My cat is almost completely non-verbal. She occasionally trills in greeting, chatters at birds, and (lately) meows when she's caught something and wants to show us. Otherwise, she's trained us to read her body language.

When she walks into the room and we greet her with a simple "Abby cat!" She raises her tail and curls the end slightly in greeting, or will come past and stretch on the edge of the couch.

She has a specific expression I cannot explain bc it's so subtle, but she wears it and will sit somewhere near you, but far enough away that youd have to get up to touch her, and that's her "follow me" expression, and she'll lead me wherever she wants me to go - be it open a door for her, run the tap, fill her food bowl, or watch her eat.

She's also very affectionate when her food bowl is empty lol. She'll ask for kisses and when she's had her fill she'll lead you to her bowl. She also eats after attention lol.

She doesn't purr very loud either, but she does the slow blink a lot and likes sitting on her favorite humans' laps and tummies with her arms stretched up your chest

I feel like the reason certain dog-lovers insist cats are evil is because they read their body language as if they were dogs. So here’s a very basic guide to common “mean” things cats do that actually aren’t mean at all if you know what they’re thinking.

Rolling and exposing belly- attacks you when touched Does not mean: Give belly rubs! - haha I tricked you!  Actually means: I’m playful! If you reach for my belly I’ll grab your arm and bite it because I think we’re playfighting! 

Lazily exposing belly - still attacks when touched Does not mean: tricked you again! Actually means: I’m showing you my belly because I trust you. Please don’t break that trust by invading my personal space. I might accept a belly rub if I’m not ticklish and I know you well. Snapping at you while being pet Does not mean: I suddenly decided I dislike you! Actually means: You’re petting me in a way that gives me too much restless energy. Please focus on petting my head and shoulders instead of stroking the full length of my back next time.

Is in the same room but makes no attempt to interact Does not mean:  I’m ignoring you Actually means: We’re hanging out! I’m being respectful by giving you space while still enjoying your company. Slapping/scratching your hand when you try to pet them Does not mean: I hate you! Actually means: You’ve failed to establish that we’re not playing, or the way you’re approaching me scares me. Be calmer, speak more gently, make eye-contact and blink slowly at me before you try again.

WIP Wednesday

Hey, it is almost Wednesday so 🤷‍♂️ This is from that Janto fic that has swept me away -- a fic that is all angst if you believe but it is still them, so there you go.

The kitchen is no better.

His eye catches on the trash bin, and he can practically hear Ianto chiding him for throwing a dog bone in there, some three years ago.

“We throw chicken bones in all the time, don't we?” Jack asks, a bit annoyed himself that all Ianto sees in his clear attempts to be tidier around the house are more mistakes. “What's the difference?”

“Well, it's not a chicken, is it? That used to be someone's dog, Jack.”

Jack crosses his arms at his chest.

“And remind me again, whose cat is it that ate poor Mr Fluffy?”

Ianto meets his gaze head on.

“It was a misunderstanding – and Abby is very sorry.”

Abby, who has been licking their paws with two sharp forked tongues, nonplussed as you please, pauses now to glance at Jack before continuing with their post-meal shower. The feeling he gets from them can at best be described as a shrug and a half hearted whoops!

They did save Ianto’s life, Jack reminds himself. And they can be adorable – when they aren't going around eating their neighbours’ dogs.

“So what do you want to do with that femur – if I can't throw it in the bin?”

“We will bury it,” Ianto replies solemnly, ever the man of action, already striding towards the backyard to set up a canine funeral.

yeah yeah… I DID find another excuse to draw Abbi, but can you blame me? She’s sick as fuck!! Look at her. So cool, but anyway…honestly this could be better described by megalohydrothalassophobia then thassolaphobia since the subject here isn’t even the water itself but I really couldn’t care less about that

I’ve always sort of pictured Abbi as a gigantic sea monster, a leviathan, all three of the great creatures are depicted as being very large- I even have a headcanon about the big yellow cat that exemplifies this- I also find it incredibly interesting that the Abbi in the abyss is depicted with eyes but no visible mouth, whilst Tako was depicted with no visible eyes and only a mouth … Im not sure if this reversal in the development of the character was intentional but it’s very intriguing to me that the switch happened at all

LMAO am I late to have perhaps finally understood that the Three Great Creatures are Sunny's childhood memories? Or like Childhood figures. Wild brainrot right now.

But like. Yellow Cat is the Favorite. At first I thought naively "yeah Sunny loves cats, ok, we get it" but then i remembered that there is a shelter in the shape of a yellow cat in the park at Faraway town. And it must surely serve to protect the children from the rain. But in Headspace, Yellow Cat is here in the Neighbor room. So he protect the children - Sunny's friends. So Sunny like him because Y.Cat protect his precious memories and friends. Y.Cat is his favorite.

The Oldest is Humphrey the Whale and I must admit I forgot some details about him but I don't think less. Humphrey is from a children's book Sunny had, and he's a very hungry whale that eat everything and that's scary for a children I think to see a whale like that. (You know Monstro from Pinocchio? Yeah.) I like to think that Sunny has had this book from a very young age to the point that it is a very old memory for him. In Headspace, that's like he's been here forever. Worse, Humphrey is there on the Headspace's edge and act like a guardian of the Truth and a Final Boss. Anyone who dares to go against him finds himself devoured - Humphrey is like Cerberus. He must keep the Truth secret under his master's request. He's the oldest friend Sunny has known. Even if time has driven him crazy.

Now we have Abbi the Wisest. Aaaaaand yeah we don’t know very much about her except that she was banished to the abyss for some unknown reason. But she embodies wisdom, that’s for sure. Maybe in Headspace she wanted to talk to Sunny and told him to forgive himself about his sister’s death. But it will also mean that she acted against the Dreamer’s will. (as they say) So maybe Omori, like an ultimate Shield, he took away her power and banished her. I like to tell myself that in real life she was Sunny’s tamagotchi or even Mari’s. and that’s all I think I’ve said it all!

Out of the Abyss - Act 1 Part 6 - Lost to the Black Hole

   - “And here we are ! Otherworld !”

As soon as PLUTO landed, the young woman he was carrying jumped off of his shoulders.

   - “Thank you very much, sir.” she told him, “And once again, I must apologise for how I mistreated you earlier.”

   - “You are all forgiven, madame. Consider it all forgotten. I wish for you that this misunderstanding with the children will soon be resolved. GWA HA HA HA HA !!”

And with that, he took off, leaving ABBI also wishing for that… “issue” to be taken care of as fast as possible.

Leaving that thought alone for now, she looked around the Campsite. Everything seemed as peaceful as it always was. The abandoned cars, the electrical towers, the junk and of course the houses of the local residents. Everything was here. Unchanged.

On top of the hill the Campsite was settled on, was none-other than the house of the young leader of the Space Pirates : CAPTAIN SPACEBOY. This was ABBI’s current destination. Thankfully, he should be home and not some distant places aboard his spaceship.

… Speaking of space… she noticed an anomaly in the sky… Somewhere high above the hill, in stark contrast with the stars, was a strange, misshapen black form.

ABBI was taken aback, to say the least. How had she not noticed it before when CAT showed her an overview of Headspace ? Was this not there yet ? Or was it then in a blind spot ? Nevertheless, this shapeless mass, likely to be one of the many rifts into Black Space, should not be here.

ABBI quickly got down from the station and headed to the top of the Campsite. One of the locals, who was making a few clams at the recycling machine, gave her a wary look. She ignored it, already guessing the reason for such a glare.

Once at the doorstep of SPACEBOY’s home, she knocked. A peephole in the door opened, the eyes of who she could only assume was one of the Captain’s crew mates looking through it.

   - “Hello.” she started, “I-”

An audible gasp got out of the space pirate’s beak before they closed the peephole.

   - “Hey ! No, no, no ! Wait !”

She knocked again.

No further answer.

She sighed.

   - “Alright… Judging by your reaction, I can only conclude that you have met… other shadows before, am I wrong ?”

Silence…

   - “... Listen. I do not know what has transpired between you and those shadows, but you must know this : I am not like them. I have no malevolent intentions, and in fact, those weeping shadows consider me an enemy. So far, they have done nothing but impede me, so needless to say, I do not bear them in my hearts !...”

ABBI could faintly hear whispers on the other side of the door… The space pirates seemed divided on what to do. While she couldn’t get a word of what was said, one voice distinguished itself from the rest. She guessed it must belong to the Captain himself. Some of the other voices got a little more frantic as they seemed to argue with him. But in the end, he had the final word.

The door finally opened.

   - “Ah, thank you. I thought you- WOAH !”

ABBI put her hands up, startled by the sight of CAPTAIN SPACEBOY pointing his laser gun at her. He spoke :

   - “I’ll need more than just eloquence to be convinced you are trustworthy. But I must admit… you are not like the others… And I know exactly how to determine if you can be trusted or not… You may enter. But be careful not to step out of line… Understood ?”

   - “Crystal clear, Captain.”

He let her in, still holding her at gunpoint. The door was closed behind them.

   - “Go straight forward.” he commanded, “Up the stairs.”

   - “May I know where exactly you are taking me ?”

   - “The Junkyard. You’ll see why once there.”

Escorted by a few of his crew, they continued down the Solar System Room, then out near the Junkyard. The Mercury Retrograde had been purposefully stationed in front of the regular path leading here, so that no one could get to the Junkyard without going through the space pirate’s house. ABBI didn’t like this…

But once they were in the Junkyard, she understood. Two crew members were already here, guarding some sort of laser cage. Inside was a weeping shadow, all sharp and spiky, severe burn marks covering it as it had thrown itself several times at the laser walls of the cage in an attempt to escape. It was still frantically shaking, but seemed to have given up on getting out.

The young lady had let her arms fall at the sight.

   - “You… managed to capture one of them ?... I must say, this is impressive.”

   - “Is it really ?” the captain questioned.

   - “From what I know, when confronted with those, people either cower in fear or actively chase them down. You are the first I have seen keeping one alive and trapped.”

Some of the pirates shivered at her words. SPACEBOY let out a sigh.

   - “Run away or kill, huh ?... No. Not after what happened… We… We couldn’t do either to him.”

   - “... “Him” ?”

ABBI turned to the leader of the pirates. SPACEBOY looked… SAD.

   - “Yes… “Him”... This shadow right here… is… a member of my crew.”

This was one of the space pirates ?! No way… But then, if he transformed in such a way, that could only mean-

   - “Miss,” the young captain continued, “I beg of you… You who seem surprisingly lucid as a shadow yourself… what do you know about this ailment ?”

   - “ “Ailment” ? Wait, you think-”

She looked again at the imprisoned shadow.

   - “... Now I get it… You think this is an illness. That’s why you… captured your former crew mate… You believe he can be cured… Is it ?”

All of the pirates looked at each other, their expressions varying from worry to despair. One of them spoke up, tears forming in their eyes.

   - “Are you saying… that it’s too late ? He can’t… he can’t turn back to normal ?...”

   - “... I’m sorry… Your friend is gone…”

The pirate fell to their knees, eyes staring blankly at the ground as the pools of tears became rivers running down their face. One of their colleagues tried to comfort them. CAPTAIN SPACEBOY was containing himself as well as he could, he still had questions to ask. But it still was clear to anyone that the news made him feel DEPRESSED.

   - “What about someone who’s been partially transformed ?”

As he said this, he nudged another member of his crew. Said member approached her, removing bandages on one of their arms. It looked all black and icky, like some sort of goo. The octopus examined it.

   - “... I knew that the transformation isn’t instantaneous, but this is the first time I actually see the progression stopped dead in its tracks… I think I can safely say it won’t get any worse. In fact…”

As she touched the tainted arm, she could feel the influence of Black Space on it. And it was getting weaker and weaker.

   - “It will be slow, but your arm should go back to normal eventually.”

   - “Some of my comrades got it worse than me, missy…” said the pirate, concerned, “What about them ?”

   - “As long as their transformation wasn’t complete like for this one,” as she pointed at the cage, “they should recover too.”

Relief washed through the minds of the space pirates despite all the pain that they still felt deep down. As for ABBI, she looked up at the sky, staring at the ominous dark mass over their heads. This time, she had a question for the captain.

   - “You all went through that rift that appeared in the sky, didn’t you ? How long were you in there ?”

   - “I-... I’m… not sure… I’d say… less than ten minutes ?...”

   - “I see… That is about how long it takes for anyone to transform when in the world beyond that rift… I want to say you were lucky only one of you fell to this curse, but-”

   - “No…”

SPACEBOY’s voice sounded… harsh, all of a sudden. He was staring at the ground, making his expression unreadable. His fists were clenched so hard they were shaking.

He. Was. FURIOUS.

   - “IT WASN’T ONLY ONE !!!”

He ran away from the Junkyard, tears of both rage and despair pouring down, almost blinding him. Although his emotions were the things blinding him the most in the moment.

   - “Captain, wait !”

She was about to run after him when the pirate she examined held her back.

   - “Careful, missy… Our Captain isn’t always himself when angered…”

That, she already knew. She simply nodded and thanked them.

When she got out of the Junkyard, she witnessed SPACEBOY already let his anger out on random trash laying around.

   - “FUCKING SHIT !!!”

ZAP ! ZAP ! ZAP !

Cans, glass bottles, cardboards and really any useless garbage that happend to be on the ground ended up being exploded and charred.

   - “Captain ?”

ZAP !

Without thinking, the leader of the pirates had shot ABBI. It was only when he saw her collapse on the ground that he realised what he had done. Shocked, his weapon slipped from his grasp.

He felt utterly MISERABLE.

   - “N- no… I-... I didn’t want to-...”

He kneeled next to her.

   - “Miss ? Miss, please answer ! Can you hear me ?”

ABBI let out a groan. She slowly raised a hand and put it on her forehead that was currently throbbing with pain.

   - “That… is the worst migraine I’ve had in my life… But I’ll live… Don’t worry…”

SPACEBOY was a bit taken aback by this answer. Regardless, he was relieved she wasn’t severely wounded.

But emotionally, he was still a wreck…

Had it not been for this incident, he would have continued to take his anger on the rubbish.

But now ? Now he no longer had the strength to get angry… Now, there was only misery.

He was unable to keep his strong leader persona steady.

He started to sob.

   - “... If… If you-... say so… Miss… I-... I am… so… so sorry… I’m-”

He looked away from her. Shifting his kneeling position to a sitting one, he bent his legs, bringing the knees up. His arms wrapped around these and he hid his face in the crook they formed. His sobbing was the quietest, but the pain that caused it was no less intense.

The way he sat reminded ABBI of a certain boy…

She lifted her upper body up, then dragged herself closer to the young man. With no hesitation, she wrapped an arm around him, gently rubbing his shoulder in a comforting way, effectively hugging him. It appeared to soothe him a bit.

   - “There, there… It’s ok… Let it all out…”

His breath was short due to his sobs and occasionally gasped for air. Despite that, he tried speaking :

   - “I-... Ah- I’m… I can’t- Hic-...”

   - “Take your time…”

A few minutes passed. His breathing was steadier, his tears less abundant, and thoughts reorganised in a way that would be easier to express. He did not feel any less MISERABLE however. But this was understandable.

   - “I…” he started slowly, “I only realize it now… Not once did I ever ask for your name… May I ?...”

   - “Of course. My name is ABBI.”

   - “ “ABBI” ?... That’s a pretty name.”

For the first time ever since they met, he had a smile. It was small, but it was a smile nonetheless. She smiled back.

   - “Thank you. What about you ? Is… “SPACEBOY” still your name ?”

At that, he let out a little laugh. It had a hint of bitterness.

   - "I won't be caught changing my name on a whim ever again..."

   - “I see… My apologies if I brought up a sensitive topic…”

   - “... It’s alright.”

A short silence… ABBI resumed the conversation :

   - “So… Tell me. What happened in Black Space ?”

   - “... “Black Space” ?... Ah. The dimension beyond that black hole ?... Well… The thing is…”

His voice was becoming shaky again as more tears rolled down his cheeks.

   - “My father went in there… And… not just him… He had an entire crew with him… I-... And if what you said about this… “curse”... as you called it, is true… that it takes ten minutes or less for it to consume you… then as we speak… there must be… no survivors…”

He took a deep breath.

   - “I remember arguing with him not to go explore that spatio-temporal hole that came out of nowhere ! That he was too old for risky adventures like this ! That’s why he retired in the first place ! But noooooooooooo, the great PINKBEARD simply had to go ! How was he supposed to show the ropes to his apprentice if he didn’t do things like in the good old days, huh ?... But now… him… and everyone else on his ship… reduced to shadows of their former selves…”

   - “But… tell me. What led you and your crew to go ? I take it you only went after they did, correct ?”

   - “Well… since I disagreed with him, he made a compromise with me. He decided that we would keep contact via radio for as long as they were in there. He even admitted this would probably make things safer… And at one point, we completely lost the signal. With no other options left, I decided we should follow suit into the black hole… And-”

He stopped in his narrative. Thinking back about how things went down made him realise something crucial.

   - “And my crew immediately complained about… feeling… off… I remember dismissing it as… I don’t know, fear ? Because… I never felt anything strange when in that “Black Space”… Least of all, feeling anything strange within me. It really only was when my crew showed me the black spots appearing on them that I turned the ship around… Too bad I wasn’t fast enough to save them all…”

He looked at his hand. Eventually, he removed his glove and even rolled up his sleeve to make sure he really did not have any black spots himself.

   - “How do you explain that I felt nothing ? That I seemingly did not suffer from that curse ? Am I… resistant to it ?”

   - “Let me see…”

Unlike the pirate whose arm was all blackened, ABBI did not feel a single ounce of Black Space’s presence in CAPTAIN SPACEBOY. Not even a residue of any energy that could have already died out. Was this the reason him and the three other actors SAINT LILIUM had talked about could help her in her mission ? That they were impervious to the noxious effects Black Space had on denizens of Headspace ?

   - “I can’t explain why… but you seem immune to Black Space’s curse.”

   - “... Immune, you say…”

This. This made the gears in his mind go wild. All of the sudden, he exclaimed :

   - “Miss ABBI ! If I am immune, then I must hold this immunity from somewhere, don’t I ?”

   - “Well… Yes, this makes sense-”

   - “What if I hold it from my father ? That would mean he could very well still be alive !”

   - “Well- um… Perhaps ?”

   - “I know I must sound insane, but if it is true… Well, if no one checks out and he is indeed alive, then the shadows themselves will be the end of him. I must go look for him ! At least to make absolutely sure of his whereabouts !”

   - “... I suppose you are right, Captain.”

   - “Great ! Now.”

He held her hands.

   - “Will you please accompany me in my search ? I can’t risk the lives of my crew members and… you yourself are from that world, aren’t you ? You look like these shadows, but you are not like them at all. And your knowledge of that place would prove more than useful. If I go alone, I’ll just get lost, I need a guide ! Please !”

   - “I’m… not really from Black Space, but I have no reason to refuse to help you. And despite everything, I do believe I know the place like the back of my hand. You can count on me, CAPTAIN SPACEBOY.

His face beamed with HAPPINESS.

   - “I cannot thank you enough for this !”

Meet my Magnapinna Squid, Abby G. She's a Splatoon Splatband/Idol OC of mine.

Main - N-ZAP

Name Origin - The note "G" is also called "Sol", making her name "Abby Sol", a pun for Abyssal.

Her eyes are entirely pupil and iris with no schlera, due to her being raised deep underground. Her eyes reflect light kind of like a cat.

She has a few chemical burn scars from her time in Kamabo's facilities. The most noticeable one is along the side of her face.

In case it's hard to tell, her ponytail is on the side of her head, rather than the back.

I can't decide whether she'd be in a splatband or an idol group, but if she were an idol, she'd wear twintails, ripped leggings, furry boots, and a fuzzy boa during splatfests. She'd still have the crop top turtleneck, but the icon for her team would be on it.

She worked for Grizzco for a month before getting fired because she kept trying to shoot down the Flyfish.

She probably samples stupid memes in her music and makes it work.

Ive always liked the idea of like, earlier headspace’s in which the main group was still Big Yellow cat, Humphrey, and Abbi and an idea I had literally just now was like, a version immediately after Abbi was put in the abyss where omori is struggling to put things back together without her and to fill the empty space creates the first headspace Basil, leading to this weird halfway point where Basil and Mari are here but it hasn’t fully flipped into the new headspace cast yet

(This appeals to me because scrapped omori content intrigues me to no end)

Three ABBI Fan Theories

(LONG POST, BIG SPOILERS) (tw: suicide) I have taken great interest in your Out of the Abyss Story, and I have brought you 3 offerings for your adventure. Three fan theories base around ABBI. Feel free to implement them in your story if you like, since there's a chance these theories might actually be canon.

Note: I’m going to avoid discussing the obvious and assume you already know about Tako-san, Uni, Meido and the OMORI BOY comic. 

#1 ABBI/Tako's ‘Real World’ counterpart is likely Basil or Mari’s Petrock “OCOTACO”

While its true that, Tako-san are not a “one-to-one” copy of OCOTACO. They are both black and white octopuses with tentacle pigtails with “Tako” in their name.

We know character’s don’t have to be exact copies of their real world counterpart, kind of like how Jawsum based on the shark in Sunny’s Black Jack game. So if this is the case, who did she belong to?

I always found it interesting how the game bends out of its way at the last minute to let us know that Basil had a Petrock. If she used to be Basil’s that’d make a lot of sense how she ended up being associated with the Truth. 

Also its also very possible that she used to belong to Mari. Although it is never state if Mari owned a petrock, it is entirely possible if not likely that she bought one as a way to bond with Sunny.

(Note: In the final version of the game, this seems to be Ren and Shawn. However, i question if that was always the case. There’s a chance there two were meant to be Mari and Tako, but then were turned into separate characters after the fact. There no way to know for sure.) 

As the Wisest, Tako served as Sunny’s conscious, like an angel on his shoulder, just like Mari. She also has many visual similarities to Mari, and is even shown to be hanging out with her in early concept content.

It’s also possible that Ocotaco used to belong to Sunny himself since he’s the third character to know the Truth, but this is unlikely since Sunny picks “Jash” when given the option to buy any petrock he wants.

Personally speaking, I think Ocotaco was Mari’s petrock, and Basil owned a petrock called “Flowerlad”, which has a painting/flower themed rock.

#2 ABBI used to own the Lost Library

This dialogue speaks for itself:

Question: Who has the power to banish a library? Why would anyone want to “banish” a library? Answer: Omori, to hide the Truth. 

And based on Mari’s quote, it implies that someone had to maintain this library, but then suddenly that person vanished, so it sank underground.

Still not convinced its Tako-san?

Notice how after you beat ABBI, she gives you the most powerful weapon in the game, the RED KNIFE, in Sweetheart’s dungeon. The area that’s situated just above the Lost Library, presumably her old base of operations.

Okay so what function did the Lost Library serve?

Nothing like the Lost Library exists anywhere else in Headspace. It has so much knowledge about Sunny’s real world memories. We don’t know exactly what the library or Tako did, but we can make an educated guess.

Personally speaking, I think each great creature was given a job in maintaining the Headspace cycle of blissful ignorance.

Again, I’m going to assume if you’re reading this post, you already know about Daddy LongLegs story about how Sunny stumbled onto Black Space and chose blissful ignorance. Let’s discuss where the great creatures come in...

Let’s start with the cat...

The Big Yellow Cat’s job is said outright by the Branch Coral. 

The cat watches the Neighbor Room and his friends while Omori is away.

This dialogue is important because it sets the precedent that Omori has given tasks to at least one of the great creatures.

At the end of the HIKI route, its also revealed that it knows how to reset the whole damn thing. So yeah, the cat is all in on maintaining the cycle. 

And then there’s Humphrey...

Humphrey could be the subject of his own post, but I’ll give you the short version. Basically, Headspace is a literal videogame in Sunny’s mind. 

Humphrey’s job is to serve as its unbeatable final boss.

And the bones of his friends from each route just keep piling up...

There are also many other instances of Humphrey breaking the 4th wall of the Headspace videogame in his level and even in the FOE FACTS. 

In said “final fight”, Humphrey expounds that he thinks “ignorance is bliss” and that its best for Sunny to forget the Truth and himself entirely, like Sunny does in the in Hikiomori Abandon ending. 

(Which means in the context of your “Out of the Abyss” story, Humphrey’s goals are 100% opposed to Tako’s. They also have this “Id vs Super Ego” rivalry going on, so I’m really interested to see where that goes...)

And then there’s Tako’s job, as the Librarian of Sunny’s Memories 

Basically, her job was to maintain Sunny’s most precious memories, which if you think about it, is super vital to the maintenance of Sunny’s fantasy world. 

Its also possible that the castle keeper may have played a big role, considering how powerful he is and his proximity to the library itself. He may be an ally and former colleague of Tako-san.

The question is... why did Abbi agree to do this? And what made her snap?

#3 ABBI’s “act against the Dreamer’s will” created the third BLACK SPACE entrance. 

There are five entrances/ fractures to Black Space. Again this could be the topic of its own video, but we’ll briefly discuss it here.

When Sunny approaches the area being guarded by behind Humphrey, a disembodied voice (highly implied to be The Stranger in the game’s code)  tells Sunny that there are five entrances to Black Space:

Of all these entrances, we only get to see one get created in game:

There is almost NO way to prove how these entrances were made. But I’m going to give you my theoretical timeline of events.

My personal take, is this:

The Deep Well entrance is the one mentioned in Daddy LongLegs story that Sunny stumbled into. It was the original entrance to Black Space Sunny found early on after the fall out of the real world accident: 

Shortly after discovering this world, Sunny is driven mad by Black Space, and chooses to become Omori, who then promptly locks it away, and tasks Humphrey to guard the entrance, where he can still be found.

At some point, OMORIs friends are added (or found) in the Neighbor Room, and Headspace is combined into one world. Abbi then sets up her library. 

But why??? Why does she do this.

The answer is in Black Space, given by the stranger.

So basically, there are two forms of OMORI, and Tako has to choose:

Either, ‘Repressive OMORI’ and Headspace

Or, ‘Destructive OMORI’ and Sunny’s imminent suicide:

The reasonable Tako-san choose the lesser of two evils. She created the library and helped maintain Headspace to stave off the worst and buy time.

Things continued on for a few months, and everything was operational.

Suicide was averted. 

Omori got to have adventures with his friends, BYC watched their room and kept it and the playground monster free. The ‘still sane’ Humphrey guarded the Black Space entrance devouring any Somethings that came through, and had the gruesome task of killing his friend if he ever tried to leave. And Tako maintained her library, giving good childhood memories to Omori when asked.

Tako is now in this weird spot where she knows Headspace is wrong, but also plays a crucial role in holding everything, and everyone she loves together.

This continued for a few months. It wasn’t perfect but it was functional...

And then one day at the beach this b*tch showed up

“Ayo the pizza’s here” Spirit Mari said, taking OMORI completely by surprise. 

This created the first fracture and second entrance to Black Space. 

Omori immediately was zipped away to White Space. What then ensued was a very short version of the Hiki route in game, where Sunny is drawn to the entrance over and over to save Basil from Headspace.

Humphrey and Tako were probably the most effected by this. Humphrey had to actually start killing Sunny for the first time, and Tako probably requested to talk to Spirit Mari, and was denied by Omori. I personally think she was probably furious about the way Spirit Mari was being treated. 

Eventually Basil was saved, and everything returned to normal, this time, Omori was ready for Spirit Mari, and so a new era of peace lasted for a month or so. Everyone was ready to go back to normal...

Everyone except Tako.

She couldn’t stand the way Mari was treated and then-

One day, she snapped.

She confronted Omori, about the Truth, in front of his friends.

This created the second fracture and third entrance to Black Space.

Once again, Omori was quickly whisked away back to White Space, and once Sunyn was woke up. Omori detained Tako-san. He put her as far down as he could without actually putting her into Black Space. The Abyss.

They did the whole “save basil” routine again, but after that, a LONG TIME passed like YEARS passed. With both, Spirit Mari and Tako out of the picture, there was no one to disrupt the peace in Headspace. 

Over this time, the Lost Library sank underground, Sweeheart ascended to power, without Tako acting as his moral anchor Humphrey went mad from hunger, created by Sunny’s real world malnourishment. But beyond that, not much changed, this could have gone on forever.

But the next fracture would come from something Omori couldn’t account for, it would come from the real world in the form of a simple phone call:

Keep in mind, up until this point, Sunny had the comfort to know that at any time he could theoretically leave the house and rekindle his lost ties.

That comfort was now being taken away. And to make matters worse, now Kel was knocking and making phone calls, running circles around him.

About several months before the events of the game, this reached a breaking point during one of Sunny’s adventures in Otherworld. 

Something happened in that barn. The big photo frame that used to belong to Aubrey reminded Sunny of the family he shattered.

This created the third fracture and fourth entrance to Black Space.

And you already know the rest. We see the fourth fracture in game. The added stress of the approaching Moving Day was too much for Sunny to bare. 

It’s now 4 days left, 

Sunny thinks back to a story his mother told him about 2 years ago during a rare in-person dinner.

Sunny drifts to sleep with that story on his mind, and he can’t help but wonder...

Anyway, that’s what I think happened to Abbi and generally what happened during Sunny’s years of isolation. I want to clarify that, this is what I actually believe, I really think all of this is what happened in canon, off screen. I’m probably going to turn the last theory into its own YouTube video. Honestly I’ve been waiting for an excuse to make this post, and your AU caught my interest, I’ll be watching it closely!
