honestly i think heavy is SO underrated as a character by the fandom in general, not just on this site. like?? from what i can infer from these lines in poker night, he's guy who has this innate fear of failing and would of likely been retired or on a different career if not for the fact that he loves his craft. he loves killing and maiming and using his guns to do it. it's so FASCINATING and i wish we dissected that more often.

he cares about his weaponry to just about the same amount as people. he has hobbies, often adjacent to his violence, and will happily seek people with that as a common interest. he thinks of his co-workers highly and most insults he hurls at them here are because he knows they can do better (spy exempt.) and he greatly fears letting his teammates down. so he'll do everything in his power to be the best at what he does. AAUGHH

im surprised more people don't play around with stanley having an overactive imagination/possible dissociation since it's basically a proven thing he has. like as silly as the infinite hole ending may be, it still proves as one of my favs for just that bit of random stanley lore. leave that guy alone in a space for a while and he'll dissociate like his life depends on it.

I can accept basically any trans/nb reading of Jon however my personal favorites are transmasc Jon who transitioned physically and socially as early as possible and just never mentioned it to anyone cause it wasn't any of their business OR Jon being the most repressed transfem/nb in existence. he has a dream journal. draws stuff from his dreams too. they rotate between Expected Max Nonsense, horrific nightmares that he talks abt like he thinks theyre really funny but he does not, and things so mundane that in context they loop back around to being funny. “Dreamt that I got up, went to the kitchen, made a completely normal sandwich, and ate it sitting at a table at regular speed. I think I might be getting sick”

the superego is Like That bc max had an interest in psychology for a while. like 14 y/o max reading as many psychology books as he could get nonstop & telling sam not to tell anyone about it for his #image. he’s not so interested in it anymore but it’s all just kind of In There Forever
