I just listened to bernstein's recording of Barber Adagio for Strings on like full blast and I noticed that in the climax of the piece just after they stop playing someone accidentally brushes their d string with a finger and if you put it on full volume you can hear it ringing ever so slightly in the silence it's the funniest thing lmaooooo

last night my smart speaker all of a sudden turned on by itself in the middle of the night and this choral quietly played. For a few moments I've been listening to angelic waves of sound, half frightened, half spellbounded, until I realized where they were coming from
Agnus Dei, qui tolis peccata mundi, miserere nobis. Agnus Dei, qui tolis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem. Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace. The Agnus Dei was introduced in the Mass by Pope Sergius (687–701). This move may have been a defiant act against the Byzantine Empire (Constantinople), who ruled that Christ shall not be depicted as an animal, in this case, a lamb. The Agnus Dei, like the Credo, was one of the last things to be added to the Mass Ordinary. The fifth item in the Mass, Agnus Dei comes from John 1:29 and is often used during communion. Along with the Kyrie, Credo, Gloria, and Sanctus, this chant remains an integral part of the church service.
