somehow this week is 3 hours long and these little pockets of time i have to scroll and be silly are being consumed with chess. i'm afraid i am developing a new (old) hobby.

#i think it was a few days ago that a poll about chess was circlilating #(yes that was intentional)#and that kinda stuck with me. i downloaded the chess app like 2 days ago and have been playing a fair bit #winning rate is about 80% so!! not so bad!!#(yes i'm still on easy mode but 🥺 haven't played in years so)#before anyone asks - no i have not seen queen's gambit. no i have no interest. i'm sure it's great. still a no.#i feel like a grandma cus my only phone games are sudoku / chess / solitaire #and that colour puzzle game with the little hue squares #everything else i play gets deleted in less than a week #anyways. today i was thinking of Daniel from the House of the Rising Sun post. my cute 70s heartthrob with the cool jacket #i think i'm gonna watch an episode of that tonight. not sure i wanna pick it up during the car ride or a few days later #(this is your sign to treat your mind scenarious like different tv shows 💙 it may not be the healthiest coping mechanism #but i'd rather think about cool vintage bars and hot guys than listening to all the negative stuff swirling around 👍)#anyways x 2. today was my mom's birthday and i made a really cute chocolate cake. i don't usually go for just choccy but it's her fav so.#i need to decorate my acnh island for halloween. and read so much stuff. augh #darya talks to herself

okay after a long week, things are lookin up!

#ss original #1. got an interview offer from a job literally just doing laundry in a hotel but it pays a dollar above state minimum wage #which would be chill #cause then i can just do that part time and get an income #and go through a vet tech program #2. manager that had to lay me off emailed me and said a sister clinic needs someone for the position i had with them #its like a half hour drive away as opposed to the hotel which is five minutes #it would be good to just right back in to working in vet med #but also its the same company so im lowkey like. what if i take that job. and get laid off again in a couple months #i would actually have a fucking breakdown #but god its been so boring #im just like doing dishes and playing acnh and walkabout minigolf #and ive started practicing french again #so thats good #guess ive got some decisions to make soon #i kinda favor the hotel job a bit cause its low stakes and i can easily go through the program alongside it #and i just it actually pays a little more #for probably less demanding work #hmmm #and less gas to buy since its so close #HMMMMM #and ive continued volunteering at the animal shelter but there arent many cats this time of year so not much to do

I was getting dysphoric from the name I picked for my animal crossing island rep (not my deadname dw) so I decided to restart and I got Cherry and Bam as my starters!!!!

I love both of them since Cherry was on my first island and Bam was staying at my campsite on Pocket Camp it’s like it was meant to be!!!

#plus the early game is really fun. i don’t regret restarting at all #well ok. maybe a Little bit since i had a natural heart pond #but the new island layout is really nice!#and i can terraform a heart pond later if I want #animal crossing #animal crossing new horizons #acnh #cherry acnh #bam acnh
