No place of refuge: Israeli strikes hit camps in Gaza
https://www.reuters.com/graphics/ISRAEL-PALESTINIANS/GAZA-JABALIA/byprrdygjpe/ Reread the title. How can shooting captives in a prison be justified. If the police / prison guards herded all the prisoners in to a small places and started to mow them down with gun fire, it is about what Israel is doing to Gaza. Hugs. Meet Aditi Bhandari, support character and bookish babe!
Aditi is my newest oc and a supporting character! meticulous and patient yet headstrong and blunt, by day she owns a bookstore by the university that also sells magical items and gear and by night she is a diplomat for the highest ranked magical guild in the magical realm. her powers are sun-based defensive magic and she specializes in brewing potions and spell documentation as part of her diplomatic duties. when she isn't running her business or writing formal documentation, she loves to read spicy novels and cooks.
she used to date Hazel but due to an unresolved issue where Hazel abruptly left without explaining herself, Aditi harbors some resentment towards her. that doesn't stop them from occasionally hooking up, though.

On the northern tip of India, in a small border village called Hunderman, Kargil District on the mighty Himalayas, we Portrait of a Nation team are humbled and very proud to be part of this great nation. From Kanyakumari to Kargil, traveling 10,000 km in a 30-year-old Gypsy over 40 days we continually and consistently were impacted and influenced by hundreds of amazing people and we believe that these beautiful souls make India shine. We thank all who have supported, contributed and encouraged us throughout our journey. 💛💛💛 Photo shot on memorable Lomography instant square polaroid cameras. 1. Internship position: Intern for Invisibilia
2. Hometown/university: Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins
3. Favorite DC spot: Rock Creek Park!! I spent a whole afternoon biking through it once and it is so big and beautiful and you could spend forever in there. If you love nature you have to go!
4. Favorite NPR show, blog or podcast: Not counting Invisibilia? It has to be Tiny Desk. They do such a wonderful job capturing amazing artists in a beautifully intimate space.
5. No. 1 song you’re jamming to right now: Jupiter from Sufjan Stevens (et. al.)’s Planetarium (tbh the whole album is a gem, I haven’t gotten over it yet)
6. Coolest thing you’ve done while at NPR: I got to shadow Josh Rogosin, the audio tech for NPR Music on a day when we recorded TWO Tiny Desks, it was such a fun, amazing experience.
7. Top #NPRLife moment(s): lol well #NPRLife moments happen all the time. Yesterday I got an NYT notification that Anthony Scaramucci was fired, and five seconds later I hear a “Seriously?!” from Sam Sanders’ direction and Meghan Keane is laughing and five other people are talking across the room (and we’re not even in the Newsroom!) But they can be less cliché than that. Last week we had a company wide BBQ complete with motorized helium sharks, which led to a picture of fellow intern Aditi Bhandari and her prom date the shark, which led to a thread of fish related puns on the interns slack channel (“wow he looks fin-tastic!!”). These are the people I work with smh
8. Who is your dream Tiny Desk artist? Sufjan Stevens ofc!
9. What’s next for you? I’m just going back to school! I have two years left and a lot of music to learn.
10. Advice for future interns? Don’t be afraid to talk to people! If there’s some experience you want to have, anyone you want to shadow, just ask! A lot of people here are happy to show you what they do, and you gotta take full advantage of all the opportunities here.
