What A Woman:

Bakugo Katsuki was sprawled out on the couch after a long day of patrols, his arm draped lazily over the backrest as the faint sound of the evening news played in the background.

His hero work had been grueling, as always, but he prided himself on the effort he put in every day. When he heard the sound of the front door opening, he glanced over, expecting you, his girlfriend, to walk in with your usual warm greeting.

But this time, you didn't say a word.

You dropped your bag by the door, kicked off your shoes, and stormed straight over to him. Before he could open his mouth to ask what was going on, you grabbed his face and pressed your lips to his in a fiery, aggressive kiss.

His eyes widened in surprise, his brain trying to catch up with what was happening.

You kissed him like you were trying to steal the air from his lungs, your hands gripping his shirt tightly as if you couldn't get enough of him.

When your lips finally parted, Bakugo was left breathless, his heart pounding in his chest. "What the hell was-"

SMACK!

Your hand came down on his cheek with a sharp slap, leaving him completely stunned.

His head turned slightly from the impact, and for a moment, the room was silent except for the sound of the television in the background.

Bakugo blinked, his cheek stinging, but his expression slowly morphed from shock into something else entirely.

His lips curled into a smirk, his crimson eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that made your stomach flip.

"Well, damn," he muttered, his voice low and gravelly.

You crossed your arms, your lips twitching as you fought back a smile. "That's what you get for ignoring my texts all day, Katsuki."

He let out a low chuckle, rubbing his cheek absentmindedly. "You call that a punishment?"

Your face turned slightly red, but you didn't back down, leaning closer to him. "Maybe next time, you'll think twice before leaving me on read."

Bakugo's grin widened as he grabbed her by the waist, pulling her down onto his lap. "Tch. You're crazy, you know that?"

You rolled your eyes, but the playful smirk on your lips betrayed your amusement. "Too bad, you're stuck with me."

With that, you kissed him on the cheek, got up from his lap, and turned away from him, making your way to the bedroom as your hips swayed side to side as Bakugo watched from afar.

Bakugo sat in silence in the living room for a couple of seconds before he stood up and made his way to their bedroom with his unusual, hungry, smirking face.

"What a woman."

The afternoon sun was glaring over UA’s training grounds, the warmth seeping into Katsuki Bakugo’s skin as he finished his cooldown stretches. His muscles ached in a way that felt satisfying—proof of a training session well spent. He rolled his shoulders and glanced toward the entrance of the training ground, his sharp eyes catching sight of someone he didn’t expect.

You.

You were standing a few feet away, fidgeting with a big box in your hands, your usual confident demeanor replaced by nervous energy. He scowled, not out of irritation, but because his chest felt weirdly tight every time you were around. You were a second-year in the support course—brilliant, sharp, and, in his mind, annoyingly distracting.

“What the hell are you doing here?” he asked, voice gruff as always.

You looked up, startled, and quickly adjusted your grip on the box. “Oh! I—I came to drop off the gauntlet you asked for last week.”

Bakugo frowned. “I didn’t ask you for shit. Hatsume was—” He stopped mid-sentence, realizing something. “Wait, you did the adjustments?"

You nodded, avoiding his gaze. “Yeah. I thought you’d want them done faster, so I, uh… volunteered.”

There was something off about your tone, something hesitant that made him squint at you suspiciously. “You’re acting weird.”

“I’m not!” you blurted, your voice higher than usual.

His brows furrowed deeper. “Tch, whatever. Just give me the damn thing.”

You stepped closer, holding out his gears, but your hands were trembling slightly. He noticed, of course. He always noticed when it came to you. And before he could stop himself, he said, “Oi, are you nervous or something? You look like you’re about to pass out.”

“I’m not nervous!” you insisted, but then, without warning, the words tumbled out of your mouth like a landslide. “Okay, maybe I am, but it’s because I like you. Geez—”

The silence that followed was deafening.

Bakugo froze, the words hitting him like one of his own explosions. His crimson eyes locked onto yours, wide with disbelief. “What?"

You blinked, your own face going pale as the weight of what you just said crashed over you. “Ah! Wait. I mean—”

“What did you just say?” he demanded, stepping closer, his heart pounding in his chest.

Your eyes darted around, searching for an escape route. “Nothing! I said nothing!”

“Bullshit,” Bakugo growled, his voice lower now. “You said you like me. As in, like, like me?”

Your face flushed scarlet. “I… I didn’t mean to say that! Forget I said anything!”

Before he could say another word, you shoved the box into his hands and bolted, sprinting toward the workshop like your life depended on it.

Bakugo stood there, dumbfounded, staring at the neatly done gauntlets in his hands. You liked him. You, the same person he’d been watching from afar for months. The person he’d subtly helped out—gruffly, of course, but helped nonetheless. The person who had a laugh that made his chest feel too tight and a smile that stuck in his mind longer than he cared to admit.

“Shit,” he muttered under his breath, a rare, uncharacteristic smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “You actually like me. Holy shit.”

For the first time in a long time, Katsuki Bakugo found himself excited to chase something—someone.

And this time, he wasn’t planning to let them run too far.

synopsis - in light of a major controversy that causes his fan support to dwindle significantly, katsuki bakugou is forced to do anything possible to garner back the affection of his fans before the announcement of the year’s hero rankings. katsuki has two options: either "date" japan’s most-adored social media star, in hopes of her amazing reputation bringing up his, or kiss that #1 spot goodbye. it’s a no-brainer what he chooses. and it shouldn’t matter at all, right? it’s a fake relationship. nothing more, nothing less

Hands Off:

You sat on the couch, your eyes fixed on the movie playing on the screen, but your focus wasn’t on the plot.

Instead, you kept glancing over at Katsuki, who was sitting stiffly on the other side of the couch.

“Katsuki, are you mad at me?” you asked softly, your voice breaking the silence.

He didn’t answer right away, his crimson eyes flicking toward you for a moment before looking away.

His arms were crossed tightly over his chest, and his usual confident demeanor seemed unusually reserved.

“No,” he grumbled, his voice low.

“Then why won’t you come over here?” You patted the space beside you, trying to coax him closer.

“I’m fine right here,” he replied, his jaw tight.

You frowned, sitting up straighter. “Okay, what’s going on? You’ve been acting weird all evening.”

“It’s not a big deal,” he muttered, still avoiding your gaze.

“Katsuki,” you said firmly, sliding closer despite his attempt to create distance. “Tell me.”

He sighed heavily, finally uncrossing his arms and letting his hands rest on his knees.

His palms were glistening slightly, and he clenched them into fists as if trying to hide the evidence. “My damn hands won’t stop sweating,” he admitted through gritted teeth.

You blinked, caught off guard. “Your hands?”

“Yeah,” he snapped, frustration clear in his tone.

“They’ve been like this all day. I don’t want to touch you and—” He stopped himself, his expression darkening. “I don’t want to hurt you.”

Your heart softened at his words, and you reached out to place your hand gently on his arm. “Katsuki, I’m not afraid of a little sweat.”

“It’s not just sweat,” he said, pulling his arm away. “You know how my quirk gets when my hands are like this. I’m not risking it.”

You moved closer, ignoring his protests, and gently took one of his hands in yours.

He stiffened, his eyes wide with concern, but you didn’t let go.

“Katsuki,” you said softly, looking up at him. “I trust you. You’ve got more control over your quirk than anyone I know.”

He swallowed hard, his gaze flicking between your face and your hand in his. “But what if—”

“No ‘what ifs,’” you interrupted, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. “You don’t have to pull away from me just because you’re worried. We’re in this together, remember?”

He sighed, his shoulders relaxing slightly as he finally let himself hold your hand.

“You’re too damn stubborn,” he muttered, though the hint of a smile tugged at his lips.

“And you love me for it,” you teased, leaning your head against his shoulder.

“Tch. Maybe,” he grumbled, his free hand coming up to rest lightly on your back.

As the movie continued, Katsuki’s grip on your hand grew more confident, the tension in his body melting away.

And though his hands stayed warm and slightly damp, you didn’t mind one bit.

He’ll shout at panicked civilians to “Move your asses, idiot!” but then carry them out of danger with precision and speed. Later, when they thank him, he awkwardly mutters, “Yeah, whatever. That's what I'm here for anyway. Just don’t get stuck again.”

prohero!Katsuki Bakugo who has a signature explosion mark. After saving the day, he always leaves behind a controlled, smoky explosion shaped like his logo—an orange starburst with jagged edges. Kids love it and call it his “hero stamp.” He just did it one time because y/n liked the idea of him having something like a bat-signal, it became like a routine for him.

prohero!Katsuki Bakugo who still has an unspoken rivalry with Deku, and everyone in general, but now it’s about who saves more people. Bakugo keeps a tally and texts deku, “Took down 8 villains today. What’s your number, nerd?”

prohero!Katsuki Bakugo who personally oversees every modification to his hero costume, from grenade gauntlets to lightweight boots. If the support team messes up, he’ll fix it himself, muttering, “If you can't do it right, I'll do it myself.” This causes his support team to work twice harder next time.

prohero!Katsuki Bakugo who has workaholic tendencies. He rarely takes time off, claiming, “Villains don’t go on vacation, so why should I?” His s/o and his entire agency forces him to relax. Needless to say, his s/o alone can convince him. Even then, he’s still scanning news reports for emergencies.

prohero!Katsuki Bakugo who is an emergency quirk strategist. Bakugo has a knack for coming up with split-second strategies in the middle of chaos. He’ll bark orders to other heroes, and while they’re annoyed at his tone, they follow him because he’s always right. Other heroes learned it the hard way one time when they didn't follow his 'suggestion' and ended up making the situation worse.

Sometimes he’ll scribble a quick “Thanks” with a little explosion doodle and hope it’s enough, his s/o would be the one to arrange and mail them.

While he’s not a fan of public speaking, Bakugo attends charity events because he believes in helping beyond hero work. prohero!Katsuki Bakugo who mastered using small, precise explosions for rescues—blasting through rubble without causing harm or creating paths for civilians. It’s become his trademark move, and no one does it better.

prohero!Katsuki Bakugo who's explosive personality makes him a media favorite, but he hates interviews. When forced to participate, he answers in blunt one-liners like, “Villains suck, so don’t do crime.” Although he did receive criticism at the start of hero career because of his brash attitude, but that's all.

prohero!Katsuki Bakugo who knows how to separate his personal life from his career so well that some fans were surprised when he revealed in an interview that he was already married. He proudly showed off his wedding band, telling his interviewer that he was a happy married man.
