Have you thought of creating a SvS au? Like I literally created multiple aus and counting. It would fun seeing you alternative version of the spies and maybe I could make some fan art of them if you allow.

I almost answered this with a simple , "No, I haven't considered making an AU" but I remembered I technically have two I occasionally think about! They're not entirely fleshed out, and I don't know if I will ever dedicate much time to building on them, at least not one of the two. One covers the idea of Black Spy being a vampire and White Spy being a werewolf, whilst the other explores the concept of the two secretly having and raising biological twins. I've posted art related to the former a few times, but not the latter (I'm still debating myself on whether or not I ever will post anything related to the latter as it deviates so much from a few of my general interpretations of the spies). Both are treated as "what if" scenarios rather than anything too serious.

I'm not sure how often I will post about either, although I may do something with the Vampire/Werewolf idea again as a somewhat annual Halloween tradition on this blog! It is incredibly heartening to know that, if I were to explore either ideas more, there would be interest.

You know, no matter how insane ace attorney gets, I still don’t think they’ll top the first game in terms of sheer “??????” factor. Moving space centers and magic bracelets and made up countries and the chess dimensions are great and silly and all that, but never, EVER has an ace attorney plot point astounded me more than “ghosts are undoubtedly real but we can’t use their testimony in court because we think one of them committed perjury”

Tage to the rescue!! To answer the one person who asked if they would get to share the devil fruit power, hopefully this answers that :) only the first person who takes a bite of the fruit gets the power, so only Ace would drown in water.

So remember when I said this would be a 2 parter?? it’s now panning out to look a bit more like 3 or 4 parts maybe. Originally this was planned to be 10 pages but even with the hiatus I couldn’t finish coloring on time so you get the first half for now and the next half next week :) I think I have like,,, 35 tracked hours on this chapter now lmao

But since I’ve got lineart for the next half already done hopefully next week’s chapter will go quickly and I can build a small buffer and start to work on the week after. Do have some other AUs and thoughts in the works other than this comic but also internship has begun so it is back to the grind again until August

I will try my best to keep this updated weekly but depending on motivation and time I might have to start doing biweekly updates if I want to work on other art as well :/ but I’ll keep you guys posted! Thanks for your patience!!

Hey dude! Just wanted to hop in and say that I adore your art. What are some tips for getting the style down? SvS has been a huge inspiration in my art for a while but I’ve never really come to nailing the style down. Cheers!

One of the main factors to "nailing a style down" is muscle memory. I've been drawing these guys for several years and a progression in how comfortable I've become with them since the start of this blog is quite apparent.

Another thing that's been pretty fundamental for me is reading the comics, returning to strips to re-read over time, and studying them.

I don't often attempt to mimic any *particular* artist or interation's style, but rather take heavy inspiration from each. I also tend to vary in the way I draw them, taking bits from different eras and creating new amalgamations that manage to still (hopefully) remain on-model.

If you want to draw the spies, then keep at it, and don't forget to have fun with them!!
