i've been dreaming about genshin a lot lately idk this game has possesed me or smth so i feel like i'm required to write this? Also DAMN im rusty with genshin characters so i apologise profusely for any ooc-ness

XIAO is confused. Why on earth are you wearing his clothes? He isn't opposed to it specifically, but doesn't understand the appeal or the reason why you do it. "My clothes don't fit you properly. What's the point?" he asks, completely straight faced. You smile. "It reminds me of you when you're not with me!" He just scoffs and says he doesn't get your strange habits before moving on with his day. Somehow though, the image of you in his clothes won't leave his mind for the rest of the day. "Dammit..." he mumbles under his breath, barely audible when nobody's around. Don't bring up his pink cheeks in the evening when he comes back to see you, he will not elaborate.

Similarly, NEUVILLETTE is also confused. This must be another human thing that he isn't familiar with. What does wearing their lover's clothes mean to humans? "Oh, I just missed you... your clothes remind me of you, you know?" You explained when he questioned you on the matter. "Oh, I suppose that makes sense. Do you want more items related to myself for when I am absent?" He asks. While you do want to know what items he would bring you, you turn him down. "I like your shirts the most, because they smell like you and feel like your hugs." He doesn't know why exactly, but he has the urge to kiss you all of a sudden.

WRIOTHESLEY feels distracted when he sees you in his clothes from time to time. He gets busy a lot, so the moments he gets to spend with you feel extra special. But, what is he to do when you look so positively yummy in his shirt? "Hey, mind taking my shirt off? It's... sort of distracting." he admits, taking a sip of his tea. "But, wouldn't it be even more distracting if I took it off now?" you asked, feigning an innocent look. He almost spit out his tea. "I did not mean it like that...! Surely you're just teasing me." You just smiled mischeviously in response, taking a sip out of your own cup. "That's what I thought. I know that look."

ZHONGLI thinks you look odd in his clothes. Odd, but not bad by any means. You actually look quite endearing. "I'll make sure to commit this to memory." he says calmly, sitting down next to you on the bed. "You say that every time you're with me." you poke his shoulder gently, smiling up at him. "That's because everything about you is worth remembering, I suppose." Still, he thinks this specific memory is one he will treasure for a long, long time. "Oh my..." you felt heat rushing to your cheeks at his words, hugging his arm. Actually, he changed his mind, you're positively adorable in his clothes.

You're basically asking to get attacked with a flurry of kisses if you wear ITTO'S clothes in front of him. That's like, a show of affection! That you're totally his and no one else's! And that also means it's a cause for celebration! "Agh, Itto- Stop!" you try and fail to push his face away. "Hehehe..." he gives you a bright smile and places a big ol' kiss on your lips. "You should wear my clothes more often!!!" he felt proud of himself, puffing out his chest. "Ummm, whatever you say..." you're kind of worried that if you do that, your face will never escape his lips.

The two of you hanging off the top of the cliff of a mountain that took hours to climb, sitting on the edge of the plank platform and feeling the wind glide across your hair. He smiles—looking at you with eyes filled with nothing but adoration. He slips a silent thank you for joining him, in this spontaneous hiking trip, for just being with him at this very moment. He loves you more than you’ll ever know, but he won't be able to say that outright no matter how hard he tries, often shoving those feelings down his throat in hopes that you would stick around a little more. Because what would happen if you ended up not feeling the same way? He’d rather have you with him, as a friend, than nothing at all.

You find yourself often helping him out with his daily errands for the day. You know it’s exhausting for him, carrying crate after crate, negotiating with the merchants, doing something after another. Your presence alone in these seemingly mundane tasks makes him look forward to these silly things that he once viewed as tiresome. He gets a few hours with you by his side, chatting about everything and nothing, smiling about the stupid things you see along your way—this one is just any regular day for you, but when accompanied with the racing of his heart as he sees you happy being with him, it's certainly a special day for him. One that he’ll treasure, deep in his heart.

He claims that it’s nothing. All your attempts at getting close with him, your frequent invites to go somewhere and coincidentally losing the third ticket that was supposed to be for your other friend, you insisting that you stay with him until the sun goes down—no matter where the two of you were. He knows it means something, but he doesn't want to be the one at fault for plain out assuming you liked him. I mean, out of everyone, you really chose him? He says to himself that he'd do his best to show his disinterest, hoping that would stray you off and make you rethink your decisions. He doesn’t act on that thought in the end, finding your presence much better than whatever the wind has to say. It’s too soon to tell you that he loves you anyway.

how dare you ignore him?! he’s so used to people cowering in fear and doing whatever he tells them to, so when he demands your attention and you refuse, he’s furious. he‘ll try calling your name, each one more louder and angrier than the last, but when you don’t answer he‘ll just storm off with a harsh "fine, whatever!" he‘ll come back when it’s dark and you’re in bed. slowly will crawl under the covers with you and wrap his arms around your waist. so what if you wouldn’t talk to him, he knows you’d never push him off you. it’s rare he shows physical affection so when he gives it, you gladly accept it. he feels you shift and then hears a call of his name.

"what? you’re finally talking to me now?"

honestly he’s unfazed by it. when he calls out your name sweetly and you flat out ignore him, he‘ll find it more amusing than anything. of course, on the outside he appears worried— and he is, but he knows you love him and some petty argument isn’t going to change that. he‘ll follow you around everywhere, talking to you even when you don’t answer. kisses and hugs on you despite your obvious anger, but he just comes back after you push him away so you stopped trying. eventually you just give up and start softly replying to his questions he randomly throws at you. he‘ll smile widely at the sound of your voice finally directed at him.

Ayato: No surprise the Yashiro Commissioner doesn’t pay attention to his new wife, the one that he didn’t marry first. You knew that he didn’t love you, and most likely never would because you were, in fact, the second pick. Actually, it was probably in the hundreds based on the amount of marriage arrangement offers Ayato had gotten considering he was one of the biggest figures in Inazuma. It didn’t matter, but he most likely picked you because your clan was a small one to put it lightly, so he most likely chose it, and you, because it wouldn’t be a hassle with the press. But of course, he would choose the person and clan that seemed, “easy”. It hurt seeing some of the people’s sympathetic stares, such as Ayaka’s, Thoma’s, and a few of the older women working in the estate. You got used to the lack of greeting from Ayato when he got off work, the lack of warmth beside you at night. You found it hilarious, although you were hysteric at the time as you had just found out that Ayato was off that day and neglected to see you, that he never, ever laid down in the same bed as you. It doesn’t matter no matter how hard you work around the estate, how long you sit up doing his work, which you soon quit once he yelled at you like a homeless dog, or even the distinct flower you made out of one of Ayato’s favorite sweets that he ignored. Not even a glance at your general direction, either. After a while, you decided to do some digging on his past wife, only to find out that she was in fact near perfect. Perfect reputation, perfect everything, to put it shortly. Shortly after asking Ayaka what happened to her, by pulling the sad, guilty wife card, you found out she was a victim of an assassination attempt that turned into a success. Of course, Ayato and his perfect wife would only be torn apart by death. It was poetic, and it made you sick. So what were you to do but endure the slow torture that you and Ayato’s marriage was? After all, nothing you could do could change how he felt about you. 

Neuvillette: The famous hydro dragon, at least to those who knew his ‘secret’. His past lover, unfortunately, died before him, no doubt to his immortality. Of course, you would soon die, maybe in a few decades but, hey, it wasn’t like he would miss you. You could only wait awake at night as Neuvillette went to fix himself his own meal, despite you staying up to cook him one and await for his return from work. It���s not that was the only time he never paid attention to you, after all the man had most likely been grieving his wife for centuries at this point in time. So what were you to do besides stay and watch this man be emotionally constipated around you? Why did he even marry you in the first place, then? It couldn’t be because his past wife resembled you, and it certainly wasn’t because you both acted the same. Was it because he needed someone to cling to? I mean, you weren’t exactly someone who seemed to not fit the criteria of a compassionate co-worker who would comfort Neuvillette in his times of distress. Did Neuvilette only come to you because you were his way of grieving? It would make partial sense, to cling to the nearest piece of comfort to help with the pain of loss. It made you feel like nothing but an object meant for his emotional wants, but in reality, that’s all you ever are and will ever be to him. 

Xiao: The famous adeptus long ago, had someone close to him. Shame they fell to waste during the archon wars, along with the other adepti. It was no surprise that everyone familiar with Liyue stories knew about the two of them together, which unfortunately included you. It didn’t pain you that much until your oh-so-loveable boyfriend got distracted by two kids playing with a Xiao lantern and one of her. After that, it only devolved into more. The lack of visits to your room in the inn, the lack of responses whenever you left your little notes for him near your meet-up place, and the extreme lack of thank-you-notes whenever you left Xiao almond tofu. It didn’t matter that you started to skip and completely ignore doing all of these things just to see if he would notice because the adeptus failed to appear in your room just to check in to see if you were okay. This behavior was unlike him, at least in the sense of him completely ignoring you. The only answer you could think of, that logically made sense, of course, was that he was reminded of his past loved one because of the run-in with the lanterns you two had while out in Liyue. So in terms, he seemed to disconnect with you because of the memories of his past significant other? You knew the adepti didn’t die peacefully, you could tell that much from the stories, so it wouldn’t be surprising if that also applied to Xiao’s past lover. There was nothing you could do about it though, because if you knew Xiao, he wouldn’t talk about her to you nor push her aside for you.

Zhongli: Guizhong. Of course, you were familiar with the name, everyone in Liyue was. Everyone might be a stretch considering the visitors and children, but the point’s been made. Morax and Guizhong were close. Close in a sense of possibly having relationship affairs but that was only explicit to you because of the way your lover would glace at glaze lilies. You couldn’t call him your lover, could you? Not with the way he would hum to the glaze lilies, the way his eyes would also drift away from you whenever you talked as you took strolls through Guilu Plains, and the way he would opt to tell stories of specific tales of his time as Morax, ones that included Guizhong in some way. It got to the point where you had to make up tasks that you had to do daily just to get away from the walks you two took, not to hear the different-yet-similar stories of Morax and totally not Guizhong. It was childish of you to be doing so, you had yourself convinced, as you couldn’t blame Guizhong for any of it. She had no part of this besides well, besides being your number one stressor for the past few weeks. It was tiring yet somehow for the sake of not wanting a glare or side-eye from Zhongli about his stories, which you never thought you’d get that tired of hearing, you kept your mouth shut, despite how hard it was. You knew it would only take so much more, though, before you said something about it.

The Script Shop of Dreams (Manhwa)

Fun fact, I actually did do the translations for chapter 5 I believe of this manhwa for a friend before it got a full on official translation. As of current about 25 chapters are out. It has similar plot device as I want to be a Big Baddie where the female lead is jumping through different stories, though currently, she's only in the isekai/murder mystery story. I do like this kind of idea so I hope there will be more of them in the future.

The story starts with with Luo Meng, a rich girl who can have anything, except finding a man named Mu Han. She met Mu Han a year ago, and he became her tutor. After confessing to him, Mu Han suddenly disappeared, leaving no trace of his existence. Annoyed at this, she starts to look for him. In this world script games, games that allow you to live different stories and different lives, have become popular, and also was created by Mu Han. To look for him, Luo Meng goes into a store called the script shop of dreams, and opens one of the scripts after seeing Mu Han's name on the front, causing her to be absorbed into the book. She ends up going into a murder mystery type story as the female lead when she was a child and immediately finds that the butler that looks just like Mu Han. After talking to the system, she finds out her role- to prevent the murder from happening in the mansion in the first place. She first ends up acting haughtily towards her fiance, only for the butler to step in when he tries to slap her out of anger. She tries to force an interaction with her and the butler, but due to the script, he ends up avoiding her. Still, despite the fact that the system states that all appearances are based off her own memories, the butler seems to have had yandere tendencies, knowing exactly how long she grew her hair out amongst other things. At night, she ends up getting kidnapped, and is able to feign passing out until she's able to escape. When the kidnappers go after her, the butler comes and chops their heads off. When returning back home, we see that the butler has had an interest in the young girl since he was saved by her, promising to kill everyone before finally killing her. Luo Meng continues to reject her fiance, though has to break up a fight between him and the butler, ultimately siding with the butler and asking him to teach her how to dance. The fiance writes a letter to the female lead whom comes to visit. Luo Meng acts rudely towards her new guest, slapping the tea out of the maid's hands and causing a mess. Luo Meng ends up kicking the female lead out of the mansion, where the butler promptly murders and hides the body of the maid who helped her. Luo Meng interrupts a meeting with the fiance and the female lead, using this opportunity to break off their engagement and kick him out of the mansion. The female lead freaks out, trying to attack Luo Meng, only to be saved by the butler, when suddenly the tradition of "Finding the bunny" releases. It's basically a towns tradition similar to finding easter eggs except it's one bunny. Her and the butler go out to eat food and participate in the festival before going to a hotel to rest. Luo Meng goes to the bar area to listen to the story of the "Finding the bunny" tradition.

It seems that her character was a rich noble who was given everything when coming to the town, and ended up choosing a bunny from two twins. She gave the oldest twin a large sum of money, causing the younger twin to get jealous. Soon after, the bunny bit the miss, with the younger twin watching from a secret area. She ends up being blamed for drugging the bunny, ultimately leading the town to drive her to her death. Outside, two people aim to kidnap her, only for the butler to kill them. A mob of people start to gather outside of Luo Meng's inn, with the butler even throwing the fiance to the mob. Luo Meng is greeted by the female lead and the two of them go into the room where the younger twin hid before. Here, the fiance breaks in, trying to get them to escape as he's distracted the mob for a bit. When they escape, the female lead talks about her younger twin and what kind of person she was.

As I said before, I do like the concept of Script Shop of Dreams. It has the same system as I want to be a Big Baddie, but unlike in that story, Luo Meng is purposefully looking through each story to try to find Mu Han. In the latest chapter it is implied that she will likely jump into another story that is more sci-fi, which I'm all for. I really like the idea of going through a bunch of different genres since it gives different and more unique settings (that isn't just isekai number 1000, though this current script is set in a pretty isekai like setting) as well as different types of roles that the main character must play. There's just a lot of possibilities to it that can be explored. The artwork in this is also extremely pretty from the various colors and the poses of the characters (especially the butler). There's a lot of mystery as well, not just in the current script but also surrounding Mu Han as well. Is the butler actually a yandere for Luo Meng or just the character she's playing? Why does the butler want to kill Luo Meng so badly? What are his goals? Is he actually aware of what's going on in the script or is he following how the author has made the story? Where did Mu Han disappear to? There are a lot of things that have yet to be solved and the story has just begun. The current setting as I said still plays mostly like an isekai style story, but with the main focus of murder mystery, not even giving the other characters names. The murder mystery is slowly unveiling though, showing the effects of the main character that Luo Meng is playing with the twins as her character's actions were the creation of this new holiday. The murderer seems to be the butler, but why he's killing people is something that isn't fully understood yet.

The butler for certain is a yandere for the character Luo Meng is playing, even Luo Meng mentions it herself, but why he's killing everyone and wants to kill Luo Meng is yet to be fully understood. He seems to have been conspiring with the people who kidnapped Luo Meng but ultimately kills both of them, imagines killing the fiance when they're arguing (and probably would have if Luo Meng didn't interfere), kills the people trying to kidnap her again in the inn, seems to take great care in making sure her diet is maintained, watches how long her hair is, etc. As much as he obviously cares about and obsesses over Luo Meng, it does make me wonder what he's plotting. He still plays the role of a butler and still is trying to maintain his composure, but we don't really know why. It's clear that Luo Meng's character saved him when he was younger and there is a significance to the snake eyes that is associated with him as well, but we have yet to uncover what's going on with that. Even then, when Luo Meng eventually jumps into another script, will the character that looks like Mu Han still be a yandere? Is it a one time thing or is it a trait that carries over? There are a lot of questions, and it is rather exciting, despite all of that.

Overall, a very pretty manhwa with a fun premise. Compared to a lot of other manhwa I've read, the pacing is pretty good and makes sense for what's going in the story and the artwork is really pretty as well. I hope that we will be able to jump into other worlds soon and that Mu Han really is a yandere through and through.

Xiao x f!reader

Summary: Your boyfriend lost his memory of you so you have to find a way to help him get it back.

Notes: I prefer writing fluff, so I put more thought into this one.

Picking back up how Zhongli dumped the situation of your boyfriend loosing his memory on the both of you then leaving.

It’s been a nightmare for you, you’ve worked so hard to turn your boyfriend into a lover boy. You’ve broken his whole cold, nonchalant attitude and turned him into a lover, sweet, touchy boy. Yeah he still spoke in a monotone manner but, he still loved you. And after he lost his memory’s it feels like 5 years gone down the drain.

This new Xiao isn’t making any progress, it’s like he doesn’t even care enough to remember you. He won’t even touch you.

You started thinking to yourself, did he even actually love me? Why was the memories of us the only ones that he lost? Maybe I wasn’t important enough to remember. Or maybe he did it on purpose even after knowing the consequences… These thoughts made your blood boil, the thought of him not ever even loving you made you so upset. Yet you still cried yourself to sleep.

Ever since he’s lost his memory the only time that he has recently came close to you was for dinner. He only excepted it because you promised him almond tofu. You tried to touch his hand one night because you missed him and his touch, but he snatched it away.

Your eyes started to get teary and you started crying. You were upset so you threw away your food, gave him the almond tofu then walked to your bedroom crying. He just stared. He felt bad but at the same time he didn’t care because he didn’t know you.

He stayed at the dinner table for a hour just thinking while you had cried yourself to sleep. While you were dead sleep he came creeping inside the room walking to his side of the bed, and he stared at you for a hot second. He had made a decision on something.

He walks over to the closet and grabs a bag. He starts packing everything that he owned. His plan was to completely disappear from you without a chase, he felt that trying to love you again was really frustrating and difficult, that he didn’t want to do it anymore.

He’s did it once for 5 years maybe that was enough for you. Before leaving through the window he looks at you and notices that your shirt started falling off of your shoulder. He notices something familiar, he walks back over to you and pulls down your shirt a little bit more to expose the tattoo on your arm.

It was a tattoo of his Yaksha mask. You thought it’d be cute to get little tattoos that would be memorable of each other. He pulled your shirt back up to cover the tattoo and walked away thinking that you were a crazy psychopath obsessed with him, but little did he know that he had a little tattoo that reminds him of you on the back of his hand under his glove.

He decided that leaving was the best option for the both of you. He thought that leaving you who was obsessed with him would probably make your mind go straight. But he was equally obsessed with you, exact reason why he agreed to get matching tattoos.

You wake up the next morning to see that everything of his was gone. You run around the house looking for him or his stuff and there was nothing. Absolutely nothing. When you realize what he had done, you drop to your knees balling your eyes out, gripping onto your shirt were your heart is, grabbing onto the floor, and gasping for air.

You couldn’t breathe, you couldn’t speak, all you could do was sob. The air started to get thinner and everything around you was closing in. You where starting to have a panic attack, you were loosing your mind over the fact you were right. 5 years thrown down the drain, everything gone.

You kept thinking to yourself what are you gonna do? you lost the only person you cared about the most. You loved this man to death, and he just upped and left. He could have at least told you, you didn’t have to start your morning off having a panic attack.

Sitting there sobbing and throwing up, you started to get overwhelmed and black straight on out. You were on the ground blacked out for 2 hours. When you finally woke up you didn’t move, you just sat there staring at your fridge in your kitchen which seemed one thousand miles away.

You eventually fell asleep again on the floor, still in the same position from were you blacked out. When you woke up it was night time again, you finally got up to clean up the mess you’ve made on the floor and on yourself.

After clearing the floor and taking a shower, you take a quick peak at your phone and you stare in shock. You’ve been sleeping on that floor for 3 days? how is that even possible? But honestly you didn’t care. Why was that even important.

You had locked yourself inside your house for a month, with no contact what so ever with anyone. What was your lover doing during that month? You didn’t care but you couldn’t help but wonder.

When your lover left, he had to find somewhere to lay low, so he resorted to Cloud retainer’s domain.

“What brings you here?” she asks the boy

“I left.” he replies softly

She was confused “Left from where?”

“My supposed lover.” He says almost rolling his eyes

She doesn’t say anything for a minute be for saying “Why would you leave the one that you love oh so dearly, and loves you equally the same way back?”

“I don’t love her.”

“Hmm, have you not had your memories returned?” she asks still shocked at his words.

He shakes his head no and continues on with his life.

Cloud retainer makes it her mission to try and get Xiao’s memories back. That entire month she had tried various of things to get them back, and he’s had a small bit come back. But he still doesn’t want to return home to you.

After you lock yourself inside your home for a month you started getting low on food. You decided to man up and go shopping for food supplies in Liyue.

After you finished shopping, you decided to go pay a visit to Zhongli. you walked into the funeral parlor and greeted hu-tao then asked where Zhongli was. She pointed you to where he was and you went to go say hi. After sitting there talking for a while, he asked you why he hasn’t seen you for a month and you stared at him for a hot second then you explain what happened.

You started to break down in tears and he welcomes you into a hug. During this time Xiao was planning on coming in and being by Zhongli’s side again. That’s when he saw you in the arms of zhongli, he was just staring at you. He noticed that you were crying. He stayed hidden because he was avoiding you on purpose. He remembered a few things about y’all’s relationship, but he still never wanted to come back.

As he was staring at you, he started to get more memories rushing back. For some reason his entire face turned hot and he was blushing. He was confused on why just looking at you made him feel this way. He was confused on why he was able to feel this feeling. He thought he didn’t love you, but he surely did. 

He teleports away, leaving you again. But you never even noticed he was there.

After a hanging at the funeral parlor you return home, as you start filling up your fridge and cabinets you decide to get over him. He can you get over someone that you had been with for 5 years and planned on marrying? It was possible and that was what exactly what you were gonna do.

You walk into your room and looked at the couple photo of you and Xiao wearing cat ears, you were imitating claws and Xiao stared at you through the camera because he was forced to do that with you, but he was happy. You pick up the photo and look at the “Y/n x Xiao” carved into the frame. You place the photo down onto its face and leave the room.

This is the way it was was for 8 months, you were happy again and living your life. Hanging out with friends and seeing new guys. Xiao completely out of your head, almost.

All Xiao did was watch you from a distance, watching you like this made so many memories of his return. He loved you again, and wanted you in his grasp again. He hated the fact that you were talking to other guys. But what made him happy was that you never touched them the way you touched him.

And you never talked to them the way you used to talk to him. He wanted you back, so he was getting you back.

He wanted to return home, not to the house. But to you. When you were getting ready for a night out he silently teleported inside your room. You never noticed him till you turned around and he scared you.

“What the hell are you doing in my room?” you asked him breathing heavy from the shock.

He walked closer to you “I missed you.”

you thought ‘the audacity that this man has.’

You walk closer to him “what makes you think you can come inside my house and tell me that you missed me? and i’d take you back?!”

Who were you kidding? you never forgotten about him. You wanted him back so badly, you grabbed his face and kissed him on the lips eagerly. You wanted his touch so badly that you were chasing his lips with your own.

That kiss brought back some of his fuzzy memories that he had of you. He wrapped his arms around you to bring you closer and deepen the kiss. He loved and missed you so much, and he was also eager for your touched.

Still kissing you, he noticed the couple photo of you two faced down. He lets one of his hands go off your waist and sits the photo back up.

He never fully left.

he'd been minding his own business on the train to work, lost in thought about something or the other, when a warm feeling on his right shoulder had broken his train of thought. he'd looked over, and...well, he'd seen...you. he hesitates, glancing at your sleeping body resting on his shoulder. it's not as though he can't bear your weight on him, it's just...the touch is unfamiliar, something he's not used to, something he hasn't felt in what feels like an eternity. he sighs softly as you stir, not knowing whether he should wake you up or let you be. Well...it wouldn't hurt to be accommodating, now, would it?

xiao, zhongli, kazuha, albedo, ayato, diluc

a frown, or a scowl of some sort, is this man's reaction to most everything that happens to him, and he isn't giving this situation a free pass. the second he feels his neighbor seatmate's head drop onto his shoulder, he strikes his signature scowl. curse you for having the audacity to sleep on public transport anyway...why couldn't you just sleep at home? as he turns to shove you off his shoulder, though, he suddenly pauses, seeing your innocent, tired face. he curses himself internally for being so uncharacteristically soft today, but nevertheless changes his mind about shoving you off his shoulder. he'll just tell you to bring an actual pillow next time you choose to sleep on public transport. for now, he automatically stiffens himself, and prepares to lend you his shoulder until he gets to work. but this is only a one-time thing, of course...unless...

kaveh, wanderer

he blinks as he feels your head drop onto his shoulder. he already knows who you are - the tired-looking passenger who always, coincidentally, ends up sitting next to him. still, though, it's not like he knows you at all. he just pays attention to his surroundings better than most. so he finds it as almost second nature to shift himself a little, so you can be comfortable. sure enough, you unconsciously nuzzle your head into the crook between his shoulder and neck, your hair tickling his neck ever so slightly. he smiles softly, before yawning a little himself and resting his head on yours. maybe, he thinks, i could ask for their number when they wake up? just for their haircare products, nothing else...right?

childe, kaeya, venti, heizou, thoma

it takes him quite some time to process what's happening. head...pretty person...my shoulder? then it all comes to him in a tidal wave, and he gasps. ask anyone around the two of you what he acted like, and they'd likely respond with, "just like a high school boy finding his sweetheart!" he immediately went all red, his blush spanning from the back of his neck to his nose. as nearby passengers send him curious glances, he stammers and tries to clarify the situation - a fruitless attempt, really, as it seems he can't even manage to get a single word out. if only you were awake to see the impact your mere touch had on this man...he does, though, eventually calm down enough to let you have a good, undisturbed nap.

Genshin Characters During Finals Season (College AU)

Characters: Zhongli, Thoma, Venti, Xiao, Albedo, Bennett, Childe, Kaeya

Type/Genre: Bulleted headcanons, comedy

Warnings: Foul language, slightly suggestive humour/for comedic purposes

Zhongli

Calm and collected at first

As the days go by, Zhongli would start looking more and more like a tired dad

Walks around slightly frowning, bags under his eyes from all nighters, and clutching a mug of coffee so hard that people are afraid it’s gonna break, but even more afraid to tell him to be careful

Has heat compresses on the back of his neck and forehead to ease the headaches from the lack of sleep

Probably told Childe to shut the fuck up and mind your own business when he warned him about his cup

“Childe, if I do not kill this final I will kill you in its stead. Leave me be.”

Thoma

Probably part of one of those student care organizations that makes care packages for other students

His smile when he hands out the packages is so bright and healing it could bring back the dead

Always motivating his peers and tries to keep everyone’s spirits up

Offers to get everyone in the study group coffee

He’s not the best at school but he has a lot of friends that are willing to tutor him and do his assignments help him with his work

Likes to snack while he’s studying

“No giving up yet! Let’s take a snack break, you’ll think better with something in your belly.”

Venti

Chills at a coffee shop with a big friend group to “study”

They do jack shit

Probably spends more time staring at the drink menu than his exam notes

Grade A procrastinator, does all his homework the night before it’s due and studies for exams the morning of

Due tomorrow do tomorrow amiright

Always seems to do okay tho?? People wanna scold him for his bad study habits but he actually does okay in school so they can’t really say anything

Doesn’t study hard but parties 100x harder

“Come on, live a little! If your exam is at 2pm, you can just start studying at 9 tomorrow morning and you’ll be fine.”

Xiao

Pulls all nighter after all nighter after all nighter after all nighter after-

No one can ever find him during the day on campus or in his dorm—it’s like he despawned and just does not exist

Only time he is spotted by others is always at 3am in the morning like a cryptid and he looks like a zombie

He’s actually working a part time job along with going to classes and helping others with their work. An angry looking good boy.

Studies in the lecture halls by himself, blasting music as loud as he can on his headphones to keep himself awake

Mf going to go deaf is2g lower ur volume boi

“…hey. I’m getting a coffee, do you want one?”

Albedo

Plans his time meticulously. Has an extremely organized planner where he writes out exactly what he’s going to do at every hour of the day so he can maximize his week

Includes mealtimes, breaks, and poop times relaxation periods

Usually studies in his room, but for some reason people keep barging in on him to ask for study help so he has to find different hiding places to work in peace

So far, the best place has been the graduate students lounge. No he does not belong there, but no one questions him because it looks like he does

“If you really need my help, I have twenty seven and a half minutes between lunch and my bathroom break this Thursday. Come find me then.”

(Rejected quote: “What’s my masters in? No no, the only thing I’m a master of is your mom.”)

Bennett

The type of person to have the “please don’t talk to me I have work to do and if you talk to me I won’t stop” sign on his back while working in the library

Fell asleep while completing an assignment

Missed the midnight deadline for said assignment

Slept through the exam the next morning

At this point just let him sleep at least he won’t have to deal with it then

“That was a good nap…now I got the energy for my assignment and the exam!”

Childe

Would be a good student if he wasn’t bothering other people so often

Probably bakes when he’s stressed. His roommates are always awoken at 4 in the morning to the sound of the oven beeping and the heavenly smell of freshly baked cookies

Has a friendly rivalry with Zhongli. He always asks when Zhongli will be turning in an assignment, and what mark he’s aiming for for the final exam

Turns in the final paper at least a week before it’s due and aims for ten percent higher than Zhongli on the exam

If he needs bonus marks to reach that then so be it

Otherwise slacks off a bit

He’d be a really good student if he wasn’t so competitive with Zhongli all the time

“You good, Zhongles? You trying to squeeze a better grade out of that mug?”

Kaeya

This man probably used red bull as the liquid for his instant coffee

An absolute menace and loves messing with people

Tells them that the exam is on a whole other different thing than what they were studying for, or that the due date of a big assignment was changed

Nobody goes to him for help

If you do genuinely need help with a concept, though, he’s more than willing to help

Just make sure to provide adequate compensation for him ;)

By compensation I mean more red bull this man has drank 3 cans in ten minutes please stop him

Xiao

He's the local barista at the coffeeshop that works from Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to pay for his college fees

He doesn't talk much but his latte art can practically be featured in an art museum and many people actually come by often because of it

That's why you decided to drop by before your next class to get your daily dose of coffee and your daily dose of serotonin (aka Xiao)

You ordered your drink and really can't wait to see what Xiao makes you because what he draws changes every time he makes a new cup

And of course when you see a white glob shaped foam on your coffee, you can't help but be slightly disappointed

"Wait look at the post it on your cup", your friend pointed out before you were about to throw away the cup. The post-it reads "Don't worry y/n, he couldn't concentrate on making your latte because his hands kept shaking whenever he saw you staring"

Venti

The coffee shop is actually having a really slow day and you turn out to be the only one there, just trying to finish up your assignment, and then head back home

He notices how stressed you are, flipping the pages and scribbling on some piece of paper

Venti decides, what if he spices up your next coffee order, just a little bit ?

Venti puts your black coffee on the table and turns the cup so that the writing on it faces you.

"Are you my laptop, because you're so hot and im concerned ?" you read his horrendous pick up line back to Venti, raising your eyebrow.

"Its a miss ? Oh well I guess you'll have to stay a bit longer so that I can repay you with another coffee" as he winks and goes back to the counter.

Reading SVSSS: Chapter 5

For those who don't know, I am reading SVSSS for the first time and sharing my thoughts!

If you have not read it, there will be spoilers! Consider this a warning.

Back at my desk for chapter 5 today, but no Charlie; he has abandoned me :(Tea this evening is Lady Grey with some milk and sugar.

Can you all believe that this is the last chapter of book 1????!?!? One out of 4 done! Anyways- let's get into this short chapter:

OMG. I would have been so pissed if I was transmigrated somewhere and had to start as an infant with my entire adult brain. RIP those circumstances for Airplane (p 264)

Honestly though, I am so here for the argument between Shang Qinghua/Airplane & Shen Qingqiu/Shen Yuan. Fight it out! The fan/not fan and the author who has no idea what's happening LOL

okay but I stand with Shang Qinghua/Airplane -> Shen Yuan really does know a lot of the lore for someone who supposedly hates this book (p265)

Oh god airplane doesn't even know that shen qingqiu here was poisoned (p267)

(okay Re: not knowing about the poisoning- correction he does, I dont know why he was confused about the mushroom side quest though. If anyone has clarity about this comment pls!)

okay but what's this demon- it's kind of scary clever (p269)

the SASS of this system going through an update and only giving automated answers LOL (p270)

it's making me laugh that the actual author and creator of this world cannot recall a single side character's name XD (p272)

Shen Qingqiu still over here missing his boy. Re: Gongyi Xiao not being as good as Luo BInghe at picking up Shen Qingqiu's subtle non verbal cues while fighting and shen qingqiu being upset by it (p280)

I swear if that slither creature snatches those mushrooms before shen qingqiu has a chance to snag them I will be so pissed on his behalf (p282)

All three of them: WTF is that?!?!?! Airplane side eyeing shen yuan: did I write that tho??? (p.284)

RE: snatching the mushrooms- I don't think it can touch the mushrooms(?)

OMG. Shen qingqiu just made mortal enemies with this fish snake man (p 287)

At this point I don't know if he is trying to gaslight himself. But no matter what, Shen Qingqiu is really convincing people he's a little unwell about losing Luo Binghe. He mentally tells himself he's fine but man is his behaviour wild. (p 289)

OOp. Airplane calling Shen Yuan out about his feelings regarding Luo Binghe 👀 (p 290) Which Shen Qingqiu completely fails to respond to.

That's it for book 1!!!!!

I am NOT ready for the next turn of events. That foreshadowing at the end with this mushroom plot! These mushrooms better survive or poor Shen Qingqiu is fucked.

I cannot wait to start book 2 tomorrow!!!
