Odot Tamat On (Windows, zabnat, 2007)
You can download this weird adventure game from Finland here.
Tips: right-click to examine, drag an inventory item onto something to use it (if you have multiple items, arrows will appear on the inventory cloud for you to click), and (and here's the weird part) to interact with or talk to anything or anyone, drag the main character's hand or mouth onto them.
You can find a walkthrough for the game here.

I don't have a name.
I used to have one, and a lot of people would like to know what it is.
Some call me Trilby, and as a name it suffices.
I've been called many things.
A burglar, a hoodlum, a criminal...
I prefer to think of myself as a gentleman thief.
And tonight, I've something potentially very rewarding in store.
My fence phones me in the middle of the night and asks if I know about DeFoe manor.
Apparently the last of the DeFoe line has died without heirs, leaving all the family values up for grabs.
The lawyers have got the place locked up tight, of course, but that's never stopped me before.
And the place is, of course, deserted...
Yes, this should be a painless and rewarding evening's entertainment.
- 5 Days a stranger Intro.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
20 years ago on this same day 5 Days a Stranger was released, the first in the four game series that is Chzo Mythos, the series that got me into horror games and one of my favorite videogame series in general, I discovered this game way back in 2014 thanks to Patron L's let's play, and like to come back to replay it as well as it's sequels every few years.
They are really great, completely free, and coud run on a toaster, I'll leave a link to the post I did a few years back recomending the games for anybody interested as I also link them there.

The original idea was to mix both images into one, but I didn't like how the cut looked and also it kinda makes it look like the fire part happened first due to being on the left, which isn't the case.
Drawings from the Gif & the original screenshots for comparation under the cut.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first image is of course the Iconic tittle screen, changed the mountains in the back, added more shadows to the mannor and less to Trilby, widened the space since I think it looks better, and changed the doors to the ones you actually see in game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The second image is of course of the ending cutscene as it pararels the tittle screen, added a bunch of police cars as well as Jim, Niccole & the Policeman from the close up cutscene, completley reworked how the fire, the windows and the door look & added a little John DeFoe easter egg. Honestly this is my favorite of the two, I think the fire came out really great, even if the glow looks kinda bad.

Character designs for that Adventure Game Studio experiment I'm still working on, separated by a little over a month of paused work. Whatever skill or emotional vector it is that lets people create video game quest ideas or plot points in a story is so deeply neglected and withered within me that I cannot do something like, "come up with an extremely simple puzzle that does almost nothing but test my ability to create the simplest possible interactions within AGS" so I had to ask @synoddiane to do it for me.

Rhyme a Nursery for MAGS May to 'Sing a Song of Sixpence'
Gotta say, I wasn't familiar with the English nursery rhyme, Sing a Song of Sixpence, until MAGS May, and... I honestly don't know what to make of it. Hopefully that's not also the case for aspiring game makers messing around with Adventure Game Studio, though, as I'm very curious to see what might become of it!

Here is a quick test build of Low Estate now most of the assets are done.
I work back to front because I can't really write narrative and room sequence until I've got enough finished assets to get a sense of what the finished game will look like.
This is a bad way to work, but all decisions just seem arbitrary before I have the artwork so I end up redoing all of the planning anyway once the artwork is made of I try and plan without it.

Old Skies is due to Explore History and Mysteries
Tumblr media
Old Skies release for the time travel adventure game is closing in on Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. All thanks to the creative genius of Wadjet Eye Games, their titles just keep getting better. Due to make its way onto Steam. What if you could travel back in time? Fix mistakes, solve mysteries, or just see history up close? Well, that's exactly what you'll be doing when Old Skies releases on April 23rd on Linux. In Old Skies, you step into the shoes of Fia Quinn, a time-travel escort working for the ChronoZen Time Travel Agency. Her job? Make sure her clients don’t mess up history while exploring the past. Some clients just want to witness history, while others have unfinished business they need to settle. Fia’s mission is simple — keep history intact and deal with any chaos that comes her way. But let’s be serious — when time travel is involved, nothing is ever simple. Old Skies releases you into seven gripping time-travel adventures. Since each is set in a different era of New York City's history. You'll visit the roaring speakeasies of Prohibition, face down gangs during the gritty Gilded Age, and even navigate the tense hours before the September 11 attacks in 2001. Yeah, it’s intense. One of Fia’s first big missions? Solving an unsolved murder that happened just hours before 9/11. No pressure, right? But here's the kicker — death isn’t the end in Old Skies. Make the wrong move, and you will die. But don’t worry—time travel has its perks. You’ll just try again, and again, and again until you get it right.
Old Skies character profile release: Hanna Tanaka

Why You Should Be Ready for the Old Skies release:
Explore Seven Eras of NYC: From Prohibition’s underground bars to the dangerous streets of the Gilded Age, history is your playground.
Mind-Bending Puzzles: You'll need to think in timelines, solving problems that twist and turn with every decision.
You Can Die. A Lot.: But hey, time loops mean you can keep coming back until you figure it out.
Next-Level Graphics: The title looks stunning with 1920 x 1080 hand-drawn art. That’s three times sharper than the indie hit Unavowed.
Epic Music and Voice Acting: Thomas Regin, the composer from Unavowed and the Blackwell series, is back. Plus, it's fully voice-acted with Wadjet Eye’s biggest cast yet.
Meet the Mastermind Behind It All
Dave Gilbert, the guy behind indie classics like Unavowed and the Blackwell series release, has been cooking up Old Skies for nearly six years. It all started as a little time-travel experiment in a game jam, but now it’s shaping up to be his most ambitious project yet. This isn’t just another adventure — the Old Skies release is a love letter to New York City’s history, packed with twists, puzzles, and high-stakes drama. And if you're a fan of Dave’s past games, keep an eye out for some sneaky Easter eggs. So, mark your calendars! The Old Skies release is due to arrive on April 23rd. If you’re into epic stories, time-travel chaos, and puzzles that’ll mess with your brain, this is one adventure you don't want to miss. Along with support for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC, so wishlist it on Steam. Because let’s be honest—what could possibly go wrong when you’re messing with time?

Life of D. Duck 1 & 2 (Windows, Audunsoft, 2006/2008)
Genuinely awesome fangames made in cooperation with outsider artist Bjornar B., based on Disney's duck comics, which are extremely popular in Europe. The second game features more characters from the Disney duck mythos, including a more prominent appearance by you-know-Mc-who. You can download them here.

In case you missed it, I rereleased a game I made in high school while I was figuring out trans stuff. Now that I’m recovering from bottom surgery, it feels like a game I should share with y’all as a touchstone for how far I’ve come.
Planter's Diary
From 2018 to 2019, while I was still in high school, I made Planter's Diary: a feature length visual novel made entirely by myself using the Adventure Game Studio engine. This game represents a personal milestone on my journey to becoming a professional artist and writer, as well as being an incredibly personal work. I was dealing with a lot, having discovered I was a trans woman and working through my feelings about that. In addition, the character of Planter would go on to foreshadow the emergence of my headmate Alice. In short, this is vital Poppet Sisters lore that should be preserved and shared.
This game is incredibly janky in all facets, including art, writing, music, and especially coding. You will likely run into glitches and cringe at how bad the art, dialogue, and songs are. Day 4: The Substitute in particular is one I wish I just cut from the game entirely. I forgive myself for these as I was 17 and working through incredibly raw emotions, but for you playing the game, it might not make for the best experience. I apologise in advance for my younger self's lack of polish.
You'll notice that this is the third edition of the game. This is because the first and second edition included my deadname. No edits to dialogue or art have been made, however an extra scene was added to the 3rd Edition written after I graduated college.
One of the secret areas (there are many) include my old twitter handle. That is no longer valid. You can find me here instead: https://ko-fi.com/poppetsisters
