I restarted my island on acnh recently and I hadn't ever noticed how when you give a resident certain animals they keep them. I pressed the "I have something for you" by accident, I panicked and gave the villager an emperor butterfly. Now she keeps it in her house by the front door, a permanent reminder of a miniscule moment.

At first I looked at these islanders ready to get rid of them, now I think if Renée ever left it would feel like I had a friend die.

Stamp rally time again! For the... fourth time, I think? I didn't really participate as much this year as I have in previous years. I still have half a dozen of each commemorative plaque in storage, after selling dozens of the things last year. I don't even need as many as I have. But here I am, still sitting on a serious stash of the things for no reason.

Leo/need has an acnh island and it is pure chaos /pos.

Ichika is the island ambassador and is asked by saki to change the island tune approximately every week, and she spends a lot of time planting trees, flowers, and talking to villagers.

Shiho has befriended all the bunny villagers and has all their photos, but claims, “it’s just so I have something to put on the walls,” she also definitely spent the most time on the wedding event at harv’s island.

Saki has the most amazing gyroid collection and will make small songs with them, she’s also a FIEND at the dlc and has spent too many hours making villager vacay homes.

Honami definitely does most of the island maintenance (pulling weeds, watering/breeding flowers, stamping cockroaches) yet somehow has the least hours out of them all. She is also the one with all the recepies so the others will often need to ask her to make them chairs/food/hats.

One of them modded the vsingers in and this somehow got miku + co access to it so sometimes they get random gifts from them.

acnh npc oc/sona! his name is spots, he trades counterfeit art for new art items and diy recipes- mostly fruit themed. he also trades fruit for ingredients for his diy recipes.

he appears as a visitor like flick and cj, usually around the museum. he also appears inside the museum for a yearly art appreciation event, sorta like the museum stamp rally.

he likes blathers and talks about him fondly, and sees flick as a friendly rival. his opinions on redd are... unknown.

THIS GIRL IN FASHION IS ACC ANNOYING THE FUCK OUTTA ME. she said that i would grow out of playing gacha games (SUUUUUUPER CONDESCENDINGLY BTW)… we were making leather keychains and we had to stamp letters in them so i was like “hehe what if i put aventurine” (AVENTURINE MY LOVE I LOVE AVENTURINE) and she asks who? and i explain he’s from hsr. and she says AND I QUOTE “ohhhh honkai star rail, thats a gacha game, yeah i used to play gacha games like a few years ago, dont worry you’ll grow out of it” and she like waves her hand and im thinking grow out of it? tf you mean? so i hs respond “uhh i like gacha games… they r pretty fun, esp hsr i like the story and the characters” and she says SUUUUUPER CONDESCENDINGLY “haha dont worry you’ll grow out of them” LIKE SHE SOOOOOOO MUCH OLDER THAN ME AND SOOOOO MUCH MORE WISE (WE ARE THE SAME FUCKING AGE. in my (f)unemployment season (so far), which is both by choice and not by choice because i chose to resign, but i also got rejected in all of the job applications i’ve applied for so far (so far, because we still be looking, and it’s only been two weeks since my last day at work) so unemployed not by choice, but by circumstance (?). anyway, this did allow me to catch up on some stuff (besides cleaning my room since i was 15 so that i can sleep soundly and not wake up with a bad case of allergies), and by stuff, i meant the regular rotation of the games i play:

rushed the month-long animal crossing new horizons’ museum event to celebrate the museum and galleries month. we also have our national cultural heritage month on may so that’s another reason to go back and visit my acnh museum since i wasn’t able to do so in real life ƈ ͡ (ुŏ̥̥̥̥ ‸ ŏ̥̥̥̥) ु not even blaming work since part of my last responsibility as a resignee is to finsih and submit all the necessary paperworks and other requirements for clearance (or i won’t get the last of my salary, and the Lord knows i need those funds to sustain me while i go looking for work), but i digress. anyway, usually i do drop by galleries and museums when i can during may since most museums and galleries do have their entrance fees revoked the entire month as a way to encourage more people to drop by so i’ll just do that next year irl.

i’ve been playing acnh since the year it was released, and if there’s one place in my island that i still love going around when i’m done with the intended tasks for the day, it’s the kemeroot museum (my island’s name is kemeroot, btw). ofc i took screenshots on my switch. here’s my character as she crams the stamp rally on the last day.

i remember how i used to play this religiously on the year of its release, that i was able to amass around 2k hours of running around kemeroot, terraforming, planting, landscaping, renovating, and decorating but i’m still not yet done with the ✨final form✨ of kemeroot. i’ve yet to check the number of hours i have alloted for this game now that i’ve been playing it again frequently.

june and july are months of hydrangeas in acnh, too, so i intend to do a lot of photoshoots and redecorating in my island because i love hydrangeas irl and in games.

another favourite in-game activity for me is visiting the cafe inside the museum, too. it’s only in-character for my acnh character to enjoy coffee the same amount as i do.

i totally forgot about the 10-photo limit tumblr imposes on mobile so there’ll be another entry that centers on unsolicited updates about genshin and star rail. and here i am thinking i could type them all down in one entry 😭
