Fankid Week 2023 Day 6 - Friends / Other’s Kids / Fears

With the end of Ash's journey closing in it inspired me to try and do a pic with Ash and various fankids people have made for him.  I wanted to add many many more kids but I've reached my limit so no more for now!!  I was kind of trying to choose people who gave him bigger families but mostly it was just who I had time to add.

Paul is a very serious boy, very very serious. He’s a violinist, and he’s very good at it. (He started playing when he was 4!) He usually keeps to himself mostly, he’s a lot like his dad in that he enjoys peace and quiet, especially when he’s practicing. When he’s not playing, he’s a very skilled trainer! His type specialty is Poison and his ace is a Salazzle! And despite growing up in a big family, he’s not very good with kids but he does enjoy them! :) He also discovers that he’s an Aura user when he’s like 13 or so!

Aleks is more carefree, he has less pressure on him since he’s not the eldest (but Paul still holds them to expectations!) A real bubbly, dreamer type! He’s an artist, he likes painting mostly!! He enjoys traveling and does commissions to fund his journey! He had a crazy weird dream of a place he’s never seen before- that isn’t even on a map- that he’s searching to find so he can finish his painting of it! Sometimes though, he can get a bit obsessed and won’t eat or sleep until he’s finished a piece!

Cesaire is the third eldest! He’s a very shy boy with dreams of being an Archeologist like his grandpa Brandon! He enjoys hockey, puzzles and music! (He plays guitar!) He’s traveling with Princess Davina, Dawn’s daughter!

Tatianna is the first daughter of the bunch! She’s a Ghost type trainer! She’s very sweet and wants to one day be an Elite Four Member! She’s a bit of a romantic, Tatia loves older movies and has a bit of an obsession with horror movies and all things macabre. Tatia is a quiet, proper girl who is very headstrong and kind with a very big heart!! She’s going to be the new Anistar City Gym Leader!

Roxanne (Roxie) is May’s daughter with Drew, but she’s adopted by Paul (who wants her to have HIS last name because he’s LIKE THAT. He takes being her father VERY seriously.) Her goal is to become a famous actor like her idol Diantha and revive Hollywood, Kanto back to it’s “Glory Days.” Roxie loves sweets and attention, she enjoys spending time with her family but traveling is her true love. A bit on the soft side, Roxie is very kind and a bit of a pushover like her mother once was. She’s also very shy and oftentimes has a fear of leaving the house. She has a genetic disorder that kept her from going on her journey for a few years.

Niklaus… is a hurricane…. The final son of Ash, Paul and May his goal is to become a Top Coordinator and Kalos’ first Kalos King. Nik loves fun, danger and pop music. He enjoys being the life of the group and does his best to always be positive. Nik is charismatic, magnetic and genuinely sweet enough to rot teeth, but when he bites, he bites hard.

Convallaria “Valla” is.. she’s their last and final daughter, she’s born when Nik is 11 (which causes him to throw a fit wkdhdkjd.) She’s a very dedicated trainer, and is the most like her father (Paul). She’s an extremely talented trainer with no plans to make friends on her way to the top. Though, understand her rough, tiny, bitter little exterior, she’s a sweetheart and loves her family. :3

Sorry this took so long!! 6. Do they have any hobbies that their lover finds unusual, odd, or otherwise annoying?

Hmm!! No, I wouldn't say so!! They're all very supportive of each other's endeavors!!

50. If your character confessed love to their crush, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc, what would they say?

So for Ash and Paul, it's.... it's something visceral when it comes to them both realizing they love each other. Paul's always known, and he's shown it in very (non-subtle) ways *looks at JN114* and it just finally happens when they meet again and Paul cannot stand the idea of Ash with anyone else. He just flat out tells Ash that he wants to be with him, letting him know that there's no pressure for Ash to return his feelings. After that, it only takes Ash a few seconds to get intense, heat of the moment feelings and he tells Paul that he loves him back.

Now for May, Ash and Paul, it's a lot simpler. Ash recognizes that he has feelings for May after spending a few weeks with her, and for Paul it's only after he sees just how kind, smart and caring she is. May is initially unaware of their feelings until they both have a conversation with each other and decide that they would like to try to bring May into their marriage. May's definitely skeptical at first, but after a week or so finds that she's growing feelings for the both of them too.

What's May and Paul's dynamic??? Their kid's teams??? Future pairings???

May and Paul's dynamic is one of my very favorite things to think about!!! May is a lot like Ash in that she's very optimistic and bubbly, and it's one of the first thing that Paul notices about her. But Paul meets May when she's in a very vulnerable time in her life, after having Roxie, Roxie being sick, and Drew having an affair with Nini- May is STRUGGLING to emotionally deal with everything.

Paul is.. he is a simple guy. At his core, he has very simple, but set values. His father (Brandon) was abusive, a cheater, just.. not the guy he outwardly presents himself to be. Paul doesn't really think he's a good guy either, but at least he doesn't pretend. He shows people up front who / what kind of a man he is, and he won't stand for anything less. And it really really makes him angry that Drew would do that to May, he doesn't care how it happened- he just knows it wasn't right.

And he feels... responsible for May and Roxie. It literally only takes a week of him knowing May before he is like, willing to burn cities to the ground for her and her daughter. He falls in love with her pretty easily, he enjoys making her happy. Both he and Ash have conversations about asking May to join their marriage, and when she does, he's already made plans to help her assimilate into the family.

They have a very nice dynamic!! Paul, with his intense sense of responsibility, likes to be the man of the house. He makes all the final decisions (but can be persuaded), and takes care of everyone. Ash and May are very happy this way because with Paul in charge, they don't really have to worry about anything lol. If anything is really important, Paul is sure to include them but most of the time they just live in bliss while Paul handles all the heavy stuff.

woah woah woah what happened here! last I checked may had six(?) kids with drew and now she's in a relationship(?) with ash and paul?

Really, this started when an old, *ahem* acquaintance of mine.. drew Nini/Drew! And I really really liked the idea of a relationship between them, of course there was the problem of Roxie and Summer.. So I decided that Roxie's whole.. medical ordeal is what drives them apart? Or at least... drives Drew away..

So, new story is that when Roxie is taken from May and Drew, and they have that restraining order for a few months, Drew does blame May for not noticing that Roxie was sick earlier- and unfortunately most of May's friends ARE also Drew's friends so she feels like the only friends she can turn to are like, Ash and Dawn. Ash, after hearing about this, offers for May to stay with him and Paul while they wait for the court decision on Roxie so she spends a few weeks with them. (And this is actually when Ash and May grow closer, and she tentatively begins a friendship with Paul- but in this stage there's not anything romantic between them!)

However when she does go back to Hoenn when custody is given back to them there's a lot of tension between her and Drew. When May and Drew find out exactly what's going on with Roxie, they find a specialist in Kalos and while in Kalos, they meet Gary and Miette.. and by extension, Nini. Um so while Roxie is taken under the care of this doctor, it does cause a lot of stress between May and Drew. But instead of trying to make it work, Drew starts to hang out with Nini and eventually, unintentionally falls for Nini..

Eventually May finds out and at first she feels betrayed that Drew would just start an affair while she was trying to figure out how to care for their daughter's disorder.. but then she accepts it and does try to make it work with Drew. Unfortunately it doesn't work out and in order to give Drew some space, May leaves Kalos with Roxie.

She returns home to Hoenn for a bit, but is of course, bombarded by questions on why Drew didn't return with her and Ash once again extends an offer for her to stay with them again. And throughout the time of their divorce, May does slowly start to gain feelings for Ash (and vice versa). But they kinda.. dance around each other, especially since Paul is very quiet about his feelings and it takes Ash just sitting down with Paul and saying, "Look. I love you, you are my soulmate, but please do not take this wrong but I have also fallen in love with May. And I'm sorry.. if that hurts you, but I wouldn't ever dream of hurting you so.... before I tell her... I want to know your thoughts." Which leads Paul to be like, "Okay yes, I also.. really like her, but I'm not sure it's love yet but I would like to at least.. pursue this with you and see how it goes."

And then a few years later, they all get married with Paul and Ash renewing their vows. I really enjoy Paul and May's dynamic, um, for my AU.. Paul's father is Brandon, and Brandon was very unfaithful to his wife.. and therefore Paul cannot stand people who are unfaithful to their partners so he feels like.. almost this need to protect May and to provide for her and Roxie.. And he does, he and Ash are very good husbands to May, and they're great fathers to Roxie. Paul actually adopts Roxie and changes her last name so she matches with the rest of his children with May and Ash and she doesn't feel left out...

This.. got super long I'm so sorry!!! If you have any other questions I'm very open to answering!! But uh.. yeah!! So Drew is married to Nini, and has three children with her and May is married to Paul and Ash and has 7 children with them!!
