All I can say is “Wow!” 🤩 I felt like I was touring in Europe through much of the island. The area that looks like Venice has my heart 💗

ACNH dream journal #17 - Lost Isle @junebug-crossing

There are so many things to love about Lost Isle. You can tell a huge amount of attention and care went into it. The island is a collection of beautiful little scenery and plenty of open spaces to navigate easily. Sceneries range from super cute little pigpen to the amazing Lost Woods from Zelda.

The interiors are all stunning, it was definitely one of the highlights of my visit! I loved how many sceneries/interiors played on symmetry, it was definitely interesting to see and take inspiration from!

1. Are you named after anyone?

My parents stole my name from my aunt, who was considering it for my cousin.   I was born first so the name went to me instead.  It’s a random one out of a book. 

2. When was the last time you cried?

A few months ago I think... definitely baby-related.  

3. Do you have kids?

His five-month birthday was a few days ago!  

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Almost never

5. What sports do you play/have you played?

I’ve played softball and baseball on formal teams and I was on the middle school gymnastics team.  Up til middle school I considered myself good at sports, I was usually picked first /second in pickup games (privilege of having an earlier birthday than others). Puberty wasn’t kind and now I don’t play many sports at all, maybe like pickleball or badminton, sports where you don’t have to run.  I do have fairly good coordination & reflexes though.  

6. What’s the first thing you notice about other people?

Usually weight... sadly....  

7. What’s your eye colour?

Same as munen (dark brown).  

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

Depends on my mood, if I’m depressed I want the happy ending.  In general I want movies to not be predictable (same as munen again).  

9. Any special talents?

I can touch my nose with my tongue 

10. Where were you born?

One town over from where I currently live 

11. What are your hobbies?

Reading is the main one, or if I’m feeling stressed out I’ll buy children’s craft kits and do them. A while back my stress hobby was watching ACNH videos on youtube and updating my island; before that it was watching bullet journalling videos and prettifying my bullet journal.   Writing & playing video games are my big social hobbies I’ll do to find a community and make friends but both require a big chunk of uninterrupted time so I haven’t been able to do either lately.

I have complaints about my job (high school math teacher), it’s stressful, but overall I can’t think of anything else I’d want to do more.

1. are you named after anyone? yeah after someone in the bible. But then my name was almost going to be after a female historical figure (a warrior) and if I was a boy I would be named after someone in the Quran.

2. when was the last time you cried? I don't remember but I did get emotional yesterday when I watched Last Holiday 💀

1. Are you named after anyone?

Not that I know of. Had i been amab, mom would have named me after the man she believed should have been her soulmate (but wasn't my dad). They met in Italy while she was interrailing and her wristwatch died when he introduced himself. (His name was Alex)

2. When was the last time you cried?

Around and after April 19, after hearing the news of Moon Bin's passing.

3. Do you have kids?

No, but I would love to have someday. I'm just not in a situation where it would be wise for me to raise a child, I feel.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

No, that's not really my speed.

5. What is the first thing you notice about a person?

Outfit and overall expression of self. The manner in which they treat me. (I mostly meet customers. You can tell instantly which ones are nice)

6. What’s your eye color?

Green. The type of annoying green that ya authors wax poetic abt lol you know what I mean

7. Scary movie or happy ending?

These two are not mutually exclusive. A satisfying ending is more important, but I would prefer if its also a happy one. I'm trying to watch more scary things.

8. Any special talents?

I can pop most of my joints. I love organising and categorising things for myself and for others. It's pretty difficult to deter me.

9. Where were you born?

Ivalo, northern Finland. I have not lived there since I was a toddler

10. What are your hobbies?

Gardening, bullet journaling, digital drawing. Tabletop rpgs (starfinder and dnd, we used to play pathfinder). Reading and trying to be more active in watching different movies. Id love to say video games but ive only really played The Sims 4 and Acnh lately. Running when the weather allows it.

11. Do you have any pets?

Not anymore, but I used to have an older gentleman miniature poodle who was too tall to actually fit the miniature category. I love him dearly. One day I would like to get another dog, probably another poodle. I love how particular they are about things.

12. What sports do you/have you played?

I used to compete in swimming until I started high school. I've also danced a wide variety of genres from ages 7 to 19, and attended a couple of national competitions for modern dance. I had to quit because my joints got too fucked up and I fell out of friendship with my back then bestie. Now I just run and do home youtube workouts because I don't like going to the gym.

13. How tall are you?

161 cm ish I think? Which is like... 5'3 or sth

14. Favourite subject in school?

I've always loved languages, and had incredibly supportive teachers both in finnish and English as a foreign language. Swedish as well, but I never quite clicked with those teachers on the same level hence why my Swedish is more ..so-so. Art obv. Honestly? Everything else except for maths, physics and chemistry I found enjoyable. Oh and .. social economics? Probably would have liked the subject but I hated the teacher. Aside from those, learning new things has always been a joy.

15. Dream job?

Honestly? Something that won't drain me and actually leaves me with savings and a will to live.

Frogland, a town i made to kill some time before november fifth, is now complete! This town is VERY hacked, and it was made testing the limits i could do with my hacking abilities and how far i could stretch my imagination with designing. I will be adding more photos over time, i have soooo many screenshots so that’ll be my content here for a while so look out for that! And now, i want to work on a town thats much more toned down with the hacks. Expect a winter town in the future.. More deets about the town itself below <3

it is, like the name implies, a froggy themed town. It is very robust, everythings decorated to the max. Check behind the cafe for some goodies to help your urge to path jump. The dream bed and luna block a 2 way path, so it’s not necessary but reccomended. Mayor Kerri is a funny looking frog, like no other frog in the village. She’s very easy to get along with, never says anything but “Kerro!” and always helps out her neighbors. She got elected for mayor not because of like, politics, or whatever, but due to the impressive amount of bugs she’s caught, and how yummy they were! Best rooms- Attic(bedroom),(left room) bathroom,(right room) kitchen. Basement garden and the backroom trophy area are still rlly decked out but i just happen to have some favorites.. i may come back to this town some time in the future, i had trouble with plants i put next to pwps disappearing, and i wanted more villagers themed around saying “ribbit” in different languages but wasn’t able to due to some difficulties. Beaches are decorated as much as everything else, very rare moment for me. Honestly me finishing a town is rare actually since. this is my first time! well, sweet dreams ! feel free to take screenshots n share them :D
