PLUNDER MAGAZINE IS NOW AVAILABLE :)

Plunder Magazine is a sentient being created from time and space. It's pronouns are it/it's/magazine. We run it's account, but in all honesty this magazine just sort of appeared in front of us while we were out on a hike and figured, let's share it.

Because of it's nature, this magazine will always be free. As the name suggests it's made of non original media, and it insists that it must be free for all of time. So free it will be.

If you're interested in weird depressing stories, collages, random references and vintage ads, I guess that this must be the place, for you. Cause you might find yourself in a strange place.

There are no credits or sources given all submissions are anonymous and will always be. So feel free to just throw some shit into the void, it might very well eat it and throw it up in the next addition coming this autumn.

The concept of for profit Zines perplexes me. I honestly can't understand the concept of openly selling what is basically bootleg merch and piracy at a luxurious price.

You know that profiting from fanart is illegal right? That you can get sued for copyright infringement right? That people have been sued for that in the past right? This is why posting commission info in ao3 is prohibited, because the entire site can be thanosnapped from existence if it's proved that people are profiting from fics/art no matter if the profits are for charity or not

The fact that people are so bold to openly advertise their piracy books is perplexing to me honestly

The fact that they're not going for you right now doesn't mean they won't eventually (didn't a bunch of fanartists get irl copyright struck recently at a convention? EDIT: yes it was, look up "anime expo artist alley copyright infringement") fanartists have no legal protection when they're getting money from their fanart, at least be more discrete about it lol

Pixels and Papers are two anonymous comic artists who have been publishing their works online for several years. And if you know anything about publishing comics online....

Which is why we have decided to try and create a digital magazine dedicated to helping small time creators feel a sense of recognition for their work. Advertising for yourself is hard, and we've been there! So we hope to dedicate a small little corner of the internet to giving a helping hand. As you read this we are working hard on planning and designing a digital magazine that will be posted online FOR FREE on the first of January, 2024. The organisators' description below:

We want to send some love and happiness to the world. To share our petite obsessions and revelations. To invite those who draw and write (and read, if you're the double threat) under our common flag. The one that means death (among so many other things).
