y'know every time i feel guilty about bothering someone by singing along when i'm listening to music, i just remember that i have to tolerate my dirtbag brother screaming at his ps5 for hours every day so listening to muffled off-key fall out boy is probably preferable

I'm 95.678% sure that Jinx never hallucinated Ekko. Which is strange because he's grouped with important people from her past yk?

First we have Mylo and Claggor on multiple occasions

Second, Vander, Felica (her mom), Connol (her dad)

Third, Caitlyn and Vi

Fourth, Sevika, Isha, Silco and some more Mylo and Vi!

She hallucinates everyone but Ekko and Benzo. Benzo also not being present trashes this idea right? NOPE! EKKO WAS HER BEST FRIEND???????? WHY WOULD HE NOT BE INCLUDED????? Also Benzo probably was like the least involved in her life, unlike the others listed.

In summary from what I've seen Ekko is like her safe place or something idk. Maybe i missed smth. Not really a timebomb shipper but this was nice.

I actually really love that we see Helena's palpable hesitation about going back to the severed floor. We know that this has all been a publicity thing for her and it's about helping Lumon, so she's really invested in the outcome, but like. from her POV, she's literally letting someone who actively hates her and everything she stands for, and also has a proven willingness to hurt herself if it means hurting Helena, who now knows who she is and her significance to Lumon, pilot her body for 8 hours every day in an environment where they've repeatedly failed to control her. If I were her, I'd be genuinely surprised to wake up with my limbs intact.

You already questioned why on earth she'd come back after Helly's suicide attempt, and the identity reveal explains the reasoning, but on a human level that's still a wild thing to have to think about. This person (who is you but also isn't) almost succeeded in killing you, and like a week later you let them pilot your body again like nothing happened. How could you not be terrified?

#they might play this as like disgust at being an innie or fear of failure or whatever later on but that's how it seemed to me at least rn #like dont get me wrong what helena is doing/supporting is evil this isnt me feeling bad for her im just glad they're actually showing the #reality of how that would feel on a human level and adding that dimensionality to her character. like the mark and gemma thing was more #immediately striking to me psychologically but i feel like the helly helena dynamic has such rich potential. you see how intense and #headstrong helly is and you have to wonder a bit about what she's like on the outside and where this fire comes from and then you see #outside her and its like. oh. of course. there's the exact same intensity and energy its just projected the opposite way. of course someone #like helena would refuse to cooperate and be ready to burn this place down and even end her own life to get at the person who stuck her her #its like the most literal version of the 'the things you hate most in other people often reflect what you fear being/dislike about yourself #idea except in this case you literally share a body with that person #idk there's just a lot there #helly r #severance #severance season 2 #helena eagan

till & clothing symbolism

this isn't anything awfully deep or profound, but i think it's a really interesting connection vivinos makes with till's clothing and his level of rebellion.

throughout (canon) alien stage, we always see till wearing long sleeves and occasionally fingerless gloves when he's outside of anakt garden.

he's shown to be in isolation, collared or leashed in one way or another, in specifically restrictive clothing. and though it's not like long sleeves are exactly restraining per say, it's the visual that matters. the way urak dresses him in everyday life is a visual representation of the control they put over him.

the only time (so far) we've ever seen till wear short sleeves is in round 2. r2, where he rebels against the rules and very principles of alien stage and sabotages his opponent by performing his own song and not letting him sing.

till is the freest we've ever seen him (aside from the meteor shower), unrestrained and proud of himself even when he's punished afterwards. it symbolizes his individuality and the decision he makes for himself in the round. to perform his own song, open up about his feelings for mizi, and guarantee his win despite his blatant rebellion.

but when we see him again in round 6 after mizi's disappearance, he's back to long sleeves and fingerless gloves.

he's lost his will, his fire to fight, and it's blatantly shown in his r6 outfit.

we also see him in long sleeves and a coat in the nightclub scene, and though he acts out he's still overpowered in the end.

his rumpled clothes, while signifying something else entirely (that i won't talk about), are also a testament to his attempt to fight back. one of his sleeves is hanging off his shoulder but it's still on, showcasing the fact that even though he rebelled he ultimately didn't succeed.

on the bright side, till is wearing a tank top in round 7.

i can't say any more but his outfit for the round is confirmed on patreon to be a tank. so, his outfit visibly surpasses that of his round 2 outfit. his freedom at an all time high, his rebellion as strong as ever. judging by the till all-in cover and the fact that the r7 promo says he 'has nothing to lose', i'm really hoping we'll get to see till put it all on the line.
