- did-did Danny really just organize an intervention for Steve? To make him take better care of himself?? I don't know how to feel about this

- Lou really just said "Steve listen to your husband, he loves you" spoken like a true married man

- kinda gotta agree with Dog, not your finest move Danny

- so can we all agree that Danny losing his mind a little over Steve's radiation poisoning is kinda like the whole Steve losing his mind over Danny retiring thing but in reverse?

- I think Steve has never looked more stressed than with this stress counseler person asking him about his sexlife right in front of danny

- awwww now the end of this episode is in my top 3 favorite heart to hearts these two dorks have ever had

- Danny being honest about being scared that Steve isn't taking his radiation poisoning seriously to the point it keeps him awake at night and steve replying that he's scared too but that he doesn't want Danny to change because he loves him the way he is and that he does take things seriously URHGH

- no no no what is going on between adam and kono? My breakup senses are tingling and I don't like it

- I swear the way Adam and Steve's conversation in the car went is so "let's talk about our respective marriages" coded

- hey and come on adam you too? Why does everyone need to shit on the restaurant thing

- haha Steve is mad people he cares about just walk into a dangerous situation without backup - I love how this season confronts Steve with his own behavior

-hmm l don't know how to feel about Lou literally deleting evidence to protect tani, really most of their shady "police work" really didn't age well

- eyyy Danny is back and calls Steve babe within 1 min into the episode? This can only be a good one

- naww Danny is so proud of Steves character development, sure hope he isn't gonna do something dumb and risky and ruin it again

- okay so tani and junior huh? They're definitely gonna be a thing soon aren't they

- the dude was killed because he was hiding from a drug cartel that he snitched on and fled with the drug lords daughter, I swear all these people always have the most dramatic backstories

- aaaand steve is doing the dumb reckless thing, Danny my guy I feel you're pain, he is so done with his shit he doesn't even yell at him anymore

- Danny is such a fucking saint, Steve almost went and got himself killed AGAIN and all he cares about is being last and danny husband of the fucking year just goes "yeah yeah you did well let's get a beer maverick"

- okay tani and her brother are kinda cute in their peek sibling behavior, I feel bad now for calling her a kono replacement, girl is much more than that

ep 9

- damn love Jerry's new haircut

- I will never get tiered of Danny and steve bickering about the restaurant, I know they are setting it up to fail but I genuinely think this could have been a good thing to eventually end the show on, like a retirement thing, but oh well

- aww I love Danny trying to comfort neolani with something Steve told him, only to have it backfire and make him anxious again

- pfffff and tani and junior sit in the far back like literal children

- oh great we're doing the biological warfare stuff again, this should be fun

- so they only have 8 hours to live? sounds like a prime love confession set up to me

- love our respective couples comforting each other, have to say tani and junior are doing a way better job tho like seriously Steve "try not to die while I take this call okay?" that's the best you can do, seriously?

- and of course Danny's all time stress response is to bitch about or at Steve, stellar coping skills all around

-nvm of course it's a fake out, damn it after 7 season why do I still keep falling for this shit

-the little restaurant talk Danny started to distract Steve and himself with was pretty sweet tho

- and of course Steve has to go and needlessly risk himself, so junior has to safe both their ass's instead of him just doing it on his own in the first place

- excuse me people why are there not more fanfics about the crew stuck in quarantine together?? this shit is hilarious and has so much potential for angst!

Almost every time when Danny flies to the mainland, something happens to Steve: he gets injured physically or emotionally. But Danny still has to fly there. He tries his best to reduce his absence, but there is always something that makes him to leave his home and Steve. And every time during the flight to New Jersey and during his time with his family or anything else, he is very nervous. He can't get rid of the tension because he is thinking about Steve. About what might happen to him when he is not with Steve. And he texts Steve every time he is free, waiting for his reply to know that everything is okay.

What if one day Steve lied to him, or just ignored his message, not wanting to lie to his friend. I mean, it is what he did in this episode.

Because obviously Steve loves Danny and he knows how anxious he can be. And Steve doesn't want Danny to worry about him, he doesn't want to ruin Danny's plans, especially when it is something connected with Grace.

Oh, and Adam. Adam knows how much these two love each other, and he knows that they want to know if anything happened to each other. I think, that Adam even might feel like "Danny should know. I would like to know if I was in his place". And he would be right, but Adam doesn't want to go against Steve.

So, back to Danny.

During his time with Grace, Danny worries because there is no reply from Steve, but at the same time Danny understands that their job is pretty time-consuming, so he is almost okay. But then he starts to think whether Steve is lying to him. What if Steve ignores him because something is happening right now and Danny can't do anything to help Steve, because he is here, on the mainland. But at the same time, Danny is thinking that Steve wouldn't lie to him. Because Steve tells him everything. Almost everything. And if there is something, that Danny doesn't know, well, this is either for Danny's sake, or for anyone other's sake. And Danny hates when Steve is lying to him for his own - Danny's - sake. Because he wants to know everything.

So...

When Danny returns home... There is no Steve. Steve is somewhere far away from Hawaii. So Danny understands that he was right. That something happened... And it is so painful to hear these news on phone (maybe from Lou, maybe from Steve), not seeing Steve. His instinct was right. Danny wants to be near Steve, wants to help him. Because he knows how much Joe meant to Steve... But Steve decided that it is better to cope with his sorrow alone. Because Steve doesn't want to bother anyone, even Danny. And despite the fact that he knows that Danny is his friend and that Steve would do the same for him. And he did, by the way. But that is Steve with his trust issues, and now it is Danny who now understands that whenever he will be on the mainland, he won't be able to get rid of anxiety because who knows what can happen to Steve the next time.

And I'm sure that then they will have a long talk where Danny will ask Steve not to lie to him ever again. Because it is so painful that it tears Danny's heart into pieces. And Steve will agree with him. He will promise. No lies. Because Steve, to be honest, also wants Danny to be with him, when he is in pain. He can't ask it directly, but that's what he really wants.

Also, I wanted to mention that fact that Joe said to Steve that it is enough of waiting. "Don't wait as long as I did to find someone"

Like look at Steve's face. Oh gosh, he knows that he found that person. Of course, he found him. All they need is just to open their mouths and speak to each other!

I love mcdanno. But omg steve and Adam. Idk they just seem to look at each other a little too long, even though they were on opposite sides they were never aggressive with each other even in the beginning. They've always seemed a little soft for one another. Now, I don't necessarily ship them but I can %1000 see them cuddling. Adam just looks like he gives such great hugs. He prolly holds on tight and it'd be so incredibly comforting and sometimes that's all steve needs.

You know when you're scrolling through AO3 because you've got this itch to read something specific but you can't really define it? Even less find it, for that matter?

The other day I got lucky and clicked on a fic I have absolutely no idea of how I found it in the first place, but it was perfect: dark, raw and full of angst. It's a short series featuring Steve/Adam of all pairings, but I read it anyway and it was just. So Good. Painful, yes, but so good!

Season 9 final episode is boring. The only scenes that I enjoyed were between Adam and Tamiko. It gave me a craving for tamagoyaki.

After 2 seasons, I still don't really care about Junior. I guess on re-watch his character is bland. Tani grew on me.

I just want to punch Aaron Wright smug face.

I absolutely despise the storyline between Danny & Rachel. This relation is toxic. Nice and fun isn't enough to make it work. Even Steve understands.

I choose to take his body language (crossing his arms) as a sign of his displeasure about that relationship. Steve knows Danny will suffer at the end of it all.

I hate the fade to black cheap cliffhanger. It is overused and cliché.

I will never thank enough the writers of the McDanno fandom.
