I’m a little fixated on Spy Vs Spy again. I suppose It’s helping me cope with all that’s going on at the moment. Things are a little scary, especially because I live in a red state lmao. Anyway,
#right there with you on being in an unfortunately red state#it's all so horrific#lovely art though!!#reblog

Hey dude! Just wanted to hop in and say that I adore your art. What are some tips for getting the style down? SvS has been a huge inspiration in my art for a while but I’ve never really come to nailing the style down. Cheers!
This was very sweet, thank you!
One of the main factors to "nailing a style down" is muscle memory. I've been drawing these guys for several years and a progression in how comfortable I've become with them since the start of this blog is quite apparent.
Another thing that's been pretty fundamental for me is reading the comics, returning to strips to re-read over time, and studying them.
I don't often attempt to mimic any *particular* artist or interation's style, but rather take heavy inspiration from each. I also tend to vary in the way I draw them, taking bits from different eras and creating new amalgamations that manage to still (hopefully) remain on-model.
If you want to draw the spies, then keep at it, and don't forget to have fun with them!!

Following suit with my main account and moving my 18+ side account over from Twitter to Bluesky! If you want to see gay t4t rival sex and representation of no-op/pre-op, post-op top surgery, and phalloplasty, I will share art that features it there.

After complaining enough about Twitter/"X" as a platform of hate (now state-affiliated), I have finally ripped off the bandage and moved over to Bluesky. You can follow me there, if you'd like!

in light of Trump's inauguration speech declaring multiple national emergencies that require him to take god-knows-what executive actions immediately, I'd like to remember this chapter of "On Tyranny" by Timothy Snyder:

Do not let them erase this. Do not let them tell you he meant "my heart goes out for you."
This man is the grandson of a Canadian Nazi sympathizer who moved to South Africa BECAUSE he thought the apartheid was just the coolest.
He has a gaggle of kids specifically because he believes his genes are superior and need to be spread to improve humanity.
He has thrown his support behind the neonazi party in Germany and the far right party in the UK, not to mention how far he's wormed up the ass of the Republican party.
He threw two sieg heil salutes back to back at the inauguration of the president of the United States and is trying to scrub the evidence off the internet.
Elon Reeve Musk is a fucking Nazi.

Trump is appointing three washed-up actors as "ambassador to Hollywood" in order to bring back the "Golden Age of Hollywood". Which has historical precedent: there was an ambassador to Hollywood in the Golden Age, too. His name was Georg Gyssling and he was sent by Hitler to monitor the activities of Hollywood studios. To make sure their films didn't say anything anti-Nazi, resulting in many attempts at anti-fascist films being shut down by the Hays Code. Just a fun historical Hollywood fact there

Is anyone else concerned about the fact that Trump also signed an executive order requiring the attorney General to use any legal means necessary to make sure that every US state is well equipped with lethal injection drugs. And that he called judges who oppose the death penalty enemies of the state. On the same day he also signed the executive order that took away dozens of the of LGBTQ protections we got from the Biden Admin? Is anyone else really fucking concerned about that?

jews have been sounding the alarm about the rise of antisemitism and neo-nazi rhetoric around the world for years now, and have been largely dismissed by all sides of the political spectrum. they’re playing the victim, they’re exaggerating, they’re lying, they’re a distraction from other more important issues, etc etc.
i hope this can be a wakeup call for many. if this is shocking to you, i urge you to find jewish voices and creators to follow. antisemitism is a canary in the coal mine for fascism and jewish people are the ones most equipped to recognize it and oppose it.
we will all need each other more than ever for what’s to come. make sure the coalitions and networks you build include jewish people too.

As we see a barrage of evil executive orders come in, they are not immediately enforceable and will takes months or years to implement.
That’s still not great, but don’t let these pile up to the point of hopelessness. Take a breath, and look community leaders who will fight it every step of the way.

I just read that Donald Trump and his circus took down a website called reproductiverights.gov
This was a website to help women learn about their reproductive rights in the US and to find health care.
This is absolutely disgusting so I’ll share in this post some resources in case you need them:
