I’ve been to China and had dinner with a Communist Party leader while there.

•   HOW LONG (MONTHS / YEARS?): My first rp ever was on MSN groups when I was 11 or 12 so 13-14 years ago. •   PLATFORMS YOU’VE USED: MSN Groups, Gaia Online, Private forum sites my partners and I created, Instant Messengers, and here. •   BEST EXPERIENCE: I can’t really say. My partners that I have here are some of the best I’ve ever had but as a whole its really hard to find partners here - especially as someone who plays Female OCs. Honestly, my best rp experiences come from people - not sites.

📻 = What music genre do the mun and muse listen to the most? Any favorite bands?

Eunseong: All I listen to music wise is what’s on the radio while I’m working, and occasionally some instrumental OSTs at home if for some reason I’m having trouble reading in silence. I can barely link bands to songs, so I don’t really have a favorite genre or band. 

Mun: I listen to a wide variety of music. I tend to avoid songs that are purely rap, have a lot of autotune, or are the stereotypical songs you would find in a club- too much EDM is just headache inducing for me, but everything else I’ve probably listened to it. I like songs that are very harmony heavy. In terms of favorite bands or groups, I don’t think I have one in kpop yet, but I really like Bump of Chicken (a J-rock band). 

🎸 = Can either the mun or muse play an instrument? Which one(s)?

Eunseong: No I can’t play any instrument.

Mun: I used to be in a choir during high school, and it was required to have at least basic piano knowledge. Could I replicate any of that knowledge now? Definitely not. 

🍳 = What are the mun’s and muse’s favorite foods?

Eunseong: My favorite food of all time is strawberry ice cream. In terms of not desserts, I like bibimbap, plain cheese pizza and grapes. 

Mun: Barbecue eel, tonkatsu, gnochi, perogies, and most kinds of smoothies. No joke if one of my friends owe me money, 9 times out of 10, they pay me back by buying me smoothies.

1. Why did you choose your URL?

My original intent with my characters (these ones, at least) was to figure them out for a novel/graphic novel I hoped to write. In the world this book/series would take place in there was a race of indigenous peoples known as the Azkets. My previous URL was @azketi--chief, and decided to stay in the same vein this time around.

2. What is your middle name?

Ashley

3. If you could own a fairytale/fictional pet, what would it be?

Heck... a unicorn would be dope. Into The Land Of The Unicorns and Unicorns of Balinor, along with Unicorns Vs. Zombies were some of my favorite books and series in my tween-teen years. Now that they're back in mind, I kind of want to pick up a copy of the first two again... (also Flutterby as illustrated by Robin James. I'd accept that lil fluff of a pegicorn as well)

4. Favorite color?

See, I always said purple. But I had a dream once where I was asked and I remember looking around at all these different colors and patterns and I remember saying "green, or other natural colors"

5. Favorite song?

A favorite for a while now has been Colter Wall's cover of Big Iron. I absolutely love his voice, and it's an Andgriel song that I find comfort in

6. What are your top three fandoms?

I also don't find myself drawn to fandoms--I find myself easily overwhelmed or feeling like I don't enjoy something enough to be included. I semi-actively follow a few different franchises/have top favorite pieces of media which include the graphic novel series Saga, Cyberpunk 2077, and Stephen King. I don't partake in the all-consuming part of fandom, though

7. Why do you enjoy tumblr?

I enjoy the access to a variety of people who challenge me daily as both an artist and as a person, and enjoy the ability to really flex the creative muscle without feeling like I'm married to something. I could be here today, gone tomorrow without repercussion, you know?

URL origin: It’s a variation on a song titled “My Favorite Faded Fantasy” by Damien Rice. The lyrics don’t really apply to the blog or anything, but I loved the idea of “Faded Fantasies” and the overall mood of the song. I’ve stuck with the song habit since creating it - almost all threads I name are a song title or lyric and they all have a reason behind them.

Mun vs Muse

👻 = What is the scariest thing to ever happen to the mun and muse? 

Eunseong: Easily what happened after I turned 10. I had no clue where I was or what was going on. I have a scar, so I can never forget it despite how much I want to forget that horrible memory. 

Mun: Well I’m a university student, and during my first year, there was a shooting quite close to campus. I was actually out that night, and was in walking distance from where it happened. Three Muslim students died. Although it was just speculation officially, it was very obviously a hate crime. Six months later, there was an armed man on my floor in my apartment complex who was looking to achieve the same thing. Thankfully no one was injured, but I was hiding in my closet scared out of my mind for a couple hours.

☢ What fads/trends are you so over?

SELF INSERTS. Holy shit. There are times I can get it, I get that in some senses it can be therapeutic to roleplay scenarios, but for the love of every god and devil, Please Make Sure Your RP Partner Knows. ALSO, and Sarge (@stillwater-butcher) has already had to listen to me rant about this, there are times where a self insert isn't therapeutic and is instead a form of self harm and once I realized, it's hard to unsee it. Giving a character what someone feels is their insecurities or their shortcomings, or giving them the really difficult scenarios or biases that were put against them to then play out is just plain old very terrible for their mental health. Not to mention it can then make partners INCREDIBLY uncomfortable, on top of having to try and not further traumatize the mun in question, or try to satiate the mun's needs with their replies.

✂ A fandom that you feel isn’t open and accepting?

Since I haven't really experienced fandoms, since I've always written and mostly played against OC's, canon divergent canons, or people who beefed up minor characters into mains of their own, I haven't had a lot of experience with fandoms as a whole. What I can vouch for though is the OC community isn't much better, from all the horror stories I've heard of the fandom community, with the added bonus of people hardcore self-inserting. At the end of the day, I'm okay keeping hardcore fandoms at an arms length lmao.

❥ Has someone ever ruined an FC or character for you?

I wouldn't say that anyone has ruined a character or FC for me specifically, but I've definitely lost interest in certain overused FC's or found myself steering clear of interacting with certain characters when a fandom explodes with main character canon muses (did that even make sense? Lmao). I can't even tell you how long it took me to finally watch The Witcher, and I still find myself steering clear of the abundance of Geralt muses on here. Not everyone has main character capabilities (oops).
