Hi guys! We’ve gotten a lot of questions and requests about our 2019 calendar, and we wanted to take the opportunity to address the questions here. • • First of all, thank you to each and every single one of you that takes the time to not only look at our photos, but to also read our posts and be part of our ever-evolving story. The @instagram community is one that has given us a place to be vulnerable, connect and grow. • • The bad news is that we will not be doing a 2019 calendar — not because we didn’t/don’t want to, but because logistics simply wouldn’t allow it. As many of you know, Maya had surgery this past summer for a torn acl. She was recovering for about 4 months before she could truly return to normal activity, which up until that point had been strenuous hiking, traveling by boat, helicopter and train. We were very limited in terms of traveling and capturing appropriate seasonal photos, and we want to make sure that anything with our names on it is of high quality. We do apologize for the inconvenience, and we hope you understand that we are bummed too! • • Also, we started doing calendars a couple of years ago as a creative, positive outlet that donated proceeds to @projectwildsong and @twloha. Our goal has been to increase awareness about the environment and mental health. Over the past two years there has been a dramatic increase in the number of pet accounts creating and offering calendars in their shop. Because this market has become more saturated, it’s become increasingly difficult to build the same kind of awareness and donate proceeds from the calendars year over year. We are going to take some time to step back and think about our mission, and how we can continue to deliver high quality photos and messages. We WILL have more in store for you next year, you’ll just have to stay tuned. 😉 • • If you do have any feedback for us, please let us know in the comments below.
