So I have learned that there will NOT be Weekly missions this season.

Some players complained about waiting for Acts to unlock and needing to come back each week.

...

Those same players are now complaining there's nothing to do this season.

But wasn't the whole reason we got weekly missions was to give players something to do all season long?

I am annoyed about how damn SHORT this week was. It was over before I even realized and now finding out I get nothing next week.

My Weekly show is now gone.

I'm also confused as hell because the Act, which was a prologue, had me going either which way.

We have Eramis in a jail cell, Mithrax and his curse, Eido and her potions, Variks came and went.

And there's nothing to do but onslaught which has voice lines but they're random. Spider pops in with a voice line or two ... For some reason 乁⁠(⁠ ⁠•⁠_⁠•⁠ ⁠)⁠ㄏ

IDK, this season feels very disjointed so far. I'm going to have to watch some videos to try and recap.

How can so much and so little be happening at the same time

I really wish game companies would stop listen to those who content create or no life a games. I feel like games would be more fun if they did. I'm also not counting out this being the after effects of the layoffs.

So in this POST here I talk about how I woke with the theory that Omega is not the fifth enhanced clone but Emerie was.

WELL today a game called 'Star Wars Shatterpoint' release information on an expansion with figures and cards of the Bad Batch.

The cards each have the characters names and CT numbers. The CT numbers are the important part

Now we don't get to see Crosshairs, Echo or Tech's cards, but we know at least two of their Numbers. Crosshair CT-9904 and Echo CT-1409.

We do get to see Hunter, Omega and Wrecker's cards.

Hunter is CT-9901, Oldest boy.

Wrecker is CT-9903, funny enough not youngest

And Omega is ... Omega ... no CT number.

Which brings up the question, who is the fifth enhanced clone?

I laughed at a comment stating that fighting game fans love mk12/mk1.

True and older Mk fans hate this game with a burning passion more than they hate the old mk annihilation movie (and thats saying a lot because that movie sucks) and special forces game alike.

Non mk fighting game fans sure may lioe the game for like....a few months and then get bored. I've seen it,heard it from the grapevine that on average most players dont stay for more then a few min at a tike because it's ridiculously frustrating to get online and boring after a while because there's nothing actually exciting about it anymore.

So.....what are these mysterious players and numbers people keep getting? Why are people lying to save this game?

It sucks. It's been sucking because they knew that they fucked up their whole franchise and series for a quick $$$

I feel they knew after mkX that it was going down the shitter. Nrs and wb spent so much money on a nothing game(suicide squad,that apparently nobody wanted btw) to make an even more nothing game(mk12/mk1,which also nobody wanted,they wanted a remastered game either shaolin monks or mk9 was the most requested)

Like nrs got the money,wb got plenty the money at the time. But nope wasted on poor decisions and poor business practices.

Now they are preying on people's stupidity,short attention spans and the people who have money to throw at this bloated paperweight of a game.

People are either going back to old games. Or jumping ship to other fighting games because of these things.

This is facts and actual reality. Not make believe numbers ceos wanna tell you,or wannabe bootlickers of companies that could care less if their fans hate them so as long as they have their money.

Even bad press is good press to them.

This is the sign of a greedy corp and a capitalist mentality that ONLY money talks.

So yeah...mk12/mk1 is shit but not for the reasons people think. Superficial personal reasons dont really play much of a factor why i fucking hate that game with every fiber of my being.

I absolutely hate it's fans. Specifically the fans of that game in particular. None of the other mk games have made me feel that way. Even when i had problems with mk11,which i did. But seeing how nrs handled mk12/mk1? Yeah,I'll take mk11s problems over that anyday.

Just only mk12/mk1 to me is a hot peice of trash. As well as it's "fans". But again due to the greed and gross business practices behind it. And whenever you actually point out to others about it. Suddenly they have sand in their ears and or can't read or heard. That whole "nahnahnah,cant hear you" type thing.

It's not even about the arguably shitty story anymore. No. Mk12/mk1 is hot Garbage because it singlehandedly convinced it's players it's ok to buy an incomplete game so as long as it's pretty enough and not much work is put into the game to have people keep buying the same game over and over and over just title it differently and suddenly people have amnesia. And only minor bugs and "fixes" suddenly people think this saves the game. No this fixes problems in the coding that should have already been there. You're basically paying for a shitty made game made by lazy people. More likely lazy higher ups but some game devs are lazy too. But some are just underpaid,so i give them some grace. But mr.boon should know better bu now due to the midway days. Mk had it's fair share of crap,im no stranger there. I was there in real time kiddos.

But....now.....they have no excuse but themselves to blame at this point.

Does this mean i will stop playing mk or loving it? Hell no! Does this mean i will be smarter about my purchases from this series and company? Yes. Because out of all the games ever released,movies,tv,etc. Mk12/mk1 is the only game i lothe and the only time i would say truly mortal kombat took a big fat stinky L. Loss. Take it,learn from it.

But apparently they dont want to.

Even the shittiest,most horrible thing to come from mk doesn't compare to how much that game sucks.

But...My rambling aside.

Friendly reminder that it is COMPLETELY NORMAL to feel extremely attached to/have intense feelings for fictional characters.

The human brain cannot differentiate the feelings and attachments we have to irl people from the feelings and attachments we have to fictional characters. Chemically, the feelings are the exact same

More to the point, if a character you love ever gets hurt or god forbid dies, it is absolutely normal to feel genuine grief and hurt because of it. As far as the chemicals in your brain are concerned, you genuinely just watched your friend/partner/family member get hurt.

Your feelings are valid and normal.

As of right now we have a laundry list of reasons souls end up in Hell, and zero for why they end up in Heaven.

The show makes a point to repeat that Lucifer gave humans Free Will. That humans were given it and they chose to sin so that's why they're in Hell.

I don't think it's a coincidence that there's a lot of queer folks in Hell.

You're saying to yourself, "Duh, Christian thinks it's a sin. That's all we hear"

That's all we hear. How queer people are going to Hell for loving the "wrong" person.

You internalize that, even if/or after you accept your sexuality.

What if there isn't any Checklist on how to get into Heaven or Hell? It's just wherever the human THINKS they're going.

Look at Adam, he is the fucking WORST, but he's in heaven. There was probably not a single doubt in his mind that he wasn't getting into heaven even though all evidence point to the contrary.

And there's actually two sinners from Helluva Boss that also points to this theory.

Mrs. Mayberry and Lyle Lipton

When we see Mrs. Mayberry as a Human she is the picture of a perfect, kind, human.

Her students love her, she a excellent teacher and a loving wife, but she's in Hell. For what? Having a psychotic break and killing her cheating husband. A spur of the moment thing that she instantly regretted? For Suicide?

She probably thought to herself, in that moment before she killing herself, that she was a terrible person deserving to go to hell.

Lyle Lipton as a Human was a terrible person.

The show never tries to convince you otherwise. The Imps are even questioning why the cherub are trying to save a man like him.

When Lyle is eventually crushed by the piano, the Imps are convince the Cherubs won and his soul will be in heaven, so is shocked to see him when he bust through their wall.

But he says it himself, "Heaven?! You don't make millions in technological advances in robotics by not experimenting on the poor!"

He knew he wasn't getting into Heaven.

Two people who both should have gone to Heaven, but didn't.

They "Chose" Hell.

Now I don't think this will be the revelation in this season but it is laying the ground work.

We just have to see where it goes.

When I found out that part 3/Itch was gaining a bit of traction, I was initially confused because I felt like it wasn't good. But now, I'm rereading it, and my only reaction is holy shit, wtf I was on when writing it. And now the only thing I can think about is how much part 4/AOSF was such a huge letdown bc wtfff 😭

Oh I'm sad to see people didn't like comic 7, I thought it was very well done.

This isn't an invitation to an argument, I just want to say my opinion because I'm seeing a lot of people criticising the last chapter.

We got a lot of answers and everything that seemed conveniently placed for plot was completely in the scope of how the previous stories have worked before. I thought it was funny that soldier lived in a cave of Australium. It's just as convenient as Medic having a deal with the devil and the mercs being unable to die. Or Grey Mann having a daughter who no one wants to punch in a fist fight. Or Sniper's parents coincidentally being involved with the sinking of New Zealand.

I think it was a very good choice to not let the mercs do anything plot driving in this chapter, because this conflict was never a conflict that could have been ended by the mercs. They wouldn't even have cared, heh. We've known that everything was carefully orchestrated by the Admin, so it could only have been resolved by those who are part of the bigger conflict. Hence Miss Pauling, the Admin and Saxton do most of the plot. Everyone else already had a lot of screen time in the previous chapters, but none of their stories were truly contributing to the actual conflict at hand, so the story can't come to an end until we actually see the person who's been pulling the threads actually come to terms with what she was doing. I'm very happy that her ultimate plan turned out to just be a pointless act of revenge, since we've all known from the start that the gravel wars are pointless. This is just one more dimension deeper into how pointless it is.

Managing to resolve the story and making sure all characters receive a happy end the way they did was more than I had hoped for comic 7. But just to summarise how I think everyone received their peace of mind across all comics:

1. Sniper: Finds out he's adopted -> figures out his step parents were his true family after all

2. Spy: Really wants to tell Scout that he's his dad -> actually manages to say the words, even if he wasn't honest with his appearance

3. Soldier: Delusional hater of commies -> marries a Russian woman and stops claiming racist things, because Zhanna as a person was more important to him than whatever he believed about Russian people. Still weird, not with less delusion but genuinely a sweet father and husband. Exaggerated and maximally silly way of how to actually change people's racist opinions in real life.

4. Scout: Upset that he can't get laid and thinks he has to be More Man -> glows up by becoming a dad who steps up and is less preoccupied with getting the girl of his dreams. His kids are what matters to him now and he becomes like his mom

5. Heavy: Worried about his family in Siberia -> his sisters show him they don't need him to protect them all the time and everyone moves to America so he can be with them. His sisters get to live freely.

6. Engineer: Is involved with the conflict since his grandpa, and is contractually unable to stop it -> tells Miss Pauling to sink all Australium in a trench so this never happens again

7. Saxton Hale: Wants to go back to the time when he was still actively doing things, gets his company stolen -> gets his company back but realises it doesn't make him happy. Leaves his company and joins Maggie again because fighting alongside her was what he's always wanted since we got glimpses of his past

8. Miss Pauling: Thinks the Administrator has a great plan that desperately needs her -> learns the plan was nothing at all and decides on the spot to end it by not giving Admin any more Australium because she realises she has been feeding into the conflict

Medic, Demoman, and Pyro never had a personal conflict to resolve. Medic had his moments to shine by sabotaging TFC and being in hell then coming back. Demoman had his arc with his liver leaving him and defeating the robots due to the alcohol in his blood. Medic scooped out parts of his brain to keep him unquestioning about his eye. Pyro is just a very simple character, and I say that with no judgement at all. Pyro is happy with arson, but also with a Dalmatian as their pet.

Everyone is still friends with each other and have their own little families. They come together to celebrate Smissmass at Scout's place. I think Saxton's last line "or do you want to live forever" was so well placed, being a nod to the meme from Expiration Date, as well as pointing out that, obviously, things have to come to an end we should embrace that ending when we see it's time.

And as always. If anyone doesn't like that any of these things, we are still free to make our own stories and reinterpret characters.

Thinking about how fun it would have been to actually have proper origins and play through Varric’s recruitment of your Rook as a pre-prologue. Not only would it give you a stronger connection to your backstory/faction, but I think it would’ve helped sell that Rook and Varric were supposedly pretty close, which, frankly, there simply was not enough time to establish. Having to explore the fallout of your character’s “big decision that led to their leaving” might have aided in allowing the player to truly identify with any regret Rook may hold with the decisions they made. Truly such a missed opportunity!!!
