Hey, I figured it was about time I sat down and put one of these together, as I have a lot of fics and it can be rather confusing, even for me.

I’ve split them into categories, gen, ship fics and series. I have also linked a few of my cosplay posts.

I am very much ship and let ship.  I realize that not everyone out there ships the same people.  I am too old and too tired to get into shipping wars and discourse.  I have literally about a thousand other things I would rather do than judge someone based on their shipping preferences.  I don’t block or blacklist or go through people’s profiles to see what they ship.  There is no DNI if you ship xyz or if I find out you ship xyz you will be blocked.  I don’t have time for that.  If I don’t like something I see on someone’s feed, I move on with my life.  That said, I’ll give almost anything a read.  I realize that is not everyone’s cup of tea and I respect that.

Hi everyone! I just finished up my 3 year campaign of Rime of the Frostmaiden! Here are the final character portraits for the players, known as The Last Embers

I've been playing and running in a legacy Forgotten Realms setting for ten years now, so I made a lot of changes to this campaign to honor the Players' pasts and potential futures. We have rotating players and DMs depending on the module.

Averik Spellfellow (Formerly Meborg the Goblin): Goblin Scribe Wizard played by the DM of a Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign he ran for all of us ten years ago! Averik was an NPC goblin the Phandelver PCs saved from Cragmaw Castle. He became a wizard in his own right, but not without a massive chip on his shoulder. He journeyed to Icewind Dale to research Chardalyn.

Cormorant Black: 1/2 orc tiefling Rune Knight fighter. She's a scion of PCs that went through the Tyranny of Dragons campaign. Corrie is obsessed with giants and wants to learn as much as she can about them in order to prevent another dragon apocalypse, should the cult of the dragon ever return. She's searching for The Eye of the All Father, but got waylaid in Icewind Dale thanks to Auril's Rime.

Carnelian Black: 1/2 orc tiefling Circle of Stars Druid. Another scion of PCs that went through the Tyranny of Dragons campaign. Carnelian has a different approach to dragons and sees them as creatures that deserve life like any other. They're very self-assured and followed their sister to Icewind Dale to protect her and restore balance to the seasons.

Isabella Quitano: Shifter Ranger / Rune Knight: An artist who incorporates blood into her paintings. In search of new adventures and inspiration for her art, she followed the Black Scions into the unknown.

Ryker Goldheim: Dwarf Rogue/Fighter: Ryker is FROM Icewind Dale, born in the Dwarven Valley but spending much of his life in Easthaven. He left home years ago and became an agent for the Lords Alliance. He's on one last job for Castle Neverwinter: Assassinate a potential threat to Neverwinter's throne. He returned home with the party under the guise of acting as their guide in the Ten Towns.

So based on these players, I added a LOT more giant lore to the bast campaign. For example, the Chardalyn Dragon became the Chardalyn Vonindod (Giant construct, the blueprints were found by Sunblight). The tieflings' mom is a high-leveled cleric of Umberlee, so I also added a bit more to do with the other divine furies as well, particularly Malar and Umberlee.

So yeah! I'm going to miss these jokers. This campaign was a LOT of fun to run and honestly… I'd do it again. Maybe without modding it next time.

Corrie Week Day 2!

Hello! Here is Day 2 for Corrie Week! Today is a more wholesome prompt, "There's Not a Tooka." I had to give Hound some love with this one and send he and Grizzer on a wholesome little adventure. On November 16th 1700 James Macpherson, the famous fiddling freebooter, was hanged at Banff.

Our second musician to meet his maker at the end of a rope, and like the last one, I posted about yesterday, it was an unjust ent. It is also the second post where a gypsy was judicially murdered by authorities...

He is often called the Robin Hood of Scotland, but there is a huge difference between Jamie MacPherson and the legendary outlaw of Sherwood Forest. James MacPherson existed in reality, many of his amazing adventures were real, and he really was hanged, in Banff on this day in 1700. He was just 25 years old. Robin Hood is a made up story.

The legend of Jamie MacPherson survives and grows to this day, his story has been much embellished over the centuries, so if you have heard the story before, and it’s a wee bit different it’s a bit like Chinese whispers, it’s what happens when stories are passed on by word of mouth over time.

Anyway who better to endorse the story than our national bard, as this tale does,have the testimony and approval of none other than Robert Burns. The involvement of our national Bard comes from the fact that more than 80 years after MacPherson’s execution, Burns rewrote the words of the song MacPherson’s Rant, supposedly written by the outlaw himself, that first appeared in print a year after James was put to death for the crime of being ... a Gypsy. That’s right – in Scotland at that time, you could be hanged just for being of the Roma race. Thankfully, we have moved on.

With rather more delicate lyrics than the original, Burns called the song MacPherson’s Farewell, and it has been sung for more than 200 years, the most famous version coming from the folk duo, The Corries.

The song though only tells a part of the extraordinary story of MacPherson, the Highland Freebooter, a supposed outlaw, swordsman of great repute, a musician of note, and composer of the tune that bears his name.

When delving into the story of MacPherson, it is often very difficult to distinguish between fact and fantasy, and yet again Sir Walter Scott pops up, cited as an authority on the story of MacPherson, except that Scott muddled things up and didn’t even get his place of execution correct, stating it was Inverness rather than Banff, but never let facts get in the way of a great story.

It was most certainly in the latter that MacPherson was hanged, and the final part of the proceedings of his trial is still extant. Sadly for MacPherson, the hereditary Sheriff of Banff, one Nicholas Dunbar, was determined to hang him, and pronounced this sentence for doom.

“Forasmeikle as you James McPherson, pannal (the accused) are found guilty by ane verdict of ane assyse, to be knoun, holden, and repute to be Egiptian (Gypsy) and a wagabond, and oppressor of his Magesties free lieges in ane bangstrie manner, and going up and down the country armed, and keeping mercats in ane hostile manner, and that you are a thief, and that you are of pessimae famae (worst repute).

“Therfor, the Sheriff-depute of Banff, and I in his name, adjudges and discernes you the said James McPherson to be taken to the Cross of Banff, from the tolbooth thereof, where you now lye, and there upon ane gibbet to be erected, to be hanged by the neck to the death by the hand of the common executioner, upon Friday next, being the 16th day of November instant, being a public weekly mercat day, betwixt the hours of two and three in the afternoon.”

As William Chambers wrote about MacPherson 170 years later in his Journal, volume 50: “In these old times, the Scottish local authorities went to work in a very peremptory way when they chanced to catch a band of marauders. The whole were summarily tried, hanged and done with.”

So wat did MacPherson do to earn such a fate? He was born in circa 1675, the illegitimate son of a laird, MacPherson of Invereshie, and a beautiful Gypsy woman. His father acknowledged his bastard son, and Jamie lived at Invereshie in Inverness-shire until his father died, reportedly killed by cattle thieves. James was taken into the care of his mother’s people.

Growing up tall, strong and handsome, somewhere along the way he acquired great skill as a swordsman and a fiddler – his fiddle and a replica of his sword can be seen in the Clan MacPherson Museum in Newtonmore. (as seen in the pics)

As a naturally charismatic figure he soon became leader of his own band of Gypsies. When working as tinkers, they were well liked by the common people of the north and north-east of Scotland, but MacPherson wanted greater wealth and soon turned into a “freebooter”, effectively a land-based pirate. He soon acquired the habit of annoying those in authority in various parts of the north east. He and his men were declared outlaws, not least for their habit of marching behind a piper into towns where markets were being held, there to relieve wealthy types of their cattle and other goods, though one anonymous writer claimed “no act of cruelty, or robbery of the widow, the fatherless, or the distressed was ever perpetrated under his command”. He was very similar to a Border Reiver.

Well most of this is the romanticised stuff that’s been embellished through the years, bu, in all probability, but there is evidence that he did distribute some of his ill-gotten gains among his Gypsy folk and the poor. So that’s where the Robin Hood similarities come from.

MacPherson’s band of "merry men" became notorious in a whole swathe of the country from Inverness to Aberdeen, and it was in the latter city that he was first captured and imprisoned. With the help of his most loyal outlaw, Peter Broune, Jamie made a daring escape, and he would repeat that feat when captured again.

In Keith in the autumn of 1700, MacPherson would not be so lucky. The Laird of Braco, Alexander Duff, and his retainers surprised MacPherson’s small band as they attended St Rufus’ Fair, no doubt with a little larceny in mind. Instead they found themselves in a fierce hand-to-hand fight in which one of MacPherson’s men was killed and he himself was captured after, it is said, a woman threw a blanket on top of him from the upper window of a house.

Firmly imprisoned in Banff, MacPherson was tried on November 8th for the capital crime of being an “Egyptian”. Never mind the fact that his father was a Scottish laird, MacPherson was doomed from the outset, and Sheriff Dunbar gave him the unwanted title of being the last man in Scotland to be condemned to die by a judge who gained his office by Heritable Jurisdiction.

In the week before his execution, MacPherson composed his Rant to a tune that he apparently devised himself though it is similar to an old folk tune that was heard in Moray and Aberdeenshire.

It is unlikely that, as legend has it, MacPherson actually played his song underneath his gallows, though a version which states that he broke his fiddle so that no-one else would ever play it has more truth. There is also no written evidence for the story that he was hanged ahead of the set time because Duff of Braco found out a pardon was being hurried to Banff.

The town clock was allegedly set 15 minutes fast and so MacPherson really was hanged before his time. The song was written down within a year, and became popular with the ordinary people of Scotland who took to the story of the man who danced and played his fiddle in the face of death at the hands of unpopular authority.

After Burns made his improvements to the song, and Walter Scott wrote his version, MacPherson’s fame spread internationally. None other than the famous Russian composer and pianist, Dmitri Shostakovich was inspired by MacPherson’s Farewell, one of the two Burns’ settings in his 1943 work Six Romances for Bass, otherwise known as Six Romances to Verses by English (sic) Poets. The other is ‘O wert thou in the cauld blast.

For those that don’t know, after the Russian Revolution in 1917, Burns became known as the people's poet, as his class-aware poems about less-heroic and labouring class subjects strongly resonated with the Soviet regime. Throughout the Soviet years his poems sold millions of copies his songs were regularly heard on radio, TV and in famous films, hence Shostakovich ‘s awareness and admiration of our Ploughman poet.

A final note, based on the fact that in the town of Macduff, where MacPherson was well liked and had the protection of the local laird, there stands Doune parish church which has a clock tower with only has three faces. The side that looks across the Bay to Banff is blank, as seen in the last pic.

Local lore has it that the people of Macduff wouldn’t give the time of day to the folk of Banff, but another version is that the tower was made that way as a gesture of disapproval to Banff for hanging “their” Jamie MacPherson. Even three centuries after his death, MacPherson is still the stuff of legend.

I wanted to draw Gwen and White Malkin! Her cat has been missing for a while so it was nice to draw them together again.

I joined the Magic Mayhem tourney with Gwen and Regi back in 2018, and your character lost their magic if they lost... I knew I had no chance of winning, not bein self depreciating, it just wasn't very likely. Since she was gonna lose her magic anyway, I did a little pre-comic where Gwen wakes up, and her cat and magic are gone... she doesn't say why and gets defensive.

I didn't do comics for a bit after that, but went back to Gwen and Regi's adventures, with Gwen struggling without magic but using her witchy potion knowledge to battle. I wanted for her cat to come back but couldn't figure out a way that would be satisfying for myself and readers. I don't even really fully have rules set for the source of her magic powers or the origins of White Malkin... Maybe a big old exposition dump is required but it somehow doesn't feel right to me-- not that I don't just dump exposition but not really about hard rules and how stuff works. I'd have to figure it out and set something in stone...

The kitty has made a few appearances in my last couple comics, but they were both kinda cryptic and made more questions. They were also easily my least acknowledged comics ever, which made me think no one cares about the dumb cat or my dumb characters. Last year my dad died during the voting for vs. Corry, and there was a lotta bad stuff going on. I was so desperate for someone to comment on the comic, I was proud of it, or anything about the kitty mystery but...

Well in retrospect I should have begged for comments but- it was a rough time, y'know. I just want for Gwen to have her magic back, but at this point it's been so long- seven yrs!-- and maybe she should just never get it/him back. She's doin ok without-- it's just a bummer though! Cards/Fox: Commander Cards was a canon commander in the Star Wars Adventures minigame Card Commander (in which he taught the player how to play the game) and was stationed within the Temple, and separate from the Guard. As such, I truly think he and Fox are each others gossip buddies, with good natured rivalries between the temple troopers and the Corrie guard. If some of those bets result in them falling into bed and “blowing off steam”, can you really blame them?

Alpha-17/Cody: I think this ship is a special case in terms of cloneshipping because of the wildly changing potential dynamic between them.

Meeting in Alpha-17's ARC training program, where Cody's individuality is encouraged for the first time, and the usual hangups of standard issued Clones are thrown out the window, a certain cruel favoritism is born that is just barely hidden behind this instructor/instructee dynamic. Cody and Alpha 17 are toe to toe in terms of stubbornness, which is a bit of an issue considering their borderline diametrically opposed views of their world up until that point./ Alpha 17 has his ruthless realism and willingness to sacrifice anything and everything for the mission, not because of some grand moral reason or care for the good or the Republic, but because those were his orders, alongside a deep seeded belief that he really is not much more than a product (with all the detachment and self denial that brings). And Cody who deep down does everything he does out of a strong belief in justice and the value of sentient life (as long as that life is mostly aligned with the ideals of the Republic, the indoctrination is not easy to escape), truly believing that if he's just competent enough he'll manage to minimize death and destruction and actually secure a future for his brothers.

Cody becomes a better version of himself in many ways during ARC training, and is thrilled despite it all by Alpha 17's honesty, competence and ability to give him a challenge (in more ways than he can imagine), while Alpha 17 physically feels weaker as a result of Rattatak, and also troubled by his new fascination with this specific cadet that feels like he was just sent to make his life more complicated than it needed to be (His attraction to him serves as one more thing he can't control that forces him to come to terms with his own needs and desires. Whether he actually does something about it or just lets it boil beneath the surface is another thing).

It's not quite that healthy of a dynamic, there's a lot of assuming what is best for the other without taking their input into consideration and pushing the wrong buttons at the worst possible times, but they're also operating in a wavelength that the rest of the ARC cadets haven't caught onto yet.

Alpha 17 is simultaneously trying to shape the "perfect" commander to ensure that Cody will survive (He can't begin to imagine a future where Cody dies because of his personal incompetence as a trainer), but also fighting against his own personal desire to keep the flame that makes him Cody intact, both because of fascination and hope./ After Cody graduates the program, he rapidly rises to his status of Marshal Commander and actually has the chance to put his beliefs to the test, letting his work almost completely envelop his time in the process. Alpha 17 feels Cody's absence hit him like a truck and finds himself unable to pretend than he can go back to the way he operated before, he starts preparing to go back into action, because he is at his most certain when he is in a fight.

They barely meet. Cody is too busy, Alpha 17 wouldn't be caught dead asking to talk for non work related reasons, but he at least checks up on battle reports all the time. Eventually he gets back into action, but not tied to any one specific battalion./ Their dynamic at this point has reversed, with Cody being the one giving out orders and expecting perfection from Alpha 17, having a lot of things on the line and balancing lives like they're pieces on a chessboard, and Alpha 17 being the one who has his previous way of operating challenged constantly and learning new things about himself every day (against his will)./ Them butting heads is something that doesn't change, except the stakes are way higher, so the fallout is usual much harsher between them. However the sheer thrill and adrenaline of working beside someone who is so certain in your skills and competence that they would trust you to order them to hell and be back by sunset, and follow through with it, is enough to keep things even a little at bay. In the rare times where they fight together their minds miraculously sync up flawlessly, only until the adrenaline wears off.

Echo/Fixer: Echo and Fixer are so similar in the beginning. Both fixated so much on the regulations and doing everything by the books. But Echo evolves from that, he grows and learns and finds a way to exist after and outside of those and Fixer could lern so much from him, find a way to live outside of the Empire as well. I just think they could be really good for each other.

Echo/Kix: Echo and Kix caring for each other and helping each other. They being there for each other and trying to figute out how to be one of the few clones who survived the Clone Wars and the aftermath of order 66 and the slow decline of the importance of the clones. And Kix helping Echo through the trauma and the aftermath of the torture he endured is just something that captures my imagination and wont let it go./Look, I read this fic one time and it stuck with me, okay?

a bit of a rundown of (no. 1) for you :)

- his name is huw jones, but he honestly goes by ‘no 1’ more than he ever goes by ‘huw’. he probably thrives off the ego rub

- he’s 29 years old physically, 159 years old technically. (24 september 1864) i could get into my lore about how they age, etc. but i feel like that could all be compressed into one giant post.

- however! speaking of an ego rub, though talyllyn is old af (turning 160 this year!) he still has a bit of a ‘princely’ manner in how he carries himself. i think a lot of people would think him to be humble like his rws counterpart (skarloey), but i think the fact that he ran nearly continuously from 1865-1945 is a little bit of a flex if i do say so myself. he wants to be celebrated for that, wouldn’t you?

- he’s got a crazy rivalry with the other engines on the railway, and chewed dolgoch out over the fact that he would rather buy ‘replacements’ (no. 3 and no. 4) from the corris than give him a full overhaul (like no 2 and the volunteers could give him a complete overhaul with 50 GBP, but i digress)

- talyllyn has a lot of old victorian mannerisms. if you enter his room it’s like a time warp, a bit of nursing home core honestly. an old iron bed, floral prints, trinkets, the whole grandma gamut.

here’s a quote from railway adventure that i feel like is really fitting of just…no. 1

- according to railway adventure by LTC rolt (my main ref for no. 1) whenever no. 1 first arrived it was bouncy and wild due to its “horizontal motion” which makes me feel like he’s a lot more brisk than dolgoch.

- huw talks fast, and is a lot more charismatic. he goes “yup… indeed…aye…” in conversation while dolgoch goes “isn’t it?” and “mhm.”

- pre-preservation i feel like that no. 1 was the ‘preferred’ engine. it’s more a headcanon for me rather than fact, but i feel like the reason why no. 1 had so many overhauls in the past compared to no. 2 was because no 1 was the one who ran better after all of the ‘teething troubles’ were fixed.

- to me, even though the two are quite old, there is still a rivalry between no1 and no2 to this day. think a big brother vs little brother rivalry. the ‘i know better’ role, y’know?

Star Wars, Clone-Centric Fic Writing and Recs

The mission was never to bring down the Empire. Not really. The mission was to save every single one of their chipped brothers. But if doing so helped break the Empire’s stranglehold on the galaxy? Well, that was just a bonus.

Fox is compromised. He knows it, his brothers know it, but they'd been keeping a lid on things. They'd been investigating. Except now Fox has yet another hole in his memory and a terrible suspicion that CC-1010 had some something terrible during his most recent lapse.

Beneath the Surface: The Galaxy is a big place, and all of its diverse sentients have their own stories to tell. Romances, adventures, mysteries. For the clones, all too often, they are horror stories. Disconnected one-shots, which so far include the following:

Lazarus: Echo was cold.

Clocking Time: Coruscant wasn’t the same as Kamino. Commander Fox needed to retrain his instincts.

Full Circle: Fox had a terrible, sneaking suspicion that the ‘stars’ in this place weren’t actually stars. They were more portals. One of them had to be the one he needed. He just had to keep trying.

After their canon deaths, the members of Domino Squad wake up on Kamino with their memories intact. Fantastic plot, driven by the slow-burn suspense of a small number of characters with very limited power and knowledge of the future trying to steer events for the better.

And Your People Shall Never Be Destroyed by independent_variables

Kamino's production of the clone army doesn't make sense. CC-2224 keeps digging until he gets his answers. The story is strongly character-driven, and it has extra emotional impact precisely because we're seeing the events through child- to adolescent-aged Cody's eyes.

Something eldritch sets up shop within the Coruscant Guard. The Guard is surprisingly okay with this turn of events. This fic and its sequels/spinoffs swing from genuinely unsettling horror to unexpected humor. I'm glad I ventured outside of my usual wheelhouse and gave this one a try.

How *did* Graffiti get that name?

Okay SO.

Graffiti had some nicknames as a cadet but he never really *answered* to them, y'know? His buddies mostly just addressed him as 57, short for CT-3157. And he was pretty determined to stick with that until he found a name he liked.

Enter his assignment to the Coruscant Guard. The clones there are mostly called by numbers anyway, by the Senators and all, so he doesn't stand out quite as much for having a name that's a number.

And then one day he goes back to the barracks, and Rence's half of their room is absolutely covered in wall paintings. He always knew she was an artist, but this is something of a surprise. Still, they're good friends at that point, so he asks what all the different drawings mean, and which one is her favourite, and all that good stuff.

He also asks her to draw over his side of the room to match. She teases him a little about being all matchy-matchy (he's a bit notorious among the Guard for frequently repainting his armour so it doesn't look scratched at all, which also led to him being nicknamed Shiny because he's still all spick and span). But she's also delighted to have a chance to expand her canvas, so of course she agrees.

While she works over the next few months, he asks even more questions. She's happy to tell him everything. She also talks at length about a certain art style that she's trying to perfect.

One of their superiors sees their newly decorated room and shakes his head.

"Looks like a mess," he says.

"Looks like art," 57 objects.

He gets a note in his file for insubordination but he isn't exactly worried.

Sometimes when he can't sleep, but doesn't want to wake up Rence, he runs his fingers over the murals that he can reach from the inside of his bunk. The dashing raptors. The blazing sun. The warmth of Guard-red armour. So many things they've never been allowed to see but still daydream about.

Sometimes his fingers stop on the words he can't see, but knows the location of by heart. The letters both angular and rounded, neon-bright in the light, and comforting in the dark. It began as a joke, but now when he's nervous, he repeats the words in his mind and listens to Rence's breathing, and it helps.

When you're with a Corrie, you don't have to worry!

No matter where he goes, no matter how many of them are lost along the way, he will never be truly alone. That comforts him. He's never been good at being alone, it makes his shoulders tense and his fingers shake. He much prefers to be with his fellow clones. With his friends. His brothers. His everything.

He decides to carry them with him. Not just the other Guardsmen, but the peace of a midnight mural, and the joy of an afternoon adventure. He decides to be called Graffiti.

Dhole and Fives get along super well.

Ahsoka introduced them to each other. After Dhole almost killed Tarkin for her, she brought him to the 501st barracks where he got to meet everyone. 

Both Dhole and Fives have this sort of crazy sunshine energy, and its hilarious to see them interacting.

Whilst Dhole isn’t much of a prankster (unlike Menace, who is even worse with Fives around), he is a funny lil guy. Him and Fives are so chaotic.

Both Fives and Dhole’s love languages are touch and physical affection, meaning after a long day, it’s very normal to find the two sleeping against each other in a gunship, the landing bay, or anywhere.

“Bloodshot! Have you seen Fives anywhere?” “Sorry, Captain, no.” “I have!” “Where?” “They fell asleep on the fly back, in the gunship. I don’t think anyone woke them up.” *sigh* “Of course.”

When Dhole smuggled Ashling back to Coruscant, he of course had some help. Notably, from Anakin and Fives. Fives 100% distracted Rex to get Ashling on board. Horribly. He was so bad at distracting. But, apparently it worked.

“Hey, Cap!” *sigh* “What is it, Fives?” “Uhm, have you seen my fish, he wandered off?” “You have a fish? Wait, hold up, what do you mean it ‘wandered off’?” “I mean, y’know, it… wandered off?” “Fives, fish can’t walk.” “Uh, this one can! He’s, uhm, a Scarifian walking fish! Yeah!” “I don’t think those are real….” “Oh! Bye, I just saw him walk into that room!” “..... What the kriff?”

Fives loves hearing stories about Dhole’s adventures as a Corrie, and is absolutely obsessed with trying to guess the outcomes to his cases. 

Dhole also loves hearing about Fives’ missions in turn. 

Once, Dhole, Fives, Vector, Xi and Mit all had to do a mission together, as the mission was originally for the 501st, but they also required members of the Guard, and the mission was turned into a small stealth mission. 

It was a very interesting mission, but they did what they were supposed to do in the end, which was rescue a Senator - as usual - but a Separatist Senator who promised to join the G.A.R with supplies in return for safe travel.

“Hey, Fives?” “Yeah?” “The button’s blinking.” “What button, what do you mean?” “The button that means impending doom.” “What do you mea- AHH HOLY SHIT WHAT IS THAT!?!?!”

Interesting times really. I might write that (if someone requests it).

Oh and of course, they had to bring Ashling along, because Fives misses him so much and takes up every opportunity he can to get cuddles with the puppy. 

“Look who I brought!” “ASHLING!!!”

Dhole and Fives are such golden retrievers, I can’t.

But also, throughout the war, they gain trauma and it affects the in a similar way, kind of. They’re both less bubbly and happy. Dhole becomes almost emotionless and stoic, whereas Fives is just sort of… lost.

In the Nay Mets au (I don’t want to make myself any sadder), they both help each other. Sometimes, you need someone just as badly mentally ill as you instead of someone unaffected. So they help each other through everything.

(re: hiatus - as I said when I first went on hiatus, I'm coming back when I hit a total of 50k on the consecutive manuscript of vaniah's story. I've barely been writing. I've written like 2k of it, and a bunch of other excerpts. I don't expect to work much more on it for the rest of this month while I'm busy with the adventures in Narnia - which, by the way, I'm posting to both my AO3 and my FFNET, and would love feedback. find it on ffnet by simply finding the adventures in Narnia collection and the one that's named after a lyric in a carpenters song. but once this is over or I give up with the adventures in Narnia like I do every year, I hope to get back to writing about vaniah and anneka and corrie rose, and then I shall return to tumblr. hopefully before I hit placement in a month and a bit, because that might be emotionally taxing and I might need my emotional support tumblr /j)
