the beginning of football season was approaching and, despite being the happiest person on earth about the fact that your boyfriend renewed with juventus, you couldn’t help but miss him in the days he was training.

he would come home and then wake up early the morning after and doing it all over again, training, home, bed and training again.

but you wanted to do something for him, knowing he was tired and stressed.

so while he was training you decided to make something cute and romantic just for the two of you. you got a cute nice blanket from the store and laid it on the floor, pillows going everywhere. you got some candles too and the perfumes were already invading the house.

you made his favorite meal and when you heard the front door opening, you knew he was home.

“mon amour” he called you “i’m home!”

“in the kitchen!” you shouted so he could hear you. when he walked into your kitchen and living room, his eyes got stuck to the amazing ambience you created “what…what is this?” he asked, a little shocked.

“this, is for you” you smiled “so now put your ass on the blanket and enjoy the meal i made. we can watch your favourite movie or show” you said and he looked shocked.

“i would love that” he smiled at you and you put on 300, knowing it was his favorite movie “you know, no one ever done something like that for me…you’re the first one” he smiled, looking at you “thank you so much cherie, this is so beautiful”

“you deserve it…you’ve been spending too much time training and i barely see you anymore, i know how tired you must be…i wanted to make something cute for you, and for us too…”

“have you put the movie on ?” adrien asked you, or better, screamed from the kitchen where he was making his delicious roasted chicken.

“yup”.

“perfect” you heard him saying.

you both decided to have a night for yourselves and yourselves only. he didn’t have any games in the current week and you got a few days off from work so you wanted to spend these days together, eating and watching movies and show from your couch.

you set the couch ready, because you were both too lazy to eat at the kitchen table and got everything ready. from the dishes to two glasses of wine.

everything was perfect.

adrien called you so you could help him with the dishes and once you got into the kitchen, the delicious smell of the chicken got into your nose and you couldn’t wait to eat it.

“it looks so good” you said and adrien smirked, looking quite proud of his well made dinner.

when you got set everything you both came back to the couch with your plates and forks, ready to eat your tasty meal and to watch adrien’s favorite movie.

“did you really put on 300?” he asked, a bit surprised. he knew you didn’t like that movie. you were more of a romantic comedy girl so you weren’t a big fan of historical movies but for adrien? you couldn’t care less. you would watch every single movie he wanted to just for him.

“adri, this tastes so good…” you said once you tasted his chicken.

he simply laughed, knowing how great he is in the kitchen.

“just because i made some chicken?” he joked.

after you finished your amazing dinner you helped adrien cleaning the kitchen even if he didn’t want you to move a single finger, because as he said - you were his queen and a queen shouldn’t work - you still wanted to help him, after the amazing dinner he got for the two of you, it was the bare minimum that you helped him around the kitchen.

when everything was done you came back to the couch, watching the big bang theory this time, to lighten up the mood and especially to help you stay awake since you almost fell asleep twice watching 300.

But one day, you woke up feeling sick and realized you missed your period

you were laying on your bed watching the ceiling, hoping you would drift to sleep very soon but it felt like you were trapped as sleep didn’t want to come.

“mon amour?” you felt your boyfriend’s hand on your arm “are you still awake?” he asked with a very tired voice.

you felt guilty because you knew he didn’t like sleeping if you were still awake. and you also knew he had an important match the day after so he needed to sleep.

“it’s okay adri, go back to sleep…” you whispered. you softly turned your head to see that it was past 2 am and that you should be sleeping too.

“nope…not before you fall asleep” he whispered.

“well, it’s gonna take a lot and you deserve a good sleep since you have an important match tomorrow adrien…please go back to sleep…i’ll be fine” you begged him.

he wouldn’t listen to you.

instead he made you move on his lap, your back on his chest while his hands moved on your shoulders, gently massaging them, trying to help you relax.

You and your boyfriend Adrien were currently spending some time in one of your favorite rooftop bars in Torino. Just you and him, sitting on a very comfortable couch watching the beautiful Torino skyline during sunset, it was perfect. Your head on his shoulder and his arm around your waist as you both drank your cocktails. You were talking on where to go these holidays, he wanted to come back to France for a few days and you couldn’t agree more but he was also saying how he wanted to go somewhere tropical, maybe Puerto Rico or Colombia. Adrien was a sun man, but you, on the other hand, wanted to visit some cold places, maybe Iceland and everytime you brought up the topic he bursted out laughing, saying how different but perfect for each others you were. And he was right.

“Mon amour” he called you waking you up from your light day dreaming “as much as I love staying here I should really use the restroom for a minute” he said and you bursted out laughing.

“If you have to go…” you joked lifting your head from his shoulder.

“I’ll be as quick as possible” he said before leaving for the restroom.

It only took ten seconds of Adrien being gone when a man approached you and set on the couch next to you.

You didn’t want to sound rude or anything but the bar was almost half empty as it was a week day and most of the people were still at work or busy with their lives, so you thought, why did he have to sit there?

“Hey beauty” he tried to talk to you but you simply looked away. This situation was making you very uncomfortable and you were mentally counting the seconds for Adrien to come back.

“I’m talking to you” he said again as you ignored him “what a bitch! I’m just trying to be nice to you and your making it very difficult you know I could fuck anyone I want, you’re nothing special” he said laughing a bit and in that moment all you wanted to do was crying but you didn’t want to look or sound weak.

“What did you say to her?” that voice. Right in the moment you needed him the most.

“You heard man” the so-called man sat next to you didn’t even turn his face to see who he was talking to.

“Stand up, that was my seat” Adrien said with a very annoyed voice.

“Chill out man…” he said standing up “…I just wanted to see if the girl wanted to get some, you know, but apparently she’s more of a saint, anyway not my type, she’s not even that pretty” he said but before he could leave Adrien saw his opportunity and punched the guy right in the face. He fell to the floor and Adrien knelt down “if a woman say no is no, don’t you ever forget that! Just because you’ve been rejected that doesn’t give you the right to treat them bad…and, for what you said to my girlfriend, don’t you ever try to speak or even look in her direction again, clear? I’m ashamed to be called a man when people like you exist…what a pity” Adrien said standing up again “…I think we should leave mon amour” he said in a calmer and sweeter voice while he grabbed your hand and led you out of the bar. Once in the car you still tried to process everything that happened ten minutes ago.

“You okay mon amour?” Adrien asked you as he saw you looking out of the window.

“Mh-mh” you said too scared of sounding weak if you spoke.

“Cherie?” he called you with your favorite nickname that made you melt all the time.

“I’m fine…it’s just…” you let a few tears fall and Adrien quickly wiped them away “…I panicked a bit when I saw him sitting next to me and I hate it because I never know what to say or do in these situations…but thank you for being there when I needed you…” you thanked him.

“I will always be there for you mon ange…always” he grabbed your hand and gently kissed it while he started driving back home as he promised you to stop and buy your favourite take away and watch you favourite barbie movie once you were both comfortably laying in bed.

You and Adrien have been together for just six months but it felt like you already knew each other. The moment you met you connected in a way you’ve never thought. He was patient with you. He was loving and caring. He never pressured you into doing anything you weren’t comfortable with. He was funny and kind. Generous with you and other people. Very protective of you. You loved everything about him. He was so sweet and just overall amazing. Everything your ex boyfriend wasn’t.

You came from a very unhealthy and unhappy relationship. Your ex boyfriend was your first ever boyfriend. You got together when you were 20 and you didn’t know how relationships worked since he was your first. You were so in love with him, or so you thought. Carl was his name. He acted nice and sweet on the outside but was very manipulative on the inside. You recognised the signs of your unhealthy relationship when it was too late. He made you do things you weren’t comfortable with. And when you tried to say no he simply wouldn’t listen. Instead he took a liking in beating the shit out of you. The first time it happened he said it was an accident, the second time it happened he said it was his fault, the third time it happened he blamed you everything.

And so it went on, for almost a year.

If you stayed out too late. If you dressed un appropriately. If you wouldn’t cook him dinner after work. But the worst nights were when he was drunk. You had no escape to those nights.

Your opportunity to escape all of that madness came when you got the job you applied for in Torino, Italy. It was a simple job as a tourist guide in a museum but it was your one way ticket to freedom.

So one day, when he was at work you packed your things and escaped.

Once you got in Torino you changed your phone number, your emails. You deleted all of your social networks. Nothing on you.

That’s how you met Adrien a few months later. You were still new in Italy and while you got out of the museum after your shift ended you accidentally pumped into him. He was visiting there with some friends. You apologised so many times he got scared for a bit.

But it was the trauma still living inside of you.

Everything you did was your fault according to your ex.

Adrien decided to offer you a coffee saying that it was okay, he wasn’t hurt or mad at you.

You agreed. You didn’t know why. A stranger asking you out trying to apologise when you were the one that should have apologised. But he gave you a sense of comfort. The two of you became friends. Friendship that didn’t last long because a couple of weeks later you started dating.

The night you told him about your past he was ready to commit an omicide. He was so angry at your ex. Just the thought of somebody hurting you made his veins boil.

But he taught you how to love. Real love.

You moved into his home just a few months later into the relationship. Mostly because you couldn’t go a day without seeing each other, secondly because he became so over protective of you.

He was always checking on you when you weren’t together. You always attended his game in the VIP section so he could have a better look on you. He made you feel safe and protected. You also decided to keep your relationship private since you didn’t want your ex to find you. So except for your friends and his teammates, no one knew about your relationship.

Mistakes were made when during a birthday party Dusan’s girlfriend posted a picture of you with her on instagram. She didn’t tag you because you had no socials, you didn’t even know she posted it, but it took a minutes to go viral since she’s a very famous person.

One night you were home alone. You came back earlier from work because on the weekends museum close earlier.

He was still at practice when he called you to check on you.

“Hey mon amour” he said through your phone “I’ll be home in 20 minutes, do you want me to stop and get dinner?” he asked

Before you sat on the couch you heard your doorbell ring. Adrien came back earlier? It actually happened a few times so you didn’t question yourself and you went straight to open the door.

He took you from the hood of your pajamas and thrown you to the ground with full force.

“This happens when you don’t listen” he said overpowering you with his body on top of you.

“Let me go please please I’ll do anything just let me go…I’ll come home with you please…” you begged with your eyes full of tears

“Nice but no, try again” he said slapping your face so hard you swore you cheek was in flame.

“Don’t hurt me please…I swear I’ll do anything” you kept begging

“Why would I listen ah? You left me” he said now throwing a punch to your face.

Your nose was now bleeding.

You were silently praying for Adrien to come back home.

“You made me look like a stupid man! What a bitch you are! You deserved to be treated like one!” he punched you again and again into your stomach you almost couldn’t breathe.

He was beating you so hard that the both of you didn’t hear a car parking outside.

Adrien found it weird you would leave the front door open so he left the food in the car and went straight into your home sensing something was wrong.

The moment he saw you on the ground screaming and crying in pain he felt like dying.

He didn’t think twice about grabbing your ex from the neck and throwing him on the ground.

Your ex was big but Adrien was bigger.

He started throwing punches at your ex. He was so mad the didn’t even care if he killed him.

“Don’t you dare touching her again!” he shouted “don’t you dare you piece of shit” he kept screaming “who the fuck do you think you are? What a coward!”

“Adri…” it was your soft and fragile voice that made him stop punching your ex.

The moment he heard you he stood up and went to sit next to you.

Your ex hardly stood up because of the beating he took and left your house without saying a word.

Your face was red, your lips and nose were bleeding, you had a few bruises on your arms and stomach and you couldn’t stop crying.

“It’s over baby, it’s over” Adrien tried to soothe you “it’s okay if I touch you? It’s okay if I pick you up?” he asked softly.

You nodded too tired to even speak.

He gently picked you up and put you on the couch. He went to the kitchen to get you emergency kit and he tried to medicate your lips and nose. You couldn’t stop crying and that made Adrien crying too. He wanted to be strong for you but it broke him seeing you like this.

When he cleaned you up he put you on his lap and wrapped the two of you with a large blanket.

“I’m so sorry I didn’t come home earlier” he said apologising.

“Bonjour…” you felt Adrien whispering into your ear while his hands circled your waist. You were still waking up, feeling between dreamland and reality but waking up with Adrien by your side was definitely more than a dream.

“Good morning babe…” you whispered turning to face him.

You smiled when you saw his curly hair all messy into the pillow. He looked like a cute and soft baby in the morning, always needy of love and affection.

“Did you sleep good?” he asked you and you nodded, your smile never leaving your face.
