It will surprise no one to hear that my top artist this year was Stray Kids. But I want to know who y'all think came in as my second top artist. So...

Listen, I know wrapped this year was...well it was. But I do think my top 5 artists are accurate. Also all of the artists listed did appear in my top songs playlist. But only 3 of them listed are in my top 5.

OKKKKK. my name is Zion (translated into Zaion in Japanese), and i am twin brother of Toya !! ( he is the older twin by a few minutes <\3 )

i am the fifth singer in Vivid Bad Squad and i play the drums occasionally !

i go to Kamiyama Highschool and i am in the homeroom 1-D (ena is is the same homeroom letter, but she’s a second year)

now… tragic backstory /hj

same with Toya, i was forced to play the piano and violin by our father, not allowed to do anything else. But unlike Toya who went to street music to get away from his father, I met some friends in middle school who i got to rebel with. But, these friends soon turned out to be toxic, and soon i found myself to feel suffocated in that group, them knowing my secret made me obliged to stay in that group. i unexpectedly met Honami during this time, becoming close friends with her. This was also the time Honami distanced herself from her own friends and was suffocating in her own friend problems. i learned about astronomy and how to play the drums from her. i also really like apple pies cuz it reminds me of her :)

i was very distant with my brother, sometimes going days without seeing him. my happy personality soon turned cold in middle school, and i was always known as the kid to not mess around with. akito and an knew of me, but i never made any efforts to talk to them. that changed after Toya came home surprisingly early one day (fight with Akito). after i asked him what happened he told me that he quit playing street music because he thought it was just “child’s play” and it didn’t have any meaning to him other than trying to avoid classical music. kind of jealous of him and angry with his reasoning, i guess i snapped? i kind of yelled at him (he literally just got back from a fight 😭😭😭) that he had something to motivate him yet he was throwing his passion away because of some doubts. it was a rocky start, but this argument sooner or later got us closer again, being closer than even in years; being the others best friend. Also, he, Honami, Tsukasa and Saki know about my secret at this moment.

when we did get closer, i was soon introduced to Vivid Bad Squad properly. this was the first time i was introduced to Kohane, and An and Akito’s first time seeing me in a while. i think it was seeing them practice a lot and be so determined to surpass RAD WEEKEND that had me so inclined to join. this is where the story strays from canon, but between An’s Singing in Sync and Toya’s Nocturne Interlude story, if there were “focus events”, my event / focus story would be here, joining VBS officially. VBS would find Ready Steady to become “Untitled” again, and it would stay that way until i would click Untitled on my phone and be transported to Street Sekai.

Also, my lines are still evenly spread in songs, either sharing lines with anyone that fits, or sharing with any of the Virtual Singers in the song.

I have some solo covers, like ray (sorry Leo/need im taking ray), but I also do duet covers with anyone in the group. I once tried to sing Ifuudoudou with Akito and Toya and Pa III. SENSATION with An and Kohane but i couldn’t take myself seriously and just tried not to fall on the floor dying. I also like playing the drums with any song that deems fit.

This is just me being friend deprived but instead of thinking of them as just two pairs plus me, VBS is more of a whole friend group (you could even call it a found family). Although i dont mind Anhane and Akitoya as a ship, I love the idea of just being really close platonically and i love found family so yea.

Some events like Mirai are shared focus events, which means me and Toya both have that “event”.

One of my really important “events” is named “Old Friends, New Secrets” where i accidentally run into my old friend group, soon turning really anxious to the point of not coming to practices. but the one practice where i finally did come for a event the following week, i run into them again. An and Akito recognized them from previous years, and Toya knew them as my old friends, but he knew something was wrong when he turned to see me trembling hard. as i was trying to say goodbye and leave, they became really hostile and saying rude remarks. At this point An and Akito started getting frustrated and knew something was up when i was trying to tone down their behavior. my old “best friend”, in front of the group, said my secret out loud, and in a state of horror and rage, I punched her. by the time both groups pull us away from breaking each other’s noses, and when Akito and An tried arguing with them, I just ran like a wimp 💀💀. For a few days I didn’t go to practices, going so far as to try to distance myself again from Toya, but I do go into Sekai to calm myself down a little bit. I do visit Leo/need during this time (since the whole group is back and I haven’t visited Saki and Honami in a while), and hang out with them for a little while before they all return home. Before I could leave, Honami and Saki ask to talk to me. They ask what happened, and sooner or later I tell them what happened. We discuss some stuff for a little while, before they basically tell me that “true friends aren’t going to leave you for this. talk to them, you’ll be ok.” with advice in my head, i thank them for everything before heading to sekai for a while, where i find myself standing before VBS themselves.

My 4 star from this event would be a group hug of everyone in Sekai (the abandonment issues is SPEAKING) named “Not Alone Anymore.” and the other 4 stars would be Toya looking worried which is named “Twin Telepathy” and An probably trying to argue with the other group, which would be named “Never Leaving a Friend Alone”. The 3 star would be Akito looking at the drums which i would sometimes play during practices, named “The Echo of the Drums Once Played”, and the 2 star would be Kohane in a event costume, looking to the side, named “This Shared Feeling of Loneliness”. This event would probably have the themes of an empty city, with my trained card being me underneath the only working light in what looks like an abandoned city. I haven’t decided how the others looks like, but yea :)

Going from this cold, quiet person to still being quiet but letting myself be more free with friends, I am similar in some circumstances to Toya. We both are dense af, both afraid of heights, and both have good grades (although im the one who procrastinates and still gets good grades, being in the middle compared to An/Akito being horrible at studying, and Toya/Kohane being good at studying). Unlike Toya who has bad memories connected to classical music, I still do have bad memories but I have a very strong nostalgia when listening to it, longing to play it one more time without father knowing.

Being with VBS, if we’re not practicing, sometimes we play board games and sometimes we’ll sing each other’s duets for fun (Toya and I did a duet for Utsuro wo Aogu) and we almost died laughing when trying the high notes An and Kohane would take.

I am very close to VBS, Honami, Saki and Tsukasa, and am friends with rest of Leo/need, Mizuki, Rui, and Nene. I am acquainted with Ena, Emu, Haruka, and Shizuku.

My favorite drink is coffee, my favorite food is pasta with spinach, and my least favorite food is anything chocolate flavored (besides actual chocolate). I don’t like heights and ants.

Sometimes if Leo/need has a performance, I’ll see it with Tsukasa and Shizuku, and if WxS has a performance I’ll see it with Kohane and Saki.

STOP THAT’S SO HARD TO CHOOSE UHHHHH UHH UHHH i’d probably have to choose his selflessness. for example, in one of his recent instagram posts, his caption apologized to the stays who attended their filming since it was delayed and went till 4am; his first thought was of his fans, not himself, and it touched me so deeply that i teared up. okay, that’s a lie, i full-on started crying.

soft lilac purples ( like #89646a ) !!! it’s soft and soothing, and purple’s been my comfort color since i was little. i had my bedroom walls painted fruity purple, with a matching fruity purple wooden plaque with my name in multicolored glittery letters on my door, when i was nine years old, my favorite jaipuri quilt is also light purple, and i got a really pretty purple dress with matching purple earrings and a matching purple bracelet for my sweet sixteen in may !!! i really love purple, it’s just such a soft yet striking hue, and i feel like it really captures hyunjin’s personality and the comfort he brings me ♡

> one gift you want to give to them?

a tight, tight hug and a promise that he’s never, ever going to be alone, and that i’ll always be supporting him, every step of the way. he’s such a sweet, selfless, gentle person that i’m really lucky to ult, and i guess the gift i’d want most to give him is happiness.

i have a playlist full of songs that remind me of him, so i want to just snuggle with him on a couch under a fluffy, thick blanket while we listen to my playlist and sip hot cocoa together. but if it had to be only one song, it would be wish that you were here, by florence + the machine.

> what made you fall for them?

everything about him made me fall for him. my first skz bias was jisung, but i swerved for hyunjin when i watched district 9. the first thing that hit me was his charisma; i was absolutely enamored with the playful, almost taunting tone his rapping took on in district 9. when the sk-talkers started coming out, i started watching them, and soon enough, i was even more in love. he has such a good stage presence and such a wonderful personality; he’s a rare gem of a person that i never dreamed existed and who proved me wrong on that count. i love him so much words can’t accurately express it ♡♡♡

> dream date you would want to go on?

a quiet, moonlit walk on the beach! nothing fancy, nothing elaborate; just him and me, walking alone by the waves under the moonlight, talking about anything and everything, from how our days went to what our hopes in life are and what we need in someone. i actually get a bit intimidated by the idea of fancy dates, especially ones in public places, so this would be my ideal date.

oh, dang, i have NO idea !!! i’m PRETTY clingy, but then again, so is he... i guess we’ll have to call it a tie!!

he’s not perfect, but neither is anyone else in this world. it’s his imperfections that make him such a darling and so lovable, and his imperfections that make him unique. i want him to fully own it, because he’s so damn worth it, and every time he instinctively responds to a fan’s calling him cute with “no, i’m not cute,” it breaks my heart, because i wish he could see himself through my eyes and love himself for the wonderful person he is. it’s a lesson my friends have been trying to teach me about myself, as well, because i’ve had awful self-esteem issues since i was really young, and i want to tell hyunjin this as well.

> who falls asleep first on face time?

hyunjinnie for sure. i’m always tired, but i’m scary good at pulling all-nighters, to be honest. i start acting like even more of a scatterbrained idiot as it gets late into the night, but i’m good at keeping myself awake at odd hours of the night, hence how easily jet lag wears off for me ( for me, jet lag stays for a maximum of like 2 days ). honestly, i’d just laugh if he fell asleep on face time, and i’d probably just mutter a bunch of stuff about how he’s so cute. plus, if it was cold and he didn’t have his blanket on him when he fell asleep, i, being the mother-hen type i am, would probably end up going over to his place JUST to tuck him in for fear of his catching a cold.

> place you’d like to go to with them?

hmm ,, this is hard !!! there are so many places i wanna go with him eek :( to be honest, maybe chicago? i went there this last summer and so many things reminded me of hyunjin; for example, when we went on the architecture tour, i thought about how much he’d probably have enjoyed it. if i could go to just one place with him, it would be the navy pier, because i spent so much time that night just watching the view and thinking about everything -- life, in general -- including him and what he must be doing at that moment. i want to hold his hand and watch the sunset give way to a starry night; even if neither of us are saying anything, the silence is a comfortable one, not at all awkward.

hwang hyunjin is an angel. i’m so lucky to have him in my life, because were it not for him, and for all of stray kids, i don’t even know if i’d have been here, writing this post at 12:35 a.m. on october 30th, 2018.
