#actors I can’t stand

Ok ok, hear me out. I by NO MEANS like Jared Leto as a person, but why are people flat out saying he can’t act? Like sure if you look at Suicide Squad or Morbius, as your sole source then maybe. Even then I’m bias, because I love Morbius with my whole soul.

But I digress. He’s not an awful actor. In fact two of my favorite films of all time have him in it. Look at American Psycho or Requiem for a Dream. Both films are stunning and wouldn’t be the same without him in it. Like I said, he’s not a good person. But he does know how to act, when the role he’s given is properly type casted. So maybe he’s not a GREAT actor, cause his range is limited. But in range he’s not shit.

“If you want more representation” okay but what if they did a better job than all the other actors???

Like, with PJO Rick didn’t go “only black people can audition for Annabeth!! Grover has to be Indian! Zeus has to be black!”

No, the actors auditioned, did a good job, and got the gig.

Like instead of crying cause all these white actors didn’t get it, ask yourself if they even deserved the position.

tiktok is crazy. someone fancast jason mamoa as charles smith for a live action reproduction, which is insane. but then people are pointing out the insanity in the comments, and people are choosing to play dumb as to why charles’ race is important when it comes to casting. specifically, someone is asking why that matters.

like…. did you not play the game? charles’ racial identity plays a huge role in all the bullshit he’s experienced, all the trauma from his past and the constant racial remarks he is on the receiving end of in game. it’s INCREDIBLY important and relevant, and definitely fucking matters.

getting more pissed off the more i keep seeing those photos of the actress playing joan on set of the bob biopic because WHY do they have her dressed as if she’s a clone of bob. it doesn’t make any fucking sense at all when did she ever dress like that i don’t think she ever did. and i know it’s only a few photos from like one day of them shooting this thing i’m sure new things will come to be and we’ll see some different costume choices but for now What the hell was that

early series natori is fun cause he really does have good intentions mostly (like there’s undeniably some selfishness and manipulation behind his actions cause that’s what’s been hammered into him) but he’s also so fucking oblivious and inexperienced when it comes to human interaction and has never tried to befriend a single person in his life and he assumes natsume is his mini-me/younger clone who has the exact same desires as him and of course this child will want to be my best friend once he knows We’re The Same and I’m so pretty and charming why wouldn’t some teenager want to be friends with famous actor natori shuuichi [ends up pissing this kid off immensely and pushing all his buttons]

i just noticed something about audiobooks that have both a voice actor and actress (for different pov’s…) rather than have the former speak the male characters in the latter’s pov chapters (and vice versa), usually they’re just separate …?
