Terpsichore Design

Base Appearance: Terpsichore is a huge music box doll-like creature with very long dark purple hair, dark green skin with pink speckles all over it, and golden yellow eyes with black star-shaped pupils.

She wears a white dress with short bell-like sleeves, a pair of dark purple ballet pumps, a black belt with a green upside down star-shaped buckle, and a pair of black opera gloves with green stars encircling them.

I have some more headcanons for Adalyn:

The reason Adalyn's mother is not in any of the photographs in her Chapter is because she died sometime after Adalyn's eighth birthday due to a heart condition that landed her in the hospital and ended up passing away a couple of weeks after.

The reason why Adalyn knows sign language is because her uncle, who is a teacher that deals with deaf and mute children, taught her in case something happened to her hearing or if she lost her voice.

Adalyn has a crush on Lance in the novel while in-game she is just friendly with him. (In the canon. Fanon, who knows...)

Adalyn has an obsession with anything star-related, whether it be clothes, jewelry, or even star-shaped candies.

Adalyn did have an "obsessive fan" that tried to follow her home once. Luckily, her father had found her and called the authorities on them before anything bad could have happened.

She has a music box that was given to her by her mother before she passed away that plays the same melody that is heard in her Chapter.

Adalyn's favorite flowers are Violas.

In the novel, Adalyn is still able to sing but she cannot normally speak, which is why she uses sign language.

Adalyn had started taking an interest in singing when she was a child. She used to have a karaoke machine that her father bought her as a birthday present. She would sing covers for popular songs that she grew up listening to.

She had once participated in a Talent Show before. Her excellent singing voice caused her to win 1st place. She still has the trophy that she won displayed in her room.

Adalyn had tried to play instruments once. But she found herself completely uninterested in doing so, preferring to sing. Her father, however, used to play the clarinet back when he was in school.

She has a love for Pop music. Sometimes, she would be seen listening to it.

Adalyn Stehle's In-Game Dialogue

Based around the idea that @shadowqueen402 had for the characters to have ACTUAL in-game dialogue. I may do more for some of my other Balan Wonderworld OCs in the future.

*In the opening of her story* Dad said he'd be here... He promised he would watch me sing this time... Did he lie? Or did he pretend to forget like always?

*In her ending* He made it! And he's wearing one of my shirts! *Feels Balan tap her shoulder and sign to her* Alright. It's showtime!

*In her secret ending* You actually made it! I was so scared you didn't!

*Hears her father tell her that traffic just held him up* You could've just walked you know. It's probably a bit safer anyway.

*Hears her manager call for her for autograph signing* Sorry, Dad. I got to do a few autographs. Once I'm done, I'll call you and we can spend the rest of the night around the WHF okay?

I was inspired by the Inhabitants' Unlockable Outfits post that @shadowqueen402 made. I may do more for some of my other Balan Wonderworld OCs in the future.

A bright purple T-shirt, a hot pink skirt with a yellow star printed on one side, a pair of black converses with bright purple laces and soles, and a yellow headband.

A hot pink t-shirt, a pair of black sweatpants, a pair of bright purple flats, and a yellow scrunchie used to tie her hair back into a ponytail.

A female school student's uniform which consists of a white shirt, a bright red tie, a bright, red-lined black blazer, a black pleated skirt, a pair of white knee-length socks, and a pair of black loafers.

She wears a yellow T-shirt, a bright purple skirt, and a pair of hot pink ballet pumps decorated with a black gem at the toes.

She wears a black dress with long ruffled sleeves, a pair of hot pink tights, a bright purple headband, a pair of bright yellow Gogo boots, a bright purple belt with a gold star-shaped belt buckle, and a pair of hot pink fingerless gloves with gold star-shaped studs on the knuckles.

My OC Adalyn Stehle

I've decided that my OC Adalyn Stehle is an Inhabitant, so here are some facts about what would happen in her Chapter.

Her Chapter title is called The Songstress Who Became Silent. The outside of it would have a stained-glass window with the number 13 on it. It would have a hot pink background with a pair of black and yellow stage lights and a white microphone. A concert stage can be seen with a bunch of bright purple ribbons all around it. Around the stage would be black silhouettes of people.

The inside of her Chapter takes place in what appears to be a city. Think of it like Akusuka from No Straight Roads but a bit bigger. Digital billboards of Adalyn in her idol outfit doing numerous poses, pink, purple, and yellow holographic statues of Adalyn dancing in place, and several stands that hold merchandise with Adalyn's idol likeness can all be seen. There are also large photographs that overlap some of the digital billboards that have a younger Adalyn standing alongside a man with a smile, gold viola flower-like structures that act like arches, and music boxes that sometimes play a soothing melody from them.

Adalyn's illusions will either say "Hello", "Want an autograph?", giggle, or hum. They may or may not look at the player while doing so.

Her Nega Boss is named Terpsichore, which represents Adalyn's fear of her father not making it to her Woven Hearts Festival concert and thinking that he did not care to actually see her perform, which makes her unable to sing at all.

She is consisted of Voice Mermaid, Music Note, Number Encore, and Minute Mute.

In the novel, it is revealed that Adalyn has become mute, so she communicates with everyone else with sign language.

After she is brought back to normal, Adalyn snaps back to her Woven Hearts Festival concert. When she looks into the crowd, she sees her father in a t-shirt that says, "My Daughter is a Shining Star!". She smiles and tears begin to prick at her eyes. Suddenly, she feels someone's hand on her back and looks up. It is Balan who gives her his trademark smile and uses sign language to say, "Good luck, little star! Show them how amazing you truly are!" Adalyn wipes her tears and nods. The scene fades to black as Adalyn goes onto the stage to sing.

They practice singing together as a bonding experience.

Lance often sends bouquets of viola flowers to Adalyn.

Adalyn teaches Lance sign language in case he encounters any visitors that are deaf and/or mute who would not be comfortable with him or Balan having to read their minds.

Adalyn actually feels comfortable with Lance whether he is in his Pure or Negati form.

When Lance is in his Pure form, Adalyn sometimes runs her fingers through his hair while they cuddle. The first time she did this, Lance ended up subconsciously turning into his Negati form but immediately calmed down when he realized it was still Adalyn. It took a while, but he eventually became comfortable with the gesture.

The two have cute nicknames for each other.

For Lance, it's "Angel Face", "Baby Boo", "Captain Cuddles", "Cuddle Buddy", "Honey Bunch", "Hubby", "Huggy Bear", "Lanny", "Lancey", "My Caesar", "My Prince", "Jelly Bear", "Kitten", "Snuggle Bear", and "Pookie Bear".

Whenever Adalyn refers to Lance with one of her nicknames for him, he points at himself as though he is asking if she means him, and to Adalyn it is very adorable.

I sure do.

Lance met Adalyn when he heard singing from her Chapter. He went inside and saw Adalyn singing by herself. When Adalyn saw Lance, the two soon started talking.

Their relationship would be considered as "chill but romantic", meaning they both take one step at a time, never rushing things. In fact, before they had their first date, Adalyn had to be patient and calm in order for Lance to come out of his shell.

Lance had shown Adalyn his Negati. He described them to her as "cat-like". One of the Negati, Kosokoso (the squirrel-like Negati), took a huge liking to Adalyn.

One of their favorite things to do is lounge in a really safe and comfy area where they could cuddle. And yes, Adalyn will hear Lance purr like a cat.

Yes.

Terpsichore represents Adalyn's stress of failing her music competition. So most of her powers would definitely be music related.

One of Terpsichore's abilities involves putting people to sleep. She does this by playing a type of music box music. Fortunately, this attack can be used against her.

She was actually based off of Puffy from NiGHTS into Dreams due to their singing abilities.

"Y-You're… You're so different!" Adalyn said, eyeing up Lance's new look. "I-I had no idea that you were corrupted…"

"You'd be surprised by all of the things that you don't know," Lance said. "How do I look?"

"You look incredible," Adalyn replied. She admired his new appearance. "I-I love this new look." Adalyn blushed while taking in every detail.

"And fortunately for you, I shall stay like this." Lance leaned in close and planted a kiss on Adalyn's forehead. "Thank you for bringing me back to my normal self."

Adalyn blushed redder than before. She couldn't believe it! Her crush finally kissed her on the forehead. And she didn't even tell him how she felt.

"Lance, I… I like you," Adalyn said.

"Adalyn, I feel the same, Lance replied back. He then planted a kiss on Adalyn's lips, causing her to kiss back.

Guess both Adalyn and Lance received happy endings after all.

Hello! Sorry for the tardiness! Had to take care of something! But anyways, here you go.

Adalyn watched as the large monster known as Shadow Lance started to fade away. What's going to happen to him? She thought to herself. She would never admit it to Balan, but she had secretly developed romantic feelings for Lance.

Suddenly, a bright light shone and revealed a man floating in midair. He had white hair, white skin, and his outfit looked similar to Lance's purple outfit. He opened his blue eyes to reveal that his sclera was no longer yellow.

"That's what he looks like?" Adalyn asked no one. A deep blush crept up on her face. She had to admit that, in this form, Lance looked incredibly attractive. Lance looked down at Adalyn and smiled. It wasn't a smirk, but an actual smile.

But suddenly, Adalyn saw the Negati flying towards him. "No!" She cried, rushing towards Lance. She wanted to confess to him and she was not losing the chance.

Then, she leapt into the air.

Fic Request: For my Headcanons for Adalyn I said that she learned sign language from her uncle in case she lost her hearing and/or voice. Can I have a sort of shipping story where she tries to teach Lance some sign language?

I can try, but be aware that this fic may be short due to the fact that I only know letters and a few words in sign language.

"I did not know that you study sign language," Lance said. He noticed a book on sign language sitting on a shelf.

"My uncle taught me it," Adalyn said. "This was in case I lost my hearing or my voice. Still, it's pretty useful to me. That way, if I meet anyone that's deaf, I'll be able to communicate with them."

"Is it okay if I learn sign language?" Lance asked. "It seems interesting."

"Sure, I can teach you what there is to know." Adalyn said. "First, we can start with the letters." She formed her hand into a fist. "This is the letter A. Which should be easy. Try it out yourself."

Lance made the same type of fist. "Like this?" He asked.

"Yeah, that's great," Adalyn said. "Now, I'll show you how to sign the letter B." She held up four fingers for Lance to see. "Like A, it should be easy."

Following her orders, Lance signed the letter B.

Adalyn smiled as she watched. She knew that Lance would be skilled in sign language in no time.
