*Art History - "Hellboy" by Basil Gogos. Gogos does a great job on this character. Since most of his work is based upon existing monsters and Hellboy comes from comic books, he needed his own interpretation to render him. It looks like he didn't use any of the movies as reference since Hellboy's skin is bright red in the movies and never wore that outfit. The character's been out since the 90's so it's quite possible this is older than the movies.
