Firstly, seeing your response makes me giggle and my friends actually suspected for like 2 weeks that I actually had a crush on someone. As if law school gives time for that. ANYWAY after much confrontation I told them that it's me reading your response to my asks hehehe

Secondly, soooooooo I am huge reader and I mainly love to read classics, mysteries and legal thrillers (whodunit!!!) And there was book fair in my campus!! 60% off 😲 SO OFC I WENT and I was picking up classics, some textbooks etc. And I passed by romance section. Now I am not a romance reader (I have read a few which I LOVE) anyway but I love looking at what's new or what's currently hot in each genre. And suddenly I get surrounded by like 8 girls who are simultaneously going "NO PLS YOU GOTTA READ THIS ILL GIVE MY FIRST BORN IF YOU DO" "it's so good" "you'll cry" "you jaw will be hanging open" blah blah etc etc and help I didn't even know like 3 of them 😭

Guess which book of them were talking about ??

Coolen Hoover's It Ends With Us. And ngl I am kinda hesitant about romance genre itself but also a little to try books from Katie Roberts, Colleen Hoover, Jenny Han etc. Because I just feel like I will be disappointed and there will be a lot of "oh they're teenagers, they're growing they make stupid mistakes" kinda things idk if I am able to explain it nicely. Just hesitant that I might invest time into a book only to get irritated at tbe actions of the characters. And while I do understand that there won't be any drama if the characters were completely rational and fine, it just gets under my nerves when they make stupid decisions like getting back with someone who cheated on them, parents being useless, doing drugs at parties etc. IK I SOUND LIKE A STUCK UP RN BUT PLS I JUST WANT A BOOK WITH RATIONAL AND NORMAL PEOPLE. anyway point is I was like ??? Is this a cult ??? Anyway I ended up getting the book because well they were like "we'll pay for it !!" And how can I say no to my bestie spending money 🤨🤨 true friendship right there.

And then I OPEN TUMBLR AND SEE COLLEEN HOOVER IN YOUR ACC ?? IS THIS A CULT ?

Aaaaaah I love this kinda gossip!! You don’t even have to come up with imagines all the time trust me I love it sm when ppl fill me up with their random thoughts and what they did throughout the day cause it’s so adorable to me!! You can always go upto someone and send them fanfics, but only ppl who care for u and love u truly will sit down and listen to you rant and find you cute for it! Now I’ll be real honest with you. I’d give it ends with us a 7.5/10 and not really recommend it for someone like you who’s really busy and looking for a 11/10 experience, without any disappointments. I read the book when I was 16 y/o and I remember finding it so touching and good but when I reread the book again once I turned 18, I realized there are so many things wrong with that book? So many mistakes and messed up situations and most importantly, so many triggering themes with no warnings like- childhood trauma, death of a loved one, abusive parents, rape etc. etc. it’s a real bad buzz if you have any one of these traumas as it might inflict unwanted pain inside your heart for no reason. On the other hand, I’d really suggest you “twisted love.” It’s an adult romance book, it’s for mature adult readers, has twists and smut too, friendships, family and it’s really an ♾️/10 for me. :’) <3 and about your Recs??! I’d definitely check them out baby I’m a big bookaholic!

Thank u so much for showering my works with love. :’) and pls I love angst? Angst is so so underrated in my opinion. Everywhere is fluff and smut but my fav genre is angst tbh. I have a request to you, in your free time, PLS READ MY FIC “but were you mine?” Part 1 is attached to it read it first it’s a small drabble and I also attached and made a video with the title to double the heartbreak effect lol. It was really personal, the dialogues really reflected the insides of my heart a lot, unrequited love and I go hand in hand and that fic I wrote is the most special and closest to my heart. Whispers On The School Yard

This morning, when I woke up, blinded by light coming through the blinds and a smell coming from downstairs in the kitchen... I was less than pleased. My ribs still hurt from running into that fence yesterday, running from those assholes at school. I did get away though, the bolter achievement unlocked, right? 

My mom can't help but call my name finally, yelling about how I'm gonna be late for the bus or school or whatever. 

"Jules, I swear to god. If I get one more letter about you being late," She starts her rant before getting distracted by whatever she was cooking. I do finally get the desire to get out of bed and get dressed, putting my messenger bag over my shoulder after making sure it had everything I needed to survive whatever hell today brought. 

Walking into the kitchen, my father is sitting at the table with the paper covering his face. How cliche. My mother cooking something elaborate and my father is reading the paper. What channel is this sitcom playing on this week, and don't tell me it's after  I Love Lucy. I cringe at the realization at how few people would actually get that joke, especially with all the new "slang" that they throw around that makes no sense. I slip past my parents after grabbing an apple off of the table, heading out of the door. 

I start to head into the direction of school, but my feet take me a different direction. Instead of the usual two blocks west, three north I didn't ever go north. I just kept walking west until I looked up and saw a playground. 

It was vacant, and an almost depressing sight with all the bright colors being dimmed by the clouds and how dark it still was. Yellow lines marking it unsafe, going around all different parts of the play structure and the fence around it. But, as if that was going to stop me from going, anyways. I slip underneath the tape and walk closer to the structure, sitting on the merry-go-round that was far from going around and being merry. Once settled in the center and fairly certain that the equipment was fairly safe I open up my bag glancing at what I put inside. 

A sketchbook, a journal, a TRC radio, pencils and pens that are all either dull or barley have ink in them, and then a switchblade. All of them were important, but at this time the sketchbook was the most important. I drew out the park, detail for detail before my eyes pause on the fact that there was totally a red streak on the equipment that's.. too dark to be paint. It's not vibrant enough for that. But, that alone really reminds me that I should get to class. I dismount off of the merry-go-round, and slip back under the tape to the sidewalk, seeing an elderly woman walk her yappy white dog. It's barking at me until I narrow my eyes out it. I wonder if dogs can sense hate as much as they can sense fear? 

The walk to school isn't far from where I did end up at the abandoned playground, and somehow I'm there with just enough time to make it to class. I sit in my usual seat in the back as the teacher waddles in and takes attendance and drones on about some topic that really won't matter once I graduate, if I ever get to at this rate. I go back to my sketchbook, drawing the playground before I hear laughs of that one blonde girl- that seems to always be a bitch to everyone. She always laughs so loud, and it isn't even a nice laugh. It's forced. 

I look up from my drawing though and I realize the laughter is at me for not paying attention. The teacher is right in front of me- Miss.. miss Sullivan?  Sauber? Shelly? At this moment, it didn't matter when she puts a detention slip on my desk. Of course. That's what I needed today. I roll my eyes at having to be here even longer, but take the punishment and put the sketchbook away. 

After school and after detention, I found myself taking the long walk back home to walk past the playground again. It's been getting cold, so it's almost dark already. I'm walking around the playground and find even more of the red, my head going to the worst almost immediately. While Poiroting my thoughts, I look down and see that damn yappy dog again. But this time, the glare doesn't make it shut up.  Maybe it realized that when you get hate, it doesn't mean you have to shut up. The ambition of every teenage girl ever.

 But, after that thought... I blank. I completely forget everything that happened between that thought and understanding the red on the playground is what blood looks like, when dried. 

I get up to my room, stripping out of the blood stained clothing I was wearing. It was a shame because I really liked that outfit, too. I get into the shower, but the water never seems to not have the crimson hue that the dog shed. I don't know what even got into me.

tldr: I have a ROK presentation due in about a week and my stresses about how it's not good enough lead to a downward spiral of self-judgement and shame. Don't feel obligated to read it.

wow I really wanna end it. I will never reach that level. That is now the standard. The peak of the mountain is the standard, now, and the rest of us have to bear the brunt of the pressure that entails.

That last presentation? It will burn a fucking hole in my skull while I work on finishing the rest of my shitty, shitty, pathetic little presentation. It was in essence, everything I could achieve. Everything that would be possible if I could just get myself to work and focus and be right.

But I fucking can't. The closest I've ever been to being 'right' is when I was amped up on a double dose of meds and told to sort pipes. A clear mind, a clear directive, a clear goal. Not a presentation about opening up about your personal life and experiences, something I'm ALREADY INCREDIBLY BAD AT.

I am boring. I am so, so boring. I will never amount to anything worthwhile and I wish the people around me could see that so they'd stop fucking pushing me. I am no great scholar, no genius mind waiting to be unlocked. I am a stupid boy who gets in over his head and drowns in the consequences of his actions.

My ambitions will die in days if not coddled and nursed by attention. Any project I start is doomed to fail. Hell, even my pride and joy, my skills with image editing and roleplay, are subpar.

Nobody wants to see a presentation about me, because it will be either far too long or far too short, and either way it would simply be unpleasant. And if I was honest about what the inside of my head looked like? I'd get stuffed into a fucking mental ward. And I'm required to do this in order to graduate.

I know I just need to stop comparing myself to others but it's HARD!! It's really, really fucking HARD!!! I can't!! I see someone else's work and know I could achieve that if I tried but I'm too much of an apathetic waste of space to try.

And all this is before I consider my paranoia about the people that will be watching me as I deliver this presentation- God knows how many people word has spread of the things I've done wrong to. I can already feel all their hateful, judgmental eyes burning holes in my skin.

I don't feel safe at this fucking school, I know that they'd probably love to take a tire iron to my face while spitting on my face, calling me a pedophile and justifying it to themselves so their actions match up with what the rumors have told them, lies swollen with hate and exaggeration.

I have to do something else now. Serves me right for writing a long-winded rant/vent in the middle of class. I don't know how to end this. Bye.

I've seen some people be disappointed with The Ssum for various reasons. Some I can understand but others I think people are too hasty. So here are some thoughts (not sorted through).

Regarding the many things you can pay for, I get that. It is kinda very in your face (literal game ads, that are kinda cute tho and only 5 sec) and pricey. I myself am very tempted but will see after the first round of 200 days. Pretty sure I'll know if it's worth it, after that. Cheritz is a small company after all and they've been working on this for quite a while. But for now I don't think it's necessary to buy anything to enjoy the game.

He might type slowly but you can just do smth else while waiting and somehow work with that. Now, the Aurora Batteries, those are already more iffy. Per chat, there are 1 to 3 options, where you can use them. Some even give you a call? I really hate this kind of limitation. It's so direct in telling "you may have missed juicy content~", which makes it a lot worse than the hourglasses in Mysme (not that they were bad in the first place). You have a lot of free opportunities to get them there (❤->⏳, through chats, invited guests) and even then, it's completely fine to go without. (Some calls were really 😙🤌 though, but it's very much optional) Here, I'm not sure you can get any without paying or unlocking achievments. But we'll see how it is since it's only the first week after all. Dunno about the other things yet but I'll just wait to see if it's too much, that I'm missing out on.

Regarding Teo, I don't really get how some people are already writing him off as boring and comparing him to Mysme characters. Like, ofc they'd be different. Not only is Teo the only person you're gonna talk to, you have 200 days for that. You'll have plenty of time to discover hidden mysteries and flags or whatever. Apparently, he's even gonna mold his personality based on our conversations. So it makes sense, that he'd be more blank in the beginning, especially during the first 2 days. Now look at Mysme, where you have 11 days for each of the 5, later 7, characters. You have to know which ones you wanna go first and everyone is interacting with one another. And there's a whole very forefront plot that needs to be told. While in The Ssum, for now at least, the plot is just getting to know about a guy in roughly 6 months and fall in love(?). The situations are too different to compare them. Besides that, he's actually just like a normal guy you first meet somewhere randomly. Is everyone able to figure out a stranger's personality and background after a few conversations on the first day or am I just the outlier here? I'm sure you've met at least one person whose personality on the outside differs greatly from the truth after getting to know them more.

I'm not saying you can't say what you think for first impressions; if he seems boring rn then that's just how it is for you. But it's stupid to complain already when the game is barely out, yet.

Anyways, that's all I have to rant about for now. Maybe I am too optimistic from the perspective of smn in the future reading this but I truly think you can't tell anything yet by Day 2. Hopefully, this will age well....

Josh had been streaming FIFA for just under two hours when he had finally stopped to take a break. He refilled his drink and sat back down to talk to his viewers. "So what's up guys?" he asks between sips of his water. He watches the chat go by for a minute, glancing through the many responses and questions. A specific one catches his eye and he reads it aloud without thinking.

"Are you interested in anyone at the moment?" he says, laughing slightly to himself. These streams usually end up going in this direction when he reads the chat. Maybe it was because the fans had all been speculating for a while that Josh likes his close friend, Y/n. Normally he deflects the questions. However, being as tired as he is, he had pretty much stopped thinking his words through completely.

"Of course. I like Y/n a lot... I think she's amazing and anyone would be insanely lucky to have her, but that's not gonna be me. She'd never feel the same. So don't expect me to actually say yes, but yes." he rants, then stops, processing what he just told everyone. He looks into the camera like a deer in headlights and clears his throat loudly.

"Um yeah, don't tell her I said all of that though," he says, his voice barely above a whisper. The chat floods with sympathetic messages promising that she won't find out from them. Josh trusts his fans since they had always proven themselves to be pretty loyal. Luckily for him, the peak of the stream was a while ago and, while there was still a decent amount of people watching, it was a much less worrying number than it could have been.

Y/n had gotten lucky as well though, tuning into the stream just around ten minutes before Josh had taken his little break. She'd heard everything, although she didn't quite believe it at first. She watches the messages pour into the chat about keeping the secret and laughed softly to herself. Her first idea is to text Josh, something as simple as 'hey' to grab his attention while she tries to put what she actually wants to say into words. She instead settles on a slightly more public option. Her name was a pretty recognizable one, and it wouldn't be difficult to get attention in the chat. She waits until everyone else's messages had died down a bit before she sent her own. It was a heart emoji, just enough to achieve the desired results without being over-the-top.

Josh's heart practically stops when he notices the little emoji in the chat. It wasn't necessarily anything out of the ordinary, except for the name next to it. The chat immediately goes wild again as each and every viewer realizes the significance of the message. For a second, Josh was unsure that he'd even read the name correctly, but reading the messages that followed it convinces him that it was real. He locks eyes with the camera, then glances back at the chat, and back again to the camera. He feels his face turning a deep shade of red as he smiles nervously.

"Oh uh, hi," Josh finally manages to choke out, internally freaking out. "How long have you been here Y/n?" He desperately tries not to sound as ridiculous as he feels. He suddenly wishes that he had been able to keep his mouth under control for a minute, just another minute, and he wouldn't have totally exposed himself live to all his fans as well as his crush.

Y/n chooses to text him as she figured it would be much more convenient for both of them. He continues scanning the chat for a message from her until he feels his phone buzz in his pocket. He unlocks it shakily and reads the new message.

Y/n: Sorry, thought this would be better as the chat is a bit of a mess. I've been around for maybe half an hour, probably not even that long.

Josh: So you heard all of that?

Y/n: If you're talking about your feelings for me, then yes.

It was really sweet and I like you a lot too, Josh.

Josh, unable to speak properly after the short text exchange, holds his phone up to the camera. He waits for it to focus and then laughs awkwardly. "She likes me," Josh says, sounding more like an excited little kid than he ever has. The chat becomes practically unreadable. It was full of heart emojis and sentimental paragraphs. The two both happen to glance at the chat at the same time and see the same message.

"I feel like I've just witnessed the beginning of something beautiful." They each read to themselves. They remain smiling as the message gets swept away in a sea of similar expressions. Josh quickly apologizes for ending the stream early before shutting everything off. He calls Y/n without a second thought.

"Hey," she says as soon as she answers the phone.

"Hey," he replies, sighing with relief, "So...would you like to go out sometime?"

"Sure," she smiles, laughing softly at his hesitation. "I'm free tomorrow night."

"Sounds good. I'll pick you up at 7," he says, feeling a sudden wave of excitement wash over him.

RWBY Random Rant #2!

What villain is the best? (Cinder vs Roman)

Second rant everyone! This one may be a bit longer than the first, so if you don't have time but find this interesting, then I suggest reading this later. If you have infinite time on your hands and your board, then this might help depending on your interests. So let's jump into today's rant!

So, the world of Remnant is a big place. There, you'll find friendly people, weird people, mean people, and people who are just flat out crazy. But today, we're looking at a certain group of people: Villains. Now before we jump in to the blender of craziness, this post is an analysis that can be used for predictions and plot lines. I may be wrong, but I'm writing this off of what I know.

Anyways... Let's start with the basic question, What IS a villain? A villain (or for the more technical term: antagonist) is a character who is trying to stop the hero (or protagonist) from accomplishing his or her goal. Either this, or they're trying to get something and the hero is trying to stop them because what the villain wants is wrong. This is the loosest definition, so you can imagine that this goes way deeper than you think.

There are some things that you need to ask and have answered before you confirm who is the villain in a story. Some of which includes the following:

Who is this guy? (Basic background)

Why is he or she interested in this scenario? (Could this benefit to their cause?)

Why are they doing this? (If so, then why?)

So if we take this and try and apply it to the "villain" we can tell if this is a VILLAIN. Another important thing to note is the quality of the character. What sort of events cause the villain to act like this, and why?

Well, when we're talking RWBY, then villains come in different shapes and sizes. Some villains are immature, and others have experienced enough pain and defeat to know exactly what will work to achieve their goal and/or stop the hero. Then you have the peeps in the middle who aren't as overwhelming as the big baddie, but have enough common sense to know what's going on, what needs to be done, and why they're doing it.

So I'mma gonna start at the bottom of the rainbow and work my way up to the best colors. I'll also be rating these characters on a scale of one to ten. I won't do everyone. Let's start with the entire fandom's LEAST favorite character.

Cinder Fall

Stars: 0/10

Now if I was a writer for the show, I think the most interesting thing that could happen to Cinder is if she just dropped dead. That's how bad she. Literally. Now, what makes her so disgusting? There are two answers.

She did horrible things. Like hacking the communication towers (With help from Watts, of course), making the people at the Vytal Festival Tournament doubt the leaders of Vale, and, to top it off, KILLED Pyrrah and Ozpin.

But these are the actions a normal villain would do, so what really makes her Terrible? The second answer has the reason.

2. She's a poorly written character with a lack of depth are perception.

I have no idea what made the writers want to make Cinder a hated character, but whatever did worked really well. Honestly, it's like Roosterteeth did the opposite of what Disney did to Cinderella. But when I say she lacks depth, I mean there is nothing that makes her character any good. She's also one of the biggest mysteries in the show, and I don't mean that in a good way. Here are some of the questions that I often ask about her:

Why does she want power?

Does she want to rule the world?

Why does she wear an outfit that's guaranteed to help her freeze to death?

Does she want to kill Salem?

Why doesn't she learn from her mistakes?

WHY THE HECK DOES SHE EVEN EXIST?!?!?!

Well, after some examination, I found out something shocking. She is just a plot device. She may talk and act evil, but in reality, she's just there so that the characters have something to worry about. She has nothing that makes her good, or relatable. To add to that, she's like the Grimm, all she does is attack and kill and if she loses, she DOESN'T reflect on her actions, and she DOESN'T try to fix her mistakes. She just goes back into the fight with the same strategy as before. If the main protagonists studied Cinder's basic movement, then they would be able to take her down, no doubt.

Can Cinder be saved? The answer is no. I bet that, judging from the road she's going down, her strategy will be her ultimate end.

Hazel Rainheart

(I may have spelled his name wrong. Sorry.😁)

Stars: 2/10 ☆☆

Now Hazel is a bit more interesting. Unlike Cinder, he has a reason he's on the side he is now, but like everyone, he has his flaws. He lets his anger get the better of him, and he's quick to judge. But the real reason why he's not so good is because of his reasoning. His sister died on a training mission because SHE chose to become a huntress. But Hazel takes all of his anger out on Oscar and Ozpin just because he (Ozpin) was the headmaster of Beacon, and let her into the school in the first place.

And I gotta say, this reasoning is understandable, but it's still dumb.

But there is something that makes Hazel a huge threat to the heros: his semblance of pain nullification. This gives him the ability to block out pain. And I kinda get where it comes from.

When his sister died, he was broken. She was probably the only family Hazel had, and when she was killed, he wanted to block out the emptiness, the grief, the pain. Thus his semblance was unlocked and he could no longer feel pain. This ability is probably how his aura charges up so quickly. If pain can block aura from charging, then he has the tools to be a force to be reckoned with. The only downside is that just because he can't feel pain doesn't mean that he's not hurt.

Can Hazel be saved? Maybe. But if he goes on a redemption arch, then he will probably die. But that doesn't mean that he's a lost cause. There's still plenty of things that can be added to Hazel's character to make it better. But at the present, he could be better.

Adam Taurus

Stars 2/10 ☆☆

This character is relatively horrible. In fact, he's worse than Hazel!

But the thing is, he's like Hazel in a special way: he has a tragic past. Certain events that wreck a kid's childhood can scar them for life. Adam was discriminated for his faunus traits, and this set him on a path of revenge that would be his bitter end.

He was a threat, but small compared to the real one. His semblance made him very dangerous, but it also makes sense. To be more specific, his semblance is, what I like to call, absorption of impact (or for the EruptionFang version, moon slice). This gives him the ability to absorb any damage done by the enemy into his blade, then release it back at a more powerful rate. This can cause devastating damage to both the enemy and the environment. As for why he had this semblance is pretty basic once you think about it.

Adam desired to get back at those who mistreated him. He wanted them to feel his pain, but a lot more extreme. He wanted them to feel what he felt, but worse.

Adam had a lot of potential, but, well when you get stabbed in the back, it's not easy to get back at your enemies. Over all in terms of writing, the thing that would've made him better was a better understanding of what he went through.

Tyrian Callows

Stars 4/10 ☆☆☆☆

If Adam wasn't crazy enough for you, then Tyrian's your go to guy.

I think that Tyrian is insane enough to join Salem, but has enough sense to know how to kill. He's kinda tough to figure out, but thanks to some much needed information in Volume 7, we now know a bit about Tyrian's past.

Tyrian was a mad man killer on the continent of Anima but was captured. He was then rescued by Salem and her Grimm. Since he's mad he owed his life to her ever since.

He's mad, so there's no bad excuse. And to add to that, he is flat down dangerous. His semblance is the ability to cut through aura, making him a hard to beat.

Can Tyrian be saved? Not really. The only way to kill him is for someone to fall victim to him while another strikes the killing blow.

Doctor Aurthor Watts

Stars: 5/10 ☆☆☆☆☆

Alright. Here we go!

Watts is very interesting. That's saying alot. Now that we have more information on him, it's easier to see why he wants to screwer Ironwood.

He was an Atlasian scientist who went against Pietro in the effort to make something great for Atlas. While Watts helped write the Atlas security code, Pietro found that the best inspiration is found inside. That was were Penny was created. Watts was disgraced and faked his death. Then Salem found him and he joined her group to get both revenge on Ironwood and respect from Atlas. Though he is clearly unaware of what Salem's true plans are.

He is a wiz when it comes to technology. Besides that, I believe he has some experience with combat. His semblance could have something to do with technology, but we're still figuring that out.

Can Watts be saved? Writing wise, maybe we can get more details about Watts in the final episodes. He's not a lost cause when it comes being a more interesting villain.

Story wise though? He's a dead man.

Salem

Stars: 6/10 ☆☆☆☆☆☆

Yes, I didn't save her for until the end.😼

Now from the writer's point of view, Salem's backstory has been completely fleshed out. It's pretty complicated so I won't go into details. But from that alone, Salem's actons make sense. As a prisoner of life, she yearns to be free. She wants to die. And she believes that the only way to do this is to divide humanity and summon the gods in there darkest hour. Then the gods destroy the world and Salem is free. She doesn't care about the people she is hurting. She hates humanity and wants to destroy everything. But above all, she wants to get permanent revenge on her ex Ozma (or Ozpin or Oscar). She wants him to die and stay dead when millennia ago she made great sacrifices to try bringing him back from the dead.

Now she has nothing to show for it except endless years of war, hatred, and suffering. There is some relation that one can have with Salem. If anyone who is reading this tried to do something for someone you cared about, but got nothing to show for it in return, then that's what Salem would be feeling. And this has caused her to spiral into madness. She is the purest definition of crazy.

Can Salem be saved? It depends at this point. Story wise, most likely not.

Emerald and Mercury!

Stars for them both 7/10 ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

These two are going to be paired in honor of their beloved ship: Emercury.

Both characters have tragic pasts, so that gives them some common ground, but both are looking for something different. Emerald is looking for love, the one thing that she never had in her entire life. Mercury is looking for a purpose in life, a way to make himself Worthy of greatness. He claims that Cinder recruiting him was just destiny.

Both of these peeps are incredibly good at what they do. Both can fight better than the members of team CFVY.

Emerald's semblance is Perception manipulation, which makes perfect sense in her case. In a very special case, her semblance is similar to Adam's. She wants others to see what she sees, Emerald wants people to see how alone she is, and just how much she needs family. Her semblance is an incarnation of her desire. And she uses it to make people see what she wants them to see.

Mercury's semblance is currently unknown at this time. But we do know that his semblance was stolen by his father. After killing him, Mercury probably got his semblance back, but lives under the illusion that it's still gone.

Mercury grew up in an abusive household, under the guard of a murderer. He was tortured everyday by his father.

Emerald grew up on the streets.

Basically, these characters are well written, and both have great potential as well. There's even some hope of a redemption Arch for these two, and possibly some romance.

Can Emerald and Mercury be saved? Writing wise, yes. More trauma and info can definitely help. Story wise? Hopefully, yes.

Roman Torchwick

Stars: 9/10 ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Time for the classics!

This charming young schemer has been the first character in the actual show. Fans everywhere love him, and will often mark him as the best villain. Honestly, I have nothing against it. But for the sake of this post, let's break down this lovely character and examine his awesomeness.

Roman's origin is currently unknown, but maybe we'll get some light cast on it with Neo's backstory as well. Many believe that he is somehow connected to Brunswick Farms, and it's still a possibility that has yet to be ruled out.

Roman is a good fighter and a master mind behind the underground crime rings of Vale. By himself, he is a relatively good fighter. Though his semblance has yet to be determined, he has his own Roman candle.

Another aspect of this character that won the hearts of fans is his charming personality. I mean, who can blame him? Though his death was sudden, and unfair, his handsome face will live on in the hearts of many.

Neo Politan

Stars: 10/10⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The star of the show, folks!

Neo made her big enterence in Volume 2 episode 4 Painting the Town, and ever since has been one of the most popular characters in the entire show. If you break down Neo's character based on what we know, then it's actually really interesting. Let's scoop ice cream!

Neo's backstory is unknown, but we're hoping to have some light shed on the subject. Based off of the song "One Thing", we can tell that Neo's backstory is tragic in some way. She lost everything except for Roman. And she is willing to fight to protect Roman from the death. How do I know?

Her semblance is called illusions by many, but Unicorn of War calls it Mirrors, which I think is the most accurate. Her semblance gives her the ability to reflect her opponent's attacks upon themselves, and she can change her appearance right down to her hair and eye color.

What does any of this have to do with protecting Roman? She will use Any means necessary to protect what little she has left, and to her, that one thing is enough. She Will change her identity as many times as possible, and she often gets away with it. But she is so fierce in protecting that during a fight, any pain that the enemy can dish out to her dumdum would make her determined to kick her opponent's butt. She would give them a taste of their own medicine and literally reflect their attacks upon themselves.

She is a reflection of protection. And like that reflection she represents, she says not a word, but shows people how exactly they can hurt the one she loves.

After Roman's death, Neo Politan is determined to reflect her loves justice upon the true enemies. If you can't face yourself, then you can't face Neo.

So, there you have it, villains everywhere.
