Cosmic Neighbourhood is the musical alias of York-based illustrator and musician Adam Higton. Adam’s work encompasses comic strips, collage and sound art and documents the daily goings-on of the forest folk within the realm of the Cosmic Neighbourhood.

Full casting has been announced for The Outsiders, which begins previews at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on March 16th and opens April 11th.

Starring in the show is Brody Grant as Ponyboy, Brent Comer as Darrel, Jason Schmidt as Sodapop, Sky Lakota-Lynch as Johnny, Joshua Boone as Dallas Winston, Emma Pittman as Cherry Valance, Daryl Tofa as Two-Bit Mathews, Dan Berry as Paul Holden, and Kevin William Paul as Bob Sheldon.

The ensemble includes Jordan Chin, Milena J. Comeau, Barton Cowperthwaite, Tilly Evans-Krueger, Henry Gendron, RJ Higton, Wonza Johnson, Sean Harrison Jones, Maggie Kuntz, Renni Anthony Magee, SarahGrace Mariani, Melody Rose, Josh Strobl, Victor Carrillo Tracey, and Trevor Wayne.

The musical features a book by Adam Rapp and Justin Levine and music by Jamestown Revival and Levine, as well as direction by Danya Taymor.

Sony Masterworks Broadway, junto con los productores The Araca Group, American Zoetrope, Olympus Theatricals, Sue Gilad & Larry Rogowsky y Angelina Jolie, estrenan el nuevo tema "Stay Gold" de la próxima Grabación original del reparto de Broadway de The Outsiders - A New Musical: ESCÚCHALO AQUÍ.  "Stay Gold" cuenta con las voces de Sky Lakota-Lynch (Johnny Cade) y Brody Grant (Ponyboy Curtis), con música y letra de Jamestown Revival (Jonathan Clay & Zach Chance) y Justin Levine. El videoclip que lo acompaña está protagonizado por Sky y Brody en el estudio de grabación, intercalado con imágenes del memorable viaje del reparto a Tulsa, Oklahoma, también conocido como el lugar de nacimiento de The Outsiders: MÍRALO AQUÍ.

El estreno en Broadway de The Outsiders, el nuevo musical basado en la novela de S.E. Hinton y la emblemática película de Francis Ford Coppola, arrancó el sábado 16 de marzo, antes de su estreno el jueves 11 de abril en el Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street, NYC).

En Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1967, Ponyboy Curtis, su mejor amigo Johnny Cade y su familia Greaser de "marginados" luchan contra sus rivales acomodados, los Socs. Este emocionante nuevo musical de Broadway navega por las complejidades del autodescubrimiento mientras los Greasers sueñan en quién quieren convertirse en un mundo que quizá nunca los acepte. Das neue Cosmic Neighbourhood-Album "Gatherings" erscheint am 28. Juli digital über Heavenly!

Cosmic Neighbourhood ist das musikalische Pseudonym des Illustrators und Musikers Adam Higton aus York, dessen Arbeit unter anderem Comicstrips, Collagen und Klangkunst umfasst. "Gatherings" ist der mittlerweile fünfe Longplayer von Higton, der auf die kleine Songsammlung "All for Fall" aus 2021 folgt.

"Gatherings" ist ein Album, das für wilde Fantasien und tiefe Tagträume gemacht ist. Es ist die Musik der kleinen Dinge, groovige Klänge aus dem Untergrund, die von Martin Rev und Moondog ebenso inspiriert sind wie von Bäumen und Tannenzapfen, nächtlichen Symphonien auf dem Bauernhof und den Bewegungen von Schmetterlingen, die durch unruhige Drum-Maschinen neu interpretiert werden.

“Elf Trip is a short tale of three elves exploring of the world outside their tree house, a paper cut adventure - riding on fish, sliding through tunnels underground and dancing around a fire”, erzählt Higton über die aktuelle Single "Elf Trip". “This was made by clocking synths, samplers and drum machines, I was trying to create something rhythmic, inspired by Michael Rother.“

Cosmic Neighbourhood - Library Vol 1 - keeping the Hauntology flame alight (Kit Records)

Adam Higton presents his first collection of library music. Encompassing comic strips, collage and sound art, York-based illustrator and musician Adam Higton's work documents the daily goings-on of the forest folk within the realm of the Cosmic Neighbourhood. In classic Higton style, this new 10" sees songs acting in response to a series of paper-and-scissors compositions. Sonically, these recordings straddle new and old, taking modular electronics, flutes, bells and softly pattering drum machines, before colouring them all with the amber glow of some forgotten, psychedelic kids' TV programme. Higton's benign toots and echoing jingles bring to mind Daphne Oram's early delay experiments or the meandering playfulness of Tom Cameron. Radiophonic and time-worn, it still somehow sounds like the future.
