you began to get used to it. Aegon didn't change his attitude towards you one bit. You indeed spent more time together, although that didn’t mean that you got along better or that you had begun to have more sympathy for each other.
The only advantage was that you had started to be friends with some people in the palace. Your sister-in-law, to begin with, as well as some of the maids who were in charge of looking after you, as they turned out to be your only company during those days. Those distractions were more than enough for you, considering the situation you were in, and they kept you sane as time went by.
Almost like a punishment from heaven, it seemed that you weren’t pregnant yet, since your biological processes seemed to continue working to the letter. That meant that, unfortunately, you would have to keep trying; when Aegon was lost enough to forget who you were and you had to stand still as a statue to let him loom over you.
You often liked to imagine what your life would have been like if you had stayed in Highgarden. Nobody knew it yet, but there you had found your first love and although it never went beyond a few kisses, you treasured the memory with particular affection. You had always wanted to marry a sweet man who loved and respected you, who would give you your place as a wife and adore you day and night; someone with whom you could feel protected, cared for, but above all happy. You thought, naively, that that boy you had met and who was nothing more than a commoner could have given you that life, but all those possibilities were nothing more than fantasies in which you tried to lock yourself in to feel less miserable with your unpleasant reality.
One night Helaena had invited you to a modest dinner in her company that you couldn't refuse, since none of your husbands were present and some time with friends could clear your mind. You didn't even know where the prince was, although it was expected that he was spending some time in the town with his friends.
“Sometimes I feel sad about our situation,” said the blonde. You were in the privacy of her chambers, not even with the maids present, so confessions like that were allowed “But I am happy that you are my friend, something that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.”
“I'm glad to talk to you too,” you smiled sincerely. “You're the best thing I've found around here.”
“My brothers aren't that bad, they're just… well, we've had a hard life. And that's why they behave like that."
“I think there is no justification for being a…” idiot, you wanted to say, but you had to remember that you were in the presence of the princess, “a person who is rude to others. But I guess that happens with royalty, right? They do what they want without consequences”
"I guess so. Kings, princes, the heirs, lords, dukes…”
“Okay, I get it,” you laughed bitterly “It's probably a masculine quality.”
You never thought your sister-in-law would have that kind of humor and to be honest, most of the time she was a comic relief for the situations you two were going through. Sometimes her prophecies scared you, especially the way she phrased them, but you wanted to think that her premonitions would never affect you directly.
When you finally got tired of chatting and the food was finished, you decided to return to your room, so you could have a peaceful night's rest. It was raining outside and thunder echoed in the distance, making the atmosphere slightly gloomy, but at the same time cooling every corner of King's landing.
The novelty of your position was no longer important enough to require you to be escorted by guards twenty-four hours a day, so you were able to slowly walk through all the corridors that led to your sanctuary. It was modest but cute, although not on the level of Aegon’s.
A man was guarding the door and you bowed your head to him to let you pass, which he did without any opposition. Once inside you got rid of your shoes and unbuttoned your corset, not caring that the room was almost in darkness; only the moonlight illuminated from the window. You took a few steps forward and squealed when you discovered that there was another person in the room, sitting at the small table with a drink in his hand. You would have started screaming for help if you hadn't noticed that said intruder had silver hair falling like a curtain over his face.
"Your grace?" you asked cautiously.
It isn’t usual for Aegon to drink in your room, as he preferred other places with more interesting company, and when you didn’t receive an answer you approached slowly. You thought that at best he had simply fallen asleep and at worst he would be dead.
At first his long, wavy hair covered your view of his face, but when he noticed your presence he raised his head and then you could see him. His features became clearer as lightning illuminated him from the outside and for a second you were horrified.
His cheek was red and a trickle of blood was dripping from his nose, however, what surprised you the most was seeing his eyes completely swollen.
“For the seven, I… I'll go call a maester”
“Don't even think about it,” he exclaimed hoarsely, seeing that you were already rushing towards the door.
Your husband didn't sound like his usual angry tone, but rather he seemed... hurt.
You thought for a second about what the appropriate reaction to the situation was. You couldn't leave the room because, in addition to the guards murmuring, it would be impolite to leave him in that state; also, where would you go? If you ignored him, he would probably take it as an insult and he had already made it clear that he didn't want to see someone who could take care of those injuries.
You hated him, it was true, but you weren't an insensitive monster either.
"Who did this to you?"
Aegon was surprised by how soft, even kind, your question sounded and the intoxication gave him some courage to answer.
“My mother and my grandfather. Mostly my mother, my grandfather rather dedicated his efforts to reminding me how useless I am”
You didn't know what to say. You never believed that the queen would be capable of hitting one of her sons like that. You didn't believe it from any mother, actually.
With some trepidation you took one of the chairs and placed it in front of him, expecting him to immediately push you away or ask you to get out of his sight. However, the prince didn't seem to have enough energy to do any of those things.
He had a lost look on his face and tears began to run down his face.
“Nothing… nothing I do pleases her. Neither to her, nor to my grandfather. All the time they are pressuring me, demanding me, yelling at me. Apparently Otto still hopes that my father will name me king, but I've never wanted that. They blame me for drinking all the time and how do they expect them not to? My father cares so little about me and my mother hates me. All his life he has hated me. She does it, my brothers… and so do you. My own wife hates me. Everyone… everyone who knows me does it”
You were silent for a moment.
There were mixed feelings inside you, because you couldn't forget the mistreatment that the man had given you during those months, nor the way he used you for his pleasure. He was right when he said you hated him. However, there was a compassionate part of you, deep down, that felt sorry for the man's state.
“And sometimes I just want to be dead. I just wish all the shit would go away and drowning in alcohol and dying would take away Alicent's problem and allow her to focus her attention on something better”
His gaze lifted and he looked at you with crystallized eyes.
“Maybe you should poison me one day. So your suffering would also end”
“Your highness, I cannot do that”
“But would you like it? Do you hate me enough to wish me dead?”
“Of course not,” you said quickly.
"Liar. You lie like everyone else. You want me dead”
You knew that saying something negative at that moment, in the state he was in, could result in him making some incoherence that you would be blamed for the next morning. So it was best to act cautiously.
“I don't think anyone wants that”
“My mother does. My father, Rhaenyra does it, and so does her stupid new husband…”
“Your grace…” you interrupted him harshly. Listening to him sink into his self-indulgence was too much to bear “You better go to sleep, don't you think? Now you're not thinking clearly, you'll feel better in the morning."
But Aegon seemed to be lost in his own thoughts, oblivious to anything you had to say to him.
“I guess I just wish someone wouldn't completely detest my existence, you know?”
Aegon had done terrible things to you, of course, but seeing him at that moment made you wonder if all of this was the product of poor parenting and psychological abuse that had been perpetuated for twenty long years. You couldn't say your father loved you, not after what he had done, but at least he hadn't constantly hurt you as the man in front of you had. You knew better than anyone that hate had to be healed with empathy and for a brief moment you felt soft for him.
Once Aegon was a small child, without sins, without accumulated hatred, without evil... and apparently that frightened child hadn’t been completely buried, because it was him who cried inconsolably and saw death as a viable alternative to end that suffering. However, there is no redemption without guilt, right? You don't get to heaven without first repenting.
You stayed silent for a long time, listening to him sob, and when you gathered the courage you spoke:
“Prince, can I be honest with you?”
You had spoken in a low and benevolent voice, while you slid from your chair until you were kneeling in front of him. The boy didn't even want to take advantage of that position for a sexual act, he was simply too tired and drained to think. You placed your hands on his knees and seeing that he nodded, you continued:
“You say you wish someone wouldn't hate you, but have you ever made an effort to do so? Or have you even wondered why people feel that way about you?”
“It's something natural for them”
“I didn't feel it,” you said, honestly. You hated the idea of getting married out of obligation, but if he had been different from the beginning maybe your feelings for him would be too “And you made me feel it. With your contempt, your humiliations, your punishments…”
“If everyone thinks you're a monster, what's the point of contradicting them?”
“And then you prefer to agree with them?”
You were probably taking too many liberties with the prince, but you would never have a chance to talk to him like that again. He was vulnerable and therefore less defensive than normal.
“Every person is responsible for their actions,” you continued. “You can't change how the queen or king feels about you, but you can choose to offer something better to others. If it’s your desire that people not hate you, that won’t happen overnight just because you tell it to. It takes time, effort and above all it requires kindness. If you live regretting the concept that people have of you, without doing anything to change it, then you will live a lifetime of dissatisfaction. If you seriously want someone to feel happy about your existence then pursue that goal, don’t expect it to be granted to you as a divine work.”
A deeper cry began to well up from the man and you almost thought he would lean down for your hug. Still, he didn't.
“I don't know how to be someone else. I have always been this”
“Not always, that's for sure. Water that stagnates rots and becomes a swamp. The one that runs, on the other hand, becomes a river and flows into the ocean.”
You raised the handkerchief you always carried and, in an act of kindness that was also intended to be an offering of peace, you gently wiped the tears and dried blood from his face. Aegon squirmed as he had never experienced that kind of care.
“You just have to ask yourself: what do you choose to be?”
For an endless moment he watched you. His judgment was clouded by drunkenness, but he wondered if he wasn't hallucinating and you were simply the voice of his conscience telling him something he had never wanted to accept.
It was easier to blame others for his mistakes, to justify himself by saying that everything about him was his mother's fault and that if he behaved the way he did it was only a defense mechanism. Aegon had never thought about how his treatment of women was a direct consequence of Alicent's upbringing: if his own mother had hurt him, why wouldn't other women do the same to him? And since he was convinced that they were all going to do it, he preferred to turn them into objects that he could use for his benefit.
He was so drunk and so exhausted from all the crying he had shed that he simply pushed your hand away from his face and stood up from the chair, without saying a word. You, now standing, saw him begin to undress and the first thing you thought was that he would seek to heal his sorrows by having sex with you. However, he only got rid of the essentials and then lay on his stomach on the bed. Without any choice, you took off your clothes for the day, put on a nightgown and also lay down on the mattress to sleep.
You were sure that the next day Aegon wouldn’t remember anything and you weighed the possibility of the whole story repeating itself, in an endless and painful loop for the two of you. And if you were right, it would be a shame if you had to live like this for the rest of your days.
FOURTH ACT: REDEMPTION
“Do you know where Meryna is?” you asked one of the maids who had come in to change your bedding.
“No, your grace”
“I'm starting to get hungry and she still hasn't brought my breakfast,” you exclaimed sadly.
You had woken up a while ago and had gotten dressed to go for a walk after eating, to see if this would cheer you up a little. It had been a few days since Aegon had opened up in the privacy of your room and after that you had barely seen him, much less spoken to him. You believed that everything was due to a matter of pride or even shame for what you had witnessed and you simply didn’t give it importance, because you knew that eventually he would approach you again. You just had to wait for him to want to do it.
Almost as if by summons, the black-haired girl appeared through the door, looking agitated and embarrassed by the delay. Furthermore, she came empty-handed.
"Princess…"
“Didn't you bring breakfast?” you asked, still sounding cordial but slightly surprised.
“I'm very sorry, it's just that Prince Aegon asked me to bring the food to the royal dining room. He is waiting for you there, he told me to come and get you.”
He hadn’t mentioned requiring your presence for any breakfast and, according to you, there were no guests in the palace to accompany. The two women noticed your dismay and Meryna stood waiting for a response.
“Did he tell you why?”
“No, your grace”
"Good. Then tell him I'll be there in a moment."
You only took a few minutes to change your dress, one more suitable for being in the presence of the prince and in case there was a guest you didn't know about. There were no guards at your door so you were able to walk to the dining room by yourself and were surprised to see that only your husband was at the table. He had an expression that you interpreted as a mix of impatience and nerves.
“Oh, you finally arrived. Sit down. You, bring the princess something to drink,” he ordered a maid. He used to call you that in the presence of guests, but it was rare for him to have that courtesy when alone.
“Are we waiting for someone?”
"No. I just thought you might want to have breakfast together.”
You were already sitting next to him, and for a second you watched him with a frown. Had he hit his head somewhere or why was he acting so strange?
“Do you prefer juice or wine, your highness?
"Juice"
“And bring her some strawberries,” Aegon exclaimed.
There was something about the situation that scared you, because you imagined that he wouldn't be treating you so kindly without wanting something in return. But you were already his wife and he did whatever he wanted with you, what more could he want from you?
You looked him up and down, as if searching for some sign, but he looked completely normal. He was wearing one of those full black robes he was used to, with a golden chain with emeralds decorating the hem of his neck and a belt accentuating his figure. The dark circles in his eyes were pronounced, as always, but the look was not that of someone angry; you would even say that he looked somewhat passive, even sleepy.
While you were thinking about all that, you remembered the last conversation you had had with him. You feared that madness had finally exploded in your husband and the food you were about to eat was poisoned, as he had suggested at the time. Perhaps out of courtesy he was waiting for you to take the first bite and, trying to control the trembling in your hands, you took a portion of the cold cuts on your plate to put it in your mouth. Luckily the food didn't taste different and after seeing that the man ate it with the utmost calmness, you assumed that it didn't contain any poison either.
There was freshly baked bread, jam, some cheeses, the aforementioned cold cuts, a variety of fruits, scrambled eggs with fresh herbs and chives, as well as some stuffed buns for dessert. It was a mini banquet and as you ate it you couldn't help but wonder why this show of kindness was due.
Aegon didn't seem to have any intention of talking and you didn't try to force him, not wanting to either. The atmosphere was one of peace and tranquility, one you had not experienced since your wedding day until now, and it was a very different but strangely pleasant feeling.
It was just a couple sharing breakfast time, but for two people who come from such a broken home it felt like a totally new experience.
You continued in silence until most of the things served were finished, leaving only what wasn’t to your palate's liking or that your body was simply no longer able to ingest.
“Do you need anything else, your majesty?”
“Clear this table, we won't eat anymore,” he said to the maid, nonchalantly pointing to the leftovers you had left. Then he looked at you “Satisfied?”
"I am. Everything was delicious”
“I want us to do the same tomorrow. I will send a maid for you, so get ready soon,” he said decisively.
Then he got up from his chair, stretched a little, and left the room without saying anything else to you.
You didn't see your husband the rest of the day, but the next morning he kept his promise without fail. Although the breakfast menu was different the routine was the same and again it made you wonder what the reason for it was.
The next day he also requested your presence for breakfast and you concluded that he intended to make it a habit. For the rest of the morning you were supposed to dedicate yourself to your activities, but after a week of following that routine Aegon informed you that he had other plans for you.
“I want you to come with me for a walk.”
"To the exterior?"
"Yeah. I have training with Ser Criston but I don't wish to attend, so you will be my excuse. I'll tell him that the princess wanted to go for a walk and that I couldn't let her go alone."
He was telling you that lie almost like a childish prank and you would swear he was about to smile.
“Huh, okay. If you want it, we will”
You were still confused by his actions, because in all the time you had been there it was the first time he treated you decently. You didn't know if he was still drinking in large quantities, but at least when he went to sleep he no longer reeked of liquor in the same way. And all that week he hadn't forced you to have sex with him.
What had motivated the prince to change his way of behaving towards you?
"Do you want to go to the beach? I will order a couple of horses to be saddled for us” he exclaimed when you had already left the dining room.
You couldn't refuse to go to the bay, because in your entire life you had never seen the ocean and your curiosity was greater than any other feeling. Besides, you loved horses, and being with them might even make you feel better.
Aegon did as he told you and soon enough you were in the stable. He had ordered a beautiful white mare for you, with a silver mane the color of your husband's hair and a formidable build.
You approached to pet the animal, carefully, and tensed completely when you felt another body behind yours. Until that moment you hadn't realized how warm your husband was.
“She's pretty, right?”
His voice sounded at your ear level, as he had also reached out to touch Frostfire’s hair.
"She is"
“I guess you know how to ride,” he muttered under his breath and you let out an offended sigh.
“Of course I do. Highgarden is the heart of the chivalry of the seven kingdoms”
After saying that you turned your head just a little and met his gaze, indigo eyes with hints of lilac looking at you carefully. You could feel his breath against yours and at that closeness your cheeks had already turned red involuntarily.
He separated from you and then went to choose his horse, a black thoroughbred with beautiful braids, to get on it and ask the guards to open the door for you. You almost managed to sneak away, but Ser Criston stopped the two of you just before you could do so, claiming that he had a scheduled practice with the prince.
“I'm taking my wife to Blackwater, she hasn't had a chance to visit since her arrival.”
“But your grace, your father…”
“We will continue with training later, Ser Criston,” he said firmly.
“Will you go to Blackwater without an escort?”
“I will”
"That's impossible"
“Don't worry, I don't want to be accompanied. Just rest for now.”
“But you are the prince.”
"Exactly. I am the prince and I want my orders to be respected."
The boy was a smug son of a bitch when he put his mind to it, just like now. The man had no choice but to obey the words and then the two of you were able to leave. You could get there on foot, but Aegon had felt like riding and had wanted an alternative to quickly escape if something went wrong.
You walked along a path that still belonged to the Red Keep grounds, so there was no great danger of being attacked along the way, and you soon reached the bay. It was even more beautiful up close and as soon as you got off the mare you forgot any courtesy towards your husband, as you rushed towards the shore to watch the waves crash. Your pumps and dress were soaked when the water reached your calves, but it didn't bother you too much because you were happy for the reason.
“Have you never been to the ocean?”
“I'm afraid not, your grace. There was never any business that required me to be on the coast of The Reach and I have always lived surrounded by hills and forests. I had seen some rivers, but…”
Before you could continue your story you staggered because of a wave and to avoid falling you tried to hold on to whatever was within reach, which turned out to be the man next to you. He supported you from the elbows with his strong arms.
“Oh, I'm so sorry.”
“It’s okay,” he laughed. For the first time in your presence, he had laughed “But we should get away from the shore. I wouldn't want to take you back to the castle all soaked”
You heeded the boy's advice and, still leaning on him, walked towards the sand. The sky was slightly cloudy, so the weather was perfect for walking around without any discomfort.
“I've never visited Highgarden, is it as impressive as rumored?” he asked, as he began to walk in the opposite direction of the Red Keep.
Although you never believed that the prince would be interested in such things, you began to talk to him about your hometown with particular emotion. You told him about his surroundings, about the castle and you also told in greater detail the gardens that once belonged to you and were full of golden roses, as was the emblem of your house.
You were surprised by how attentive the boy was to everything you had to say to him and for the first time since your arrival, you didn't feel like a stranger in your own skin. Talking about your home was like remembering a part of yourself, as if you were showing him your insides through stories of the beautiful hills where you had ridden so many times.
“Everything sounds wonderful,” he concluded. The sea breeze had already ruffled both of your hair and he took advantage of this to brush a strand out of your face “Someday I should go visit it”
“Yes, maybe you would like that” you exclaimed smiling. You had come too far and it was time to walk back, towards where you had left Frostfire and Moonshadow tied up “Your grace, may I ask you a question?”
"Yeah"
You opened your mouth to ask him why he was doing all that and why he had suddenly started showing so much interest in you. You wanted to know the reason for his unexpected kindness and his abstinence from activities that weren’t very pleasant for you. But before you could speak, you took a moment to observe him. His skin looked paler in the light outside and his silver hair waved in the wind, however, what caught your attention the most was the serene expression on his face.
Although you couldn't say that you knew Aegon, the time you had lived together had shown you that his personality was extremely challenging. If you pointed out that he was being nicer to you and questioned him about it, he would most likely revert to his old behavior towards you simply on a whim. So no, you couldn't ask him about anything or you'd ruin the minuscule part of a good relationship you had managed to build.
“I was thinking... Do you think we can one day bring golden roses to the royal gardens? Green and gold are part of your emblem too and that would beautify the place. I could take care of them, if you want.”
“That's a good idea,” he exclaimed happily. You had already turned around to return and you calculated that it must be after noon “I will order them to be brought in as soon as possible, in the hope that the hot weather at King's landing will not ruin them”
“I hope not,” you said, although a little less enthusiastic than before.
You had been lost in thought after the appearance of that question that you did not verbalize and suddenly Aegon feared that he had made some mistake. You walked a few meters in silence, until this state was unbearable for his majesty and he stopped you by holding your shoulders. You were about to ask what had happened when he pulled you against his lips, stealing your breath. It was still a rough kiss, but this time less desperate than before. His hands went down to your waist and held you to his body until there wasn’t even a centimeter of distance left, with your belly touching the heat of his stomach.
“Still no signs that you are pregnant?”
You thought that, perhaps, your answer was in that question and that the only thing the man wanted was to convince you to hurry up the matter of producing an heir.
“I'm sorry to say no. It's very unfortunate."
“We'll have to keep trying,” he said, shrugging his shoulders as if he wanted to downplay the matter “Mother insists on it.”
“Has your mother always been like this to you?”
"What are you talking about?"
“It's just… she seems to have everything under control all the time.”
You couldn't be further from the truth and rather than describing it that way Aegon would have said that she was controlling. She wanted to have things under control, but she couldn't and as an example was the eldest prince himself, whom she had never been able to persuade to behave the way he did.
“Well, she is the queen. I guess that's how she must be” he exclaimed without much encouragement. He was still holding you by the waist and was surprised by how intimate that position was. “But we better get back, they must be wondering where we are”
“Maybe they even think I ran away, taking advantage of the fact that you weren't there to watch me,” you joked.
"Would you do it?"
"Do what?"
“Run away”
You looked at the man, incredulous, because it was stupid to think that if you were planning to run away you would just tell him like that. That was the characteristic of it, that it was surprising and hidden.
“Why would I do, your grace?”
“Maybe because I'm a bad husband,” he said quietly. You weren't understanding the game Aegon was playing and it was driving you crazy.
“I wouldn't dare do it. I have nowhere to go and I know I couldn't even get through the doors without your majesty noticing,” you replied.
The prince didn’t want pragmatic reasons like that, but rather his question was more aimed at whether it was your will to abandon him.
Against all odds a couple of raindrops began to fall and very soon a storm had already brewed over your head. It was useless to run, but you did it anyway and Aegon held your hand to prevent either of you from falling due to a trip. Somewhere along the way you lost one of your pumps and at this you began to laugh and he, infected by your joy, did the same. It amused you greatly to think of the face the queen would make when she saw you enter the castle, with her eldest son soaked from head to toe and your clothing incomplete. But you also laughed from the joy of feeling so alive in that moment. You felt like a girl playing in the rain and despite the coldness of the falling water, you felt a certain warmth traveling from the tips of your fingers to your chest.
Although he was sure that you were an excellent rider, your husband insisted on taking you on his own horse to avoid any accidents and you agreed without complaint. His body sheltered you all the way to the Red Keep and once there, under the roof, he helped you down from the chair with extreme care. You didn't think he was that strong until you felt him grab your waist and place you on the floor effortlessly.
“Ask the maids to prepare a bath for you, or you will catch a cold,” he said, putting on your back a cloak he had found hanging on one of the walls.
There was the hint of a smile on his face and seeing him behave like this towards you made you feel weird. You almost felt like he was trying to be affectionate with you, even though he wasn't quite succeeding.
“You should do the same,” you exclaimed softly.
Motivated by the kind moment you had shared, you reached out to brush away the wet hair that had stuck to his face and he shivered at your touch. It was the first time you touched him that way, out of conviction and with care.
“Your majesty, Lord Hand is looking for you. He says he needs to talk to you urgently."
“My grandfather,” he sighed at you, as if wanting to apologize for the words the guard behind you had just said.
He gave the man Moonshadow's reins and then explained that someone had to go get the horse you had left in the bay, so you assumed your presence there was no longer necessary. You were about to leave when he stopped you, grabbing your arm somewhat roughly and looking at you with a feeling that you couldn't decipher.
“I'll go to your room tonight,” he informed.
You felt a little disappointed by the reality of having to share a bed with him, after so long without having done so, but you were grateful that he was at least warning you.
You nodded your goodbyes and he did the same, forming an unspoken agreement. You thought maybe that was why he had been polite to you, so he could get back under your bed sheets. But there was no point in doing it, he wasn't courting you to win your hand, but you were already his wife and he had made it very clear that he could do with you whatever he wanted.
Still a little confused, you were escorted to your bedroom, where you hoped that a tub with hot water and essences would be enough to appease all those doubts that were growing in you.
FIFTH ACT: LOVE
At some point Aegon would get tired of all this, you were sure. But while that moment arrived, you were thoroughly enjoying all kinds of attention you received from your husband. He kept his promise to bring golden roses for the gardens and although the queen wasn’t very happy, in the end they adorned some of the busiest sections of the place. You took that as an act of good faith, so you thought that maybe the thought of repaying him for some of the decency he was showing you wouldn't kill you.
There wasn’t a single breakfast that you skipped, except when the prince was required for political matters or had to travel. You were too proud to admit that you had begun to genuinely enjoy his company, as you still had some distrust due to how temperamental the man was. It wasn't all sunshine and flowers, as the young man still had some outbursts that made you fear him and reminded you that this was who you were really talking to.
His drinking habits hadn’t changed much, since although he was able to handle it during the first week after that period, it was inevitable that he would go back to his old ways and drink an entire jug of wine in a couple of minutes. With sex it was the same, because he continued to fuck you without signs of care and regularly when he was lost in drink. It amused you to think that perhaps that was the reason why you still didn't carry a child in your womb; that he was too drunk when you tried to be of any use.
However, as your relationship strengthened you could notice slight (you almost swore they were imaginary) changes when having sex. He was no longer as rough towards your body as before and tried to thrust into you a little slower, as if he wanted to lengthen the moment and not just unload into you and sleep like a baby after that. Maybe it was just that the drink made him lethargic, but he had even started seeking your lips in the middle of the act or kissing everything within reach of the skin on your neck. You didn't intend to spend much time analyzing his behavior because for you it already represented a victory that he had stopped hurting you after every time you had sex and, honestly, you didn't want to inquire about it. Once again you thought it was more prudent not to question the prince and simply let him continue behaving that way.
Until one night, things looked different for you.
When you heard your husband open the door, quite late at night, and saw him approach your bed, you knew that the same dynamic of nighttime visits would take place. Aegon, already hard as a rock, would kiss you a few times, undress, order you to undress, and then position on top of you to satisfy himself. Needless to say, under the confidence that being in the dark gave you and your husband's lack of interest, you looked away or concentrated on something else while your martyrdom was carried out. He would finish, lie naked next to you, and then sleep soundly with no memory the next morning of what had happened.
Aegon called your name, just to check that you were awake or otherwise wake you up, and you were surprised to hear that his voice sounded quite normal. He wasn't slurring his words like usual.
"Your grace?" you called back, propping yourself up on your elbows so you could look at him.
He did what was expected and as soon as he was far enough away, he started kissing you. You must have known something was wrong from that first moment, when he grabbed your cheek with his wide hand and offered you the most passionate kiss you had ever had. It is reiterated that Aegon was always somewhat careless in intimacy, but this first contact hadn’t felt as impatient as others, but rather was something more careful and planned.
Only one other man had kissed you like that in your life and although the feeling brewing in your chest must have been pleasant, the truth was that it wasn't. You had endured too much abuse from the white-haired man so your body didn't know how to react otherwise. That's why when he continued kissing you for longer than usual and then laid you down meekly, you couldn't do anything but tense uncomfortably.
You were only in your nightgown so there wasn't much difficulty in sliding the straps to the side, almost exposing your tits. Suddenly Aegon lowered his kisses to your neck, where his stubble scratched your skin. Knowing that he would be busy in that area, you turned your head away to focus your gaze on a tapestry on the wall. However, you got a surprise when you felt the prince move away from you and then a bigger one when he took your face between his fingers, placing his index finger and thumb on each of your cheeks to force you to look at him. At first you thought there was anger in his eyes, but after looking at them for a second more you concluded that the feeling was more like that of someone insulted. And why? you asked yourself. What had you done that had offended the prince?
“Why are you looking away?”
His question had a certain aggressive tone, but, at the same time, he sounded hurt. With that you confirmed that he wasn’t drunk or that, if he was, he had drunk just enough to make him feel slightly dizzy. You couldn't tell the way your eyes looked at him, but Aegon interpreted your expression as one of disdain.
Unbeknownst to you, he had his own whirlwind of feelings inside him, one that was driving him crazy and causing him to look you up and down while still holding you. He’d never been like this on another night, so you were at the mercy of knowing how good or bad that would turn out.
Suddenly he seemed upset, you would even say disgusted, and surprisingly stood up from his position. The cold air hit you where he had been before and you sat on the bed to watch him, completely confused by the way he was behaving.
"What's going on…?"
“You don't want this,” he spoke firmly. It was obvious that you didn't want to and you wondered how he had barely realized it. “Not like that… I… no. Not this way"
His babbling confused you even more and when you saw him walk away with exaggerated steps until he left through the door, you couldn't help but feel totally amazed.
What was the reason for what your husband had just done?
The feeling of being abandoned was more hopeless than having him fuck you would have been, and for a moment you even felt ashamed. Maybe he didn't like you anymore or he would just go and cure his frustration in the bed of a woman you didn't know.
He had watched you very strangely and the whole scene wasn't like him. You even pinched yourself just to check that it wasn't some strange dream, getting a moan of pain in response to your question. You thought that perhaps you were acting impulsively, but barely a minute later you put on a green robe over your nightgown and headed towards the door, still not knowing exactly what you were going to do.
“Where are you going, your grace?” the guard on duty asked, putting his voluptuous body in your way.
“Prince Aegon, do you know where he went?”
“In that direction, your majesty. But I'm afraid I must recommend that you return to your room, it is dangerous to walk around the palace at this time."
“But I wish to see my husband,” you said firmly.
The man let out a sigh and then slid to the side of the hallway, leaving you a clear path. Even so, when you started walking you felt his footsteps following you because he probably wanted to make sure that something didn't happen to you. You walked for a while, but you knew it was useless when all you found were locked doors that you couldn't knock on and that you couldn't open either. If Aegon was in any of those rooms, you wouldn't know it. Defeated, you returned to your room and, as expected, found it empty again.
The next morning there wasn’t a single word about that event, but it was present in your mind throughout the day. You had already lived with him enough to realize that something was bothering him, however, upon noticing that he was less talkative during your usual breakfast, you decided to give him time.
You were about to leave the table when he stopped you, asking you to take your seat again and looking at you seriously.
“I have to travel for a couple of weeks,” he informed you. You were surprised to hear that he almost sounded sad “The king is required on some business and since my father can no longer travel, I will have to do it.”
“I hope the entire journey is favorable and the visit profitable, your grace,” you exclaimed cordially. However, your husband didn’t seem pleased with it.
One of his hands slid to hold yours, with a strength that surprised you. There was urgency in his grip, like he needed to hold on to something.
“Is that all you have to say?”
A couple of wrinkles appeared on your brow, as you clearly weren't understanding what he expected of you. Accompanying him would be reckless and you didn't know if he wanted you to keep him there at King's landing.
During those last months something had changed in the man's face, because those eyes surrounded by purple marks no longer saw you with the same aversion as the first time. And it disheartened Aegon that his attempts to please you were yielding no apparent fruit. He was giving you time, effort, and being kind to you like you had said was necessary, but he still couldn't help but feel that you still considered him a stranger.
He had been patient because he thought that, as time went by, you would begin to seek him out or not shy away from his touch. Aegon cared a lot about the physical, so every time he sneaked into your room he did so with the hope that you would welcome him with open arms and give yourself to him willingly. Countless nights he waited in his own room for you to show up to keep him warm and love him throughout the night. But it never happened and a part of him couldn't blame you either.
However, he was already tired of it. He wanted to make it clear to you that he not only wanted to give, but also receive. But forcing you to do anything would ruin everything; you had to want it.
“Have I said something that offended you, prince?”
“I just thought you would say you were going to miss me”
A laugh echoed in your throat at those words and for a second Aegon felt hurt, like you were mocking you. He was going to let go of your hand and walk away, insulted, but you squeezed his hand harder as a sign that you didn't want him to do that.
“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to laugh at you. I just didn't think that if I harbored feelings of that kind they would be of interest to your majesty."
“Do you miss me when you don't see me?” he asked now, allowing himself to be vulnerable in front of you “Or are you glad to have me away?”
You didn't know what those direct questions were about, because you didn't expect that a man like him would be plagued by uncertainty about knowing the answers.
“Not at all. I will always be willing to be with you whenever you want.”
“And you want to be with me?” he insisted.
“I think that what I want is not important”
“But I'm trying to make it so. I thought I was making it clear enough,”
He was angry, but not for the reasons you might think. It frustrated him that he was trying hard to improve and that your eyes continued to see him like that first time. Too many people were already observing him like that and he thought that, perhaps, since you were the most recent to do it, you could also be the first in whom he could manage to modify it.
You, however, were still too confused by his signs. Sometimes his attitude didn’t coincide with the intentions he had, since antipathy was often the only emotion with which he allowed himself to express and feel, accustomed to what he received during all his years of life.
All those months of effort were a direct product of the talk you had had with him, of that moment of weakness in which, instead of ignoring him like everyone else did, you had stayed with him. Aegon was aware that the treatment towards you was sometimes inhumane and he couldn’t explain how despite this you had wiped away his tears with such care, expressing nothing more than an act of integrity. Sometimes he even just imposed things on you to see if he could push you to the limit and he was surprised to see that you endured everything with honor and decency. You were good, something he could never be.
He didn't want to hear anything more and then let go of your hand, feeling rejected again.
"Majesty…"
"It's getting late. I have to go feed Sunfyre so he can endure the trip.”
“Will you travel by dragon?”
“How else would a Targaryen do it?” expressed obviously.
You were silent for a moment and then he stood up, ready to fulfill his obligations. In the afternoon he had already left, without emotional goodbyes or anything like that.
You had those weeks alone to reflect on everything that had been happening. You firmly believed that a cruel and evil person would always be that way, even if they hid it, because humans can’t change from one day to the next. Still, you had to allow Aegon the courtesy of admitting that he wasn't being a complete jerk lately.
You tried to think of any unpleasant moments with him during that week and although you found a couple, you realized that they had all been because of minor arguments or simply that one of the two of you had woken up in a bad mood. The hatred for the boy had been so ingrained in you that now it was difficult to decipher how much of it was due to things that were really happening and how much of it was a resentment carried from the past, at the beginning of that harmful relationship that existed between you.
He was no longer a mean man to you, he just sometimes had those logical slips for anyone who has never been taught to love. He didn't know how to care for you, how to talk to you, or even how to touch you properly. He had always existed alone and could still be seen reflected in his incessant desire for you to be the one to look for him, in his longing to know that you would miss him during his absence and in wanting you to look forward to his return. He wanted you to pay attention to him. He needed it.
One fine afternoon the vision of Sunfyre finally appeared in the bright blue of the sky, with you watching from the huge window of your room. He looked majestic, flying deftly and confidently with the rider above him grinning from ear to ear. Aegon had once confessed to you that he loved to fly on his dragon and he spoke about it with a devotion that completely touched you.
You thought about going to look for him, grateful that he had returned, but you were afraid that your presence would bother him or, in that case, that there would be murmurs about you. You didn't want to seem like a desperate wife so you thought it would be best to look for him at dinner time and in case he wanted to see you before, you stayed in your room all afternoon.
Once night fell, you put on one of your prettiest dresses and went to the royal dining room hoping to find him there, but it was in vain. Luckily one of the cooks had seen him and he told you that he was in his room, since he had ordered that something to eat and drink be brought there.
Determined, you made your way there and took a moment before entering. You hoped that the time away from King's landing had not hardened your lover's character, because it would be a shame to waste what you had built for some time and have to start over, or not do it at all, which would be even worse. Since there were no guards at the door, you were able to push the wood without any hindrance and then you saw it.
Aegon was sitting near the fireplace, his back to the entrance and leaning against a table that had a jug that you assumed was full (or not so full anymore) of wine. When he heard your footsteps he turned slightly and when he saw you, he kept a serene expression on his face.
“Hey,” he exclaimed quietly.
“The maids informed me that you were here” you explained and he nodded.
You noticed that he no longer wore his black doublet with the Targaryen emblem, he only kept the breeches of the same color and a mint-colored linen shirt that left part of his chest exposed. His white hair had some natural curls that fell delicately over her shoulders.
“Yeah. I don't feel like seeing my parents.”
“I understand” you assumed that if he hadn't wanted to see you he wouldn't have hesitated to tell you, so you approached him. Undecided whether you should greet him with a kiss or just stay to the side, you placed your hands on his shoulders and leaned a little to look at him “How was the trip?”
“It was good,” he responded with reluctance. “But my body feels completely crushed”
“Hm. It shows” you whispered, amused. The tension in his body was palpable and that's why you began to massage him, pressing hard just where he needed it. Aegon, feeling your skilled hands doing this, let out a satisfied grunt and leaned his head back with his eyes closed.
Doing that wasn’t something you had planned when you went there, it had only happened out of the heat of the moment and the reality that your husband's body was taking its toll on him for the hours he had spent riding his dragon.
With each passing second Aegon's burden felt lighter and lighter, wondering where you had learned those movements and how your hands were strong enough to exert the right pressure.
"Feel better?" you asked kindly and he nodded immediately, eyes still closed.
Suddenly one of your hands slid lower, towards his chest, to caress him. This time your fingers were light as feathers, sending an electrical current up and down the man's spine under your touch. No whore had ever touched him like that, with that force and at the same time so delicately.
But it was clear that you were not a whore. You were his wife.
“Come here,” he said firmly, reaching out to wrap his hand around your wrist and pulling you directly into his lap.
It was extremely painful to admit that he had missed you. He was physically frustrated because he hadn't dared to take any other woman in your absence. It had been a long time since he had frequented pleasure houses, since his appetite was awakened only by being with you.
What the hell had you done to him?
“The cook told me that you ordered some food, but I only see wine around here. Have you already eaten anything?”
“Mhmm,” he said absently. Your legs dangled to the side and one of his hands came up to your face, brushing your loose hair away from it. The other one surrounded you until it planted itself firmly on your belly. “Still no signs of anything?”
“Honestly, I don't know. The maesters can’t say with certainty… I am sorry”
“What if you are sterile?” the mere possibility of it made you nervous and you wondered what your fate would be if that was the case. Aegon didn't look so worried “What a disappointment for Alicent.”
You didn't know how to take that, because on the one hand it could be that your husband was amused by the irony of the matter and on the other hand it was that he would never have wanted to have children with you. For a moment you thought that the tranquility of the environment had been fragmented by this, but it turned out that the man couldn't care less. He was completely focused on your lips, almost as if hypnotized.
“I trust that is not the case, your grace. Just… it was a streak of bad luck.”
“I guess so,” he murmured nonchalantly. He was still watching your mouth when you spoke “But now I don’t care much about that.”
He carefully grabbed you by the back of your neck and brought you closer to shorten the distance, giving you an eager kiss that took your breath away. The hand that was on your waist pulled you closer to his body, leaving practically no separation between you and him. You could feel the desperation on his lips and in his touch, like he was eager to make you his. And at the same time, he was kissing you like he had never done before: it was sweet, yearning, passionate. You felt like he really wanted you.
He separated from you so you could breathe and, as best he could, he maneuvered to lift your body until he placed you on the table, where it was easier for him to place himself in the space between your legs. You instinctively placed your hands around his neck and wrapped one of your legs around his body.
“I longed for you. These weeks” you finally confessed. You heard him, and felt him, breathe more erratically at this because your words had fallen on him with the force of an axe.
From there, Aegon acted solely driven by the feeling of knowing that you had wanted to see him as much as he had wanted to see you.
His entire body leaned over you to kiss you, with the same urgency as at the beginning. While he did that he grabbed you by the lower back, pulling you until your body collided with his crotch which, if it wasn't already hard, wouldn't take long.
His kisses were clumsy due to urgency and after a while he moved away from your mouth to descend to your neck. Sometimes he left a kiss or two, at most, but this time he seemed to want to take his time. His tongue ran all over your skin, freshly washed, and he spread caresses without restraint. Every place the dragon's lips touched lit up with fire and his hips grinding against you weren't doing much for the blush on your cheeks. Inevitably you began to sigh from so many stimuli, right at the level of his ear, which only motivated him to continue.
As best he could he pulled the laces on the back of your dress and it didn't take long to get rid of the restraints. He slid one of your sleeves over your shoulder to begin kissing that section, the same way he had done with your neck. An indiscreet moan escaped you as your husband bit into your soft flesh and you could feel him smile against your skin.
“You're mine, right?” he sighed brokenly. You had tilted your head back to give him more space and he took the opportunity to lower the entire torso of your dress. “Only mine…”
With the same devotion he took care of your breasts and you couldn't do anything but continue alternating between sighs and some muffled moans. You could feel how he longed for you, eager to be able to kiss every inch of your skin even if it took him the entire night. Suddenly your body had become a temple, an object worthy of worship. The prince continued to distribute kisses that each time descended towards your belly, until with one hand he violently threw everything that was on the table and you ended up lying completely on it. Then he walked away.
You were about to ask what had happened when he took care of taking off your ballerina flats and throwing them somewhere far away in the room, only to stretch your leg up to the height of his torso to start kissing it. No one, not even him, had ever done that to you, so it was natural for you to be dismayed. His kisses moved quickly up your thigh and once he did that, he dropped to his knees in front of you. The skirt of your dress blocked your view and when you tried to get up something made you scream. Aegon had bitten into the tender flesh of your thighs, quite close to your crotch and with more force than he had hit your shoulder. You could only imagine his face when he carefully licked the mark he had surely left on you, once again making your chest exhale a moan.
What he did next and the sensation it caused, you could never have even imagined. That mouth, which most of the time was used for ironic puns and sloppy kisses, was now taking expert care of all of your pussy. Aegon was devouring you completely, touching just where it was necessary to make you squirm on the table. He wasn't careful at all; it was a touch hungry and extremely dirty.
You wanted to hold on as much as you could to keep yourself attached to reality, but it was difficult with your husband eating you like that. One of his arms wrapped around your leg and placed it over his shoulder, probably to give him better access. You had never moaned like that in his presence and it only made him harder and harder beneath the tight fabric of his breeches.
The pleasure was barely getting to your head when he stopped and a dissatisfied grunt escaped you shamelessly. Aegon laughed unabashedly at this, pleased at the control he had gained over you, and then went up again to kiss you hungrily. You couldn't do anything but welcome his salty lips and you moaned against him as he leaned against your body and you could feel his crotch, not knowing if it was your own wetness or his that was present.
He held you from behind and, without stopping kissing you, carried you until he placed you on the bed. You considered it somewhat unfair that your husband already had you trembling beneath him and still hadn't taken off a single piece of clothing, but your complaints were silenced when he hurriedly pulled his shirt over his head and took off his breeches in record time. In the same way, he pulled your dress towards your legs so that a second later it ended up on the floor, along with everything else.
He knelt down on the mattress and spread your legs roughly, lining himself up with your entrance. He began to rub the tip of his member up and down your already wet center and that did nothing but drive you crazy again.
When a delicate, pleading, «please» escaped your swollen lips, Aegon knew it was more stimulating to have you begging for him than to worry about only satisfying himself.
He played with you for a while longer, smiling from ear to ear at the sight of his delicate, pretty wife vibrating from having him close, until he finally plunged into you. For the first time there was enough wetness in you that the stroke felt satisfying rather than painful and both of you let out a delicious moan.
He set the pace, slow at first, but after a while his movements became more desperate. He wanted to get to the core of you, he wanted to fill you completely so you knew that only he could make you feel that way. When his body began to ache he leaned towards you, resting each of his arms on the side of your head and looking directly at you. You had stopped looking away from him, now you were looking at him with your mouth open with pleasure, your eyes watery and your pupils dilated on your completely flushed cheeks.
“Aegon,” you sobbed pathetically, clouded by everything you were experiencing and proving that it wasn't long before you reached your orgasm.
You had never called him by his name. You always referred to him as «your grace», «prince» or «husband», at best. So hearing his name come out of your lips like that, under those circumstances, was too much for him to bear.
Knowing that he couldn't last much longer, one of his hands moved down to rest his thumb on your clit and once there he began to make erratic circles. You closed your eyes, completely seized by pleasure and a couple more thrusts were enough to make you lose the battle. Hearing your whimpers, combined with the way your walls squeezed him, was enough to make him cum too. With trembling legs you felt the warm liquid filling you and, for the first time, it was comforting.
When Aegon plopped down next to you, you immediately missed his body warmth. Both of you were breathing heavily, trying to catch the breath that the orgasm had taken from you. You could clearly feel your heartbeat bouncing off your bare chest and the stinging sensation coming from your crotch and running through your entire body was something you could get used to. Your hair had stuck to your face from the sweat and not to mention your lips, which you felt were burning from your husband's attention.
Aegon had already had many orgasms in his life so this time he decided to turn his gaze a little to see you enjoying yours. The mere idea that he was responsible for your condition made him completely shake.
“You look beautiful,” he blurted out suddenly. You thought he had heard wrong because of the rush, but from the way he was smiling at you, you highly doubted it. “Just like that”
“Like what?”
“Freshly fucked. Well fucked” he corrected himself.
A laugh bubbled up from within you and you blushed even more, if that was possible, perhaps from the nerves and elation of what had just happened. The man stood up a little from his seat and leaned down to kiss you, although this time he did it with a calm and affection that you never thought you would see in him. It was just that he couldn't deny it anymore; from that moment on he would become an open book for you, where you could see all his feelings, desires and fears.
“I don't know why you're doing this,” you suddenly murmured and Aegon pulled away enough to look at you “And I don't know why you've been acting like this these past few months. But I like it. I think it's a good time for you to know."
“You said I could choose who I am,” he said meekly. One of his hands grabbed your chin and stole another fleeting kiss from you. “I haven't forgotten, every word is present in my head. It's just... sometimes it's hard. And I thought I would have a better chance with you, even with the things I did to you when we got married”
You smiled at him and were happy to know that the change in his behavior was because of the talk you once had with him. If he continued like this, ignoring the demons inside him and trying to be better, then your marriage had a chance to become more than just a condemnation.
Driven by the pleasant feeling growing in your chest you reached out towards him to reward him with a kiss. The man's breath hitched when you pushed him to the side and reversed roles, now you being the one pampering him while he was lying down. There was a playful glint in your husband's eyes as you looked at him.
“Do you know this is the first time you kissed me?” he exhaled softly.
You couldn't believe that was possible and for a few seconds you tried to remember so you could contradict him. But every time you remembered you realized that it was always him who initiated the contact to which you only responded, so, effectively, it was the first kiss you gave him out of conviction.
Maybe it was an omen that something good was coming.
Still happy with how everything had turned out, you snuggled into his side, your head resting on his chest while he hugged you and threw a sheet over your bodies. You planted a hand on his bare skin and began drumming your fingers, alternating with small circles made with the greatest delicacy.
You were silent for a long time, you even thought that your husband had fallen asleep until you heard him speak again:
“It's also the first time I'm doing this.”
“Are you talking about sex, your grace?”
“No, I'm talking about cuddling,” he confessed softly, his hand caressing your back the same way you did with him, “And don't call me your majesty anymore. I am Aegon. Or my prince, at any rate. But my is important”
With the affection worthy of a wife, you raised your head to place a kiss on his cheek and assured him that from now on you would call him that in the privacy of your chambers.
Suddenly, after another moment of silence, Aegon pulled you close to him as if afraid you were going to suddenly evaporate. Intending to calm his fears, you climbed until you were on top of his body, hiding your head in his neck so that the distance became minimal.
There was silence for another couple of minutes.
“Do you think I can ever be forgiven?”
Apparently the atmosphere of the moment had managed to soften the boy's heart.
“We can all be absolved, Aegon.”
"And you?"
"Me what?"
“Do you think you can ever love me?” you were quiet for a second, thinking about your response. Then, he added “Or could you at least try? It would be a nice detail for me. No one has ever done it before.”
Not wanting to ruin the mood with a false word you decided to kiss his neck gently and that was enough of an answer for him. He would have to trust in your goodwill and that he could continue to restrain his impulses to keep this newly discovered gem that was his wife. With some luck you could even be that person he prayed for so much all his life, one with whom he could feel safe.
The slowing of the man's breathing revealed to you that he had already fallen asleep and you discovered that it seemed not so bad to find yourself in that position, sheltered by your lover's arms.
Under that scenario, the idea of eventually loving Prince Aegon Targaryen no longer sounded so far-fetched.
