okay so i just got back from watching tbosas(AMAZING MOVIE BTW) and i cried 4 times. 3 were bc of wovey
okay so my little brother has down syndrome and ive seen him struggle and get picked on and it kills me every time, but hes still the biggest beam of sunshine in the world. i would die for him, no questions asked. seeing characters with down syndrome in media always tugs at my heartstrings, so when i saw her on screen i knew i was gonna lose it
while tributes were supposed to strategize with their mentors and she said she was good at climbing and that she did it in the factory back home all the time. i just. knowing what she was about to go through had me tearing up
when theyre about to enter the arena and she tries to hold lucy gray's hand? tears. all over
and as the snake tank enters, when she stumbles forward asking if it's over, if they can go home? right before it bursts and you hear her scream for a split second? i nearly had to leave the goddamn theater

ok top five scenes from the kung fu panda universe (any of the movies, shorts, shows, etc). could be fight scenes, character moments, etc etc so on and so forth
FERN THIS IS SO HARD. FOR ME. UHM !!!!
ESCAPE FROM GONGMEN TOWER please watch it right now please please it's such an underrated scene musically and visually. this is the scene where tigress catches a flaming arrow and that's the exact moment i became a homosexual. vic history. it's also the scene where we see her chops as a leader of the five and the way she's fit into this role to balance out Po so well. and also all her potential as who she could've been, if she'd been chosen to be the dragon warrior herself. but she's not.
youtube
MUSICIAN'S VILLAGE I LOVE this scene the way it introduces, to the audience, that the score is going to play a part in the fight scenes of this movie is absolutely magnificent. and the way we get reintroduced to the furious five's + po's fighting style, and it reminds us immediately that they are formidable--and then sets up the inciting incident of the plot with so much mystery (and we see the 2d animation style again too, which has always represented po's inner subconscious. WHY DIDN'T THEY DO THAT FOR THE FOURTH MOVIE. whatever)
youtube
i would say the bridge fight (kfp1) and i adore that scene but i have to say, i really love the performances, the ambience, the color boards, the sound effects, and the emotional impact of shifu and tai lung's fight in the 3rd act more. i love when kfp actually invested time in its non-main protag characters. tai lung was an absolutely fascinating villain and this scene just rounds out his character so well
youtube
The entirety of the secrets of the scroll short film oh my god i love that one so much. teenage tigress. my baby girl.
youtube
FUCK okay and then the fireworks factory (2nd movie) where Po confronts Shen about his past. And he gets shot with a cannon and Tigress doesn't get to him in time. breaks my heart every time. i'm going to include the scene where Tigress and Po fight right before that in the jail too bc the musical score called "Fireworks Factory" starts with THEIR HUG. AND IT ENDS WITH HER RUNNING TO CATCH HIM. AND FAILING. MY BAKA LIFE !!!!! i don't even ship them anymore like i did when i was 14 i mostly just love tigress but their platonic relationship is v important to me. i have to include their hug bc that did irreparable damage to me as a tween. sorry the quality of the first vid is so ass. their relationship in the entire 2nd movie is so good i could write a whole analysis on it probably. it's paining me physically to not include their earlier boat scene talk.
youtube
this is also the scene where tigress snarls at the gorilla and that changed my brain chemistry forever.
youtube
i love the entire second movie this is so hard for me AUGHHHGHGH okay quick honorary mention: i also love the scene where we see shen fight the three masters (rhino, croc, ox). that quick fight scene is SO well executed. the dialogue and the performances are incredible. i used to have every line of dialogue of this movie memorized and especially loved reciting this scene (skip to 1:10)
youtube
and then if i had to pick a moment from the third one it's the one where oogway's statue gets wrecked at the jade palace. it lands emotionally very well for a scene that could have easily been mishandled too comedically or too quickly. like it still gives me chills. and i'm not even gonna touch on the character animation/acting of tigress and shifu here bc GOD. kai's theme does rock also!!! AND i LOVE the colors in this movie SO MUCH holy fuck
youtube
and then a minor detail from the first one is i love how the characters act with each other, namely the five and shifu. they clearly have a history and/or comradery with each other. shifu undoing the nerve damage tai lung did in a way specific to each of his students stands out to me in particular.
1 and 2 are masterpieces to me and i have my Things about the 3rd one but overall, a beautiful trilogy. i wish the 4th one didn't exist im killing it with my bare hands. vic hate movie? vic murder it. 5th rule of the streets.
#you sly dog. you've got me monologuing#if u saw me listening to the soundtrack the whole time i answered this. yeah you did#star's asks#fernsnailz#kfp

fell harder
skeet ulrich x fem!reader
a/n: heyy i’m back w another fic! i enjoyed writing this sm i hope you like it 💕
pt 2 here
warnings: swearing, that’s all for now!
you’ve never made a movie in your entire life, but you were always a big fan of movies until this day. especially horror ones.
there’s this one specific horror movie franchise you absolutely love - scream. the first time you ever watched a scream movie was 12 years after the first scream was released - you were 10 years old and watched it without your parents knowing, and you absolutely loved everything about it.
that’s when you became a fan of the franchise, and started wanting to be part of it - you started practicing acting skills, even started watching youtube videos with acting tips.
and here you were, 25 years old, part of the next upcoming movie of the scream franchise. as soon as you knew you got the role, you sure screamed. a LOT.
—
“Hey” 10:19 pm
an unknown contact texts you
and you suddenly jump from the unexpected sound of the notification.
“fuck, that shouldn’t have scared me that much” you think to yourself and click on the notification you just got. you start typing
“hello, who’s that?” 10:19 pm
“I’m Dave, you must be Y/n. I got your number from the cast list, we’re going to work together for Scream 7” 10:20 pm
“oh hi dave! that’s nice” 10:20 pm
you answer his text, embarrassed that you didn’t even land your eyes on the cast list yet. everyone might have.
“So, I texted you because me and some other cast members were planning to have dinner tomorrow together, would you like to join us” 10:21 pm
ooh that’s why he texted me. that would be nice, wouldn’t it? at least i’ll be able to make some friends there, and not be left out in the shootings.
“sure!! i’d love to, count me in!” 10:22 pm
after you responded, you get up from your bed, turn off your cellphone and go grab some snack in the kitchen.
you leave your cellphone in the kitchen counter to open the fridge. you hear the sound of another notification.
“Alright! Here’s the cast list, just so you know who’s going to be there. The ones whose names I marked an X, are not showing up to the dinner. The ones who doesn’t, are showing up.” 10:23 pm
you cover your face in embarrassment. how does he know you haven’t seen the list yet?
“okay, thanks dave! what’s the address?” 10:24 pm
you send, before even checking the list he sent you.
you take a deep breath before actually checking it, thinking to yourself you should not be so careless at the point you don’t even check the cast of the film you’re going to be in.
jenna ortega, melissa barrera, jasmin savoy, mason gooding, bla bla bla…
until you see a specific name in the list, which you widen your eyes at.
“SKEET ULRICH?” you say loudly, before covering your face with your hands once again, but this time at the feeling of surprise.
you always had a big crush on this guy; since you’ve seen him as billy loomis when you first watched the first scream movie. he was and still is incredibly attractive - but not the common kind of attractive. he was TOO ATTRACTIVE. and you usually get really nervous around people THAT attractive.
it was kind of predictable if you think about it, because he’s been showing as sam’s visions in the last 2 movies - but you definitely did NOT think about it.
and now that you do, you freak out. there is no doubts you should have checked this list earlier, as you think to yourself you’re not prepared to see him and have dinner with him tomorrow. it would take days for you to mentally prepare yourself for meeting him personally.
“but, i’m not sure he’s going to be there tomorrow” you raise your head a little bit from the logical thought, before lowering it to the cellphone once again, seeing the list. you’re looking for a little bit of relief of seeing an “X” beside his name, just like some of the names there.
but you only disappoint yourself. there isn’t an X beside his name.
you start thinking you shouldn’t show up tomorrow.
but you have to. you confirmed to Dave you were going to be there, and you hate it when people cancel plans after confirming their presence.
when there’s another notification, you check it quickly and sees it’s Dave sending you the address you asked.
you have to go. and you decide you will.

helloo...
i know i'm late, but i just binge watching Triage last night. i kinda love it that the mystery about the story revealed gradually. and the leads had nice chemistry, despite the low heat. and i enjoyed bingeing on it and pulling an all nighter.
so, i'd like to ask you, do you have any recommendations on bl series like Triage that are completed or ongoing, that the show would be enjoyable on binge watching?
it's super fine if you don't answer this.
thank youu and have a nice day.
10 BL Series to Binge Watch with Complex story elements
Okay, I'm not really a binger so these are my best guesses at keeping the tension alive. Also it seems like you want something on the meaty end in terms of length so only Thai and Taiwanese stuff qualified.
Case study: Triage (so obviously that would be on this list)
1 Until We Meet Again
YouTube
Without question, a work of narrative genius with a powerful and cohesive romantic backbone and stellar performances. It is (to date) the only Thai BL (of c.250 watched) that I’ve rated a 10/10 predominantly on the basis of story structure. That said it is also very well cast (and it’s a BIG cast), with solid production values, and enduring pair branding as well as being the best Thai BL from a storytelling perspective. I think the story is good enough to carry the tensions. I also binges this on my first watch (it was already out when I discovered it) so I can attest to it being bingable. More discussion on why I love it so much here.
2 He's Coming to Me
YouTube
Boy and ghost boy fall in love, must solve ghost’s murder. Peak pining but also pretty tame, features my favorite sweet but important coming out sequence. The third in my precious triumvirate of unbeatable Thai BLs, that are only nominally BL because the story, acting, and production values are so good. (Together with UWMA & 1k*).
3 Not Me
YouTube
GMMTV gave us a dark disestablishment narrative (in a time of civil unrest) with established queer award-winning director Anucha and starring the biggest guns of BL, OffGun and THIS WAS AN AMAZING THING to get to experience at the time - nerve racking but remarkable. But was it ACTUALLY BL? It certainly has a lot of BL elements, but in the end romance was not what this show was about, or even what it was genuinely trying to be as a performance piece. Still a remarkable moment in Thai cinema, certainly worth your time. Don’t worry, it all ends happily. Full review.
4 I Feel You Linger in the Air
grey (YouTube for some)
I truly loved this time travel romance BUT for the ending it would have gotten a 10/10 from me. IFYLITA is an exquisite BL, from filming techniques to narrative framework (much like Until We Meet Again). Steeped in history and family drama it edges into lakorn (but no as much as To Sir With Love and with way less scenery chewing). This is an elegant and classy BL… from Thailand which normally doesn't even try for classy. If HEA's are NOT important to you, you'll be fine, but I struggled. More here.
5 Kiseki: Dear to Me
Gaga & Viki Y
The plot is totally ridiculous and slightly unhinged, but that’s normal for Taiwan. It involves all the tropes under a very casual framework of gay mafia gangs + food = love. Absolutely every character is queer. There’s a gum-ball machine of cameos, elder gay rep, great chemistry from all pairs, and a KILLER side couple. As a result Kiseki is a poster child for Taiwanese BL, and I happen to love Taiwanese BL. Bonus? They also managed to END IT WELL, which we cannot expect from Taiwan. (Triggers for knife play, child abuse, lingering trauma.)
6 Make a Wish
grey (Trailer)
(from Sammon - Manner of Death & Triage) about a doctor who can see the dead and strikes a bargain with a wish-granting irreverent tree angel to try and cure himself - naturally they fall in love. Stars Fluke Natouch opposite not Ohm, but who cares bc Fluke has chemistry with everybody. Once again the Thai afterlife is incredibly bureaucratic but I enjoyed the premise and the unfolding of the story (it’s not predictable but still satisfying and with nice little twist). I like that the doctor is just gay af and has a fag hag bestie and everything. The cast is excellent but the comedic stylings are often too overblown and tonally off. It had sad parts and did make me cry but is ultimately happy with a great sex scene, good smiley kisses, and all the agency.
7 HIStory 3: Trapped
Viki
Basically the definition of enemies to lovers from Lin Pei Yu. This is a cop + the mafia man he is chasing but WAIT, they fall in love. Added bonus side couple: assassin and nerd cop ALSO falling in love. It’s great. All the leads are stellar. Its high heat, fun action, and a bit of a mystery drama but pretty about all of it. My only warning is that the main couple doesn’t entirely end up together, it’s implied, but… amorphous ending.
8 Never Let Me Go
YouTube
Bodyguard romance where poor boy must watch over rich boy for family obligation reasons. Simple premise well executed with a few bumps that made it feel like it was trying to tackle too much (when it wasn’t). Still, an enjoyable show that benefited from being handed to PondPhuwin who did a stellar job with their roles and chemistry. Of GMMTV handing out new series to established pairs in 2023 this is one of the most successful IMHO. It's typically Thai in that it's a bit bloated and has a confusing plot, but at least it HAD a plot and the central relationship is solid and loyal. The Our Skyy 2 follow up is great too. And very much adds to the cannon in a fun way rather than feeling superfluous - making this show ultimately 14 eps rather than 12.
9 The Eclipse
YouTube
GMMTV does gay Blacklist with a good boy/bad boy pairing. This is a good show but the cast is excellent and the leads are absolutely flawless, which elevates it beyond just "a good show." We got a nuanced and multifaceted burgeoning relationship: philosophical (and socio-political) conflict contrasted to moments of empathy; flirtation contrasted to moments of genuine affection, plus plenty of angst. This narrative is less about love than it is about courage and tenderness. However, near the end the pacing was off and the plot frustrating. Still, this is an enjoyable watch, with a finale that features verbal consent and a fun blooper reel.
10 Ghost Host Ghost House
YouTube
This is light horror combined with family drama built around a well executed BL trough-line that felt honestly queer with fantastic chemistry from the lead pair. (I hope that we see more of them.) Pluem delivers the softest most seductive krap ever, Tod Techit (Kewin) is one of the prettiest humans on the planet, and watching these boys flirt over noodles is an unalloyed pleasure. Use of I/you pronouns is super interesting and cute as well. For me, personally, the surrounding cast, premise, and story didn’t resonate but if you like a touch of gothic in your BL this might appeal.
BONUS!
3 Will Be Free
YouTube
Queer AF crime thriller about three 20 somethings on the run after accidentally killing an assassin: a grifter, a nerdy mafia kid, and a stripper. They're chased by more assassins out for revenge.
It’s actually a remarkable piece of storytelling, using a pressure cooker of tension and suspense to bring about investigations into what love, romance, friendship, and identity actually mean. This show probably doesn’t qualify as BL but it does qualify as very very queer.
What it does well is examine many different aspects of queer identity, morality, and life choices based on repression and or acceptance of that identity using the framework of a crime triller.
It’s an adventure narrative, our three main characters are on the run together, being chased by assassins who are themselves dealing with the grief that results from love, all kinds of love. Meanwhile the 3 protagonists fall in love with each other and explore the boundaries and meaning of friendship/love.
Manner of Death
WeTV
Gay romantic suspense series with added cactus baby. Doctor & Mafia boy can't keep hands off each other, so also end up with chili plant baby.
Am I making sense? No? Well neither does it, but ho boy is it fun to watch MaxTul do... whatever it is they're doing.
I like MoD a lot but I’m conflicted over it being actual BL. It’s a great gay romantic suspense, although the mystery element is its primary weakness.
MaxTul, the Kings of Chemistry, are, of course, perfect and perfectly cast (and chemically unfair), but their romance thread is more a distraction than an addition. Still, I could watch them make-out the phonebook. Watch along here.

JAMES BOND in DR. NO
When I was in high school I read many of Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels. But I mostly remember them from the Sean Connery films. Recently I came across some BBC audio dramas based on the books and I’ve listen to Dr No and Goldfinger. They are both pretty good.
The audio dramas follow the plots from the novels and are also set in the 1950s when the early books were written. Toby Stephens, son of Maggie Smith, plays Bond. He’s good and could have been great as 007 in a movie. Instead Stephens’ played a Bond villain, opposite Pierce Brosnan, in Die Another Day (2002).
I’m not sure if I ever saw the Dr No film (1962). If I did, I don’t remember many details - mostly that the Chinese villain was played by a white actor. And the first appearance of Ursula Andress as Honey Ryder rising out of the ocean in her white bikini. This scene would be recreated twice in later films. First by Halle Berry as Jinx in Die Another Day (2002) wearing an orange bikini. Then again in Casino Royale (2006) with Daniel Craig wearing snug blue swim trunks.
In the audio drama David Suchet played Dr. No. Suchet is famous for playing Hercules Poirot, his best role. I absolutely did not recognize his voice in the audio drama. Suchet’s Dr No is very creepy.
This week I decided to rent the Dr. No movie on Amazon Prime. Sean Connery is incredibly handsome in it. Immediately you understand why he became so popular.
Between the 1960s and 1990s, Bond films were famous for the Bond Girls. And that was all introduced in Dr No. Connery has sex with at least 3 women:
Sylvia Trench, a beautiful woman he meets in a casino early in the film (she was originally intended to be a recurring girlfriend in the Bond films.)
Miss Tao, a double agent in Jamaica. Bond has sex with he even tho he knows she was plotting his death.
Honey Ryder - the beautiful bikini clad sea shell hunter played by Ursula Andress.
But there are several other women (receptions, hotel clerks, and Miss Money Penny of course) who swoon at the very sight of Bond. A couple make a point of checking out his butt as he walks away.
I used Wikipedia to compare the plot of the book to the audio drama and to the film. Most of the changes involve the villain Dr No. But they all agree on his main effort - he uses radio waves to disrupt rockets launched from Cape Canaveral.
Dr No is played by Joseph Wiseman. He isn’t even mentioned by name until 35 minutes into the story. And he doesn’t appear on screen for another 30 minutes. He has one scene where he monologue’s his nefarious to Bond. On the whole, Wiseman forgettable (David Suchet in the audio drama made a much stronger impression.)
Bond also meets up with his CIA counterpart - here played by Jack Lord (who would later become famous for the Hawaii 5-0 TV series). Lord had been asked to return for Goldfinger but he wanted a lot more money. He didn’t realize how easily he could be replaced. (BTW - Felix Lester was played by 5 different actors between 1962 and 1973.)
Here’s another piece of trivia… Ursula Andress’ voice was dubbed. Although she had been in Hollywood for nearly 10 years before the movie was made, she still had a heavy Swiss accent.
Is Dr. No as great Bond movie? Truthfully no. While Connery is good, the pacing is slow, too much time is spent on procedural stuff, the fire breathing “dragon” is laughable, and the villain is weak. But if you are a Bond fan, Dr. No is worth watching, to see how the building blocks evolved.

So I’m reading through your ideas for Ben 10 and seeing the “cliquey and territorial cerebrocrustaceans” one is making me realize how absolutely hysterical it would’ve been if at the beginning of Alien Force Brainstorm was incredibly kind and affectionate towards Gwen more so than Ben usually is meanwhile he’s just disgusted by Kevin’s entire existence.
Brainstorm: “Oh, Gwendolyn! I have a surprise for you! I witnessed you express an interest to see a feature film that has recently debuted, so I decided to purchase two tickets so that you may go and see it with a colleague of your choosing! And there’s no need to worry about refreshments: I’m more than happy to lend you the proper fare required for you and your chosed companion to purchase all of your favorites!”
Gwen, genuinely put off as Ben’s never been this nice to her before: “Umm…thanks?”
Kevin: “Hey Ben, do you know where the bathroom is?”
Brainstorm: “T H E G R O U N D U P O N W H I C H Y O U S T A N D.”
(Of course, as Ben gradually warms up to Kevin, Brainstorm eventually grants him one of the highest honors he can bestow: permission to touch him without needing his consent first)
Oh hell yeah this got me cracking up!
Ben 10 rarely ever explores the differing psychology between Ben’s humanity and all the aliens he does transform into- well, save for Rath that is! Sure, the smarter aliens he transforms into affect his intelligence, but academic IQ is a completely different ballpark to social instincts, and the idea that Brainstorm who - being a cerebrocrustacean who’s social evolution centres on a severe in-group vs out-group - would interact quite differently with his peers than in his human base form.
Hah, Gwen may be confused and perhaps slightly off-put given Ben - while affectionate and caring of her - isn’t quite so open and hmm… what’s the term… considerate? Attentive? About her interests that he’d spend the money on them for her. At least for the sake of their present closeness Brainstorm wasn’t on 10 year old Ben’s playlist, Gwen would have been on the outest of out-groups you’d need to have been a criminal actively harming him to get it worse.
*looking at Kevin* Ah right yes, that criminality- Kevin would HATE Brainstorm like it was personal, even after Ben the human gets to trust him more and drop the suspicions. Would probably groan whenever he shows up again, it’s almost like Kev treats Brainstorm like an entirely different person (in a similar but opposite way Ben sees his transformations as people), even after he becomes part of Brainstorm’s in-group. Can’t handle the saccharine :P Understandable-
#ask#anonymous#cerebrocrustacean#brainstorm#brainstorm ben 10#ben tennyson#gwen tennyson#kevin levin#ben 10#xenobiology#heheh- as opposed to greymatter kinda ignoring gwen in favour of making shit#brainstorm is probably far too attentive- a little too much to what gwen is used to from ben#if these cousins act almost like siblings then brainstorm is practically gwen’s twin with how much he shows his affection#on the other hand- human ben gets to express whatever distrust early on with kevin with light hearted sarcasm#you know- giving the social graces of ‘you’re on thin fucking ice but you haven’t fucked up yet’#brainstorm essentially uses all of ben’s memory of kevin as a child criminal and goes full ‘judge jury and executioner’ on his ass#it’s not pretty- it’s understandable in encepahlous culture to be pretty horrid to your out-group#especially the out-groups that have done active harm to you or your fellow in-group#but it turns what could be seen as mirthful jokes (even if there’s a hint of hurt in them)#into actual anger and heh- it’s not pretty in human relationships#something something nature vs nurture yada yada instintual and taught social differences#brainstorm by cerebrocrustacean standards is actually behaving pretty mildly in reaction to kevin’s past#ben after all is raised as human- for all the nature becoming a different species gives him he still has his own human education#it’s not great- he’s still kinda vaguely throwing a tantrum and being outwardly untrusting of kev#but at least he won’t spit on his grave- cerebrocrustacean drama is extreme lemme tell ya

LOVED the the boys ship you wrote me (went anon at first bc i'm shy and new to tumblr lmao) so wanted to ask one for my the boys oc since i saw you do ocs too!!
her name is veronica daumas, she's in her late 30s, brazilian (speaks portuguese and english) and has been living in the us for 10-ish years (faceclaim is taina muller). she was a private eye in brazil before messing with some big corporations (aka vought), giving herself a lot of trouble, and having to fake some documents and burn some bridges to move to the us. she was recruited for the first mallory team due to her investigative abilities and, of course, is brought back to the team for the s1 shenanigans. during the years between the first mission and the start of s1, she was working as a sort of particular investigator for a brazilian-american crime boss in nyc.
personality-wise, veronica is a nosy bitch. she loves fucking around and finding out, prying for information, discovering things about people. a bit grumpy and snappy, but who in that team isn't? brutally honest too, not in an edgy, wanting to be a bitch way, but in a comically careless disregard for if something would be rude. her own crazy drive to pursue the truth makes her not realize some people might not want the whole truth at all times. it's not like she doesn't lie ever, she actually controls information very well when she wants/needs to; she really wants to be the one who knows things more than other people do. she's in a weird middle ground in the insane-to-normal spectrum: if butcher is one side and mm's the other, she stands aside with a cigarette to film whatever will go down between them. she's not one to stop anyone though — your problem! chronic bailer: if it's gonna go down, she'll leave. addicted to getting away with things. will absolutely back off and save her own skin, which is a conflict she has to grapple with when she inevitably comes back in contact with the boys, and starts getting attached to them as they slowly realize they actually are a team. she has left a lot of people behind in her life and it's something that's slowly coming back to haunt her — oh shit, she cares about the people she loves. and bailing won't solve her problems if she still feels for the things left behind.
i originally ship her with frenchie but wanted to see your input, hcs, and any other opinions since i absolutely loved your writing!! thanks in advance <3
I am so glad you liked your ship, and thank you so much for sending in another! I love Veronica so much and if you ever post a fic of her I'd love to be tagged in it. I hope you're well and again, I'm so glad you enjoyed! This brought a smile to my face. ♡
I ship Veronica with...
Frenchie ♡
Boyfriend
GIF Source: @yocalio ★ (link)
I agree with your pairing — Veronica definitely seems like Frenchie's type of partner, and vice versa. Dark and varied past? Check. A love for drama? Check. Wanting to be independent, but becoming attached to a group of fucked up people just trying to do the right thing day-by-day? Check.
I've mentioned this in a few other HCs, but I don't see Frenchie as a person to move fast romantically at all, so it would definitely start with a lot of interesting conversations and a healthy dose of playful flirtation. If Veronica is someone who's comfortable with hookups, I feel like it would be likely for she and Frenchie to be sexually intimate with each other before catching romantic feelings.
Once in a relationship, the two of them would be quite the chaotic duo, and would always back each other up. Sometimes, Frenchie will not know what she's talking about, but if anyone (*cough* Annie *cough*) tries to push back on any of Veronica's ideas or input, he will fight for her like a guard dog.
Generally, Frenchie really trusts Veronica's decision-making skills and intuition — he's always been more of a tactile person when it comes to work in the coup, so her investigative abilities are incredible to him — and always makes sure she's properly heard by the group, even when they're all yelling over each other, which is... a lot.
Frenchie is very fascinated by Veronica as a person, and would always make time to talk to her in-between missions. It would start as very run-of-the-mill questions, at least by Frenchie standards (her work in Brazil, how it was transitioning to life in America) before slowly becoming more personal. However interested, though Frenchie will always be patient — he knows how personal people's pasts are, and always respects her if she doesn't want to divulge information.
The two of them would definitely balance each other out. Frenchie is endlessly loyal, to his own detriment — Little Nina called him little doggy for a reason — and Veronica's ability to know when's the right time to bail would help him gain a lot more self-awareness and respect, while Frenchie would be able to show her that sometimes, not every time is the right time to bail.
During missions, he would always make sure he has a line of contact with Veronica, even if they weren't directly working together, just to give her words of encouragement and check in on how she's doing. He knows she's capable, yeah, but he just wants to hear her voice (and know what's going on, because he, too, is a nosy bitch). Sue him.
Frenchie is not shy at all with PDA, and would always be very physically close to Veronica, whether it's a hand holding hers, an arm wrapped around her shoulder, or just standing by her side. He also lives for sleeping with her, no matter who's the big spoon.
Frenchie loves hearing her speak Portuguese, and will often ask her to read to him.
Tons of cute, silly nicknames for her, such as mon bijou, mon trésor, and ma chouchoute.
As for the rest of the coup...

GIF Source: @yocalio ★ (link)
Butcher really likes Veronica, finding her to be funny, competent, and very, very funny; the man could not deal with another moral compass on the team. Even when he's not a hundred percent down with an idea of hers, he'll back it up just to start shit with Annie and M.M. The guy's gotta get his fun in somehow.
He also definitely would invite her out to drink a lot (strictly platonically, though, because our boy is not a homewrecker).
However, it wouldn't be without its stressors. Considering Veronica's bluntness and lack of hesitation with calling out bullshit, I could see some pretty gnarly arguments happening between them, especially if it concerns Frenchie
On the topic of M.M. and Annie: M.M. does quite like Veronica and doesn't snap at her, but can get annoyed with her pretty quickly, especially when he senses that she's about to bail. Still, though, he finds her extremely intelligent and invaluable to the team, and believes her to be a very good person, even with her guarded exterior.
And, for Annie — I hate to say it, but Veronica and Annie would not get along at the start. Annie is very much an endlessly hopeful and loyal person, to a rather damagingly "go down with the ship" mindset, and would find Veronica to be flaky, selfish, and a hazard, likely having a relationship with Veronica similar to her relationship with Butcher.
That doesn't mean there wouldn't be room for improvement, though. Annie's decently intuitive, and as she senses Veronica becoming more and more attached to the team, would begin warming up to her and holding far more respect for her as a person.
Hughie would be quite wary of Veronica and probably wouldn't interact with her too much — sorry, he's a nervous little fella — but, like M.M., would also hold a lot of respect for her.
Kimiko would love her, finding her to be an extremely funny, interesting person. Like Frenchie, Kimiko is someone who highly values honesty, and would find her to be a refreshing person to be around, especially since Veronica isn't afraid of standing her own.
Additionally, Kimiko is admittedly pretty drawn to gossip and other "nosy" things that she wasn't able to pick up on or enjoy during her time in the Shining Light Liberation Army, so if Veronica dispels any information she's picked up on to Kimiko? The woman will be sold.
So... welcome to the team. She's one of the boys, for sure.
#this is a bit less descriptive than the prior ship bc i didnt want to overwrite your own character >_<#i hope you like it!! thank you for being so sweet :3 <3#the boys#the boys ship request#annie january#billy butcher#frenchie#hughie campbell#kimiko miyashiro#mothers milk the boys#mm the boys#marvin t milk

With the whole character pole movie thing happening right now, i'd like to compile a list of MHA movie ideas ive had that I personally would either really like to actually be a movie or something I think would be really funny.
1) of course an obvious choice would be the backstory of one of the older characters. An All Might centered SOMETHING is long overdue, seeing other characters we know and love, like Aizawa, Mirko, Hawks, Recovery Girl, hell I'm even thinking principle Nedzu! We have seen snippets of some of their backstories but never the full picture and I would be enthralled to have a prequel piece about one of them.
2) A movie based around Eri but instead of it being her tragic past or about her using her quirk again as a teenager, it's a slice of life about her music club.
3) A movie centered around Sato. It follows the main plot of the show but instead shows us that during every major event, when he's been sidelined and deemed not important, he was actually doing something really cool the whole time and no one ever noticed. He ends up canonically confirmed to be the strongest character.
4) Another movie about Midoriya but this time it's a documentary about his life where all the information told is wildly incorrect.
5) Another prequel piece but this time about the dawn of quirks and society as it was then.
6) smth about Gentle and la brava but it's literally just a twitch stream
7) Kaminari filming a "day in the life" vlog. It follows class 1-a through a whole day through Kaminaris perspective. Shit like "hey guys this is my morning routine and all my classmates, now it's time for school, hero training montage, lunch time, we were attacked again, nvm it's cool now, time for bed!" It's 5 minutes long and gets uploaded to YouTube instead of a movie release.
8) the league of villains but it's about them doing something incredibly mundane like buying groceries or going to Taco bell. Bonus points if they run into one of the heros or students while it happens and they all collectively decide they're too tired to do anything about it so they just pretend the other isn't there.
9) A movie about all the members of Class 1-A EXCEPT for Todoroki Bakugou and Midoriya. They are not mentioned or seen throughout the entire movie until the end where they end up crashing a burning vehicle into the side of a building. We are never told what they were up to.
10) something about one of the other groups of students we don't get to see a lot. Like the big 3, class b, or the shiketsu kids!
11) Hero prom. No ships are made cannon but absolutely every single one is hinted at
12) A movie centered around a side character that has like 3 lines. Like the cat detective or that kindergarten teacher whose students torture her all the time. Bonus points if it's revealed they did something that was actually integral to the plot.
13) Nothing happens. Literally nothing. We sit there and watch Midoriya do his homework for 2 hours. 20 minutes in lofi music starts playing

Short clip of David Tennant talking about presenting as part of Comic Relief tonight. I can only add one video per post and I'm not going to spam the timeline, so you can find the rest of the video on BBC iPlayer (interview starts about 02:32:10) - sorry for lack of captions but for some reason they really lagged. Transcript instead (auto-generated but I think I caught everything)
Transcript
Charlie Stayt: Sometimes it's just best not to know. The brilliant thing about comic relief is that money raises. I was reading those figures is it 1.5 billion over
David Tennant: the past nine years? Yeah, one and a half. And counting
Charlie Stayt: we often the say the same thing here in the morning UK. How will people now given the struggles and every household you know, just making ends meet? Is there going to come with come a time when people just hold back a bit and then you see the numbers again, it's
David Tennant: one of the things that we see on the show tonight. We absolutely understand not everyone's able right now to be giving money away and that's that's also fine. This is just you know, we're all aware that the country we're all in I got to live in crisis. It's it's tough right now. It's just if you can, and we show the examples of what the money can do and it is absolutely life changing.
Naga Munchetty: Have you prepared yourself for all the films that come out because when you see them, they're emotional. Have you been sat in front of them so that you can hold it together?
David Tennant: I haven't seen all of them. I do a voice track for that. I've seen that one, which is an incredible film about about bringing fresh water to Somalia. You know, in a country we have to choose between or an area in Somalia, we have to choose between fresh water or going to school. That's not a choice, you know, and currently is able to bring the fresh water you don't have to pay for any more. Here you go. So your kids can go to school. I mean, it's so that's a sort of such a fundamental human right. So it's all about stuff like that all over the world and a lot of home in Britain too.
Charlie Stayt: They don't get you every time there's stories that get you every time. What's the costume for tonight, you know, are you wearing?
David Tennant: I'll be wearing a lovely. I've been trying to be as smart as you Charlie. Yeah, I've done that works.
Charlie Stayt: I think that would be a nice casual. Comfortable approach.
David Tennant: Yeah, understated in it.
Naga Munchetty: It's lovely. Do you want to practice a little bit just in terms of live reading? You are on camera four.
David Tennant: Do I just read this now?
Charlie Stayt: You don't have to lean in so close
Naga Munchetty: Well, you can it was intimate it was, you're connecting with the audience
David Tennant: you guys. You guys are very chill. You know how to you're very relaxed, you're very at home here
Charlie Stayt: in fact I shouldn't have said anything, do your own style, I'll shut up
David Tennant: Comic Relief is on tonight at 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

axelle judges bl shows > Be My Favorite
summary: Kawi is 30 and lives a shitty life. His father died, he has a low paying but exhausting job, no friends, and Pear, the girl he's liked since his university days, is getting married to their classmate, Pisaeng. When Kawi discovers that he has the ability to travel through time, becoming 20 again, he decides to try and seduce Pear. One problem: Pisaeng is there to get in his way.
where to watch: youtube
grade: 8,5/10
pros:
the story is not only pretty original, but very well written. I think everyone can find themselves relating to elements of the show, and I loved the topic of wanting to go back in time to fix things which is something everyone has wished at least once in their life. I also love that we see the characters slowly detach themselves from trying to change & predict the future, but actually enjoy the present, which is a pretty beautiful message to pass. the theme of the show truly makes it so lovable and important in my eyes.
the acting was really good from everyone! my favorites were of course my baes gawin & aye who especially slayed :) krist also really impressed me considering I was obviously skeptical about him acting in bl again.
LOVED LOVED LOVED the pisaeng coming out storyline. it wasn't anything incredibly original, but actually was never done that way in a bl show & made incredibly respectfully and well, especially thanks to fluke gawin's performance!
gawinkrist ate?? the chemistry was mostly really good on & off screen and they really sold pisaengkawi to me.
cons:
all of my problems with the show come from the writing, so here you go:
I wish we'd seen kawi's feelings more before he changed his mind from liking pear to wanting to be with pisaeng. I know it was explained as him suddenly realizing it once pisaeng was gone from his life, but I still wish they'd given it slightly more time so we could really feel the weight of kawi's feelings.
I found the pisaengkawi's first time storyline kinda badly executed, even though the sex scene in itself was beautifully acted & filmed. kawi's discomfort with sex is never explored, and he changed his mind without us ever seeing his thought process. I wish we could've gotten a scene where pisaengkawi discussed their relationship with sex & it was made clear that kawi does want to have sex but is just scared, bc without that scene, it feels like kawi doesn't really want it, and the cut from pisaengkawi not getting along great to them having sex was really jarring in the show.
I wanted the side characters to be more developed, and believe there was enough screentime for that. I would've loved to see pear finding herself outside of romantic relationships, kwan finally meeting a man that treats her like she deserves, I wanted max to be more than just activist pride guy (which, SLAY!) and get more screentime & depth bc he's fucking iconic, and even crusty not should've been shown having grown & become a better person after 10 years.
would I rewatch it: absolutely!
If you'd told me Be My Favorite would be one of my favorite shows of the year, I would have laughed at you in the face. In fact, I was the first one doubting this pairing and even the precedent one, but I gotta say... this show really pulled through for me. It is more flawed than I'd like, but still a very touching show about a topic frankly rarely or even never seen in bl. I'm so glad I gave it a chance :)

hello new mutual! <3 what are your top 5 favorite star wars moments (film and/or tv)?
hello!!! 💜 ty for the ask!! 😊 i tried to just go with my first instincts, otherwise i’d be here all day thinking about this lol. also i'm going to cheat and do top 5 movie moments and top 5 tv moments 🤪
top 5 movie sw movie moments:
binary sunset. i mean, how could it not be a favorite moment? the music, luke's face as he looks out at the twin suns setting. that's cinema babey!!
rey using the force to grab anakin/luke's lightsaber out of the snow in TFA. i got full-body chills the first time i saw that.
anakin vs obi wan fight in ROTS. what can i say, it's the best lightsaber fight in the whole saga and it's exhilarating to watch! plus it's bookended by two of the most heartbreaking scenes, and i just love the tragedy lol
jyn and cassian "your father would have been proud" final scene on the scarif beach. like it's.... yeah 😭 the rebellion is about sacrifice but there's still hope and the MUSIC. ahhhhh
leia rescuing han from the carbonite. i think the "who are you?" "someone who loves you" exchange is underrated and i just love the beginning of rotj a lot and this is one of my fave parts <3
top 5 tv moments:
does all of rebels count as a favorite moment? asfsdflsjkl
but seriously, kanan's "i'm about to let everyone in on the secret" jedi reveal moment in the pilot. cheering screaming crying about it, instantly made me fall in love with him
ezra looking up at the vent in the rebels finale, quietly saying "one last time" and well, iykyk. it makes me cry like a baby every time lol. it's a subtle moment, but so impactful!
maul’s speech to ahsoka about the republic falling, combined with his “let me go, let me die! you don’t know what you’re doing! we’re all going to burn, we’re all going to die!” in the phantom apprentice. Again, full body chills, and i so badly wish i could watch that ep for the first time again.
when vader showed up in the village in ep3 of the kenobi show. if i could bottle that emotion, the absolute RUSH i got seeing hayden vader properly again, i’d never have to drink caffeine again lmao
there are so many andor moments i could choose from, but i’m going to go with flying through the eye in ep6. just the way the eye looked in general, they did such an incredible job with that. that scene was just the perfect combo of awe-inspiring, edge-of-your-seat terrifying but exciting, plus nemik’s “climb!” paralleling k2’s 😭 the visuals have stuck with me since i watched that ep
ask me my top 5/top 10 anything!
#there are too many honorable mentions to list. i'm already second-guessing myself lol but i feel like this is a good selection!#star wars#asks#answered#mik chats

Top 5 TV shows or Top 10 movies, your move.
Why not both?
Okay, Top Five TV shows first.
5: NCIS.
Loved that show, even though it's gone on too long (happy it outlasted Supernatural though.)
4: Castle.
It was a great show, especially since they let Nathan Fillion be such a retard XD.
3: Psych.
It's been too long since I saw this show, but oh how I love it.
2: Firefly.
Although it's got too many sex scenes for me to watch without skipping some parts, it's one, worth the Skip Button, and two, downright hilarious (the movie does not exist to me, I will FIGHT YOU over that.)
1: The A-Team.
My absolute childhood. My precious memories. The first love of my live action TV life.
To be serious, this show had it all, and the cast got an undeserved sidelining just because they accepted the roles and stories in it.
TOP TEN MOVIES, GO!!!
10: Thor.
Great movie, and an amazing introduction to Thor. Highly recommended.
9: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
Honestly, the only reason this isn't higher is because I don't often sit down and watch it anymore. But it holds up incredibly well, and I'll always love it.
8: The Jungle Book.
I always loved this film, but it was never that high on my list. It still holds a special place in my heart, but not as high as others.
7: Pacific Rim.
The fact that only 20 minutes of the film actually has the Jaegers in it and fighting, and then kills them all at the end, is utterly criminal. I want more of Gipsy and his brothers killing monsters, but without the crap that's since seeped into the franchise, or without the self-aggrandising that happened a lot in between the battles.
6: Transformers: Age of Extinction.
Look, I know the Bayverse had its problems, and that Optimus wasn't written as well as he could/should have been. However, this film was the best of the movie 'verse, and was the ONLY adaptation to test Optimus' faith in humanity in a believable way, especially compared to his character assassination in Rise of the Beasts. Moreover, while his faith in humanity was tested, it didn't break; and frankly, when you consider all the Autobot lives lost in defense of Earth/humanity, you can really empathize with Optimus' doubts, especially because despite those doubts, he never actually grievously harmed a human. The one human kill he did make was in defense of another, which never struck me as wrong outside of the creators making a plot where that would happen (and even then, I was supremely grateful Optimus did that to protect Cade. Again, it's within his established characterization to preserve life, even if he hates taking a life to accomplish that goal.)
5: Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
This is the best Star Trek film ever, and no one can change my mind. I will go to my grave a massive fan of the action, drama, and comedy in this show.
4: Rise of the Guardians.
I think this movie had a more positive effect on me than I realized. Grade A storytelling, and a pity we never got more out of DreamWorks for the film franchise.
3: A Muppet Christmas Carol.
This movie was perfect in so many ways. I love it, and it's the best adaptation of A Christmas Carol.
2: Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
I will never shut up about how good this movie is, nor will I accept haters of the film whining about it on my blog and I may write up my own third film for the movies but we'll see.
1: The Polar Express.
This movie is the epitome of perfection for Christmas movies. It's the story of how faith and belief goes beyond worldly reason and holds fast to what humanity deems impossible, but is the Truth, and I love it for that.
Thanks for the asks! This was fun!

First review I’ve seen in Norwegian so I copied the text in Google translate 😄
You really have to love Céline Dion to put up with this trash.
IN THEATER MAY 12, 2023: I have absolutely nothing against romantic comedies, as long as they are genuinely fresh, sweet and funny.
"Love Again" is neither, but leans on tired clichés, chemistry-less leads and a silly story that will cause frequent rolling of the eyes.
In addition, it cultivates Céline Dion, the Canadian superstar who both plays herself and is one of the film's producers. If you are one of Dion's followers, and are deeply moved by her songs and lyrics, it can be thought that "Love Again" has its mission, because it is shaped by the same reading.
If, on the other hand, you find her music intolerable, this will feel like torture, because the film is like a Greatest Hits cavalcade of it. She even mentions the Eurovision Song Contest, which she won for Switzerland in 1988, which perhaps explains the film's strategic release date the day before this year's final?
"Love Again" has no ironic distance from either the genre or the music, and maintains such a low quality that it is difficult to see what this has to do with cinema. You really have to love Céline Dion to put up with this moth.
Sending text messages to deceased boyfriend
The premise of the story could have been used for something halfway interesting. The children's book author Mira (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) witnesses the death of her boyfriend John on the streets of New York - in a scene with a comically bad presentation of the shock.
Two years later, she starts texting him in an attempt to process her grief and loss. Little does she know that everything is being read by music journalist Rob (Sam Heughan), who has unknowingly taken over John's old number on his new work phone at The New York Chronicle newspaper.
He does not respond to these messages, but becomes obsessed with finding out who the mysterious sender really is. But he doesn't think to look up the number or call it from another phone. Not much for a journalist, that is.
That their paths nevertheless cross is hardly a revelation, but he remains silent about having received and read the messages, which according to the recipe creates the conditions for a small twist in the thread.
At the same time, he has been tasked with writing a large article about Céline Dion, who will embark on her first US tour in 10 years. And then, incredibly, it will turn out that she would much rather help the journalist with his private love life than promote herself, which seriously lowers the film's credibility into the deepest abyss.
Stiff-legged romance and predictable complications
The best thing I can say about "Love Again" is that it is filmed with beautiful people in an urban setting.
Indian Priyanka Chopra Jonas ("Quantico", "Baywatch", "Citadel") and Scottish Sam Heughan ("Outlander", "The Spy Who Dumped Me", "Bloodshot") seem like sympathetic actors.
Unfortunately, they have little chemistry and are unable to play their way out of the script's horribly stiff romance, which is as unconvincing as the thinnest and assembly line-produced weekly short story.
Director Jim Strouse ("The Incredible Jessica James") is also behind the script, or was it written by ChatGPT? It has so many generic "qualities" that one can be fooled.
He throws his characters into several predictable entanglements that could have been playfully prevented, so that the artificial moments of tension maintain a very low temperature.
The scene that gets the most chuckles (which means "a little") is a Tinder date where Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Mira meets the sleazy hottie Joel, because he is played by her real-life husband Nick Jonas.
Smeared with sugar and syrup
And then there's Céline Dion, then. You have to respect what she has achieved in her genre, but she is definitely not a good actress.
Even when she speaks seemingly candidly about missing her great love, the manager René Angélil, who died in 2016, it seems as flat and fake as her unnatural interest in the music journalist's private life.
At one point, she also gives Mira, who is a writer and illustrator of cute children's books, the task of designing her new tour posters. Hello? In what world would we have believed this? We never get to see the result, but are left with the impression that the film's raison d'etre is to promote Dion's generosity and warmth of heart.
Sure, I know this is supposed to be a romantic fantasy, which doesn't necessarily have to follow normal standards of quality, but gods know why Dion thought this would be career-boosting.
Devoted fans, excuse me, but "Love Again" is like the most excruciating, sugar and syrup-smeared 1980s power ballad imaginable, only it lasts 1 hour and 44 minutes.
One star might seem a bit harsh, but if the entire grading scale is ever to be used, it must be for films like this.

My thoughts on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (no major spoilers!)
It was amazing!!!!!! It was so much fucking fun!!!!
There were a lot of modern slang and pop-culture references but it never felt out-of-place or forced and felt like it was used naturally
I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTERS SO MUCH AHHHH THEY’RE ALL SO AWESOME!!!!!!!
All of the teenagers felt like actual teenagers, which you could kinda tell from the trailers but I just think it was done so well and was never annoying or overly stereotypical
Leonardo is the anxious, rule-following teen representation that my soul has wanted for years, since I WAS that anxious, rule-following teen
This movie almost made me want to be a teenager again, which I didn’t think was possible but here we are
The villain SuperFly was SO MUCH FUN, Ice Cube absolutely killed it for this role
The entire cast was amazing and did a great job!
The animation was incredible!!!! It’s obviously inspired by ITSV but put its own unique twist on it, you can see amateur-like scribbles on a lot of things like lights and close-up objects and it just made it so interesting; I wouldn’t call this movie “conventionally attractive” but I thought it was fucking gorgeous
Most of the music was pre-existing popular music but it was used very well and really added to the experience and the music choices were amazing!!!
I think this movie had some good messages about why we do good deeds, finding acceptance in a generally intolerant world, and tolerating things we don’t like for the sake of our loved ones
Did anyone else think they were foreshadowing Mikey getting seriously hit by a car or does Mikey just have bad luck with cars?
Leo’s crush on April was absolutely adorable but never felt distracting or overly-emphasized, it was touched on just as much as it needed to be
Splinter is a flawed but great father who loves his sons more than anything and just wants them to be happy, I loved his story in this film
I LOVED APRIL!!!!! I especially loved her introduction and how Leo is ABSOLUTELY SMITTEN with her, and she’s just great the whole movie, she has her own character arc that mimics the turtles’ and it has a great conclusion!!
THERE IS A MID-CREDITS SCENE!!!!! DON’T MISS IT!!! In the theatre, there was actually a guy about 5 rows in front of me who yelled “WOOOOOOO!!” Really loudly at the end of the mid-credits scene and it was awesome!!
I love how this film had a bit more of a focus on the general NYC population, they actually were important and did stuff unlike the other adaptations I’ve seen that usually push them to the side
This movie was mostly a comedy but had some small emotional moments here and there that stuck well
I already made a post about this but there is a character who vomits on screen multiple times in the movie so if you’re sensitive to that please proceed with caution
Great fun movie! 9/10 would recommend to most people

Ayyyyyyyyyyyyy thank u so much for the tag @loyle-trash !!!!!! U have such great taste, i esp loved I Wish I Was Your Cigarette by K.I.D. It's such a specific mood, i know for SURE i wouldve eaten that shit UP when i was all up in my feelings abt this fucking guy last summer. Such a vibe, such a moment in time.
Speaking of moments in time.....
Clover's Top 10 Songs of Right Now
#1: HOT TO GO! - Chappell Roan
If I could stop singing the chorus and doing the YMCA-ass dance while I do it that would b incredible for my sanity, self image, and professional reputation. Unfortunately.....
#2: Internet Killed the Video Star- The Limousines
Absolutely love this song. It's not a parody of the og Buggels song we all know and love- it's an evolution of it. There's connective tissue, one similar vocal riff, certain moments that make u go oh yea i know it, but it really does feel like an updated reimagined homage- exactly what the song is all about. It's a sequel to a song written in 1979, grown and reflected in 2011.
#3: Closing Time - Leonard Cohen
Leonard Cohen the man that you are....... for real has anyone written a lyric like him. This song is a euphoric swell of grief. And the way it sounds???? Unmatched. Perfection.
#4: Thank God and Jimmy Buffett - Pitbull
I gotta give some respect to Pitbull for making the same music in 2024 that he did in 2012. And both Pitbull and i have to give some respect to Jimmy Buffett, the margaritaville man, myth, and legend. I was going to see him at a QnA for the movie All That is Sacred at a film festival, but he died the night before. When i found this song i immediately sent it to Jax, my bff and the biggest parrothead i know
#5: Shiny Is The View - Cosmo Sheldrake
Cosmo Sheldrake's new album absolutely slaps. I describe their sound in a metaphor: imagine in the 70s there was a low budget kids show about a family of bears, played by actors in shaggy mascot suits. This show was later franchised into a theme park, which in the ensuing years went bankrupt and was abandoned. Now decades later, you're an urban explorer walking through this dilapidated park, and happen upon a splash mountain- style log ride. As you enter, the decrepit and decayed animatronics begin to sing again. This is what they'd sing
#6: Sedona - Houndmouth
If you want to experience peace, walk down a busy road at sunset with this song in your headphones. First song i listened to the morning of january 1st. Changed my life fr.
#7: Astrovan - Mt Joy
A friend of mine sang this at karaoke once. The whole room screamed the lyrics. Never felt so connected to a group of people in my life. I miss them, i miss them all.
#8: Despite What You've Been Told - Two Gallants
Heard this song as the weather in night vale. Listened to it obsessively because it reminded me of barney stinson from how i met your mother. The 10 year anniversary of the worst finale of all time just passed, and i started rewatching this show again for the first time since it ended. I was reminded of this song. This song is so tight, so brilliantly worded, so perfectly balanced. If you havent listened since 2014, remind urself.
#9: All This Money - Injury Reserve
BROKE BITCH ANTHEMMMMMMMMM
#10: Daisy, We Got a Good Thing - The Burkharts
This song sounds like the beach boys. I love its peppy smoothness, the harmonies, the little ooooooohs swooping up and down in the background. My favorite little brian wilson-y touch is the falsetto singing behind the chorus. Love this. So summery
This took an obscene amount of time to format XP
I tag @twogoliathbeetles @jonathan-yeet @punk-dad-sharkz @slugbabyboy @minecraft-sex-videos @odelayed @regent-of-rarepairs @phantomicroyal @fallawaystar and YOU i want to hear ur jamzzzzzzzzz

Film lesbian making a (very late) return 🫡
Okay i haven’t shared my thought on stuff i’ve watched in FOREVER but in my defence i was rewatching mlp and now ive finally watched enough to make a post about 🙏
First off:
Twilight: ?/10
okay so obviously twilight is bad but it’s so bad that it’s good??? also i can’t believe im first watching twilight in 2024 either but here we are 😞 had to pause a million times because i physically couldn’t get thru some of the dialogues but i would absolutely watch it again
The boys: 12/10
OBVIOUSLY incredible but also completely rotted my brain. miserable in a way that i very much enjoyed. bonus points because lesbians writing the most insane homelander fics you will ever see in your life is the kinda thing the world needs 🙏 i’ll probably share my thoughts on season 4 when it comes out if i remember
Gen V: 8/10
if u loved the boys and don’t like this i’m convinced it’s because u hate queer rep so 🤨 i fucking loved this shit we need more gen z college shows (so actors in their late 20s will stop being cast as TEENAGERS 🤞) the end of season 1 was so frustrating but obviously that’s the point so i demand a season two immediately please and thank you
Jojo Rabbit: 10/10
amazing film. made me cry but i knew that would happen going into it. my dad also watched it and said it was good so if u don’t wanna listen to me u should listen to my dad because he has good takes 👍
Dirty dancing: 10/10
AGAIN how have i not watched this before??? not usually my kinda movie i guess but you can’t fault it i had a great time
My adventures with superman: 9/10
