All I learned about myself is that I really liked those cat filters on Snow App ><”” I also didn’t take as many pictures in my cosplays this time around. I only have one from Anime Expo this last year ;_; I’ll try to take more in my other cosplays in this coming year~
I’ve been gone from tumblr for a bit so I’m not entirely sure who to tag, but if you would like to do this, go for it~ You can say that I tagged you :3

I was tagged by @goodnightkisseu Thanks so much for the tag!!! I Love You
The rules are:
1. Tag the person who tagged you
2. Answer the questions.
3. Tag 10 people
Let’s get it started!
•How tall are you?
I’m ~162cm / 5ft 4in. I guess I’m average height, not too tall, not too short.
•What color and style is your hair?
I have straight long black hair that goes down to my butt. I always wear it in a high or low ponytail.
•What color are your eyes?
Brown
•Do you wear glasses?
No, I don’t wear glasses.
•Do you wear braces?
I’ve never had braces before.
•What’s your fashion sense?
Do I even have sense? LOL. When I go outside, I just wear low cut jeans that go down just below the knee and a really big t-shirt when it’s warm. With my favorite Camouflage Hoodie when it’s cold. If I stay inside, I just wear an oversized tank top with sweatpants. So I like comfy and casual I guess.
•Full name?
Full first name: Mai, that’s it.
•When were you born?
I was born on June 10, 1994.
•Where are you from and where do you live now?
I was born in Thai land, but only lived there for ten months before immigrating to Appleton, WI. Then we moved from Appleton to Wausau, to a small town called Stevens Point, then to Plover. I grew up basically in Wisconsin. now I live in California.
•What school do you go to?
I graduated long, long ago back in 2012. I’m basically an ancient artifact. LOL.
•What kind of student are you?
I was an outcast throughout my whole school life. I wasn’t a good student either. I fell asleep in class, spent too much time writing my fanfictions instead of listening to the lesson, and used homework time to stalk my bias on the internet. I almost never do my homework. I always came up with excuses and lies to skip school so it was a surprise how I passed my classes and graduated. I’m a bad student now that I think of it oh my gosh.
•Do you like school?
I hated going to school, but it was the only way to escape from home. My parents are really strict so they never let me go outside if not to school. But when I didn’t want to go, I will just stay in my bedroom and draw and sing and write. The only reason why I loved school was because of Art and Music classes.
•Favorite subject?
Like I said, I love Art and Music. I was also a big fan of my Reading and Language Arts class because I loved to write. Also Physical Education just because I love to shoot hoops by myself when we have free days.
•Favorite TV show?
My favorite TV show has to Supernatural! I just fall in love with Dean Winchester each and every time I re-watch the series from the beginning. I have the complete seasons from one to the current one and will get the next season as well. And a TV show that I also love a lot is Psych. I just recently purchased the complete collection for $70 and I don’t regret it.
•Favorite Movie?
I have so many favorite Movies. Can I even name them all?
•Favorite books?
I don’t quite read many books nowadays. Even back in high school, I only loved reading Manga. I can say that I literally checked out all of the manga series we had in the school library. But word books, I used to read the House of Night Series and I remember always going back to check them out again. Currently I just purchased the Lunar Chronicles and I’m obsessing over those books now.
•Favorite pastime?
I love to do anything artistic. Reading, Writing, Singing, Dancing, Rapping, Drawing. I sometimes come up with my own song lyrics and raps, but I’m not that great. I also love watching dramas and just browsing YouTube for anything new. The rest of the time I have I will spend on social media.
•Do you have any regrets?
Honestly who doesn’t? I regret a lot of things in life. Things I’ve done and things I haven’t done. Everything is a regret.
•Dream job?
Back in elementary school, I wanted to become a Kindergarten teacher or art teacher. In middle school I wanted to be a singer/actress. In High school, I wanted to be a writer, like screenplay or just publishing my own books. Now I want to be someone who gets paid to just travel the world. I want to go from place to place and experience the world and not have to be tied down to one place for all of my life.
•Would you ever like to be married?
I’d like to say that I would, but at the same time, I don’t want to. I’ve seen too many failed relationships that It scares me. Yet I still dream of meeting that special someone who can make me feel safe and assure me the nothing is wrong.
•Would you like to have kids?
I personally don’t want any kids, but I’m okay with having kids, just not too many. The thing with me is I love naming babies. But I’m afraid of the pain.
•How many?
One or two will do. I’ve always thought that if I were to have kids, I’d want to get twins one of each gender so that it’ll be just one time pain then it’s over, no more. But things never go thee way we want so...
•Do you like shopping?
Yes I love shopping. Especially Window shopping. I will go the store and put everything I want into the cart, then by the time I get to the check out, there’s only one or two items left. LOL. Because as I walk through the store, I like to over think and see if I really need it or do I just want it.
•What countries have you visited?
The US. That’s it.
•Scariest nightmare you have ever had?
My scariest dream is of the thing I fear the most. I’m so scared of it, that sometimes when I go to places that remind me of it, I can see it happening in front of me without even having to sleep. I’m scared of Dragons. I once had a dream that I was walking on a trail in the woods and came beside a river. There was a small clearing with a bench and a fallen tree going into the river. I was watching a couple sitting there when suddenly a big dragon just lifted it’s head from the water standing about 20 feet and gobbled up the man. That’s why I have a fear of any body of water.
•Any enemies?
Not that I know of.
•Any significant other?
I wish. LOL. Not really.
•Do you believe in miracles?
I believe in Miracles, but I know that they are not true. So does that mean I believe in them or not? I’ve never experienced one before. Haha
•How are you?
I’m doing amazing today! I just had some “discussions” with my lovely mutual today and I couldn’t help but laugh and smile. I also spent the whole day texting my old friend from back in high school so I’m happy.
I’ll tag @xilverxtar0423, @smilelynongnong, @yuemeii, @kissm3undrthemistl3to3, @ahgase55g7, @ahgasetay and anyone else that wants to do this. I feel like most already have other than me cause I got no content at all. Feel free to do as you wish!!!

Guardian: Hand-Picked (collab)
Summary: You had lived for years with just you and your guardian angel, Changkyun. But when Kihyun enters your world, things change – for the better.
Pairing: Im Changkyun x Yoo Kihyun x reader (not in a love triangle way)
Genre: guardian angel au / humour / fluff
Warnings: none
A/N: This is part of the Guardian collab with @this-song-thats-only-for-you and @goodnightkisseu. It was an impromptu idea from one of those MX games by your zodiac sign, so we went with who we got and created a story from it!
Word count: 2651
Other stories in this collab: By My Side | Hidden Glances
Your life had been pleasant for the most part. You had grown up well enough, leaving your awkward teenage years behind you and blossoming into an adult. Sure, you sometimes missed the simplicity of being a child without adult pressures, but you were naturally responsible and thrived with a lot of the new chances you had as grown-up making your mark in the world.
You would go to work, enjoy hanging out with friends and exploring new places when you had the chance to. And when the day was over, you would return to your apartment, cook dinner and then snuggle up with a good movie or book before going to bed and starting it all over the next day. It hadn’t felt like you needed any change to this daily in and out lifestyle you lived. You were content with what you already had.
Meeting Yoo Kihyun, however, changed all of that. Having a boyfriend was a new experience. Going out was now with someone who would hold your hand and smile endlessly at you. He would feed you the most delicious meals and whisper the sweetest compliments. If you had ever dreamed of having someone in your life, you were sure you had wished for Kihyun. He was exactly who you could ever want in a partner.
And you had your guardian angel to thank for that.
“Don’t go out today,” Changkyun warned you explicitly as you walked back and forth from your small bathroom to your not much bigger bedroom preparing for the day ahead. He followed right behind you, tapping you on your shoulder and letting out whines, the next more outlandish than the last. “Y/N, don’t! It’s going to end badly.”
“What is? I’m perfectly fine now, am I not?”
He rolled his eyes. “Because you’re home with me.”
“I can’t imagine anything changing for the worse, Kyun. I’m just going to work like I usually do.”
“And I’m just telling you what I feel in my stomach. It’s my job to pre-warn you of ill-fated events, Y/N.”
You shot Changkyun a hard look. “Last month you told me the same. I stayed home and you realised halfway through the day it was just indigestion. Which, I cannot believe an angel can suffer from!”
“Okay, so I made one mistake--”
“And two months ago you told me I would be in trouble so I again stayed home and then realised it was because you were cold and wanted to snuggle up all day long!”
Sitting down on the edge of your bed so you could put on your socks, Changkyun knelt before you, placing his hands on both of your knees.
“--a lot of mistakes, then. This time, Y/N, I’m not using my abilities to benefit me. Stay home, please. I don’t feel good about this.”
Letting out a sigh, you patted one of his shoulders affectionately. “I’ll be fine. And I promise if I feel odd at any point, I’ll just turn around and come back home.”
“It doesn’t work that way, Y/N!” he exclaimed as you got up and brushed passed him, shrugging on your coat and stepping into your boots. Changkyun swiftly took place in front of the door shaking his head. “I’m being serious. Don’t go.”
“I didn’t work for an entire month on this presentation to miss it, Kyun. I’ll be home later.”
Stepping under his arm, you opened the door and started your trek through the rain to the subway.
From here, you knew fewer details. Changkyun had informed you that you had ended up walking across a road that a car had suddenly lost control on and careened around, hitting you right as a man pulled you to safety.
And that was how you had met Kihyun in the first place.
When you woke in the hospital, he had been at your side, immediately relieved to see you alert again. And all you had noticed was the gash on his cheek and a forlorn-looking Changkyun behind him.
He had sent Kihyun forward to save you at the last minute.
What Changkyun – or even you, admittedly – hadn’t been prepared for was how much of an impact Kihyun’s arrival in your life would make.
And now, you were packing up the last of your things and moving in with your boyfriend of a year.
Much to Changkyun’s disdain.
“How are we meant to still live together?” Changkyun wondered as you zipped your luggage bag full of your necessities shut. He shifted back and forth across the tiny space of your bedroom and threw his hands in the air. “This is not what we should be doing, Y/N.”
“You’ve seen Kihyun’s apartment, it’s double the size of this place. There will be plenty of room for us to still live together.”
“I’d rather live in this shoebox for the rest of your life. Or move somewhere bigger. Just the two of us.”
“On my salary?” you mentioned, raising an incredulous eyebrow at the angel. “Seriously?”
“So let’s just stay here. We’re cosy here.”
“I can’t expect Kihyun to move in here!” you replied with a giggle, lifting your luggage off the bed. “This place barely fits us!”
“Let’s not move in with him at all.”
“You sound like a petulant child, Changkyun,” you warned and he rolled his eyes dramatically.
“I don’t care. I like it being just you and me.”
“And I like Kihyun, a lot. So can’t you be a little accommodating with this change?”
His immature grunt ended the argument but the stormy mood followed you all the way over to your new home, a scoff leaving him when you stretched up to kiss Kihyun in greeting.
“Is this really happening?” your boyfriend breathed as he held you tightly. “I don’t have to wake up tomorrow and send you back home?”
“I wish you would,” the angel muttered, unbeknownst to Kihyun.
“Instead we get to wake up in each other’s arms every day,” you offered and Kihyun grinned, kissing you briefly before blinking really fast. You frowned. “What is it?”
“I turned up the thermostat earlier but it’s suddenly so cold in here! You’re not freezing, are you?”
Sending a glare to the angel now playing with the heating system, you then tried to smile at Kihyun. “It’s going to be fine together; I’m sure whatever it is will settle down soon.”
Except, Changkyun didn’t settle any.
It was obvious that he was bitter and targeted Kihyun immaturely. And whenever your boyfriend wasn’t around, you were endlessly scolding him for his antics, telling him to stop being so rude to someone you cared about. You didn’t think you were being unreasonable, and considering Changkyun had sent Kihyun to your side, you had expected him to be relieved that you had someone he had handpicked.
Still, Kihyun was uncomfortable most days. “I had the worst sleep last night.”
“Did you? I slept so well,” you murmured, coming over to rub your partner’s shoulders gently. “Any reason why?”
“Something kept tickling my nose but every time I looked, there was nothing there!”
You narrowed your gaze on the angel eating toast across the room.
And when Kihyun went to take his shower, you rushed over and slapped the back of his head. “I swear to god, you are being so immature, Changkyun! Stop annoying Kihyun.”
“Maybe he’d have a better night’s rest sleeping in the guest room.”
“And why would he want to sleep there? Where would you then sleep?!”
“With you, like I used to.”
“Don’t be so ridic-”
“Y/N?” Kihyun called weakly, standing in the threshold and watching you in confusion. “What, or who are you talking to?”
“Uhhhhh.”
“Maybe I should show myself to your lover. You look insane right now,” Changkyun mused and you let out a small shriek before stomping off to the bedroom and slamming the door shut.
Even if a locked door could keep Kihyun out, it would be no match for an angel. However, you had become incredibly skilled in ignoring Changkyun when he annoyed you too much. And since he hated when you ignored him, it was as effective as a locked door was.
“Y/N, stop, come on! It’s me, Kyun! Don’t be so petty!”
You remained focused on the wall ahead of you.
“Fine, I’ll stop being so mean to him. I just don’t like Kihyun!”
“Why?” you asked and he breathed out in relief at finally garnering your attention.
“Because he’s, well he’s-”
“Because you think I pay him more attention than you, isn’t that right? You’re not used to sharing.”
The angel shrunk back, muttering under his breath and then nodded once.
“Kihyun thinks I’m absolutely insane now. You better help me fix this.”
“You have a what?” your boyfriend breathed once you had explained everything to him, staring at you with round eyes.
“Everyone has one,” you told him calmly. “Just some people aren’t aware of who they are. I had an incident when I was a kid where I fell out of a tree and Changkyun – my angel – was there when I woke up. Since then, he’s been with me every day.”
“Even when we’ve been dating?”
You nodded.
“And in the bedroom when we’re…?”
“Good god, I would never want to see that,” Changkyun retorted with a generous shudder as you shook your head repeatedly.
“No, but I lived with him before I met you and-”
“You lived with him?”
“As friends,” you reiterated and Changkyun nodded firmly. “Well, more like family. He’s a brother to me.”
“And he’s the reason we met that day?” You nodded to answer Kihyun’s question. “I always think about why I boldly stepped out that day as if I knew I had to. I didn’t even know what I was doing until it happened. And you’re saying some angel of yours made me?”
“Changkyun, show yourself, please,” you asked and with a sigh, Changkyun did whatever he had to make himself known to Kihyun.
And when he caught sight of him, Kihyun gasped noisily. “I know him!”
“You do?”
“I saw him right when I saved you.”
“Well, now he’s a believer,” Changkyun surmised disinterestedly, pointing to the kitchen. “Can dinner be started soon? I’m hungry.”
You took a deep breath, hoping that this was the right step forward to make both the most important men in your life live together with more ease.
It wasn’t just Changkyun now. You stared back at Kihyun, trying to fathom what he had just said. Your boyfriend pointed harshly to the angel now taking refuge behind you. “Again?!”
“You forgot to set me a place at the table!”
“You do know how sensitive Changkyun is about food,” you agreed weakly and Kihyun scoffed.
“Still, he made the water run cold on me right as I got the shampoo in my hair! What are you? Four years old?”
“Try adding on centuries to that!”
“My head hurts,” you proclaimed, moving over to the couch before glaring at both men who followed. “Can’t you both just get along for one day?!”
“He started this!”
“And so that gives you enough reason to take it out on me like a baby?!”
“You’re both acting like children,” you told them and folded your arms across your chest. “This is exhausting.”
“He’s got to go, Y/N!”
“Me?!” Changkyun echoed and laughed bitterly. “I was here first, if anyone has to go, it’s you, lover boy!”
“Anyone would think you have a crush on my girlfriend! In case you’ve forgotten, Y/N sees you as a brother. And I’m not going anywhere!”
“You know what?” you offered, standing back up as both men reached for one another. “I’ll go!”
“What?”
“Where would you go?” Kihyun added as you stalked over to the front door, collecting your bag from the entryway shelf. “It’s cold out today.”
“I don’t think it’s wise to leave, Y/N.”
“Well, I don’t care what’s wise or cold. Right now, I want to escape the both of you! This is getting ridiculous and I want to get out of here before I snap! Do not follow me in any way or I’ll never come back!”
And then you slammed the door behind you and stormed out into the street.
For an hour or two, you simply wandered, allowing your sour mood to dissipate whilst you walked wherever your feet would take you. After three hours, you took refuge in a coffee shop, thanking the clerk for bringing you a warm beverage that melted away any remaining chill within you as you sipped at it. For another hour, you watched the people go by and after six hours away from home, you decided to have a meal before heading home. It was really late now, and for once, you felt a little out of your comfort zone. You were never out this late alone and it made your footsteps hurried until you saw the apartment building.
There, you slowed right down to a snail’s pace; concerning yourself with the possible scenarios you would find when you opened the front door. You knew Changkyun couldn’t be badly harmed, and angels were sworn not to physically harm another. Still, you worried they were still fighting away with each other, and you really didn’t have the energy to face that.
You prepared yourself to simply enter the house and sleep in the guest room alone tonight. Instead, when you walked through the door, you heard a loud gasp and combined movement towards you.
“Thank god, you’re safe.”
“Don’t ever leave us like that again, Y/N.”
“Don’t you know how worried we were?”
“We?” you repeated as both men smothered you in their arms, neither fighting for more of you than the other. “Who’s we?”
Kihyun pulled away and Changkyun stepped to his side. “We’ve called a truce.”
“We decided we had something in common.”
“You do?” you asked and both men nodded happily.
Changkyun smiled. “We both love you a lot. Of course, in our own ways.”
“And not having you in our lives – existences – is unbearable.”
“So don’t leave us ever again, okay?”
You tried to not smile too widely. “You mean it?”
“Plus, I like this house, and Kihyun’s food.”
“Changkyun’s like the little brother I never had,” Kihyun quipped.
“Well, does this mean I won’t hear fighting anymore?”
“Of course!”
“We’ll be on our best behaviour!”
“Good, because I can’t handle the best people in my life at odds with each other,” you concluded, hugging them both individually.
“You ate without us?” Changkyun suddenly accused after inhaling into the hug and Kihyun gaped at you.
“We were sick with worry and you ate?”
“Well, I got hungry and-”
“Don’t worry, Kyun, I’ll make us something delicious.”
“Good, and Y/N isn’t allowed any.”
“Of course not!”
You laughed and shook your head; at least they were getting along, which was what you had hoped for so long now.
Life wasn’t as quiet as it once was. You’d still come out to find both of them bickering over something, but you just learned that it was how they were. Equally, they were the type to hold onto one another watching sad movies instead of you and even you had jealous moments when it came to their bromance.
But you were thankful. Not only had Kihyun saved you, but he had saved Changkyun too. You had lived far too long stuck in the same routine in the same small space that you hadn’t hoped for anything more than that.
Having chaos in your world meant you were always waiting to see what would happen next. And you realised that this suited you far better. You got to spend your days with your best friend and the love of your life. Sometimes that would be a blessing or a curse, but you knew you wouldn’t have it any other way.

Not What You Thought (Puppy Week Collab)
Summary: You thought having a new puppy would be all fun and games, yet it was harder than you thought.
Pairing: Lee Jooheon x reader
Genre: puppy au / fluff
Warnings: none
A/N: Day 6 of puppies and a highly amused Jooheon. I hope you’re all enjoying the collab @goodnightkisseu , @prettywordsyouleft and I have created!
Word count: 1174
[Puppy Week Masterlist]
“Y/N, what are you doing?” Jooheon asked making his way towards the bathroom, leaning against the door frame as he watched you, a knowing smile crossing his features.
“What does it look like I’m doing?” You replied, frustration laced in your words. “I’m teaching Bear how to go potty!”
You continued to straighten out the puppy pads onto the floor, setting up his bed and bowls on the other side of the bathroom. Bear weaved his way through your legs, wanting all of your attention to be on him and not on the task you were doing.
It had been just over a month since you picked Bear up and welcomed him into your home. Both you and Jooheon knew that a dog of his size and breed required a lot of work and training. You had done your research before deciding on the breed and knew husky’s to be intelligent, even if Bear was proving otherwise right now. He was grasping how to take commands very well; he could sit, stay and come instantly. However potty training seemed to elude him. He did his business when outside in the backyard or on walks, yet when it came to doing that same task inside it was a different matter. You had set up a designated area for him to do his business, and most of the time he did but when he had free range of the house he would go anywhere that suited him. It was frustrating to you more so than Jooheon, who seemed very aloof with the whole idea.
“Ahh, I see.” He mentioned casually, making his way into the room. Bear finally caught sight and ran towards him, yapping loudly for his attention now, you all but forgotten.
“I just don’t understand how he can grasp everything else but this one little thing. Well, it’s not little, but you get what I mean.” Exasperatedly you ran your hands through your hair, shifting to sit against the bathtub.
“He’s still a puppy Y/N. He will get there; just give him some more time. Isn’t that right Bear.” He cooed at the puppy, moving next to you on the floor, Bear wasting no time in joining the two of you.
“Maybe you’re right.” You sighed, glancing at Bear and patting him instinctively as he yapped at you in greeting, nudging your hand with his head appreciatively.
Over the next two weeks you had vowed to be more patient with Bear, yet still as persistent. In some ways, you felt you were making progress. You noticed he used the puppy pads more than he used to, but he still made the same little accidents around the house, and today your growing patience had worn thin. You were running late, going from room to room in search of your shoes when the unthinkable happened.
“Jooheon, have you seen my black heels?” you called out as you walked through the dining room, your eyes not noticing where you were stepping when suddenly your foot collided with something soft and wet. You froze instantly, your body tensing up with the sensation against your toes.
“BEAR!”
The puppy in question came running to his name, at least he got that command correct, you thought bitterly as you opened your eyes. He sat in front of you, his tail wagging slightly until he noticed your body language. A small whimper leaving his mouth then.
“What’s the yelling all about? Oh no.” Jooheon asked the heels you were searching for in his hand. Upon seeing you he tried to stifle his laugh, his eyes crinkling in amusement as he failed miserably.
“Don’t.” You warned, not finding the predicament funny at all.
“Oh come on Y/N, it was just an accident. He’s sorry aren’t you boy?”
Placing your shoes in the dining table he crouched down towards Bear, picking him up slightly, his paws in front of him begging for forgiveness.
“How can you stay mad at this cute face?” Jooheon pouted along for extra effect.
“Easily.” You answered bitterly, although your resolve was fading fast, your heart melting at the cuteness in front of you. “Okay, stop it or my heart will burst.”
“Haha, we got her Bear!” he chanted in victory, Bear barking triumphantly too.
“I just wish he would go toilet in the right spot.” You sighed, pulling a dining chair out to sit on as Jooheon quickly went to the kitchen, fetching a paper towel to clean up your foot.
“He will get there. He’s already made so much progress.”
“I know, I just want him to get this too.” You admitted as you took the paper towel and cleaned up your foot.
It was endlessly frustrating for you. All you wanted was for Bear to be toilet trained. You followed all the help books and articles you had found on ‘how to toilet-train your new puppy’ and for the most part they did work. He was a very smart dog, sometimes you felt he outsmarted the both of you. He always found a way to sleep on the bed with you, even when you had both agreed to not let him sleep there from the very beginning. Bear worked his puppy charms on Jooheon, and in turn, you gave in too.
“Hey, where did he go?” Jooheon asked, pulling you out of your thoughts. “He was just right here a second ago.” He admitted, his brows knitting together in confusion.
“Bear?” you called out as you searched your way through the house. Jooheon went in one direction, and you in the other.
“Y/N, he’s in here!” Jooheon called out.
Heading towards his voice you stopped still, Jooheon smiling brightly. Stepping aside you saw the reason for the happiness. Bear was sitting on the puppy pad, a yellow puddle soaking into it next to him.
“Good boy!” you shouted happily. You rushed towards the puppy, excited at the sight before you. “Who’s a good boy? You are!” you cooed, picking him up and hugging him affectionately, as you started dancing around the room.
“You’re adorable, you know that? I can’t wait to have children with you.”
“What?”
You stopped moving, your stomach fluttering with butterflies as your eyes met Jooheons. He was smiling again, his eyes filled with adoration and lust that your cheeks started to blush with colour.
“You want to have children with me? I can’t even handle a puppy right now.” You admitted softly. He closed the gap between you then, his hand cupping your cheek gently.
“You are great with Bear. Your patience and persistence paid off. We’ll have nothing to worry about.” He leaned forward brushing your lips softly with his.
“You think so?” you asked apprehensively.
Jooheon nodded “Yeah I do, and if we have any problems Bear will help us rein them in, won't you?” indicating his head to the puppy in your arms. Bear barked, his tail wagging in confirmation. “See. All sorted.”
You rolled your eyes, chuckling softly as you nudged Jooheon, his smile becoming infectious.

About me tag
I was tagged by @peachyparkjinyoung @goodnightkisseu @riceeater22 @jj-nyoung @prettywordsyouleft @itsallabigmess @ahgase55g7
Thank you lovelies. I just had time to do the tag. Here it is!
Rules are :
1. Tag the person who tagged you
2. Answer the questions
3. Tag 10 people ( I'll be honest, I'm gonna tag probably more than 10 lol)
Let's get it started!
•How tall are you?
Honestly in my group of friends, I am one of the tallest but right now here in Tumblr, I'm one of the shorterr one hahahahaha.

•Do you wear braces?
Again, nope. I'd like to but not now. And I'm happy with my teeth even though my teeth are not that pretty ahhahahahaha
•What’s your fashion sense?

Ice Blades - Ha Sung Woon
In which you learn how to ice skate for the first time, along with the help of the resident ice fairy.
Hello everyone! This is Day 4 of my Christmas Collaboration with Ash from @goodnightkisseu and @ongsung and Chelle from @prettywordsyouleft
This one is dedicated to Ha Sung Woon, so I hope you enjoy it! Day 3 was from Chelle, and Day 5 will be coming from Ash, so make sure you head on over to each blog respectively if you’re following along ^^
As you clung to the side of the rink, you began to regret coming to the ice rink. It was the end of the quarter and your friends had invited you to go ice skating hosted by an org they were in. Although you had always admired the sport, you had never had the opportunity to actually try ice skating.
And maybe it was a good idea you hadn’t until now. It didn’t seem like you were all that great at it, and although your overzealous friends had tried to help you, after several hard falls, and a few too many close calls following that, you ushered them to skate on without you; you’d need some more practice around the edge of the rink before you could really join them. Though, you weren’t sure if that was going to be anytime soon.
Taking a deep breath, you tried your best to skate to the nearest door, where you decided to take a break. You almost made it before catching your skate on a rough edge, and felt yourself fall. You braced yourself for the fall, but before you could, someone stopped right in front of you and caught you, grasping both of your arms firmly to hold you steady.
You let out a hard breath before calming yourself down. Looking up, your eyes widened to see Sung Woon was the one who was holding you up. He had a worried expression on his face, or at least that was what you thought before you quickly diverted your eyes.
“Hey, you okay there?”
You nodded quickly, unable to formulate any words, still trying to calm down from the near-fall.
“It’s all right, I’ve got you. Here, the ledge is right here. You can reach right?”
“Y..yeah. Thanks...didn’t really want to fall again.”
You reached for the ledge after stabilizing yourself and stood up straight. When Sung Woon saw you were able to stand on your own, he slowly let go of your arms before sliding back a bit.
“It’s not a problem. I’m glad I was in the right place at the right time.”
You smiled shakily before turning around to step off the rink and into the resting area. Maybe you would stay here for the rest of the night. You turned back to see Sung Woon still watching you, and you waved at him.
“Thanks again! I think I’ll take a break for now...been falling to many times today.”
He nodded silently before skating off, your eyes on the back of his figure as he did so.
Ha Sung Woon. He was a mystery to you. Some said he was really friendly, and was rumored to have 300 numbers in his phone. Others said he was the local ice prince. He had skated competitively when he was younger, but gave it up because he didn’t like the pressure from it, and would rather skate for his own enjoyment instead of competing. When you saw him around campus, it seemed like he had his own tight-knit group of friends. And although you had met before, it was brief, during a mixer that your dorm held at the beginning of the school year. He was also an upperclassman, so you never really had the same classes.
Seeing him here was a surprise, but also not. It made sense that he would be at an event hosted by a university organization. As you saw him make his way around the rink, it made sense why people called him an ice prince. He made skating look so effortless, but looking down at your soaked pants, and feeling your sore body parts that had made contact with the ice today, you knew it wasn’t that easy; it took a certain amount of skill and expertise to navigate the rink the way Sung Woon did.
As he skated again to your side of the rink, you were slightly startled when he stepped off the rink and made his way to the bench to sit by you. You were a bit baffled, and could only stare as he sat down next you, running his hand through his hair before leaning back against the bench. It was then that he looked over at you, and you blinked once slowly before turning to look back at the rink.
“Why were you looking at me that way?”
“What do you mean?” You cleared your throat a bit, slightly unnerved he was talking to you.
“You were looking at me earlier, like I was an alien.”
You turned back to him in surprise. Was that how it seemed like to him?
“You’re not an alien...”
He learned forward and set his elbows on his knees before pulling an arm up to prob his chin on his hand. He was looking at you now, still skeptical.
“Really, then what am I?”
“Ha Sung Woon.”
“So you know me?”
Of course you knew who he was, but the guy was too popular to remember you.
“Yes, I do as a matter off fact. A lot of people do.”
“And what have these people told you about me?”
You hesitated slightly before answering. You weren’t sure if he was okay with what people called him.
“That you’re really friendly, and an ice pr...really good at ice skating.”
He smirked slightly. Looks like he knew what you were going to say, and you could feel your cheeks flush in embarrassment.
“You know my friends call me something else other than an ice prince”
This perked your interest, though you were wondering why he had singled you out to talk to you.
“What do they call you?”
“An ice fairy.”
You had to keep the chuckle that threatened to escape you. A fairy? Of all things why did they call him that? But regardless, you had to agree; it’s not like he wasn’t handsome? But it seemed like it had a different connotation with his expression.
“I’m short,” he said simply when you hadn’t spoken. And you had to raise your eyebrows at that. Was he that short? You were quite short yourself, at a mere five feet.
“I don’t really care to be honest. I didn’t even think about it until you mentioned it,” you said
He shrugged nonchalantly, but seemed satisfied with your response. He stood up from the bench before he turned out to offer his hand.
“Come on, this ice fairy can teach you a thing about skating.”
You looked the rink before looking back at his offered hand. He seemed to sense your hesitation and smiled warmly.
“I promise I won’t let you fall, Y/N.”
You looked at him in shock as he said your name. Maybe he did remember you after all? Glancing down at his offered hand, you decided to take another chance on the ice. Perhaps with Sung Woon, you could make an entire round of the rink without holding onto the wall. Sure you’d be holding onto Sung Woon instead, but the idea of that was much more appealing than the wall.
Maybe this skating thing was a good idea after all.

I am fortunate to have people comment and like my stuff so I won't make this about myself.
But I know several writers like @mark-tuan-and-namjoon-lover @goodnightkisseu @this-song-thats-only-for-you who all write well and are barely getting any traction.
Quite often Ashley (goodnightkisseu) will tell me that she is going to stop writing. Even with changing her focus since lets be real, not many are reading Wanna One content anymore, she is barely lucky to get a comment here and there and a very few notes. And then with Nim (mark-tuan-and-namjoon-lover), I just saw she is thinking of giving up her royal au which you can seriously tell she had put a lot of effort into setting up - heck she wrote up a character reference list for crying out loud!
They are just two of the many writers who deserve more hits but aren't getting them. I know tumblr has made it harder for some blogs to get noticed with its changes. But please... give comments. Even if it is just one comment we receive on a story, it means our time, effort and passion has been recognised.
I hate watching the passion run out in people because their words haven't impacted others enough and they begin to doubt it all.
why commenting on fics matter
Because writers will stop fucking writing if you don’t.
It is extremely sad to hear one of your friends consider the possibility of deleting all their fics and WIPS - something they spend hours on for free - because of a lack of feedback. I have entertained that thought too, many times. Writing is exhausting, time consuming, and sometimes frankly depressing and discouraging. As a reader, you can make a difference. This is not just about a writer leaving a fandom, because that happens all the time - it’s about a writer leaving a fandom and taking all they’ve offered to it with them because they feel worthless. Which is just revolting.
Fic writers lose sleep and gain anxiety over the work they decide to share with the world. If you don’t show a writer your appreciation, you will get nothing in return. Nothing.
If you tell someone you like their work, you get everything. More stories to read when it’s a Friday night and you’re exhausted as hell, more fluff to comfort yourself with when you’re feeling cold, more fucked up stories when you feel in the mood for them, more smut when you need to relax. I don’t know, man. It’s just so fucking precious and rich and important, all these people who decide to take you places because it makes them happy to, but if you don’t say a word of thanks, their carefully crafted world crumbles and turns to dust. It’s as simple as that.
Comments make a writer write more. And not only for your entertainement, because it was never about that - not at the beginning - but for themselves. Knowing people appreciate the work they do helps us gain confidence, and confidence makes people. I never considered writing as a possible career option, but now, I have plans to develop a story that’s been blooming inside my head properly on paper and put it out there, in the real world, to see if it worth it. I believe in it. I believe in the stories I tell, I believe in my writing, and it is only because of the positive feedback I have received for the past year.
This rant is a jumbled mess, because I am pissed off as hell. This shouldn’t happen. Commenting on fics should be a given. Just comment on fics, acknowledge the writer’s work and you. Will. Get. Everything. You. Ever. Wanted. Do nothing and you will get nothing, and then you will wonder why this or that fic hasn’t updated in months.
Guess what - it’s because I have better things to do with my time than spend hours working on a fic for people who don’t care. I am done.
#i get lots of asks for write this idol here!!#or stop writing got7#the moment i follow through barely anyone reads that content#i know its petty but some of you are missing out on a good story just because you wont broaden your reading horizons#i have mutuals who write for idols who if given the choice i wouldnt read for on my own#and yet i still read their stuff and it opens my eyes to worlds i would have missed#support your writers please!

lockscreen, homescreen, last song played, last pic saved~
I was tagged by my lovely writing wife to share my lockscreen, homescreen, last song played, and last pic saved. Thank you for tagging me @prettywordsyouleft
Very unsurprisingly, nunu has still taken over my entire phone.... and honestly most of my other electronics at this point OTL But to answer Chelle’s question, we do still have matching lockscreens! :D I haven’t changed my homescreen since the last time... but if you’ll notice... I’ve added Superstar Starship to my endless list of mobile games OTL
Last song I listened to was Loco’s ‘Thinking About You’ and last pic I save was this Hyungwon pic. Don’t judge me... I have to start drawing him soon after I finish Changkyun’s OTL I’m... not ready to be looking at Hyungwon for that long. Hyungwon the second bias/bias wrecker, everyone >_>
I’m tagging: @this-song-thats-only-for-you @notsosubtlekpop @sootssprites and anyone else that wants to do it~ Also don’t feel like you have to do it either if you don’t wanna :3

Get to know the nerd behind Goodnightkisseu!
So after nearly two years of running this blog, I’ve finally gotten around to writing an ‘About Me’ post. Honestly, I don’t know how interesting this will be to some of you, but here it is! Thanks for coming along for the ride!
The Basics:
Name: Ashley (though a lot of people just call me Ash :’3)
Age: 27 this year~
Born: 4/4
I grew up in a small city in the state of Washington
I now live in California for work!
Likes: food, citrus fruits, boba, taking pictures of things or friends, learning new things, cute art and plushies, anime and cosplay (!)
Dislikes: My food allergy (yes, everything is about food to me), tbh I feel like there’s not a lot that goes here...
Favorite Animal: Elephant! I have no idea why, but I love them so much ;;
Hobbies: A gamer at heart so video games and mobiles, drawing, clay sculpting, and overall crafts
Social Media: Personal Instagram | Personal Twitter | Art Instagram | Art Twitter | I also have Kakao and Line so feel free to ask :3
I got into KPop some time back in my high school years, around the time that Suju’s ‘Sorry, Sorry’ came out. I remember being obsessed with it and eventually expanding into other groups there! KPop and Korean entertainment were a large part of my college years and still is now, though its role is a bit different! It’s harder for me to keep up with every single KPop release now, but I’m not opposed to learning about new groups and their music!
As far as my writing is concerned, I’ve been writing since my early teens. I actually started off writing in more of a roleplay format, and didn’t write my first actual chaptered story until maybe... 17? Back then I wrote a lot for Jaejoong. I will not be linking those. They are embarrassing and should stay unknown.
I also wrote sporadically throughout college for a handful of groups (mainly U-KISS, B.A.P, ZE:A, and EXO (yes, I’ve been an exo-l since debut, oh boy)) but I had to stop when my coursework got particularly busy. It wasn’t until Produce 101 Season 2, when Ong Seongwu popped into my life, that I felt the inspiration to write again! I’ve really been enjoying my writing journey since! There have been things I haven’t been super happy with, but it’s all just working towards something better, right? :D
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me doing a multitude of other crafty things. I love to draw, and it’s a passion of mine that I never really got to explore. I’m always drawing when I can and sometimes I’ll make them into cute little things like pins :3 If I’m not drawing then you’ll find me neck-deep in video games. One of my faves growing up was Final Fantasy X! Hence the Yuna gif above! ^^ I also play a lot of mobile games, so if that’s also your thing, let me know XD
As much as I would like to work on writing all day, I do have a day job, though I love what I do! I work in video games, which to me, is a dream come true as it allows me to work on something that I love dearly. It’s not always fun, but it’s very rewarding in its own way. My job is a bit more technical, so I get to use that Computer Science degree that I worked so hard for, while also having artistic elements. It’s a really nice balance!
The Bias Groups and Biases
This could grow to be a really long list so I’ll just list some of my biases for you and their groups!
Exo (Jongin & Sehun), Infinite (Woohyun & Myungsoo), CNBLUE (Jungshin), Monsta X (Shownu), TVXQ (Changmin), Kim Jaejoong, Ong Seongwu, Kang Daniel, Yoon Jisung
Feel free to ask about groups that you don’t see on this list or ask me about who currently trying to get to first place in my heart!
Concerts
I’ve been super lucky to attend a handful of really amazing concerts over the years. Some with really amazing seats ;; If you’re curious about any of them, do feel free to ask! ^o^
Epik High - North America Tour (2015)
Infinite - Infinite Effect (2015 - 2016)
Wanna One - One: The World (2018)
Winner - Everywhere (2018 - 2019)
Monsta X - We Are Here (2019)
KARD - WILDKARD (2019)
And I think that’s it! Thanks for reading this ridiculously long post. Feel free to chat with me about any of this, or about anything else! I’d be more than happy to talk! ^o^

This particular drabble request was timely as today is also Kyungsoo’s birthday! So I hope that you all enjoy this one ^^
- ash <3
Navigating a normal life within regular social norms was already hard enough. Trying to figure out if your behavior was acceptable, how others perceived you, as well as where you stood with someone was trying. Add wealth, power, and greed to this, and you had the complicated web of relationships that Kyungsoo had been trying to navigate ever since birth. Kyungsoo came from a well-off family. His great grandfather had built a business that skyrocketed in success about fifty years ago. Though his family didn't have the type of power to run the country, as some would hear of others, they were still quite renowned.
This, of course, meant that Kyungsoo grew up differently than other kids. He had his life mapped out for him before he was even born. He was sent to the most prestigious institutions for his education so that he could take over his portion of the business when the time was right. Every day was packed with additional coursework outside of schoolwork, the family priming him to be a well-rounded individual. Sometimes, he would get to play with his friends, but that wasn't often. And honestly, he could never tell if his friends were really his friends or just people that wanted to befriend him because of his family. Though as complicated as this all was. There was one thing that Kyungsoo was sure of.
He loved you.
Kyungsoo had loved you for a long time, likely before he even knew the meaning of the word. Many things in Kyungsoo's life were already etched in stone, and one of them, in particular, was his engagement with you. Your family was also rather wealthy, and it was projected to be a union that would help both families. But as children, neither of you understood this. You just enjoyed your time playing together, running through the large homes and gardens, playing hide and seek. You didn't have a care in the world back then.
But as you grew older, the two of you started to understand. You understood your roles in your families, as well as your future roles towards each other. Strangely, it didn't bother either of you. By that point, you were already close. You spent a lot of time with each other every day, so it was natural for you to depend on the other. And whether you knew it or not, that might have been when those first seeds of love were planted in your hearts.
Still, even if everything was planned, growing up was hard, mainly through the teen years. Although Kyungsoo expertly navigating these new social circles, like many of his peers, he noticed that you were having a much harder time. You were naturally rather shy, to begin with, and everything that was changing probably didn't help. Whereas girls your age were developing into beautiful swans, using makeup to enhance their maturing features, Kyungsoo noticed you shrinking away. You wore more clothes to hide, grew quieter, and this was what got the school talking.
Kids were cruel, and you were subjected to a handful of baseless rumors. Kyungsoo shot every one of them down, but that didn't stop people from talking. Amongst the sea of wealthy children who spent their family's money to get into all sorts of trouble, the only person you had left was Kyungsoo. But honestly, he was all you needed. All of the drama in high school pulled the two of you closer. Your bond grew stronger.
Kyungsoo didn't leave you for his new group of friends. Instead, he found himself spending more time with you. You would always do your coursework together. You would still eat together. And most importantly, you spent your free time together. While you pursued your passion for painting, Kyungsoo would be nearby, face buried in a book. Those small seeds of love were blossoming into beautiful flowers that thrived on your support for each other.
Age eventually led Kyungsoo to start working for his family's business. This was expected, but it did mean that the two of you spent less time together. Your engagement was kept quiet for the time being, allowing you both to focus on your new jobs. You also worked at your parents' company, though a lot of the work you did was behind the scenes. You never really got over your shyness, and you preferred to handle business that didn't require you to be in the spotlight, and your parents respected that. It did make things a bit harder in some respects, but you all worked through it the best that you could.
Though you were both busy, Kyungsoo had worked hard to maintain that connection the two of you had over the years. Because as much as he wanted to be there for you, he appreciated you being there for him too. He wasn't going to let the stress of his family's work get in the way of your relationship.
Naturally, after the two of you grew comfortable with your roles, your families were back to talking about your marriage. For something that had been agreed upon so long ago, there wasn't much arranged for it. So all of the wedding planning had to be completed within a few hectic months. This did make some things difficult, of course. While you were trying to plan the wedding, old friends and the general public felt the need to comment on the arrangement. They posited that someone as successful as Kyungsoo could have found someone better, someone more fitting for the limelight. These comments were hard to see, even hear, but Kyungsoo stayed close. He knew what you needed, and not once, over all of these years together, had that changed. And eventually, the chatter from your social circles died down.
That night, Kyungsoo arrived home a bit later than usual from his business meeting. He had some people coming from overseas, and due to some flight delays and overall time differences, the meeting ran for longer than expected. He was exhausted now, and he figured that you probably would have been asleep yourself. From what he had gathered from your messages throughout the day, work had been hectic for you as well. Yet, much to his surprise, you weren't. The moment he walked through the front door, he saw the light of your studio, the yellow hue dancing across the floorboards of your hallway. With a faint smile, he dropped off his jacket and bag by the door before he made his way over, eyes peering into the gently lit space to see what you were up to.
One of the first things that the two of you did when you moved in together was to set up this little art studio for you. Something that hadn't changed since you were children was your love for painting. Even now, your brush effortlessly danced across the canvas as you laid down the first layers to your next masterpiece. Though art was always a hobby, you had sold a handful of pieces under a pseudonym. And though it made Kyungsoo happy to see others appreciating your work, part of his did wish that you would make yourself known… instead of hiding behind a façade.
"Looking lovely as always," he stated, his low voice cutting through the calming music that you had playing in the background.
Though you were startled, you had learned not to jump. One, for the sake of your painting, and two, because this was pretty typical of your husband. Kyungsoo was always rather good at sneaking up behind you when you least expected it. As much as that bothered you sometimes, you were glad when he was around.
"Are you talking about me or the painting that I'm working on?" you inquired, turning around a bit in your stool so that you could get a good look at him. He smiled when your eyes met, and you received a chuckle in response.
"Both. Though, I think that your painting may outshine you this time," he teased, watching as your eyes narrowed slightly, a scoff leaving your lips in return. Kyungsoo's smile spread as he made his way across the studio, the space much more natural to traverse now that the two of you found some proper shelving for your supplies. He gave you a gentle kiss on the cheek, and the moment that he felt your lips pulling into a smile, he knew that you weren't upset. His hands found their way to your shoulders, and his eyes gazed at the piece of art before him.
"The colors are really nice for this piece. You went for warmer colors than you usually work with. I think it's stunning," Kyungsoo complimented.
You gave a small nod before resting your head against his arm. "I wanted to try something a bit different this time," you explained. "Since I'm usually partial to cooler colors, I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone, work on something that can bring warmth to a room."
"Will we be hanging this one up, or will you be looking for a buyer for it?"
You hummed softly, your mind trying to come up with the right decision. "I think I'd like to keep it. I think it could look really nice in our living room, in that one empty space along the back wall. I always thought it felt a bit cold, so this could help?"
Kyungsoo nodded. "I think it would look really nice there," he agreed. "Maybe someday, we could actually tell our friends that the artist they are so in love with is you…"
You let out a quiet sigh, knowing what Kyungsoo meant. He always wanted you to be more confident in yourself, to share your passion with others. Though you had become more comfortable in your own skin, it was still hard for you to in a room with too many people. He wanted to be able to bring you to events, but extravagant events were always too much for you. Small ones were fine, but when they reached a certain level, it was hard. "You know that isn't like me…"
"I know," he said softly. "Part of me wants to show you off to the world, to show off your talent to others. I think people feel like I purposefully keep you hidden away. I... I just want others to appreciate you the way that I do…"
"You didn't have to marry me, you know," you reminded him. "You could have chosen someone that liked the spotlight more than I did. They would love to go to those big and fancy events and have people ogle them…"
Kyungsoo nodded, his hands gently sliding down your arms as they reached for your hands, helping you up on your feet so that he could slip his arms around you, holding you in his embrace. "I could have. My parents told me that there were a lot of other families that were interested in an arranged marriage," he told you truthfully. "But, I know that I could never have the same connection with any of them that I have with you. We grew up together. We were there for each other, and you managed to take over every inch of my heart, little by little. You didn't do anything big, but each of your little gestures showed me how much you cared. I couldn't find that anywhere else…"
You couldn't help but the smile that crept onto your features, the way that the heat rose to your cheese. "You, Do Kyungsoo, have become very cheesy since we were kids," you stated, your own hands finding their way around his neck.
"Only because I love you so much," he reaffirmed. "Our parents may have arranged this marriage, but what I feel for you isn't fake. If I had to marry anyone else, I wouldn't feel the same. I don't want you to ever forget that."
"I won't," you told him earnestly, as he leaned down to seal your lips with a kiss. Though your lives were anything from average, Kyungsoo wouldn't have changed this quieter and more private love for anything in the world…

Chae Hyungwon - The Perfect Gift
→ pairing: chae hyungwon x reader
→ genre: fluff
→ word count: 784
→ warnings: none
→ summary: what could be harder than shopping for the ones you loved the most? well, shopping for your boyfriend’s parents...
→ masterlist // monsta x masterlist
note: as I’m trying to get goodnightkisseu back up and running again/provide you all with new content, I decided to write this cute little fic to get me back into the swing of things. I wasn’t originally planning to write anything for the holidays this year, but this idea was too cute to pass up! I hope you all enjoy it!
- ash <3
December was always the busiest month of the year. It was just always filled with a plethora of tasks that needed to be completed promptly. From shopping for gifts to prepping meals for holiday parties. From the year-end company party to making sure that all of your work was wrapped up before the office closed for the last two weeks fo the year. It was rare that you had any time to yourself in the hustle and bustle of the month. But today, amidst all of the insanity, you found that time. After all, you had something important to do.
You needed to find something for your boyfriend's family.
Now, you didn't like leaving this to the last minute, but you were completely stumped as to what to get them. It had bothered you for the past month, and instead of spurring you into action, it had the opposite effect. It stressed you out, paralyzed you. And now, you and your boyfriend were out amongst other last-minute shoppers, hoping to find anything they would like.
"I don't understand why you're so concerned about finding the perfect gift for my parents. They already love you," Hyungwon said plainly, as the two of you wandered into the next store. It was just as bustling as the one you had just come from. It had been a long day, and he could feel it starting to take a toll on him. Honestly, the only saving grace was that you were there. He hadn't seen you much lately, and both of you were extremely lucky that your mere presence was enough to keep him on his feet and moving.
You looked up at him, your hand tightly grasping his own as the two of you squeezed past the crowd that was congregated around the latest electronics. "But I don't want to disappoint them. What if they like me less because I get them something undesirable," you countered, letting out a gentle sigh. "Do you remember that print I got for your father last year? He loved it so much he wouldn't stop telling everyone about it..."
A look of realization momentarily flickered across Hyungwon's eyes. He was starting to understand why you were so concerned about finding something good for his parents. Last year, you had arrived with individual gifts for his parents. It had been your second Christmas with them, and you were determined to get them something personalized. For his mother, you had gotten her a set of imported teas, something she could brew when she felt like she needed a change from her daily routine. But for his father, you had found this fantastic print. It was a replica of one of his favorite paintings, but the quality of the print itself was high end. Hyungwon's father fell in love with it immediately and proceeded to hang it up in his office. He was so in love with it that he gushed about it every chance that he got, to anyone that would listen. This even included Minhyuk when he went to visit once.
Word eventually got back to Hyungwon about how much his father adored it, and he promptly told you. At first, you were ecstatic to hear that he loved it so much. It warmed your heart that a gift that you put so much thought into was well-loved. But with time, you realized you had done too good of a job, and that this Christmas, there was no topping that, and it made you nervous.
"Are you going to try and go all out again this time? Eventually, you won't be able to keep outdoing yourself," Hyungwon teased, seeing the beginnings of both a pout and look of judgment forming on your features. It was cute.
"Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence. Of course, I know that I can't keep outdoing myself. There's no way I'll be surpassing how much your father loves that painting. I just… still want it to be something good though…" you reasoned, hearing your boyfriend gently chuckling beside you.
"Well, if that's the case, why don't we look for something for both of my parents. If you give them one large gift this year, you won't have to stress about getting them independent presents for the following years," he suggested.
"Sir… I like the way you think," you teased, eyes looking up at him with a renewed determination.
Hyungwon took the opportunity to give you a gentle peck, sneaking in another at the tip of your nose. Hearing you giggle in response, a smile formed on his lips before he led you through the aisles, hoping to find that special something for both of his parents…

Until You’re Better
Pairing: Yoo Kihyun x me reader
Genre: fluff / established relationship au
Warnings: none
A/N: This is dedicated to @goodnightkisseu who has dubbed both myself and Kihyun as too stressful to deal with XD
Word count: 1535
“You did it again.”
Kihyun looked at the displeased expression on your face, chuckling weakly in response. The reaction then made him wince and you arched an eyebrow, folding your arms across your chest at his lame attempt to persuade you otherwise. Once recovered, he flashed you a charming smile, hoping that his camera lens would pick it up enough to make you relax from how rigid you now appeared. “Baby, I’m fine.”
“Fine isn’t a word I’d used for being injured right now, Kihyun.”
“Honestly, do you expect me to just sit around in this hotel room whilst everyone else works?!” he wondered exasperatedly and the hard expression in your eyes confirmed just that. He groaned. “I’m a singer, I need to sing.”
“You also need to heal so you can have a long career or are you going to throw all of that away?” you retorted, rolling your eyes. He was frustrated by your statement, you knew more than anyone just how much this career meant to him. As a fellow artist, you understood that your craft and being able to do it was everything. Without singing, well, Kihyun didn’t want to think about that any time soon.
“I swear to god if you go up on stage again-”
“I’m not! I told my fans that I’m taking a rest after tonight’s performance. Pinky swear.”
You smiled then, relaxing somewhat and so did he. Which meant the pain he was feeling around his middle started to increase, but he wasn’t exactly about to tell you either. You sighed. “What am I going to do with you? Kihyun, you need to rest so you can heal. It’s already killing me being this far away from you knowing you’re injured, don’t make me suffer further.”
He chuckled and regretted it immediately, watching you smirk at his pain. “I think I’m the one suffering here!”
“Good,” you told him with a giggle and Kihyun gaped at your gesture. “You deserve that pain.”
“You like your boyfriend hurting?”
“Of course not. If I could take away the pain, I would. But I also think you’re foolish. You don’t need to prove anything. You are still going to be loved by thousands even if you take some time out to rest, I promise.”
“Are you going to still love me?”
You feigned a thoughtful pose, tilting your head to the side with the weight of your answer. “Are you going to keep hurting yourself?”
“I’m resting. See, I’m lying in bed. Alone.”
“Is that my fault?”
He nodded. “You’re not here to look after me.”
“Oh, is that right?” you started, leaning closer to the device you were video calling him on. You pouted. “I bet you wish I was there to play nurse, huh?”
“Mhmmmm.”
“I think you really wouldn’t want that. I’d make sure you didn’t move an inch from that bed. No work, just healing.”
“Are you going to keep scolding me?”
You nodded. “Until you get the message loud and clear.”
“I’m sleepy and wanted to talk to the sweet version of Y/N until I fall asleep. Why isn’t she around?” he whined and you shrugged, your eyes alive with amusement.
“She went mad with worry over her broken boyfriend who is miles away from her and started dancing on stage when he was meant to be resting. I’m afraid she’s had to take a step back.”
Kihyun pouted. “So I have to put up with grumpy, nagging Y/N?”
“Until you stop doing stupid things, yep.”
Kihyun’s injury was healing enough that he felt fit for work again, much to your chagrin. You wanted him to wait until more time had passed, but as an idol, Kihyun didn’t want to let his fans down. More importantly, he didn’t want to burden his fellow members. Although, they too, wanted him to rest and attempted to adhere to your strict instructions of making sure he remained seated throughout all performances until he had the all-clear from the doctor. It frustrated him, but at least he was allowed to sing again and that was all that mattered. Of course, he would sneak in a few moments on stage when the others weren’t as focused on him and get up and dance. He couldn’t help himself, with the music flowing well and the crowd as amped as they were, Kihyun felt like he was missing out.
Until you found the proof of his antics and started to scold him again.
However, he wasn’t about to let you continue to have the upper hand, especially when he came home and found you working away on one of your stories. He gasped noisily upon entering your at-home office, and you jumped with fright. Kihyun then glared at you. “What’s this?!”
“Huh?” you attempted innocence, smiling all too wide up at him. “What do you mean?”
“Y/N, your hand injury,” he stated, pointing to your right hand you had all too conveniently hidden away from him. It didn’t stop him from coming over and pulling on your arm which made you whine. “You’re not wearing your half-cast!”
“I can’t write with it on.”
He gave you a knowing look. “That’s the whole point. How will you rest and remove the inflammation if you don’t keep it on? Do you like being in pain?”
“Do you want me to go insane? The ideas don’t let me have a moment’s break from flooding my mind. I can’t not write, Kihyun.”
“What’s that? Oh, did you just say you don’t really care about this being your career in the long run, Y/N?”
You sneered at him. “That was a cheap shot.”
“I distinctively remember you telling me off about going up on stage when I was really injured.”
“Don’t you think this is a bit different? You’re talking about a fracture; I just have a sore hand.”
He folded his arms gently over his chest and shot you another hard look. “Y/N, what does a writer use predominantly to write?”
“Stop being such a nagger,” you replied, getting up and moving away from him. Kihyun shut the laptop down and took it away from your desk as he followed you back out into the living area. You threw him a disgruntled roll of your eyes. “I have a desktop, are you going to unplug that too?”
“If it makes you stop writing and wear your cast, then yes I am.”
“You’re driving me insane!”
“The feeling’s mutual, babe. You were on my case and now I’ll be on yours. Hyunwoo-hyung always says we’re too alike, and now I’m seeing why. Both as stubborn as one another!”
“I need to write and I was taking it slow,” you bartered, but it didn’t please Kihyun in the slightest. Groaning, you threw your hands up in defeat and then whined when your injury hurt.
Placing down the laptop, Kihyun came over to your side, taking your injured hand within his and hissed when he noticed how much swelling was sitting on top. You avoided his gaze, your cheeks turning pink. Instead of scolding you, he wrapped his arms around you and drew you into his embrace, your arms hanging down and resting on his hips. He chuckled. “I’m healing, hug me properly!”
“No, you’re not fully better yet.”
“Are you going to be stubborn about this too?” he wondered and you pulled your head out from his chest where you had buried into, shooting him a smirk.
“Of course I am. Until you’re better, I won’t hug you!”
“Is that so?” Kihyun grinned. “Until you rest your hand and it’s better, I won’t kiss you then.”
Annoyance flashed across your eyes before you jutted out your jaw. “If that’s how you want it to be, I’ll just wait to see when you cave.”
“I’m not going to.”
“You can’t go a single day in my company without kissing me, Yoo Kihyun. You just can’t help yourself.”
“Much like you can’t go a day without writing, huh?”
“Are we back to arguing about that?”
He chuckled. “I don’t think we stopped arguing at all.”
“It’s a good thing Ashley isn’t home; she’d be telling us about how much our arguing stresses her out.”
“Well, can you blame her? You’re so stubborn and never let up.”
“That’s a bit like calling the kettle black, huh? Look at you, Mr I can’t help but perform when I’m meant to be on seated duties only.”
Kihyun let out a heavy sigh. “I’m certain you were sent to drive me insane.”
“At least we can agree there,” you replied with another smile, both of you soon laughing over the ordeal. Your arms loosely went up to his waist as you buried back in, hugging him properly.
“Please rest, I don’t want to live in a world without your stories, Y/N.”
“Mm. I’ll try.”
“Or I’ll take your cord from – ow!”
Looking up, you smiled a little too innocently. “Sorry, my hand injury played up. Are you okay?”
Staring down at you, Kihyun shook his head before kissing you. He could taste your smile as soon as his lips met yours. And when he pulled back, he nodded this time. “Never felt better.”

Well Trained (Puppy Week Collab)
Summary: Kihyun couldn’t accept that your new puppy favoured you over him.
Pairing: Yoo Kihyhun x reader
Genre: puppy au / fluff
Warnings: none
A/N: Day 4 of puppies and with a sulky Kihyun too! I hope you’re all enjoying the collab @goodnightkisseu , @this-song-thats-only-for-you and myself have created!
Word count: 1534
[Puppy Week Masterlist]
“Come! Come!” he cried energetically, patting at his lap repeatedly to entice the puppy his way. He had the right tone, the right energy and had lowered himself to the ground for accessibility. There was absolutely no reason for the puppy to not come into his lap.
Except, he didn’t.
Instead, the fluffy white bundle skidded to a stop when he saw you paying him no attention, and leapt up at your legs, whining for you to pick him up.
Kihyun’s face contorted with displeasure, his hands falling heavily into his otherwise empty lap. “Don’t pick him up!”
“Aw, why not?” you asked, putting your phone down and bending to pick up the puppy. You fussed over him as he licked at your fingers, both now content in one another’s company.
Kihyun groaned loudly, picking himself up off the ground. “I was calling him.”
“And he chose the better parent. If you smother him in your love, he won’t want to play with you,” you chided, petting the prized pooch calmly. He had already fallen asleep in your lap and even if Kihyun was frustrated, he couldn’t help but smile.
Your first baby together was too cute.
But then he remembered the feeling of the rejection he just faced and pouted at you. “Most puppies like anyone who offers them attention.”
“So try not giving him any and he might come your way.”
Kihyun tried everything to entice his fur child to love him. But the puppy had other ideas. He followed you around wherever you went, curled up in your lap the most and whined incessantly when he couldn’t see you – even if Kihyun was present. Over the three weeks, since you had adopted him, Hayan had made it clear that Kihyun’s only role in life was to supply the dietary goods.
“Here you go, Hayan,” he said dejectedly, offering the puppy his breakfast. “At least you don’t run away from me when I have food in my hand.”
But there were only so many treats he could feed the dog before it became more about food than the hand that was giving them over. Kihyun was disheartened; he had always imagined adopting a puppy with you as the first step of setting your lives up together. And although it was much further down the track, he was concerned that when you started to grow your family that his own flesh and blood would favour you over him as well.
He couldn’t help but feel petty about the current situation.
“How about you take puppy classes with him?” you offered one night, noticing his clear disdain at the dog sprawled out snoring on the space beside on the couch. His space. You picked up Hayan and Kihyun let out a heavy sigh before sitting down, and you placed the sleepy puppy in his lap. He was content for all of a minute, before he slid his body from Kihyun’s lap into yours, curling up there instead. You tried to hide your amusement but failed.
“Why would I want to do that with your dog?”
“Oh come on, Ki! Like I encourage this! He just likes me better. He actually kind of reminds me of you.”
Kihyun gaped at you. “Of me?!”
“You follow me around too, you know. You always like to be close so you can reach out for me whenever it suits you. And in bed, you curl up with me against you. I’m pretty sure you whine when I’m not home if I have to go away on a work trip too.”
He felt his shoulders turn rigid, and whilst he didn’t openly refute or agree with your statement, Kihyun saw your satisfied smirk in figuring he did just that when you weren’t around.
But he wasn’t like Hayan either. He knew when to let you have space, unlike the dog, who if you didn’t leave the bathroom door open, would scratch and whine until he saw you again. At least, Kihyun could let you shower in peace.
Most of the time, that is.
“Puppy classes?” he repeated, going back to your original statement, and looked at you in confusion. “As in taking him to learn how to sit and stay and all that?”
You nodded happily. “I was going to enrol him in them because the centre we adopted him from said he excelled with the preschool sessions when he was smaller. At fourteen weeks, he’s a little too old to continue with those, so now he has to go to the normal puppy classes. I think it’ll be good for you both. He’ll have to learn to respect what you command him to do.”
The idea sounded welcoming. He liked the idea of being able to do something with Hayan without you being there.
The reality was, on the first session, Hayan wailed the whole time. Despite all the other puppies there, Hayan was miserable without you. And the instructor seemed to grow frustrated with Kihyun’s inability to comfort the dog. He drove home in silence, leading the dog up into the apartment and for once in his life; Kihyun was pleased to relinquish him into your embrace.
You frowned. “What’s wrong?”
“He hates me.”
“He does not, don’t be so dramatic,” you replied but Kihyun was not in the mood, heading into the bedroom and getting settled into his place in the bed before you and Hayan came in to disturb his rest. You convinced Kihyun to take Hayan to the next session and begrudgingly he did so. There wasn’t as much separation anxiety as in the first session, but it was clear Kihyun was behind in progress as the others in the class. He was ready to throw in the towel when Hayan actually sat for him on command right away. Blinking in surprise, Kihyun held his breath, waiting for the dog to bound away again. Instead, he just sat there.
“You did it!” he cried, crouching down to pat him enthusiastically, his smile turning into a grin the longer the dog allowed him to shower him in affection.
Over the weeks, Kihyun had trained Hayan to perfection. The dog was maturing along with his training and even you had been impressed with the change. Hayan was less inclined to cling to you, opting to sleep on the rug at both of your feet whenever you were on the couch together. Although he still greeted you excitedly whenever he saw you and would sit patiently outside the bathroom door for your return, Kihyun could see that the puppy wasn’t so biased any longer.
He enjoyed being worked by Kihyun, the food he fed him and often came to give him affectionate nudges with a ball in hopes to play. By six months old, you had a well-trained dog who graduated his classes with the highest distinction.
Kihyun had never been so proud.
It was Kihyun who was parked outside the bathroom door first, Hayan coming over to look up at his owner and then sat down patiently. Together they remained, peeled at the door for any signs of your reappearance. Kihyun petted the now large dog’s head and ears mindlessly, reaching out for comfort to ease his nerves.
And then you finally opened the door, stepping out of the room chewing on your bottom lip. Both males lurched forward, coming over to your side.
“Well?” Kihyun asked and the ghost of a smile started to smooth out your lips, his emotions heightening. “You are?!”
“Hayan you’re going to be a big brother!” you gushed, diving to the ground to pat the dog who barked excitedly at your reaction, Kihyun dropping to his knees and encasing both of you in his embrace.
And then he faltered, pulling back to look at you both anxiously. “You don’t think the baby will love you more than it does me, right?”
“Kihyun!” you cried, slapping his arm gently before shaking your head. “Look at you and Hayan now. You’re two peas in a pod. If anything, I’m worried that I’ll now have three of you following me everywhere I go!”
“Do they have baby classes? Will I have to wait a few months again? I’m going to start training this baby to love me before it even comes out into the world, just you wait!”
He chased after you as you retreated into the bedroom shaking your head at his antics, Hayan eagerly following the progression as well. When you were settled back into the bed you had been resting in from what was now confirmed morning sickness, you turned to look at both males who had occupied each side of you. You grinned. “I love you, even if you’re obsessed with being the most loved.”
“It’s not an obsession, its all about equality.”
You smirked, closing your eyes as you went back to resting and Kihyun turned to the dog resting his head on your stomach lightly. Raising his hand, Hayan high-fived him and Kihyun nodded happily.
This new chapter of parenting would definitely be a challenge, but if there was anything Hayan taught him, it was that he knew he was capable of getting there in the end.
