So first, it was this edit, and then this art I posted. And now I'm so hung up on this vibe, I guess I had to go with a fic:

The tatami by the sliding doors was covered with a thin sheen of ice. He slid it open, gently, and the frost cracked a little as the panels moved. The man he was chasing sat on the floor, leaning on the slightly raised bed, clutching the futon in his hands. A path of thin ice was leading to the entrance of the room like a trail of spilled water.Kuai Liang’s hunched frame was shaking, his breathing ragged - by just looking at him, you could tell he was weeping, but nearly no sound came from his lips.

When Scorpion came to this point in time, Hanzo Hasashi made one last dying request: Love and Protect Kuai Liang. Lost in this new reality, the young wraith tries to reconcile many conflicting thoughts and feelings: grief, the fear of moving on, and the scariest of them all - who the Grandmasters were for eachother, and what is this new affection he feels for the older man?

At the same time, Kuai Liang is fighting a similar battle - can he really let go of his feelings for Hanzo and accept that he's gone for good?
