Elle / Lo, she / her, 21 (nearly 22), eastern daylight / standard time, 18+ ONLY, and NSFW-friendly!
Feel free to send me random messages, whether that be just chatting, or "hey, this reminded me of our rp(s)!" I am a huge huge brainrot fan, so I'd like someone also willing to liquify their brain with me! As mentioned, I'd love to become friends with my RP partners!
I'd like one reply a week minimum, but 2-3x a week during this summer season is preferred! However, I don't mind since life can get in the way! If you can, just let me know and I'll do the same
I do not ghost, and would prefer not to be ghosted. If either one of us lost inspiration, we can plot something new. Or if it isn't going to work out, no hard feelings! We can just let the other know :) Since I do not ghost, I am selective
I've been writing for a while now! I am (advanced) literate / novella style, and I ask for a similar style from a partner but I do try to match! If you write a lot in a response, chances are, I'll write a lot in return.
I'm best with mxf and fxf pairings, but I am confident I could do a few mxm pairings well. I have not done nb characters yet, but I'd love to! I'm open to trying things I haven't if you wanna talk to me about it!
Some pairings / fandoms I believe I can do well (bolded are favorites of mine or characters / couples i've done before):
Fandomless RP (original plotting & brainstorming!!)
-
Marvel | Peter Parker x OC (as either. Most familiar with MCU!Peter and PS4!Peter, but I am ride or die for Andrew Garfield)
Constant Peter Parker brainrot; always willing to write with / for him. Current most-desired is PS4!Peter!
-
MCU | Bucky Barnes × Natasha Romanoff (as Bucky)
MCU | Bucky Barnes × Yelena Belova (have never done this pairing, but I have done both characters)
MCU | Wanda Maximoff x Canon x OC (discuss with me!)
MCU | Yelena Belova x OC (most desired!)
MCU | OC x OC (most desired!)
-
VERY ANTI-JKR! This is still done only out of the love for this universe and its characters, and Daniel Radcliffe is my favorite funky guy 🥹
Harry Potter | Fred Weasley × Hermione Granger (as either)
Harry Potter | Harry Potter × Hermione Granger (as either)
Harry Potter | Harry Potter x Luna Lovegood (as Harry)
Harry Potter | Remus Lupin x OC (as either)
Harry Potter | George Weasley x OC (big big george lovebot 🥺)
Harry Potter | OC x OC
Harry Potter | Wolfstar (Remus-lean, but I can try Sirius)
-
ATLA | Aang x Katara (Kataang truther, won't lie)
ATLA | Zuko x OC
ATLA | OC x OC
-
The Hunger Games (Everlark 🥹)
(TV or game) The Last of Us | Joel x OC (OC-lean, willing to try Joel)
The Last of Us | Ellie x OC
The Last of Us | OC x OC
Life is Strange | OC x OC. Favorite settings are the settings of the first game and True Colors! The newest game, Double Exposures, can also be a setting
Fire Emblem (3h, Awakening)
Bioshock
RPF (can be discussed!)
///
Like / interact with this, and I'll DM you, or please DM me! I only RP over Discord and I use Tupperbox. I can guide you through using it, if you need! ✨

if mcyt isn’t fiction then
people who create dnd characters that are similar to them in personality are just playing themselves and should not be treated as having made a character
people who make any other dnd character should also be treated as just playing themselves since people refuse to even consider roleplay smps as fiction
any ocs someone puts a bit of themselves into? nope not fiction!
actors who play a character with the same first name as them aren’t really acting
and so on
maybe YOU can’t separate characters and real people and think that everything you see from a youtuber even when they’re explicitly acting is how they are in real life but we as a fandom just don’t have that issue lol. we’ve had disclaimers and indicators for when we’re talking about characters and not content creators for years because a certain smp contained a character having suicidal thoughts as a result of abuse at the hands of another character and we needed to make it absolutely crystal clear that we were referring to a fictional storyline and not real guy #1 being an abuser and real guy #2 being suicidal. these customs have either extended into other corners of mcyt fandom, or some developed their own independently like hispanic mcyt fans have used the word cubito to distinguish mc guy from real life guy from years, a term that other language speakers liked so much we’ve also started picking it up lol
we know exactly what we’re doing. i get that the line maybe does seem more blurred to an outsider looking in (i wouldn’t know given that both my first fandom at age 12 and current fandom at age 20 were mcrp lol) but it’s universally understood amongst us. i don’t have a problem separating hermitcraft!gem and empires s1!gem the wizard with a twin brother and empires s2!gem the princess and cc!gem the real life canadian woman.
idk it rubs me the wrong way that after years of trying to explain this we’re either met with people calling us racists because of three guys that the rest of us (all of us, really, because dream team fans do not claim to be minecraft fans. those are the type to actually write rpf and ship the real life racist guys) hate probably a lot more than any of you do, or they watch a few minutes of a less roleplay-heavy series/part and decide that the entire medium is invalid as a form of storytelling
it’s so annoying. i don’t think we need to be understood to have validity as a fandom we’ve been doing this for years already without that but it is so infuriating and sad how whenever there’s some kind of fandom poll thing one of three things happens
mcyt fans are banned outright and placed on the same level as something like hp
an mcyt fan runs their own and gets harassed for it
a non-mcyt fan allows us in until they get harassed so badly by whatever fandoms we go up against that they end up deleting our bracket
in what world is that normal behaviour. and that harassment always involves calling them all racist cishet white men such as misgendering both eret (real life bisexual genderqueer person) and their character (also queer), attempting to harass jimmy solidarity fans because jimmy makes mc videos so he must be a dream associate (the only time they interacted was in a tournament during which dream and georgenotfound shittalked jimmy’s best friends to his face), all the shit quackity has gotten for being a former friend of the dream team as if he wasn’t the #1 victim of their racism and xenophobia, the fact that any time c!technoblade is involved in a poll we have to beg other fandoms not to talk shit about him because the real life man died of cancer before dream’s grooming allegations came out, similarly when tfc was in one. and so on and so forth. all because people can’t separate roleplay and real life and think that the entire minecraft sphere revolves around dream just because their idea of mcyt does (not even his own smp named after him did that).

Hello and welcome to RP Partner Finder!
The goal of this blog is to help 18+ roleplayers find other adults to write stories with. We aim to create a space for mature, like-minded people to find eachother. As such our primary demographic is older adults.
We are not a roleplay blog, we are a roleplay advertising blog. If you are 18+ and looking for other roleplayers you can submit an ad to this blog and we will post it.
We do not discriminate against most adult content. However, we do not accept ads with requests for underage users or characters, real person fiction, or ads that contain racists terms. For further details, please read our rules before submitting an ad.
-- TEN-ISH RULES FOR SUBMITTING TO RP-PARTNERFINDER-- FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THESE SIMPLE RULES WILL RESULT IN YOUR AD BEING DELETED
1. Not all stories posted contain smut or dark themes, but YOU MUST BE 18+ TO SUBMIT OR CONTACT PEOPLE FROM THIS BLOG.
2. Your ask/submission MUST include the minimum age you are seeking. ex "LOOKING FOR 18+ 25+ 30+ etc." or some variation. Stating your own age is not enough. Posts that include "No Minors"/"Of Age People"/"Legal Age Only" and no minimum age will be DELETED. This rule is not negotiable and is the most commonly broken rule, so please do not avoid this step.
3. We no longer allow "maximum ages" in ads. (ie 20-25, 18-22, etc.) We believe this excludes many of our users and goes against the spirit of this blog. For further explaination you can read this blog post and this blog post.
4. We will not publish ads looking for underage roleplayers or characters. NSFW involving child characters (canon or original) will not be posted. NO EXCEPTIONS.
5. Child and minor characters MUST be aged up, regardless of NSFW material. It is the blog's assumption that all characters are 18+ or that characters will be aged up for RP unless stated otherwise.
6. This blog is lgbtqia+ and kink friendly, but keep NSFW mentions vague (this is to avoid getting the blog flagged). Listing kinks/fetishes is okay (for now.)
7. No Real Person Fiction. This includes KPop bands! RPs looking for a certain faceclaim are allowed. It is this blog's assumption that "actor-verse" requests are not for RPF.
8. When looking for it, please use “omegaverse” when making your ad. Posts containing A/B/O in any form will result in your ad being deleted.
9. Do not send ads multiple times. Posts on this blog are queued and the current wait time from submission to post is 5-7 days. We are no longer answering asks or DMs about when your ad will be posted.
10. Group roleplays are allowed. You may also send submissions to advertise your own RP Ad Blog. We will not promote blogs that have underage users. For additional guidelines please see this post.
11. Mods have final say in any postings and any non-ad material will be tagged "mod mail." All hate mail will be deleted, no exceptions.
Thank you for reading!
For additional advice on writing your ad, check this post.

Re: Dearly Beloved in-universe fandom, it struck me that I have somehow never mentioned in-universe superhero/villain/whatever fanart despite fanart being such a core (and more importantly visible) component of fandom. (While mentioning fanfiction, subreddits, touching on fancams and ASMR roleplays etc etc) And I guess it makes sense because this is text, I don't really know they look like, and it's hard to describe visuals given the format I've constrained myself to. But I also feel like this blind spot has to do with other fandom-related meta lol. (Self indulgent and long rambling)
1. Superheroes/villains are classified as "real people". In real life fandoms, while there's fanart of famous real people (actors in movies, singers, Kpop groups, athletes, F1 drivers, etc), there's less fanart compared to fanart of characters (anime, video games, books, etc). I assume this is because you need to have a certain level of skill to capture a real person's likeliness nicely. And real people may feel offended upon seeing "bad" fanart of themselves, whereas fictional people can't feel offended.
But superheroes/villains are masked and often wear helmets for safety. So you don't need the skill to draw their real life faces. Their suits are probably visually distinctive which makes it fun to draw (and cosplay!).
2. Superheroes/villains aren't just famous real people. There's a political connotation, in which it could be dangerous to support villains and people may not like heroes because they're like fantasy cops with powers. Especially in this context in which the government controls the heroes, there's whole system to raise heroes from children, there's censorship and conspiracies. Bringing to the third point:
3. Fanart is a very visual. (No shit, Sherlock.) Okay, in the sense people outside of the fandom are more likely to encounter fanart. It's also a publicly liked form of fandom, in comparison to fanfiction. I guess edits and cosplay are also liked and respected, but probably less common than fanart. (Insert something about my positionality as a fan of MCYT who writes fanfic, something about MCYT loving fanart and including it in their videos, commissioning artists, whereas fanfic (rightfully and thankfully imo) stays underground) So people who write hero RPF are already seen as "weirdos" and "the corner of the Internet you shouldn't see". It's not taken seriously. But if someone posted hero fanart on Twitter, normies would see this as liking / endorsement of said hero, whereas fanfiction would not get this kind of visibility. (And is shunned upon probably no matter what you write because fanfiction is generalised is "weird thing Wattpad teenage girls do when they want to bang a famous person".)
3.1. Back to the MCYT fandom thing. Heroes/villains can be compared to MCYT since they look different on and off camera (with and without their suits, like Minecraft skins and designs), they use different names for their different identities, and they put on a public persona. Similarly, I can imagine heroes finding fanart of their hero persona flattering and occasionally engaging with it on Twitter. (Whereas fanfiction stays underground.)
3.2. So I loveeee parodying the "cringe" Wattpad fics, not because I want to make fun of them, but because it's enjoyable to write without restraint. (And it's funny.) I think the general style is so unapologetically fun (and nostalgic). I have a lot of things to say about Wattpad (in defence of its users!), but it mostly boils down to young people being excited and earnest. I know a lot of people hate Wattpad, especially its RPF. I find it fascinating. Because someone (often tweens) had to be motivated to write that, someone had to have the passion to do it, and they'll do it badly (knowingly or not), because writing as a hobby is supposed to be fun! It's the essence of it! And it's the "bad" kind of fanfiction that I want to pay respect to. The kind that people look upon with disdain. The kind YouTubers make fun of. Because more often than not it's a thirteen year old being silly/stupid and it's mean to make fun of kids earnestly trying to make something.
Anyways in the universe, fanfiction sites become a place to store government censored conspiracies/theories because they fly under the radar compared to Reddit and Youtube.
4. I always felt I wanted to write the story instead of Tweetgen-ing it. Maybe it felt more "serious". And mimicing social media with text/HTML is easier than graphics. Now I feel like the utter lack of visuals in a social media fic (when social media is extremely visual, almost obnoxiously so) makes me focus on text itself— dialogue, transcripts, usernames, Tumblr tagging, YouTube comments, notices about subreddits being taken down, to-do lists, "confirm to delete" text boxes. In-universe fanfiction (both the Wattpad and Ao3 type) is taken seriously in the sense it helps with storytelling— it shows differing attitudes to events and public figures. It shows what type of perception is popular.
Anyways. I'm not sure this is interesting and I'm probably rambling inside my head. I guess I do love fanfiction as an art form. And I do admire and respect the earnest writers and readers on Wattpad. I still occasionally wake up to like 30 comments on a Wattpad fic from 4 years ago. I'm glad people still read it lmao.

I feel like in general c!sbi got butchered in most common fanfiction trends because writers tended to forgo their canon relationships for much more...cookie cutter ones I guess? There's the bio family fics where Techno, Tommy, and Wilbur are all Phil's kids, the dark fics where Phil is a violently abusive parent to Wilbur and Tommy, the fics where they're portrayed as a seemingly evil group of 'good guys', etc. And there's nothing wrong with people writing these fics, I don't have issues with the individual authors, but it's tiring when these ideas become large enough that they tend to overtake works based off of their actual dynamics. Like. Phil's attempted kindness but complete lack of understanding or connection to Wilbur is interesting!! Tommy, bearing no relation to Phil, being the one to try to bridge the distance between them and being the only person to seek out his advice is interesting! Tommy and Wilbur not being biological brothers who weren't raised together adds layers to their dynamic! Techno's shifting relationship with Tommy over the course of Pogtopia to Doomsday was interesting!!
I also may be off base on this, but I feel like more often than not when an author cracks out 'The Dream Team' as the main antagonists, they're much more likely to have completely different characterization than if an author chose one of them to focus on. IDK. I think many people try to look for tropes to slot characters into, and having multiple characters with complex relationships treated in that way tends to make the results more egregious.
mmhm mmhm -- i'd say that the cc dynamics kiiiiiinda influence a lot here shrug. the idea of "sbi versus dteam" has its roots in conflicts that are decidedly not based on the dream smp roleplay, honestly, and a lot of that carried over into the fanworks that were supposedly based on the dream smp but really took a lot of creative liberties dabbling in elements of both rpf and fic about the server itself.
not that that's a bad thing, or anything! people can write what they want, etc. but it sure did lead to a lot of err misleading? i guess? "advertising" when it came to people's "dsmp AUs" -- maybe confusing is a better word. like, look ooc-ness is something that every fandom has to deal with, but in most fandoms fanon isn't so obviously based on what is still the fandom, but like. a part of the fandom that's technically kinda separated from the fiction of the fandom. most of the time with actors they don't necessarily have a whole career founded on their playing a persona with other people in a context that ISN'T acting yknow? or maybe there is it's not like id know lmao
but yeah the phenomenon of bleedover from cc personas is all too real in this fandom, for better and for worse

One of the first things asked in survey #2 was “What makes a fanwork not RPF?”.
Now, there isn’t one concrete answer to this. In fact, the majority of people’s responses to this question fell into one of three categories:
Having aspects of being a “character”
Not being “out of character”
Author/Artist intent
(There were also a few instances of people thinking RPF stood for Roleplay Fiction)
To expand upon the first two, Joel (Smallishbeans) states in a QnA:
“When you see me in these videos, this is not what I’m like in real life most of the time. When I’m acting all crazy and stuff that is me just messing around, having fun, and sort of like playing a character where the character is myself. But I guess for me to actually do that, I guess part of it has to be me, as I do come up with these ideas all by myself and they are a bit weird sometimes.”
And in E. T. Hetzler's "Actor Self vs. Character Self: An Empirical Exploration", they paraphrase a chapter from A Dictionary of Theatre Anthropology by Franco Ruffini.
“The actor does not have the luxury of distance. The actor must create the illusion for the audience. But for this to be the case, the actor must surely see a distinct separation between the character and his/her personal self. This is not always an easy distinction to make.”
They go on to poll actors about their relationship with their role. Nearly 75% of respondents answered "It depends on the role and production. I can be detached or immersed." to the question of "How important is it to become your character?"
Tumblr media
A few responses caught my eye in the survey I did as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But regarding Author/Artist intent?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alright alright… what does this have to do with anything?
Once the essay I’m writing on this subject is out there, I will no longer have control of how it’s interpreted. Nor this slideshow. The same goes for any form of art, fanwork or otherwise. Even with the responses to the survey, I probably didn’t get exactly what was intended out of them!
Being both an author and someone who enjoys analysis, on top of someone who enjoys reading, I’m in a bit of a tricky spot. Do I subscribe to Roland Barthes’s proposal that “the birth of the reader must be ransomed by the death of the Author”? That the author must “die” in order to give space for the reader?
Or do I follow the whims of the statistician in me? To say, for certain, what is true or false about the data given?
Do I follow the wants of the author in me? To say, for certain, what is right or wrong about a piece of canon?
An author should be given space to share what they believe about their story.
A statistician should be given space to explain their reasoning.
But as viewer of the work provided, you should be able to come to your own conclusions and interpretations about a piece of media. Author intent be damned.
After reading the answers to this survey, I think it’s safe to say that I am in the minority that believes intent doesn’t matter. That as the reader, you are able to interpret other’s work however you see fit.
So I invite you to criticize my analysis of the data. I’m not perfect, and I’m still learning. But I can and will try to see different interpretations of the data.

sorry this is a deeply silly question but i am very new to mcyt, what do c/cc mean?
not silly at all if you're unfamiliar! c/c! stands for character, so exclusively the fictional character that appears in the roleplay and their actions, while cc/cc! stands for content creator, meaning the streamer/youtuber/actor behind it. this started i believe with dsmp streams where a lot of fans of the roleplay were also fans of the ooc streams, so if there was discussion it helped to clarify. eg. if people were talking about the exile arc, they might want to clarify that c!dream had hurt tommy or called tommy something, so people didn't assume it was a real thing that happened... it's also used to differentiate between different characters played by the same person- for example, if someone was talking about tubbo, they might use c!tubbo (dsmp), q!tubbo (qsmp), o!tubbo (origins smp)... it's also used a lot for shipping discussions so that people who don't want to associate with rpf can make it clear they're shipping fictional characters rather than the real people. the actual usefulness and where the line is drawn between c! and cc! is very vague and often differs from person to person so it's a tricky but interesting discussion.

the way people act about shipping the Minecraft guys is insane like guys its roleplay. They’re roleplaying. They're characters. When someone ships tv show characters do they think they’re rpf shipping the real actors
im going to be honest im not even shipping minecraft guys at this point im shipping the fucking. gayass phasmophobia characters.

Welcome to the-merry-resources!
Hi you can call me Shopkey, I run themerrymutants and recently realized that it might not be a bad idea to share some of my resources so I made this sideblog. I will also do small batches of icon commissions running at about $10 per 100 icons.
Rules:
All actors must be over 18
No actors that have stated discomfort in being used for roleplay
No RPF. Period. End of story.
No deceased actors
All icons will be 100x100 for the sake of my poor eyes
I'm by no means a professional but I will do my best to make sure they come out looking good.

❤️Hey there I’m Neph (18M) I’m looking for a fandomless MxM omegaverse slice of life roleplay. Of course all characters within the roleplay would be original characters with irl fcs, this is not RPF (Real Person Fiction). I’ll be playing the omega in whichever ship we choose.
Im looking for the following ships:
Omega Actor/Alpha Celebrity
Omega Fan/Alpha Celebrity
Omega Bakery Owner/Alpha Brewery Owner
I’d be more than happy to brainstorm more ideas, I’ll reach out to whoever likes this post.

RPF - my stance in a repost
I write fanfictions. However, there are two different flavors of fanfiction imo. Stories based on characters portrayed in media and stories about the actors portraying them, also known as RPF or Real Person Fiction. I will write stories based on Henry Cavill's characters, but....
Henry Cavill himself. RPF. Real Person Fiction. Fan fiction about Henry Cavill himself and not one of the characters he's portrayed. Have I written it? Yes. A little two-parter reader insert was the first thing I ever wrote when I joined the Cavillry and I will sometimes post little chat...thingies featuring him and an OFC. But there is a reason why I went from a longer form with a plot, to a chat-style format.
And that is comfort. I can not comfortably write about him in situations entirely of my own making. He is a real person. He exists off a page and off a screen. He has his own thoughts and feelings and motivations and dreams, etc. He is not a fictional character. He is a real person.
It comes down to would I be okay with that kind of situation? Would I, myself be okay with someone writing about me personally in situations I would never be in, saying things I would never say? No, I wouldn't. I would be incredibly uncomfortable. And if say, whoever was writing it, put me in sexual situations? I would feel violated. That is a massive invasion of privacy, I would feel...dirty to read something like that. To read myself having naked times with another person that is either fictional, or another actual person.
Actors are not characters. They are real people. You cannot offend a fictional character in real life, you can not make a fictional character uncomfortable in real life. They exist entirely as a way to tell a story. Actors don't. They tell stories for their jobs, yes, but they are not their characters and they are not characters themselves. When I was in the Marvel fandom, I had a Sigyn rp (roleplaying) blog. There were people who roleplayed as Tom Hiddleston. Not Loki. Tom Hiddleston. The man himself. That didn't sit right with me and I did not interact with those people. He is not a character that you can do whatever you want to with, he is a real person.
Do I read RPF? No. I don't. Do I judge those who write RPF? No. I don't. If it gives you serotonin, then by all means, but please keep in mind that this is a real person who exists in real life, not a plot device.
"But Catie, you post those chat---"
Yes I do. They are harmless, they are innocent. Am I putting words in his mouth? Yes. But I am putting him in potentially compromising situations? No. The "situations" that I'm putting him in are silly, they're nothing. It doesn't revolve around him, it revolves around the OFC, he just happens to be there.
Actors are not characters. Real people are not characters. They are not fictional. The sandbox you are playing in when you write RPF is someone's actual life, not a work of fiction. I doubt anyone who writes RPF will see this, but if you do, I want you to ask yourself, would you be okay with someone writing about you in the way that you write about these real people. If the answer is yes, then by all means, keep on truckin'. You do you. If the answer is no, then you need to decide whether or not you want to keep doing that to that person. That real person.
