There are so many possibilities... does he pass as a guy? If not then how do people view him? (I would imagine it's... difficult to clock a skeleton as trans) OH,, maybe he hasn't even transitioned underground and he only allows himself to do that when he's on the surface since it's a safe place for him to explore his identity? Or perhaps it's not even societal pressure and more of pressure on himself- even in situations where you are accepted, dysphoria still exists...

There's so many interpretations of the various undergrounds, so there's infinite possibility... BUT now I'm just thinking about that happening in a multiversal setting- like. are the OTHER Papyri also transmasc,,,?

And- WAIT what if Swapfell!Pap hadn't figured his transness yet, and so when sees his alternates (all guys) something clicks for him but it just happens like...

Like "ohhhhhhhh... ok." where he just accepts it immediately ahfjfhdjfbjf and when he eventually introduces himself to the others his Sans just goes along with it and is like damn ig i have a brother now.

Hi, I came across one of you're post and I loved how you write! I was hoping to out in a request!

So in this, could I ask for undertale sans, underfell sans, underswap papyrus, and horrortale sans? In this, they are with reader out in puplic (you can choose whatever) and while reader talks to them, they see in the corner of their sockets, somone reaching into readers purse/backpack and steals their wallet, behind readers back. How would they react and what would they do?

Again, I like you're writing but if you are to busy, don't worrie about putting this out immediately!

Sans:

Subtly makes the thief fall on his face and drop your wallet

Then just non chalently floats your wallet back into your bag

He prefers to avoid conflict rather than face it head on

Though he does take a little joy in watching the guy eat dirt

Then Sans just swings his arm around your shoulder and walks away, easy as pie

You probably dont even notice the whole thing has happened

Luckily for the thief, because Sans would also call Undyne if the guy kept giving you trouble

Red (uf sans):

Reds not the type of guy to just let it happen

Or resolve it peacefully like Sans

He grabs the thiefs hand, crushing it in his grip

The thief quickly runs away not even risking taking your wallet with him

Red would also loudly yell after him, threats and insults and whatnot

He does not care what everyone else thinks

Letting something like that go in the Underground would almost guarantee being made an target for anyone looking for easy exp

So he’s making sure everyone knows not to mess with you

You will have to calm him down afterwards. Stop him from chasing the guy down for a proper battle

He’s holding onto you tightly, making sure you don’t see what he just did to that poor criminals hand

A small crowd gathers around you and him, some people are calling the police, most are just staring in shock

Shit.

Aliza is going to be so pissed at him.

He drops the the thief and shortcuts back home with you (even though he shouldn’t be shortcutting anymore due to his head injury)

The day ends with some heavy lectures from your more responsible friends and some cuddles between you and Axe

S/O is dying, whether from old age, illness, or injury. Near the end, S/O offers their SOUL to their Skeleton in hopes that they will always be together.

How will skeletons react to the offer?

Undertale Sans - He's flattered and touched but he could never. That would mean keeping his S/O in a state between life and death, not dead but not alive either. He studied souls too much to know the soul can still feel pain and could never inflict that on his S/O. Of course, he doesn't tell them that, Sans being Sans. He simply refuses the soul when it's time, gently pushing it back into his S/O's chest. He wants to be sure they're at peace.

Undertale Papyrus - He accepts immediately, not realizing the consequences. He regrets it later as Papyrus is with his S/O but can still feel their pain after they die. He feels bad he didn't let go, thinking he was just selfish and that now you're going to suffer for a long time because of him. Thank god his brother is a soul ex-scientist who is very observant and can tell Papyrus is really not doing well in the next few months after his S/O is gone. Sans will help his S/O's soul to be extracted and he let Papyrus push it back into your tomb, so you can rest for real now.

Underswap Sans - He tells his S/O he will, but that's a lie. Blue is still young, and he has at least three centuries ahead of this. Linking himself to soul means he will never be able to soul bond with anyone else. Even if he loves his S/O very much, he's realistic. He's going to need to move on at some point and he could never knowing his S/O is still here. That's the end of your story, and he regrets it a lot, but that's not his end and he needs to think of his future too.

Underswap Papyrus - He tells you not to worry about that, as he lies down next to you. Honey doesn't need your soul. As soon as he felt your soul starting to break, his own soul slowly started to fall down. He knows he doesn't have long left. When you're gone, he's gone too. He's fine with that. He could never live 300 more years without you. He's there until the end and beyond.

Underfell Sans - He tells his S/O he will, and he will really do it. Despite all of his flaws, Red is extremely loyal. He will have one partner in his life until the end, no more. Letting you go is hard enough already, it actually comforts him to know a part of you will stay with him. Red needs that to move on. He'll be fine eventually.

Underfell Papyrus - That's something common for Fell monsters. Edge never agreed to do it before, but you're too special. He promises on his honor that he will keep your soul safe and he will keep his word. He still feels horrible absorbing your soul, but at least he feels less devastated than what he should be.

Horrortale Sans - Naaah. He's an old dude and he's tired. He doesn't need your soul if he's going with you. What's the point to keep going? He doesn't want to stay there another century, he's fine with quitting his job sooner. To life and death, right?

Horrortale Papyrus - No. He could never take another soul. He swears long ago he wouldn't do it again. He still remembers being able to feel the distress of the souls he had to capture for Undyne, confused after they died and terrified, and he could never do that again with someone he cared about. He wants to be sure you're at peace.

Swapfell Sans - He gently refuses straight and explains that he knows that souls can still have a sort of consciousness after death, including the feeling of being dead, and he could never do that. He understands your gesture and that you're worried for him, and he assures you that he will be fine. He's not going to give up and he's going to be fine eventually. That's a big lie, as Nox is definitely not going to be okay after that, but you don't need to know that. You have enough to worry about already.

Swapfell Papyrus - So you can prevent him from pranking more people by guilting him? Hell no. He's joking about this to not tell you that it's actually not something you want and a fate way worse than just death. He'll be fine, don't worry about him. He has thick skin. He's going to cheer you to the end. He has time to be upset after that.

Fellswap Gold Sans - It's very tempting you know. With a human soul comes a lot of power and he could use that to his great plan and all... But that doesn't feel right. He tells you that he is flattered but that if he wants to take down the Royal Family he'll feel much better killing a random human outside. Then he realizes maybe you tried to give him your soul as some act of love or something and that perhaps you didn't need to know he planned to kill another human. Hum... If he takes your soul, you promise you won't judge him? God dammit, Wine.

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He's already heartbroken, but that is just the last blow. Coffee breaks down, screaming he doesn't want you to go because he's not sure how he will move on without you. He promise to keep your soul safe so you two can stay together, but that doesn't make him feel better at all. He's terrified of losing you.

Here’s a quick rundown of a monsters lifespan:

A common monster has a life expectancy of 700 years give or take. The oldest monster in record (that wasn’t a royal) was a Drake monster who lived 732 years.

They are considered infants/babies up until the age of two. Toddlerhood is from 2-6

Children are from the ages of 7-13. Most monsters start public school at ages 7-8

Teenagers are from 14-19. Monsters mature at a slower rate than humans, and so while the body may look grown in the later teen years, they have yet to develop sexual maturity until around 20.

Once 20 they are considered adults, but some subspecies can continue growing up till 30

After puberty in the early 19-22 range, a monster is considered a young adult from 25-190. You can compare those ages to a human in their early to mid 20s physically

Middle Ages range from 200s- 400s roughly

500s are considered older and retirement age, 600s are elderly. Anything past 680 is fragile

The lifespan goes down with halfbreed monsters ( “full” monster parent and “full” human parent) where they live around 600-650 years

The lifespan takes a bigger drop for mages who have an expectancy of 250 years. Witches (humans who have trained to use magic) are known to live up to their 130s if they aren’t soulbonded to a monster partner.

Monsters and half breeds born with the disease called dimming rarely live past their 400s

An exception to the monster lifespan are the “royals”. They take a ritual after being voted into office that binds them to their country, making it so that any decisions they make for the country has to be for its and the peoples benefit (as far as they believe), making them a servant to ebott for the rest of their lives, but extending their life and health in return. The ritual can be broken for the royals who wish to retire and die in peace. The oldest recorded ruler was rumored to be around three thousand

And now the crash!!

For those who don’t know what that is, it’s when all the AUs merged (and my excuse for why all these guys are in the same place lol).

The crash started 17 years ago, and ended within 9 months. Since then no other mystery groups of monsters have been discovered.

Here’s a brief timeline of ebott from crash until now

First day: the land mass that holds ebott appears

Day 2: undertale, underswap, gastertale,, dancetale, theatretale, templetale, all the “farm” AUs, “lust” AUs and the “outer” AUs

Month one: the bird AUs fall from the sky, the nomads stumble out of the forest and the sea AUs mysteriously arrive on ship to shore

Month two, after two months, most of the fell aus (underfell, swapfell, fellswap gold) appear

Month three, the factory (mafias) monsters appear along with the “ghost city” now inhabited and known as ebott city, the capitol. A few weeks later, the fallout monsters appear and ebotts first official hospitals are created

Month four, the royals are finally brought together after threats of inner fighting, and Asgore is voted in as the king

Things settle for four more months, and the new land is explored, vary basic laws are out into place, and things start getting divided into districts.

Month five: Ebott makes contact with several other countries and is introduced to the worlds currency system. Ebotts gold, silver, copper coins is recognized as a currency by the rest of the world

Month seven, the first and only orphanage is founded for any unclaimed children.

On month nine of the crash, the monsters finally access the underground, and to their horror, they find three separate chambers housing the starving horror AUs who had no idea everything that was going on above.

Month ten, land is sold and divided, and ebott begins creating large scale farms

May 20, 2007, ebott celebrates their first official year as a country. The capitol city is named new ebott (cause Asgore sucks at naming things and frankly the rest of the royals aren’t much better)

May 30th, the royal guard is finally re-organized

December 2007, ebotts first countrywide gyftmas celebration, also an official design for the flag and coins are voted on and implemented

February 2008, the first official jail is built and used in ebott lol

July 2008, ebott is finally let into the rest of the worlds internet, and electricity reaches more areas besides just ebott city

August 2008, ebotts children and teens discover tik tok, and it is unanimously decided by every one that a standard public school has to be created

Late august 2008, the first public school is finished in city center

September 2008, the number of school sites number around 300, and counting

January 2009, ebott state college is built and open

April 2009, the ebott scouts is formed, and children hoping to join the guard in the future are able to sign up.

March 2010, ebott is opened by presiding countries for international students and charity programs

November 2010, the following of lady magic opens the temple to the public, and takes over the maintenance of what used to be known as the horrors underground. A grotto is transformed into a place of remembrance for those left behind before the crash

May 2011, the core from the stable underground is moved to the surface and duplicated into several other power factories. All of inhabited ebott is at least within an hour of power

May 2012, the stable underground is open to the public as a tourist attraction. Ebotts is opened by presiding countries to tourism

February 2013, because of public pressure from mainly farm, bird, lusts and the temple monsters, human-monster marriages are now recognized under the state as valid

July 2013 A farm monster discovers how to successfully cultivate magic crops from the underground, aboveground. He shares the secret for free, and other farm monsters take initiative to start sharing their own crop secrets. He is awarded the title of prince.

January 2014 Due to complaints about side effects from human foods, money is poured into research about safer ways to process and preserve foods in ebott.

April 2014, mellowmart becomes the largest company in ebott, finally beating out Walmart in scale.

December 2016, ebott petitions to be recognized as a free independent country to the United Nations. Ebott is turned down

December 2017, ebott petitions again to be recognized as an independent nation

February 2017 Immigration into ebott is closed, and monsters begin boycotting imported human goods. The ebott navy is built.

July 2017, ebott is declared an independent nation

March 2018, the royals declare ebott self sufficient in feeding the country when the amount of food related exports finally exceeds the imports for the first time

July 2018, ebott celebrates its first freedom festival

October 2018, the first college dedicated to the arts is opened in the captitol

July 2019, magical spars are declared the national sport after a grueling battle between spar fans and pickleball fans

November 2019, the first echo festival is celebrated in Goldenvalley

February 2020, humans not born in ebott are finally allowed to apply for citizenship, and the process for that is created.

April 2020 the goldenflower festival is organized for the first time

September 2020, several big brands like coco cola, Hersheys and nestle are banned in ebott when complaints of health issues becomes too much

March 2021, Wendy’s becomes the first company to create a monster-safe fast food outside of ebott, and after months of testing, is given permission to sell. Many other food companies follow and begin making separate recipes for their monster customers

May 2022, snails are declared the national animal of ebott, and popular snail breeds are recognized and the society of the domesticated snail is created for shows and licenses

November 2022, a different country tries to declare war on ebott on the grounds of them “stealing” their young working force (immigrant workers). Ebott threatens to close borders to tourists, those coming for medical care, and all outside companies selling in their lands. The untied nations slaps down the country declaring war.

February 2023, a new branch of the royal guard, called the NPTRF (national people’s trafficking relief foundation) or more commonly called the reverse kidnappers by ebotts supportive teens, is founded to combat the rapidly rising issue of monsters and humans being trafficked and dragged outside the country

@jaxxwrites4you & @justsamwich here! Together we've created 40 undertale aus, and as we've continued to develop them we decided they deserved their own blog to call home. Our Ebott Archive will be the central hub for all of our writings and artworks surrounding these AUs- and our askbox is always open! So feel free to ask away! I read this fic waaay before I realised I was somewhere on the aro/ace spectrum and hoooo boy my obsession with it when I was younger really makes sense now. Incredibly sweet, they go from hate to love, and the reader is aro/ace. It’s a little messy, but isn’t everything?

In writing this I also realised this is by the same author who wrote You, Me and Dr. G!!! >:O

The Nebular Theory - Skelebros/Reader - Ongoing/Unfinished

If it's not obvious already, I absolutely adore this fic. You want some REALLY good characterisation? A juicy plot that has me wishing I had the space for a red-string theory board? An attention to canon details that make me scream? Communication between characters!!!!!

I'm cheating here by linking the entire series (which is 11 fics of various levels of interconnectedness) but it's so worth it. This series tore my heart out, stomped on it, stuck it back in and gave me a sweet little kiss at the end. Several times over!! I cried like 4 times in one night while binging it!! Also this series contains one of the few OC/Canon stories that I enjoy!!

I actually read Burning Mountain first and then everything else in order and proceeded to LOSE MY GODDAMN MIND reading the first and second fics because OH. That's why the end of BM was so... OHhhhHHhhhh.........

The current fics included in the series are all finished, but I'm not sure if the author intends to come back to it in the future.

In the meantime, their other fics A Little Bit(ty) of Trouble (F) and Cold Blood, Warm Heart (O/U) have also stolen my heart. Those ALSO deal with dark, complicated topics so tread carefully and enjoy!

The impact of this fic can still be seen in the way I view Kindness souls and how they behave lol.

REALLY fun concept- what if Blue recruited the Bad Sanses to also help out when the other Star Sanses are busy. Thus the Bad Sanses become!! THE PLANET SANSES. The rest of the series is also fun- I liked the first fic, Blood Moon the most though :]!!

Some old-school Papyrus angst. This one is the first Undertale fic I bookmarked and thus holds an important place in my heart. Papyrus is so so so sad.
