plots inspired by my "halloween" playlist

Here are four roleplay plot ideas, inspired by songs from my seasonal playlist, particularly about ghosts & vampires.

HAMMER HORROR - Kate Bush Muse A was an actor, who died during the filming/production of something suitably spooky. Muse B has been cast as their replacement, but finds themselves haunted by visions of A. This plot could take place in a theatre or on a film set. Maybe even a spooky reality tv show, if you're really adventurous with it. Perhaps, you wish to include a co-star as Muse C, who would've known A. Maybe you wish to omit A as an active character and leave the reality of the spectre ambiguous. Is A a malicious or a tragic and benevolent spirit?

CLINT EASTWOOD - Gorillaz Muses A and B were always incredibly close, to the point where only death could separate them. Only, once A died, they decided to stick around with B as a ghost. Now sharing a body, A is able to possess B's body and provide their unique skillset beyond the grave, or use B's body as a vessel. Maybe B is a musician, and A provides vocal talents. Perhaps A was an incredible fighter, or an actor, or some just an amazing driver. Whatever it might be, death can't seem to separate this particular double act.

Decode - Paramore Muses A and B are caught in a game of romantic cat and mouse. A is human, and since they met the elusive and mysterious B, they've found themselves constantly drawn together. By putting up their own guards and walls, can A work out who and what B is? Or perhaps these walls will break down and they'll just make fools of themselves?

VAMPIRES WILL NEVER HURT YOU - My Chemical Romance Muses A and B are vampire hunters who have a close, if tense relationship (could be romantic, platonic or even familial). This is honestly a pretty good setup for them, but everything changes when A gets bitten. A has always been adamant that if they ever got bitten, they'd want to be killed, but B can't bring themselves to do that to someone they love. Can B find a cure for A in time? Is A mad at B for not carrying through on their verbal contract? What if A adjusts to living as a vampire?

Where are you from? What is your time zone? I’m from the Midwest, but I live in EST now. 

How long is your roleplay experience? I said 8 years last time, so it must be around 9 years now.  

How were you introduced to roleplaying as a whole? I had a friend with an OC on Wattpad and we’d have them interact in comment sections. 

How were you introduced to TOA? I’ve told the story many times, but I pulled Reyson in Heroes and I thought he was an angel. Imagine my surprise when he turned into a bird. I started researching him and fell in love with his character, and saw he was open in TOA. Decided to take the leap and join, and I’ve been here three years since! 

Do you have any pets? My parents have 4 wonderful Adam Driver cats, but I just have one fish. Her name is Deirdre and I post about her biting me often. 

What is your favorite time of year and why? (Season, holiday, general period) Halloween!!! I love dressing up and I love silly parties and I love the chillier weather. 

What is your IRL occupation? Full time college student. I’m studying playwriting! 

Some interests and things you like/enjoy? I research vocalsynth history at any chance I get. I collect both voicebanks and various Miku merch. I play a lot of D+D, and I’m a birdwatcher. 

What non-Fire Emblem games do you play? Been grinding my way through BG3 recently. I also play a lot of rhythm games, my favorites being Project Diva and Sekai. 

Favorite Pokemon type & Pokemon: My favorite type is flying, and my favorite pokemon is Alteria. 

Tell us some funfacts and trivia about yourself! (Optional bonus challenge: if you filled this out last year, try not to repeat what you said back then!) My favorite vocal synthesizer is the Voder from 1939. They killed her after the world’s fair but she lives on in simulations. 

How did you get into Fire Emblem? Bought 3H on a whim and wasn’t sold on it. My friend got me into Heroes and I played casually until I saw Reyson. The rest is history! 

What Fire Emblem games have you played? FE7, FE9, Awakening, Fates (all routes), 3H, and Engage! Feels really good to update that list from last year. 

First & Favorite Fire Emblem games: My first was 3H, but my favorite is FE7.

Who was the first character ever to make you go “ooh I like this one in particular” and why? Can be any context and reason! Claude! I actually wrote him in a multifandom killing game once before TOA. That was my first RP experience. 

Any Fire Emblem crushes? 😳Not really tbh. There are some fine people in FE but my attention is elsewhere. 

If you’ve played (or are familiar with) the following games, who was your first S support? Who would you S support nowadays?- Awakening: Chrom. Teehee- Fates: Tsubaki my darling. He romanced my OC Juno by being her rival.- Three Houses: I was on track to S-Support Claude before I put the game down. - Engage: Kagetsu! He just completely captured me. 

Favorite Fire Emblem class? Dancer! I always like the Dancers. 

If you were a Fire Emblem character, what would be your class and stats? Would you be playable? Axe General baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Midgame prepromote that requires a lot of love to be good. But I can get there! 

If you were a Three Houses character, what would be your affiliation? (Black Eagles, Blue Lions, Golden Deer, Church of Seiros, Those Who Slither in the Dark, unaffiliated civilian, other - for example Almyran) Golden Deer, I’m too silly to be anywhere else. 

If you were an Officers Academy student, what would be your boons, banes and potential budding talent? Boons in Axe and Authority, banes in Faith and Reason, and budding talent in Heavy Armor! I used to powerlift so I can get back into form for the armor but I’ll need a bit. 

If you were an Engage character, which nation would you originate from? (Firene, the Kingdom of Abundance; Brodia, the Kingdom of Might; Elusia, the Kingdom of Knowledge; Solm, the Queendom of Freedom; Lythos, the holy land of the Divine Dragon; Gradlon, the desolate land of the Fell Dragon) I’m an academic so probably Elusia...?

Who was your first TOA muse? If you no longer have them, can you see yourself picking them up again? Reyson! I don’t think I’d ever pick him back up again, but he holds a dear place in my heart. 

Do you believe you have a type of character you gravitate towards writing? (If you filled this out last year, has this changed in any way?) People in love! If they aren’t in love with someone (or an abstract something) then I can’t find the drive. 

Do you have characters or types of characters you don’t think you can handle writing, but wish you could? What I would do for an evil muse. You guys have no idea. There is a blog for a very evil woman sitting in my unused pile. 

What kind of scenes, situations etc do you believe you enjoy writing the most? (If you filled this out last year, has this changed in any way?) I’m just happy to see when my character flourishes. I like to give them equal wins and losses. 

Do you have any scenario in mind for your muse(s) that gets you thinking “man I hope I get to write this one day”? I go insanio bonkers for anything involving Mark’s disability, because she feels like a mirror to my own experience more often than not. I hope one day she gets to have a scene with someone she cares about entirely in sign! 

Favorite TOA-related memories? Phina and Elincia remains one of my favorite TOA-specific ships. Love that so much.

Present or past tense? Present. 

Normal size text, small text, no preference? I’m very formatting light for ease on my hands. So, I use normal text and no fancy formatting. 

Got any potential muse delusions to share? 😉I’m working on getting my activity up this month but I have a returner who I miss dearly and is beating down the door. It’ll be a nice change of pace to have her and Mark.

I created this account to roleplay as one of my OCs from the Criminal Minds universe. Any posts that are not RP related will be tagged as such, otherwise it’s me posting as my character, Julian. I may also bend the show’s plot to fit in with headcanons (which will be tagged). Also note that minors may interact with this account, as it is strictly SFW, though it’s obviously not encouraged as I am over 18 and so is my OC.

I won’t do a whole dump on Julian’s lore just yet but as a basic introduction, I’ll give some of the more plot relevant information and things you should know to understand my posts better.

1. Julian works with the BAU, taking Derek’s spot on the team after he left (apologies to Luke lovers everywhere)

2. I may play around with the timing of posts but in ‘current’ times, Julian is dating Penelope. I will indicate where in the timeline each post falls (EG. before getting together with Penelope OR after).

3. Originally from Russia, Julian was a hitman. He then moved to the United States where he was hired by the CIA to carry out hits that needed to look like accidents. After helping the BAU take down his corrupt supervisors, he was hired by the FBI to work as a profiler. This was just as Derek was leaving to focus on his new family.

So yeah, those are three things about Julian that may help people to understand my posts moving forward. I’m looking forward to developing his character through this blog and hope some people in the Criminal Minds fandom come along for the ride. :)

I don’t do well in the heat so prefer shade or indoors but definitely venture out as much as possible during the Summer.

Getting reassurance from multiple people that like, this is real and we're not just like, playing pretend in a way that we have no control over (which would...make it real, I guess but y'know how it is)

Is really nice. Hearing that there's clear differences between us -- ways we hold our body, ways we talk, ways we move -- more than just what I (Roz) am cognizant of while someone else is fronting.

Because when someone else is fronting, I'm looking through them like a filter -- I'm still there (usually) but everything is colored by the perception of the person driving. So I feel their feelings and their ways of looking at the world.

So like, I can remember or tell when I'm Adam because I can feel the way my posture shifts -- I can feel the way he looks at the world and feel his like, default emotional status.

But that's all internal, at least other than posture and voice (which hits out at around the bottom of my speaking range) and so it's always like "well I (Roz) am still here -- I'm still cognizant of everything, still looking at everything that happens (usually)." so it feels... fake. It feels like I must just be playing, I must just be roleplaying but...

I am not a good enough actor to change my micro expressions, I don't even know if I know how to alter that in theory, because it is such a subconscious thing...

Because like, also, in order to switch (if I'm not really high), I usually have to like, "get into" their mental state. If Florian wants to front we usually spend a little bit of time cofronting/blended while I'm "putting on" Florian enough for him to be in the driver's seat. (Sometimes there are just out of nowhere shifts where suddenly, like, Adam is fronting or Florian is fronting. The last couple weekends we've had Laci out a lot)

So it feels like.... I'm play-acting, because I have to like, pretend to be/take on the mannerisms of the alters in order to allow them to shift into front except on a rare occasion.

Anyway though, yeah -- talking with my partner online (and we've had this convo in person too) and talking with my housemates... Hearing that no, there are very obvious tells, very obvious ways of existing and being that make the others Not Roz.

The things I feel when Adam is fronting, the things I remember the body doing (the posture shift, the change in body language, dropping our pitch), they're all things others see clearly... Things I don't know how I would even start figuring out how to change (the micro-expressions, the different ways of gesturing)...

I wonder if our body "passes" better when like, Adam or Louis are fronting. I know we probably pass way less if like, Laci or Morgan are fronting because y'know, they're both very much girls. Just hm.
