Now that this is no longer a surprise, I can share the the GIANT plushie Meowrimo I made based off of @myarmcanfly 's Meowrimo moss kitties, and gave it to them at Anthrocon. This big fluffy friend is weighted and has a special collar so that they don't get lost

A bit late posting about it; although I am of course home from AC and had an absolute heccin’ blast there as always aaaaaaaaa!!! I seriously miss it and all my friends so freakin’ much, and I’m just so grateful for it all!! I wanted to dump a few of the photos I got! <3<3<3

I finally got to meet my maker (of Baya!) and various suit family members!! It’s my first time being able to do so, and I was so ecstatic to see you guys!! It truly was so gosh darn special!! <3

And I also got to see so many more peeps for the first time!! There’s just so many cool friends and suits there that it’s just heccin’ crazy, I can barely wrap my dino brain around it!! I am just so appreciative of all the photos and memories of it all!! ;w;

And of course the many familiar friends as well a ton of bugs too!! It was a lot of fun having this sort of impromptu meet and seeing so many friends in one place, I freakin’ adored it so much!! <3

And I just wanna give a special appreciation for @sleepysquamata and @/default.rat.red for being the bestest heccin’ friends and creatures in the world! I heccin’ appreciate and love ya guys so much, you’re both just truly the sweetest and most amazing peeps to be around and you guys made this just so so much more amazing and memorable for me! <3<3<3

I seriously adored this convention so much despite being a little big and overwhelming, I had an absolutely amazing time with the bestest friends and peeps I know, and I couldn’t appreciate you all more!! Thank you all so gosh darn much, and I’ll see you guys at Megaplex next! <3

Some of my favorite photos from this Anthrocon!!

Weapon of choice at Anthrocon weekend. Nikon D600, 28-70mm f/2.8D lens, and SB-900 flash.

Day 1. No flash, or the pop-up flash. f/8 all day.

Day 2. Brought out the SB-900. Found a 45 degree-ish tilt (the first detent up) worked better than straight in the face. See if you can see when I switched to f/4? A nice older gentleman on the sky bridge was mentioning going for bokeh. I wasn't ready to go all in yet.

Day 3. f/4 all day. Moved to 1/125 on the shutter to deal with camera shake. That rig is HEAVY, and I'm not getting any younger.

Day 4. Broke out the diffuser. Straight on or angled didn't seem to make a difference, so I went angled all day. Went for max bokeh at f/2.8 and 1/125 sec.

The Lightroom "workflow" once I got home and offloaded each night goeth thusly: auto straighten, crop to 4x5 and shift the subject a bit left or right of center, correct aberration, lens profile, and... wait for it... AUTO. No one's told me any different about using auto yet, so I'll guess I'll keep using it.

I have been wanting to get to Anthrocon for over a quarter of a fucking century and NOW I AM GOING TO BE DOING IT FOR REAL I CANNOT FUCKING WAIT HOLY FUCKING SHIT WOOOOOOOOOO MANAGED TO DO IT BEFORE TURNING 50 (just barely) HERE WE FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOO

I leave tomorrow, but I don't get to Pittsburgh until after midnight, and my hotel is hell and gone from the convention center but oh well right?
