watching the 1979 special “legend of the superheroes - the roast” featuring adam west’s batman and burt ward’s robin, where, as the subtitle implies, it’s a comedy roast of the superheroes. so all the superheroes are on stage and get harassed by characters etc.

and there is this part where robin is worrying over the fact that he has totaled the batmobile while parking it and he’s incredibly nervous to tell batman.

he tells batman through a game of charades because he’s too scared to tell him outright. when batman gets it he squeezes his hand tightly and threats more violence upon him when they return home.

what have you done with my sweet adam west batman. the one who growled if you hurt one hair on [robin’s] head i’ll—! the one who said i’d give my life for that boy. where is he.
