oh my god i just counted and in 16 minutes of tv i have amassed 119 flashcards of terms i didn't know
#needless to say it took me like 1.5 hours to watch these 16 minutes of tv#part of me is like hey fuck it i dont NEED an accurate catalog of this#part of me is like ... this is so cool this is like reclaiming vocab sheets from my chinese school days#chineseposting#hidey watches be with you#IN MY DEFENSE THERE WAS ONE SCENE WHERE ONE GUY COMPLIMENTED ANOTHER GUY FOR LIKE A FULL MINUTE#USING ONLY IDIOMS AND CHENGYU ID NEVER HEARD OF#AND ALSO THERE WAS A SCENE WHERE LIKE TEN GUYS NAMED CRIMES THEY'D DONE AND I DIDNT KNOW THINGS LIKE 'kidnapping and selling women' l#or 'commit arson'#oh and to be clear i went back over the first 10min i didnt encounter. 80 words i didnt know between minutes 15 and 16#actually this doesnt even include the first 3 min of title music lyrics so really we are ... oh my god. at a rate of 10 new words per minute
