Fic Prompts: Free Day Thursday

(This is just an au idea I had a while back for My Hero Academia. Should only contain spoilers if you haven't watched Season 3 yet, but I'll tag anyway just in case)

The child was lost. He hadn't gotten very far, after all. The few adults who noticed him in the out-of-the-way spot either hurried past, or looked at him strangely. They were probably wondering if he'd gotten into a fight and was avoiding people. Somehow, they didn't seem to notice how frightened the little boy was.

But someone else did.

Originally, he'd been planning to wait an entire day before swooping in to the "rescue". But with a storm rolling in and the look of desperation he could see even from the rooftop, he acknowledged that he could also "save" the boy now. Whatever made him more malleable in the end.

And so he had stepped out of the shadows, tsk-tsking.

"Nobody came to save you, did they? How awful, they left you all alone...Tenko Shimura."

But the man had made one miscalculation.

The terrified kindergartner looked up at the height and build of the man who'd just snuck up on him, and his mind registered his presence as "Threat! Stranger!"

So when the man moved forward and suddenly reached down towards Tenko's head, he panicked.

"No!" he gasped, flinging his hands out to defend himself on instinct.

The man known as All for One had planned for so many things, had manipulated so many lives. And in one instant, it had been completely undone, because Tenko Shimura was afraid of strangers.

"Whoa!" a new voice shouted suddenly, "Holy crap, you broke him!"

A tall, thin boy in an highschool uniform peered into the mouth of the alley. He looked to be fourteen or fifteen, tired, but also startled. Tangled black hair fell over his face, covering his expression for the most part, but he sounded worried.

"Are you okay? Was that guy trying to kidnap you? We should get the police."

Tenko burst into tears as the older boy edged into the alley. "N- n- n- no, don't touch- my hands, they- my quirk won't- won't turn off!"

"It's okay," the other boy said, as calmly as he could, given that he'd just seen a man disintegrate, "I can fix it."

His eyes suddenly glowed as red as Tenko's, and his hair flew upright. At first, Tenko couldn't feel a difference. But when the older boy took his hand, nothing happened.

"I erased your quirk. It'll only last until I blink, so we better find something to cover your hands quick." He tried to smile, but it was more of a grimace. "I'm Shouta. What's your name, kid?"

"Tenko."

"Okay, Tenko," Shouta fished around in his pockets and frowned. "Uh...okay, I gotta blink. Stand back a second." His hair fell back around his face, only to rise once more in seconds.

They improvised a pair of gloves out of a discarded t-shirt someone had left in the alley. Shouta patted the smaller boy's head and sat him down on the curb.

"We need to stay right here, okay? I'm gonna call the police. They'll probably want to ask you questions about that guy."

"He said nobody would come save me," Tenko sniffled.

Shouta grimaced. "Creepy. Maybe he was a villain?"

He kind of hoped so. The alternative wasn't much fun to think about, and Shouta had a feeling that giving in to his nausea right now would make matters worse.

The police arrived a few minutes later, with a few medics in tow. They questioned the boys separately, which meant that Shouta didn't hear how Tenko had come to be in the alley in the first place.

"He just got his quirk, but it won't turn off," he told the officers as the alley was blocked off for investigation. "My quirk can turn quirks off for a minute, so when that guy grabbed for him and he turned him into dust, I erased his quirk."

The officer taking his statement grimaced. "Poor little guy, that's pretty awful. That was good thinking, kid. Technically, you can't go around using your quirk in public. Judging by your uniform, you already know that. But right now I think you did the right thing. Since you prevented further injury or death, I'm gonna let you off with a warning this time, okay?"

The paramedic who had been tending to Tenko hurried back over suddenly. "There's another location we need to check," she said.

"Another-?"

She nodded. "It's looking like we have a case of Catastrophic Quirk Manifestation Syndrome on our hands."

The officer sighed and massaged her temples. "Oh no. Poor kid. Is it me, or is CQMS happening more frequently these days?"

The paramedic shrugged helplessly. "Quirks are getting stronger every generation. It makes sense, unfortunately. Do you still need to talk to the little boy? I want to go ahead and take him to Endor Children's Hospital."

"We can talk to him once we locate his family," the officer nodded.

Tenko shuffled up with another medic. "Can you come, too?" he whispered to Shouta.

"I can nullify his quirk," Shouta said by way of explanation, which sort of made things easier.

They were silent for most of the ride to the hospital. As they arrived, the second paramedic smiled at them.

"Everything will be okay, boys. You'll see! In the meantime, while we wait for your parents, you know what? All Might is supposed to be visiting this hospital today, to read to the kids! Maybe you'll get to see him!"

Privately, Shouta thought that sounded like chaos. But Tenko actually perked up a little bit, so he didn't say anything about it.

When All Might and All for One have their Big Dramatic battle, All Might Dies. AFO does not. Through a series of unfortunate events, small Izuku gets One for All.

Because of a lot of panic and spoilers and other things and the fact the All for One pretty much already died and just was functioning because zombie doctor, Izuku accidentally kills his dad in a way that resulted in ALSO yanking a bunch of his quirks. After this he just sort of... vigilante/villians around town and tries to figure Things Out, In General, and also avoid the Doctor. At one point, as a result of The Whole All Might Thing, he concludes that the current system is inherently bad for everyone, heroes included (and especially). He's not really wrong, per se, but perhaps not in the headspace to be twelve and trying to fix that himself. Double so when he actively discludes himself from "people who can experience bad things and have that be a bad thing, and as such need to be Protected" but does include anyone and everyone who's supposed to keep him safe, like his mom.

His mom is alive and having a very stress time about it.

At some point, he starts interacting with Eraserhead regularly. Shouta is not a UA teacher. He needs minimal reference for what teenagers are supposed to be like for this dynamic to work. The both need therapy desperately. They both reject therapy recommendations desperately. Shouta's self destructive behavior further confirms Izuku's conclusion about the system. Shouta does not realize this until after the effect is had. IDK if dadzawa is the right word, he kind of blew up his last father figure, but Shouta is as an adult who is emotionally invested in the aliveness and wellbeing of his younger teenager friend. Inko wants to adopt him like a brother. Ghost!Nana sees Shouta like wet cat. The wet cat keeps fist fighting people with guns and definitely has had to killed someone before, and he's absolutely unhinged, but so is everyone else?

oh no now I can’t stop picturing Aizawa kneeling to level himself with tiny child Izuku and helping balance him and get into the right pose to learn a complicated dance move for the dptam/idol au its so soft and sweet for gruff grumpy Aizawa. do you think Izuku ever accidentally called him dad since you said he basically raised him? or even misunderstood who he was to Izuku since most of the kids at his school have a mom and dad and Aizawa is always there so HE must be dad?

Oh gosh ur gonna make me cry. Yeah Izuku used to call him his big brother actually, and considered him his dad. He used to cry when he was really little because he wanted to be Shouta’s son, not Inko’s. 

Mic knew he was the head of security for a young idol but he didn’t know what was the same Izuku Shouta used to smile when he talked about at lunch. Mic knows Izuku too though and, as a good friend of Shouta’s has met the kid a bunch. He was really excited to have him in his homeroom class, even if he joked he’d be losing him to Shouta soon considering how driven the kid was to be a hero, expecially now that he had a quirk to help.

It was an unusually warm autumn day. The calm breeze transported a few golden leaves from the trees, the cloudless sky hosted a cheerful sun, and the streets of the city were still half-empty. Overall, there was a sensation of calm and peace that Iida Tenya, letting out what must've been his fifth sigh in ten minutes, wished he could bask in.

Any other day he would be by now finishing what he considered to be his normal morning routine, which consisted of waking up early, have breakfast, and go for a run. Then he showered and headed out to classes, making a short stop at a small coffee shop beforehand.

A normal, completely uninteresting routine. So uninteresting that he had never particularly told anyone about it, because why would he? But his two friends had somehow caught wind of it and even made the effort to wake up earlier than usual to accompany him on his way to the coffee shop. How? Well, he had a slight idea…

“So, are you ever going to tell us what’s so interesting about this shop?” Came Ochako’s cheery voice, her Chesire grin as wide as it had been since Tenya found both of them waiting for him near his home.

“It must be big,” Shinsou said in his usual drawl, smirk never leaving his lips. “It made uncle Tensei rant at Pops and Dad about how his little brother suddenly changed the routine he’d been religiously following since he was fifteen and refused to tell him why. I can still hear him. ‘It’s been three months, Shouta, and he still refuses to tell me! When did my little Tenya stop telling me everything?’”

Tensei. Of course it was him. Tenya sighed again, completely unimpressed by the information.

“Oh, and talking about uncle Tensei, I casually met him the other day. Do you know what he told me, Ochako-chan?”

“What did he tell you, Hitoshi-kun?”

“He said he suspected the reason wasn’t a what but a who.”

“Oooh, that sounds interesting. Seems like it was worth waking up earlier, huh?”

“Seems like it. What do you think about the theory, Tenya-kun~?”

Tenya just stared at the pair of Chesire-cat lookalikes his friends had turned into with a tired look.

“Like I told Tensei, the idea is ridiculous. I go here because I like their food, nothing more. Why must he make a big deal about this...”

“Oh, is that really all~? Then why come to a coffee-shop that forces you to go so out of your way, I wonder?”

“Hmm, that's a good point. Also, since when were you a fan of sweets?”

“Look, we’re finally here,” Tenya said, walking faster to avoid answering their questions. “Let’s just get in so you can see for yourselves.”

Ochako and Hitoshi followed the blue-haired young man while snickering all the while. Honestly, they also thought Tensei was exaggerating a bit. Having been neighbors their whole lives, they’ve known Tenya their whole lives and they’ve never seen him ever look at others in a romantic way. But it was fun to finally be able to tease him about it, even slightly, and they weren't going to waste this opportunity.

Standing in line, Tenya surreptitiously looked around, feeling both relieved and slightly disappointed at not seeing that person around. Not because Tensei's accusations were right, but because at this point he suspected that even being seen on friendly terms with another person would just add more fuel to the fire.

Seriously, Tensei just made a big thing out of nothing. Tenya had just bumped into this person one morning while distracted and made him drop what he was carrying. As an apology, he helped him carry his things the rest of the way to the coffee-shop he worked in, and as a thank you, he insisted on gifting him some pastries. He liked them, which was why he returned every day. Not to see him, but for the pastries- and Tenya better stop now before even himself though he was just making excuses. Which he wasn't, but still.

"Oh, good morning Iida-kun!"

"Good morning Midoriya-san!" Tenya greeted, snapping out f his thoughts to greet the green-haired woman with a smile.

"Your usual, right? Oh, and if you have time to wait five minutes you'll be able to greet Izuku," she added with a small grin while handing him the order. "He's just attending something in the kitchen and should be out by then."

"Thank you Midoriya-san! And yes, I have enough time to greet Midoriya-kun, so I'll wait." Tenya really liked Midoriya Inko. She was a sweet woman, and she always insisted he waited for Izuku whenever he came when he was in the kitchen. He didn't really understand why, and why she always smiled so mischievously when she did, but he was glad Midoriya-san liked him enough to not mind him distracting her son while he was working.

"So, Izuku huh?"

Tenya glanced at his two friends, whose grins had somehow widened.

"He's Midoriya-san's son," Tenya defended himself. "I met him accidentally one day and made friends with him. There's still nothing that implies I have a c-"

"Oh, hello Iida-kun!"

Tenya turned around, a smile already forming as he greeted the greenette that came from behind the bar.

Midoriya Izuku looked a great deal like his mother. Fluffy green hair, wide green eyes, and a sweet smile. Smile he was directing at him that moment, and Tenya wondered if Midoriya-san had turned on the heating because suddenly, the light jacket he was wearing was slightly uncomfortable.

"How did that exam you told me about go?" Izuku asked, leaning on the bar while crossing his arms. Tenya took slight notice of how firm those arms looked before answering, immersing himself in his conversation with Izuku.

If Hitoshi and Ochako weren't witnessing this with their own eyes, they would never have believed it.

At first sight, there was nothing abnormal about what was happening. Tenya didn't look red or nervous like one usually did when talking to their crush. But they weren't his childhood friends for nothing, and the subtle signs they could see were all but screaming at them.

It was how his smile was warmer and softer than usual, as were his eyes. How he stumbled slightly over his words while recounting something about his classes. How his usual gestures were less frantic. And most importantly, how he seemed to have completely forgotten about their existence, seemingly in his own shared universe with Midoriya Izuku.

"It's a sight, huh?" Midoriya Inko's voice startled them slightly from behind the bar. "It's been like this for a few weeks now," she continued with a grin, looking fondly at the two young adults. "It's the first time I've seen Izuku like this."

"Us too. I mean, we've known Tenya for forever, and this is the first time we've seen him look like... that." Ochako knew she sounded amazed, but she still couldn't believe it. Tenya, her straight-laced, rule-abiding, not-really-interested-in-that Iida tenya, with a crush? Unthinkable.

And yet, there it was.

The two made a really peaceful picture, conversing animatedly in a near-empty coffee-shop while golden leaves floated on the other side of the glass wall behind them.

"Oh, then you wouldn't mind lending me a hand, right?" Inko asked with a mischievous smile, making both of them sense a kindred spirit and mirror her smile, which increased in size as Inko talked.

"By the way, Iida-kun, are they friends of yours?" Izuku suddenly asked.

Tenya startled, suddenly remembering he'd come with his two friends. Turning around, he found himself faced with three sets of grins, which made him blush slightly for some reason.

"A-ah, yes, they are," Tenya answered, clearing his throat slightly. "They're-"

"Hi! I'm Uraraka Ochako, and he's Shinsou Hitoshi!" Ochako interrupted him, waving at the greenette alongside Shinsou. "We're Tenya-kun's childhood friends!"

"Oh, so you are the friends Iida-kun talks so much about!" Izuku said with a smile. "I'm Midoriya Izuku, nice to meet you!"

"Oh? Tenya-kun never mentioned you. I wonder why~?" Shinsou smirked. Watching Tenya's blush intensify, and sharing looks with Ochako and Midoriya-san, Shinsou decided this was definitely going to be fun.

Not my best artistic work (not gonna lie i got sloppy in an effort to put this out). BUT i wanted to introduce an AU I’ve been spending more time on then I should be. Unfortunately the it doesn’t have a name yet. Here is his origin story. Anyways basically Tenko Shimura kills his entire family by accident (even his dad was an accident) and wanders the streets in a daze afterwards. This leads to a 15 y/o Shota Aizawa to come across this distraught kid alone on the streets on his way to school. He notices that something bad must have happened to the kid and that he had a really nasty cut on his hand. He offers to treat it, but Tenko freaks out because he is worried about accidentally killing him with his quirk. Shouta explains his own quirk and assures him that he can treat his hand while erasing his quirk. They still haven’t quite figured out that is a 5 finger activation so Tenko just assumes its his hand in general. Shouta takes him to the hospital because he hurt and severely dehydrated. Drama ant termoil ensues as the police figure out what happened with this kid but at the end of it he cant really be held accountable for the killings because there are laws to protect kids whose quirks hurt or kill people by accident when they first manifest. Tenko is then adopted and raised by Gran Torino with Yagi as like an uncle figure. He basically imprinted on Shouta because he saved him and had a way to help him manage his quirk and learn not to be so scared of it. He is like his big brother and they are very close. Tenko grows up to attend UA like uncle yagi and big brother shou did. He becomes rescue hero that acts as a teachers assistant at UA sometimes. However he loves kids so much and is so inspired by his big brother that he is currently working on his teaching credentials so he can work as a full time teacher at UA like Shouta. He volunteers a lot mentoring kids with quirk related trauma and/or volatile quirks. I have everything planed for how he fits into the actual timeline of the manga obviously a lot changes without him at the head of the LOV, but AFO is still kickin so he’s bound to figure out some way to fuck with yagi and the school. Ill be sharing that at a later date.

Due to finding my old BNHA Idol AU, I thought I would write a little piece on it as an attempt to say goodbye to it forever.

The Big Idea:

The idea was that the story took place in a no quirk alternate universe where the BNHA characters were JPop Idols. It was to follow Midoriya, a YouTuber who made videos talking about the history and releases of music artists, who unknowingly moved into the apartment complex where young heartthrob Shoto Todoroki and national beauty Yaoyorozu Momo lived in an attempt to avoid paparazzi.

The first arc was basically just shenanigans of Midoriya not realizing he is living next to idols, while Tododeku start to slowly fall in love with each other.

Once the first arc was over it was going to turn from a meet-cute mutual pining slice of life series into a mystery slice of life series where Midoriya kept witnessing scandals (accidentally) which would lead to him discovering a mystery regarding the history of the Idol Industry.

An example of this was Midoriya making friends with critic Siren (Shinsou) only to get caught up into the mystery of the missing Trainee Aizawa Shouta just to learn that the missing trainee was in fact the feared critic Redeye.

Basically every arc was a mystery about the idol Industry and a bunch of secret identies, lost loves, societal pressure, and betrayal.

A music industry soap opera really.

Other Arcs:

A couple other arcs I remember planning is one where Jirou leaves UA Records for Hellfire Studios due to UA Records benching her for the twenith time leading to Momojirou and Midoriya coming to terms that All Might was not the best for the industry.

(Can you tell when I started to get critical of the show?)

There is another one where Bakugou joins UA Records and his past getting exposed causing UA Records desperately trying to stamp out the fires that caused while Midoriya has to decide whether or not to come out with his story or not.

There is another featuring Iida, and Midoriya figures out the truth behind the incident that caused Iida's older brother to have to end his idol career early.

Of course I had preplanned other characters as idols but as you can probably tell it never came to light as my brain was basically bouncing around the arcs I previously mentioned.

The Reason I Quit:

The main reason I quit was because it got boring. I couldn't figure out how to weave other characters into it, and while I love writing fluff the series plan sort of demanded I write some constant angst and I am not about the trauma conga.

Shouta Aizawa did not enjoy having lunch in the cafeteria. The place was loud, there were always a bunch of annoying kids around and people would just randomly approach him and talk to him, when all he wanted was some peace and quiet. But with all his injuries right now, he didn't really have the energy to prepare some lunch at home, before he left in the morning. And the lunch in the cafeteria was insanely good, so that somewhat made up for everything else.

He was sitting on a table with a bunch of other teachers, not because he wanted to, but because there was no table available where he could sit on his own. And sitting with one of his students would just be plain weird.

At the moment Yamada and Kayama were having a heated debate about whether Kombucha tasted good or not and whether it was worth trying for the health benefit. Kayama was absolutely in favour of it and was showing off her home-made Kombucha that she had brought to school. Yamada had never tried it and was convinced it couldn't be healthy AND good.

At the moment Kayama was forcefully trying to get Yamada to try some of her Kombucha. Yamada protested wildly, which was unfortunate for Aizawa, as he was sitting right next to him. He was keeping a close eye on him, just so he could dodge any accidental attacks from Yamada.

"Oh, come on! At least try it! One tiny sip?" Kayama asked. Aizawa gulped down some orange juice. He had to switch to that from coffee. The doctors told him to stay away from alcohol, caffeine, nicotine and anything else for at least two weeks. Which wasn't too bad, because in two weeks they would have the U.A. Sports Festival, which was a big thing within the national police force.

A lot of people from different divisions across the country came to see it and to scout out people for internships later on. Of course anyone who was not in basic training (or really athletic and in some other course like Criminology) would have a rough time trying to intern with the actual police force. A lot of the other people just turned to forensic laboratories, prisons, courts and so on to get their internships done.

Aizawa had done his one-week internship at a prison during his first year. Thankfully he had been able to kick ass during his second year and had started working with the local Naruhata police department. That's where he and his best friend Shirakumo had been spending most of their days away from university. Aizawa smiled a little, as he remembered his friend, but the smile quickly faded.

"What do YOU think, Shouta? Should he try it or not?" Kayama asked, taking him out of his thoughts. Aizawa glanced at Yamada who was shaking his head dramatically while grimacing.

"I don't really care, Nemuri. Why do you need him to drink it so badly?" he replied with a shrug.

"I made it myself and I'm proud of it! Plus, he's never even tried it and keeps saying that it'll taste bad. I just want him to try, before he'll start judging." Kayama said and sighed melodramatically.

"Why don't you try it then, Yamada? It hasn't killed Nemuri so far, it most likely won't kill you." Aizawa suggested, hoping to be left alone. He wasn't going to be so lucky. Yamada was shaking his head violently.

"Nuh uh. She's a toxicologist, dude, she could be telling me anything while trying to poison me. And she'd be getting away with it, too!"

"I can't believe you're accusing me of trying to poison you! Yamada, we've been friends for how long now?"

"Maybe you're just playing the long game, who knows..."

Aizawa sighed. His head had started hurting again and he really couldn't deal with the two of them arguing about petty shit like that right now. He grabbed the bottle out of Kayama's hands, opened it and took a big sip. He gulped it all down, as he put the bottle back down on the table.

It was nasty. It smelled foul and a bit like vinegar. And it tasted just the same, with a slight hint of sweetness. It took everything out of Aizawa not to make a weird face. And all that just because he wanted Yamada to suffer just as much as he did. If he drank the stuff, Yamada would have to, as well.

"How... how is it?" Yamada asked, giving him a worried look, as if Kayama had actually been poisoning it. Aizawa shrugged again.

"It's alright. You should try it, I think you might like it." he replied, knowing full well that Yamada would trust his judgment without questioning. Aizawa seriously didn't know why Yamada would still trust him, but maybe he was just one of those people that simply didn't learn.

Yamada grabbed the bottle, still eyeing it suspiciously, but finally getting over himself and taking a sip of it. It took a while to hit him, but then he quickly put the bottle down and pushed it away from himself.

"This tastes like ass! What the fuck, Shou?" he exclaimed. Aizawa grinned a little. Sure, Yamada was his friend, but it made him kind of happy to see him suffer right now. He was coughing and drinking loads of water to get the taste out of his mouth.

"Yeah, I know. It's really not my thing, Nemuri, and I think that one has been standing for too long. Now, if you'll all excuse me, I'm going to get some more orange juice, because that was truly disgusting." Aizawa said, as he got up with the glass in his hand. Kayama was shaking her head.

"You all just don't have taste..." she mumbled and packed away her Kombucha again. Yamada looked disappointed.

"I can't believe you've done me dirty like this, Shou." he said. Aizawa shrugged and gave him a wide grin.

"Again, I have no idea why you still trust me, Zashi. Anyway, I'm off to get something to drink and then I'll probably take a nap before my next lesson, so I'll see you all later." he replied and walked off.

I passed a few tables with students, some of them I knew. There was one table with a group of first years in basic training, their names were Todoroki, Midoriya, Uraraka, Iida and Asui. It was incredibly obvious that Uraraka was crushing hard on Midoriya. How he didn't realize it was completely beyond me.

At another table there was Nishiyama and her entourage. She always had a crowd of people around her and most of them kept changing all the time. Nishiyama was probably the true drama queen of this university. Most people who weren't stuck in high school anymore were not paying much attention to her, thankfully. She was a pain in the ass, but Aizawa had to admit that she usually had very good grades, although that was probably due to her learning all the notes by heart just before the exams.

The last table he passed was literally right beside the place where all the drinks were. Aizawa recognized Kaori Shinsou and her brother. Kaori was picking at her food, as if she wasn't hungry. She probably felt sick due to the painkillers. Aizawa felt a little pang in his heart, seeing her with the bandages around her forehead, knowing that it was his fault, because she was trying to save him.

Her brother looked like he had just seen a ghost and was whispering to her. I could see Kaori raise an eyebrow and give her brother an amused smile.

"What, you mean Pikachu?" she said loudly. Her brother looked around in a panic and then quickly gestured for her to be quiet.

Aizawa who had been watching this exchange was wondering who they were talking about. There was only one person he knew and he would describe as Pikachu and that was Denki Kaminari. He somewhat doubted that Hitoshi Shinsou knew Kaminari. From what he knew they had little in common, except that they were both first years. Well, it wasn't really his business anyway.

He poured himself a glass of orange juice and squinted at it. There seemed to be a few tiny bits in it, probably because someone had been swirling the jug and not letting it settle properly. Shouta Aizawa absolutely hated bits in his orange juice. Or any juice, to be fair. Things he was drinking or eating should be one consistent texture. Anyone who said otherwise was a potential psychopath.

"Well, forget about your crush on coffee boy for a second and let's talk about the plan for this evening. I've had this desire to watch Aristocats all day, are you with me?" he heard Kaori ask. Aizawa stopped squinting at his orange juice and froze. He loved that movie. It was one of his favourite childhood movies. It was his guilty pleasure whenever he felt stressed out or sad or overwhelmed by life and work and everything else. And no one - no one - could ever know about it.

"Yes! Absolutely! We haven't watched that movie in ages!" Hitoshi Shinsou exclaimed. Kaori laughed.

"I know, right? We should just get all wrapped up in blankets, get some nice, fancy ice cream and watch that movie. It's even raining outside, it's the perfect day for that. Plus, you can take your mind off the Sports Festival for once."

"Let's do it."

Shouta Aizawa decided he had been creepy listening in on his students' conversation for long enough. He took his orange juice and made his way back to the table with his colleagues. It looked like he hadn't missed much, since Yamada still seemed to be complaining about the Kombucha. What a fucking nerd.

I received several asks about the Fruits Basket AU I made for TABF. I plan on answering them under the cut to avoid cluttering up your dashes. A lot of questions can be answered with the posts I’ve already made about this AU, so if you notice I don’t answer some questions, it’s because I already have in the previous posts. In regards to Katsuki’s parents, he’s also treated with love and care, so he has a good home life. However, his mother makes sure to never get too close to him, so physical contact with her is rare. Katsuki mistakenly believes it’s because the curse bothers her and that she really doesn’t care about him. However, that’s not the case. She knows how much he hates turning into a sheep especially after what happened that day when his classmates in kindergarten saw his sheep form. So, she thought he’d prefer if she didn’t come in contact with him. Plus, he always used to shy away from her when she tried to give him hugs etc cause he was worried that he’d accidentally turn into a sheep. 

So, in summary, he and his mom aren’t very close nowadays do to a miscommunication issue ^^’

Out of the adults, Hitoshi is the closest to Shouta, so I would say that he does view him as a big brother of sorts.

There are more Souma family members besides the BNHA cast. From what I could tell, it seemed like a big family in Fruits Basket, so that’s what I’m doing here. The only BNHA cast members in the family are the zodiac members, their parents and siblings, and Nedzu. 

Like Fruits Basket, they can’t willfully turn into animals. It only happens when they’re hugged or come into contact with someone of the opposite sex. It also happens when they’re under a lot of stress like when Tamaki has panic attacks. Nemuri also turns into a snake if she’s outside in really cold weather and not wearing warm enough clothes. 

The zodiac members can hug each other without turning into animals just like in Fruits Basket. I didn’t really give much thought to all the parents, but the majority of them did marry people outside of the family. 

There are women on the police force, but Taishiro never has any problems with them. He just makes sure to avoid any situations that would result in him needing to come into contact with them like carrying them. Tsukauchi is also a detective, but since Quirks don’t exist in this AU, he’s not a lie detector. However, he does have a knack for being able to tell when someone is lying to him. He’s very good at reading people. Also, yes, he is good friends with Toshinori still ^^

Human Nedzu is short, standing around 5′2, and has short white hair. He doesn’t have a scar, but he still loves his tea haha

Touya didn’t run away. He just left the compound to go to college and later get a job. While he considered running away when he was younger, he didn’t because before he could the Souma family discovered what Enji was doing and put him under house arrest, preventing him from interacting with his kids. So, Touya didn’t feel the need to run away anymore. 

Like canon, Shouto hasn’t visited his mother since the incident, but like you guessed, Fortune will convince him to go visit her. 

In regards to Enji, I would say no he doesn’t get that reality check. At least, I don’t plan on including one since I wouldn’t know what to write that would make him realize what he did was wrong.

I have actually. After thinking it over, I decided that Shouto doesn’t have an actual fan club, but there are several girls that have crushes on him. He’s popular with pretty much all the girls. They’re just hesitant to approach him since he has that aura that makes him kinda intimidating since they can never read him cause he’s always so stoic lol

I’m thinking for plot reasons that her little sibling that will eventually be born should be a boy since it would make her want to increase her efforts in finding a way to break the curse. While it is a cute mental image, considering the kind of family they’re from, I can’t see their parents being fond of Momo using her zodiac form to give him rides. They’d probably want her to hide her curse from him which would result in her not interacting a lot with him which is something she doesn’t want. Hence her wanting to break the curse as soon as possible.

Midoriya doesn’t hug his mother since she always gets really sad when she sees his zodiac form. That’s because she blames herself for him getting the curse and for his father leaving them since it was her family that gave him the curse. While he has hugged her in the past, Midoriya hasn’t done it since discovering how much the guilt hurts his mother. It’s why he wants to help Katsuki break the curse since he really wants to hug his mother and show her that she’s not to blame. 

You’re right about the zodiac forms having the same color schemes as their hair. So, there’s a green bunny, a brown boar, a blonde sheep, a black dog since Ejirou’s hair is dyed red, a black tiger with white stripes, a purple cat, a black snake, a blonde rooster, a black horse, a yellow seahorse, a white mouse with red spots, a navy colored monkey, and a blonde cow. 

In regards to Toshinori’s zodiac form, it’s just like in Fruits Basket. It doesn’t matter which water he gets put in.

Also, on a random note, I’m thinking Shouta should have amber colored eyes since that would make them look more cat like. I’m also thinking Hizashi’s should be red like how they are in the manga.

Katsuki Bakugou was kidnapped. The heroes underestimated the League of Villain's strength, forcing a 16 year old to fight alone in a desperate attempt to escape. It wasn't enough.

Having been recaptured by the League, Katsuki anticipated the worst. Torture. Blackmail. Brainwashing.

He didn't expect to find himself forcibly incorporated into a messy, dramatic, and just plain ridiculous family. Honestly, he thinks he might've preferred the torture. At least that was straight forward and didn't involve him accidentally getting attached to murderous jerks.

Now it's all up to him to escape from this disaster, avoiding danger lurking in the shadows, deciding who he can really trust, and maybe, just maybe, learning some important lessons about what it means to be a hero and a good person along the way.

This is a found family story, except when I say 'found' I mean it in the 'Ah, crap, those assholes found me again' sorta way. So buckle up, because it's going to be one hell of an adventure.
