Eluthéria scrambles to her feet, fanning her wings out so as to prevent any of her sister's from charging blindly into the fray. One of her three canid heads glances skyward, up at the glass dome sealing the inner perimeter of the compound away from the outside world. She can only assume this to be another of Abel's slimy tricks, better not venture out into the bloody storm without taking proper precautions.

"Bring the fledglings inside. Quickly now, we haven't time to spare."

Her voice resounds throughout the fort from no discernable source, underscored by the disembodied tones of harps, horns and the howling of wild dogs.

"Achayot, my blood, tonight we fight, not for any gods or men, but for your lives. I need a shield wall and a skirmish line—assume the formation!"

Snorting a plume of smoke through the nostrils of her middlemost head, Eluthéria turns to face the massive hole she'd left behind as she charged into the compound.

"COME AND GET SOME!"

The distant beating of powerful wings heralds her approach long before the dreaded butcher of the damned decends, like a raging, red-hot meteorite, from the gloomy clouds high above the towering walls of fort Tsiyon. She rockets through the open air, signature shatoosh cloak whipping like a furious blue flame betwixt her pinions as she scopes the periphery of the only home she'd ever known. Scanning. Scrutinizing. Scouring every visible nook and cranny of the outer limits of the great establishment for any sign of intrusion.

She'll end this before another drop of her people's blood is pointlessly spilled. Tonight, if she has to.

Adam will forgive her. What logic is there behind waging another sensless war? Especially now, when their numbers are at an all time low? None. This is the only way.

Perched atop a slab of upturned magma, the woman gazes down upon the unbidden guest through owlish eyes of amber and obsidian. Clad only in a meager bodysuit and a sheer cloak which hangs loosely about her dainty shoulders, the fire raging through the surrounding rivers of blood reflects off her ethereal flesh, beautiful and iridescent, like mother of pearl.

The man's answer does not appear to quell her ire—her matriarchal flock does not exactly welcome wanderers of the male sort with open arms.

"You stand before Eluthéria Harmayne, scourge of the new year, butcher of saints, matriarch of the tal'yan achayot and the protector of the circle of violence."

Three sets of wings unfurl, an eye in the juncture of each joint staring at the draconid, watchful and unblinking.

"Tell me more about this hydra. Do you refer to the fabled scarlet beast? The one with ten horns?

"What are you doing here? Are you lost? You best hope you're lost. We don't take kindly to trespassers."

The dragonblood warrior crossed his arms, tilting his head in question. What was he looking at? She was pretty, she was mad at him, and her energy was so completely foreign to anything he had ever felt before.

And thats all he could make of the situation. Igris'Ir was kind at a loss, and that didnt happen often.

"Yea.", he answered with a small exhale. "Considering i have no idea who or what you are, i can confidently say i am lost.

Forgive the trespassing, i mean no harm. I am looking for the seven-headed hydra. I hired a mage to use a teleport spell on me, so it should either be somewhere in the area, or that fraud is getting his ass smacked the moment im back."

Yep. I’ve been at women only events where we sang achayot instead of achim in Hiney Ma Tov.

I know that in Spanish, for example, where there are masculine and feminine versions of referring to a group, if the group has at least one guy in it, the masculine form is used. How does this work in Hebrew, with words like shelakhem (your masc) and shelakhen (your fem), or shelahem (their masc) and shelahen (their fem)? Do you revert to the masculine default when it's a mixed group?
