Thank you for a very swift reply and some great tips! I'm having to remember some unclear details from what little fashion/textiles I did on my old art course, but that was something I don't remember covering.

I don't know a lot about American Apparel (never seen any stores here in England but there could be one somewhere), but I've had that problem with trousers waaaaay too much.

because said shirts (I'm hoping) I can do as a one of a kind type of thing, I'm hoping to go with cotton for general safety, and I think (?) most websites will cover that. I'd prefer to do it from home but I'm not sure if you need a special printer if you plan to iron-on transfer the image, but my concern with iron-on transfers is that I've seen them crack a lot.and it looks awful - especially when it's all shiny (I don't know if thats a thing with iron-on transfers so I apologise. It's almost 5am and I thought it was 4...whoops).
