OC Kiss Week 2025 Day 1 - Desperate

Ok, first off: HAPPY OC KISS WEEK TO Y'ALL! <3

I greatly enjoyed the event last year and sure as all hells wanted to join again, so here we are! This year around, I was granted permission to work with @faewrenbird's lovely OC Adrasta (and a little bit of Yvssek *coughcough*) for the callenge. The setting is our Succubus Au that somehow turned into a polyship situation that works ... surprisingly well for all three of them.

So, featuring Adrasta and Qirilissk, have the first prompt of this year's OC Kiss Week: Desperate~

Summary:

Qirilissk is desperate for some physical contact from his summoner and stumbles over a sweet little surprise while hunting Yvssek down.

Oh dear, does the worm LOVE someone - what a question!

For the longest time, I thought him utterly incapable of feeling any sort of affection towards anyone besides himself. But as we all know, people change and grow … and wouldn't you know it, he indeed found someone (or even more someone's depending on the AU) to fall for.

His main interest lies in @faewrenbird's Yvssek (and Adrasta as of late) but @sumi-sprite's Spinel and @leadfort's Quith are also among the people he could – technically – like. A bit. In his own very special way.

There's also always Vlassk but that would be the most twisted, fucked up thing ever, so let's not go there … yet.

Names for fem!Alastor

I've seen people use "Alastoria", or common given names that start with Al like Alice, but there are so many other options! For example:

Alastor. Who says it can't be unisex?

Aliénor. It was the name of several queens and nobles in the Middle Ages - such as Aliénor d'Aquitaine. A queen's given name seems fitting for someone like her (Variants: Alienor, Eleanor... + Aénor/Aenor/Adénor, the name of Aliénor d'Aquitaine's mother)

Alecto. One of the Erinyes, a chtonic goddess of vengeance whose name means "endless anger". ("Alastor" was one of Zeus' epithets, but as a separate personification, he was the Erinyes' sidekick)

Astoria (I know, it's basically Alastoria without the "Al", but it's also a real name!)

Adrasta Greek goddess of inevitable fate and inescapable punishment

Electra/Elektra, mythological character who avenged her father by killing her mother (+ Electra complex... If Alastor has daddy issues maybe fem!Alastor could have mommy issues haha. Plus it sounds like electricity which creates a fun parallel with Vox whose name means "voice")

Ok, so I indulged a little and wrote a kiss prompt for myself and a friend because I absolutely adore the surprisingly great chemistry between Qirilissk and Adrasta and because @faewrenbird's girl deserves some love as well 💞

Qirilissk's eyes flicker towards Adrasta's.

“What's wrong?”, he asks without pausing his work on her make-up.

Adrasta sighs but tries her best to stay still and not move too much. “Nervous”, is all she says, but Qirilissk knows its far more than just that.

Adrasta isn't just nervous about her date with Yvssek – she's terrified of breaking the fragile, shaky connection the two of them cultivated and build over the many excruciatingly long years they've known each other.

Knows that she's afraid of breaking its trust or pushing things too far too fast; forcing it to recoil and become defensive. Making Yvssek retreat and close up; refusing any more attempts of Adrasta to get closer. To help.

Qirilissk huffs and shakes his head. He doesn't know what she sees in Yvssek. It is stubborn and arrogant beyond words; its ego taller than the biggest skyscraper and its manners are literally non-existent.

… it does look good, though, Qirilissk has to admit. And if it wasn't for Yvssek's sour personality, he might even be interested himself. But as it is, Qirilissk is more than happy to pass this one and let Adrasta have it all for herself.

He hums. “Whatever would you be nervous about?”, he asks and makes a show of looking her up and down. “You are gorgeous. Pretty face, sweet little smile, bright eyes. The best hair in the entire damn city. A body to literally die for – with all the right curves in all the right places. Perfect proportions. Smart and kind and able to stand your ground, if need be. Snarky, at times. Who would say no to you?”

Qirilissk sees a faint blush appearing on her cheeks and a smile tugging on her dark lips, but her eyes turn doubtful. “It did take Yvssek years to agree to a date”, she reminds him and Qirilissk rolls his eyes.

“Yes”, he says. “Because it's an idiot.”

Adrasta snorts at that; letting out one of those lovely little snickering laughs of hers. “It is not”, she disagrees and looks like she wants to go on and start another one of her lovesick speeches about how cool and smart and handsome Yvssek is, but Qirilissk cuts her short. He doesn't have the patience for that right now.

“It very much is or the two of you would already be married and have a horde of ugly, filthy little children screaming and running after you”, he says and makes her laugh again. Which earns him a slap to the shoulder.

“Don't be ridiculous”, Adrasta chides playfully. “I can't marry Yvssek. What about you?”

“I can be the secret love affair you meet on dark, rainy nights in disgusting little motels out of town when Yvssek is having another broody episode”, he easily plays along. He smirks when he gets a sudden idea. “Or the secret lover of the both of you. Wouldn't that be fun?~”

Adrasta looks like she's about to laugh again, but instead grows silent and thoughtful. Tilts her head to the side and furrows her brows. “ … I don't think Yvssek is ready for something like that.”

Qirilissk sighs dramatically. “Yeah. Like I said. It's an idiot.”

Now that, however does make Adrasta snort again, and paints a little smile onto Qirilissk's face as well.

He finishes her make-up, gives her hair a few last touches and then stands back to examine his work. Gives a nod because its flawless. As always.

He steps back and claps his hands together. “There. All done. Now even someone as stupid and blind as Yvssek won't be able to resist you tonight.”

The blush returns to Adrasta's cheeks and she turns to get a look at herself in the mirror. There is a little gasp and before Qirilissk knows it, he's pulled into a warm, grateful hug.

“Thank you so much for helping me out!”, Adrasta says close to his ear and his smile grows. He returns the hug and pulls her close; holding her flush and safe against his chest.

“Always, angel” he says and presses a soft kiss to the top of her head. “And now go get that stubborn prick!”

Adrasta laughs again and Qirilissk is once again reminded just why he loves this woman so damn much.

Synopsis

While taking in the sights of Paris in 1979, the Fourth Doctor and Romana sense that someone is tampering with time. Who is the mysterious Count Scarlioni? Why does he seem to have counterparts scattered through time? And just how many copies of the Mona Lisa did Leonardo da Vinci paint?

Propaganda

even if your not a classic who fan, you have seen moments from this, “wonderful butler, he’s so violent”, “youre a beautiful woman, probably”, “if you wanted an omelette I’d expect to find a pile of broken crockery, a cooker in flames, and an unconscious chef”. The location shooting, iconic, the music, iconic, the plot, so iconic I was once watching something (non doctor who) that referenced it as a fake historical event. Dare I say duggan is the greatest side character of all time. Romana’s outfit, the design of scaroth, the implication time lords can fly. it’s not my favourite overall, but its damn near close, it deserves AT LEAST the semi finals, AT LEAST. If you’ve not seen it or any classic who, go watch it, its so good, one of the best of the era. Also, how could I forget, the most watched episode on broadcast out of all of doctor who, including new who. (yes it was because itv was off the air due to strikes, but im glad its this episode that holds the record) (anonymous)

The Creature from the Pit

Synopsis

The Fourth Doctor and Romana II receive a distress signal and arrive on Chloris. It is a lush and verdant world with only small quantities of metals, all of which are controlled by its ruler, Lady Adrasta. Adrasta keeps order with the aid of her Huntsman and his Wolfweeds - mobile balls of vegetation. A band of thieves, led by Torvin, organise raids on her palace to steal whatever metal they can. But in the mines of Chloris is something huge, a creature thrown into the pit to be forgotten... and the Doctor is about to join him.

Okay this is my first time doing an Ask of someone so hopefully it’s coherent 😂

For the Kiss Roulette, a combo of 1 and 33. It would be so cute to see Qirilissk and Adrasta each giving Yvssek a kiss on the sides of its head/cheeks on its scars. Like Adrasta kissing its missing tentacle while Qirilissk nudges or gently touches a scar on the other side of its head. Both being very sweet and smiley while Yvssek looks shocked or appalled or both 🤣

I know this is three characters and Adrasta has never actually been drawn so if it’s too much that’s okay!

Idk if it would help but these are pretty good ideas/refs of her!

They both pinch your cheek, cooing over you as their enthrallment takes quick hold of your mind and you sink to the floor. “Aw, of course, baby!” Adrastas exclaims, hoisting you up in their arms and giving you the biggest of hugs.

“How could we ever resist someone as naturally docile and obedient as you?” Evangeline smooshes your cheeks in her hands in a loving manner.

Never Not Old

Never Not Old Eileen Way is one of those actors.  We’re reasonably certain, but only just mind you, that she was middle-aged, perhaps even younger, at some point, although we swear we can’t remember it.  And, more importantly for our purposes at this point, Doctor Who provides plenty of evidence to prove the point. There she is as Lady Karela in The Creature from the Pit in 1979, the nasty, wizened spine behind the equally nasty Lady Adrasta.  And there she is again–16 years earlier!–almost at the very beginning, in the middle two episodes of An Unearthly Child as the ‘Old Mother’ in the Cave of Skulls. She even appeared in the second Peter Cushing movie in 1966 as ‘Old Woman.’  Way was born in 1911 which means she was only 52 when Doctor Who came into her life and career.  She wasn’t old.  It just always seemed to be that way. After all it pays to specialize. The new-ish, young-ish HD caps for The Creature from the Pit are now online.
