I wonder what the cult of Prophet Laura did after settling down on New Earth??
Did they still believe in the Prophecy and the Dying Leader, since she died the day they reached Earth?
Did they even know that she had died?
Did her stories later develop or become something completely different from what we knew of?
Or did she just complete her mission, die, and completely forgotten??

I'm gonna go off on this (deleted) scene because there's so much spaceparents going on in season 3 that begs to be talked about more and also we need new content in the fandom
Btw this scene is definitely canon because this was a conversation they for sure had, whether we saw it or not (as I think is the case with all bsg deleted scenes but that's a post for another day)
So the way this scene is cut to is somewhat abrupt and if yall remember its a continuation of the scene left in the ep.. but what kills me is that it's abrupt because they slip into personal intimate mode so fast, even though they are still doing the "fleet business" thing. And we get to see this slip a good amount between them, usually in public or semi-private spaces with other close working professionals around, but here it's just them in Bill's quarters and it's gentle and loving.. until its not
Bill is 100% on edge leaning in to hang on her reaction and laura is like "thank the gods" and then "ut oh" in a second because our girl can read a room and ever the stalwart starts spitting out short, affirmative facts. Our Easily Emotionally Overwhelmed Admiral sits just long enough to realize he is gonna lose his shit if he doesn't dip out when laura begins to tell him why he should just accept what she did. And he's already in his quarters so where tf will he go? Ah yes, the head but with door wide open, mood: "im overwhelmed and i need to shave Right Now so i can feel grounded in and distracted by something but since you are already here.. please come talk to me"
I think it's hard to say how much of which things he is feelsing about ranging from "i have a dead child" to "i have been lied to about a serious fleet security issue" to "laura hurt people i love in a way i have been hurt" to "laura didn't trust me/shut me out after all we'd been through" but i think i tend to side toward his nature to empathize with the Agathons more than anything, which is where he settles eventually even if the question of trust thing is at play because nothing matters more to him than family.
Okay but laura... knows she has to give him all of her reasons to make sure he knows it wasn't a matter of trust which is why she immediately gets up despite the "im upset" mode of bill. Oh, and she's stupid comfortable with hanging out at the door, having a conversation and making eye contact through the mirror while he is going about his private business, you know, like this happens often. No sense of feeling as if she is invading his space. She's also very physically presenting herself as open, not forceful, but very secure in her choices. It takes her a long time to fully face him which is a way of letting him know she unterstands his feelings in the matter.
She saves the main point of "why i didn't tell you" for last to make him hear her good. It also seems like she knows that's gonna be the big one that matters long term. and her reason was that she knows him sooo well and cared about him enough at the time to recognize how fucked up it would have been to drop this in his lap knowing he would not have been able to be part of or allow it to happen due to his tendency to let his personal relationships drown out his calculating mind (see: at least 6 eps in each season dealing with this exact problem).
BUT she legit spared him this personal turmoil in exchange for a potential bad fallout between them later on from it, like what a selfless babe!! She also knows she has to continue to inhabit that role of making the hard calls and cannot apologize for it, and the tough old bird comes around real quick once she says she's about to leave lol
But of course he's gotta have his say and he's gotta go right for the gut and really drive home the point that she is the cause of some fucked up trauma to really good people he considers family and ughhh they always tell it like it is no matter how harsh
Spaceparents really out here having a hard time at this point. They'd finally got a chance to explore the romance and then the four months of occupation and now they are back assuming power and trying to put the fleet back to "normal" living with the knowledge that things like this gotta pop up every week and it just reminds everyone of those certain responsibilities (which will be addressed a few eps from now) and not that this scene makes it seem impossible to balance bc they actually handle it very well, but it does illuminate the central complication to them more than other scenes or conflicts, particularly because of the intimate setting and their uncertainty about where they are at with each other and they really just kill me yall. 90% of their relationship makes me feel deep sadness at just their separateness and the unfairness of it all
So much of this scene is holding and pacing the energy and none of this would be possible without the absolute brilliance of mary and eddie tbh. They are playing a simple game of catch with each other while their characters are both having important emotional developments... nbd
#we could all use new spaceparents content#whether this is groundbreaking or not#it got me fanfic inspired#spaceparents#madam president and the admiral#laura roslin#bill adama#battlestar galactica#the eye of jupiter#mary and eddie

Folie a Deux teaser
I’m dragging my feet on this one, but here’s a sneak peek...thanks as always to @okaynextcrisis for the prompt and @cassiopeiasara for the help.
They slipped into something of a routine in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, and it happened so easily she didn’t even notice it until she realized that she’d been at his apartment for dinner twice that week and was making plans for him to join them the following night. Barring late rehearsals or Grace’s school schedule, they ate together almost every night. He came to her classes at least twice a week, and she called Billy to schedule him to teach the 10am class so that she could put on her pointe shoes and let Bill torture her in company class on Mondays and Fridays. (Tory’s good will toward Bill had burned off quickly, and she had informed Laura in no uncertain words that she was NOT there to pick up the slack so that Laura could playact at being a ballerina again.) (Tory was about two steps away from being booted out on her ass from the yoga studio; the only thing saving her job was that she was the only one who could manage to make the books balance at the end of the month.)
She was sitting in his kitchen, stunned into silence at the realization that she spent almost more time with Bill these days than she did with Grace, but he kept talking as he loaded the dishwasher, not noticing the wide-eyed shock on her face as she realized that Bill was fast becoming a permanent fixture in her life. Again.
“So, next week is Thanksgiving and we have a lighter load before we go into tech at the stage. I was going to head up to New York, but Carolanne is taking the boys to her parents’ house in Ohio. I was thinking maybe we’d take a drive, explore some of Pennsylvania or maybe go down to Baltimore for the day and see the aquarium.”
Her silence finally registered with him, and he slammed the door of the dishwasher before he turned the full weight of his blue eyes on her. “Or we could just stay here. Up to you.”
“Bill, what are we doing?” The words left her mouth before she could stop herself.
“Well, I’m running the dishwasher. You’re overthinking things.” He flicked the knob on the dishwasher, and she flinched when the machine purred to life.
She furrowed her brow. Was she overthinking things, or not thinking enough? She was sitting on one of the stools at his kitchen counter, and for the life of her, she had no idea how she’d made the decision to come here tonight.
She liked to plan things. She liked to know the outcome before she set a course of action. She was careful, dammit, and here she was, alone in the kitchen with the most dangerous man she’d ever known while her niece read a chapter of biology in the next room.
“I don’t overthink things.” He didn’t dignify her retort with a reply, just a grunt as he dried his hands on the dishtowel “I don’t. I think about everything the exact right amount.”
“Ok, then,” he said. He slapped the towel down on the counter. “What are you thinking?”
“I think we should go on a date.”
What the hell? She was thinking about traffic to Baltimore and crowds at the Inner Harbor. She most definitely was not thinking about a date, so why the hell had she said it?
His eyebrows shot up. Clearly she wasn’t the only person in the kitchen surprised by what came out of her mouth. Whatever he was expecting her to say, he sure hadn’t expected that. Makes two of us, she mused.
“Okay...I’m not going to disagree, but where did that come from?”
Laura shrugged, helpless to take the words back and even more incapable of explaining herself.
“A date,” he repeated, more to himself than to her. “Well, we didn’t exactly date before, but,” he grinned at her, “I’m game if you are.”
Oh, God. She buried her face in her hands.
“I’ll pick you up tomorrow at seven. Nobody cooks dinner, and no teenagers. We’ll see if this date thing is a good idea. Unless you overthink yourself out of it?”
There was a better than good chance that she’d do exactly that, but she couldn’t take it back now. He’d never forgive her if she backed out. She might not forgive herself either.
“But that still doesn’t answer my question. Do you want to go to Baltimore or not?”
“I want to go to Baltimore,” Grace yelled from the living room. Oh, God. She’d heard that? And everything else? Laura silently prayed for the floor to open up and swallow her whole.
Bill wrapped his hands around her wrists and tugged her arms away from his face. “Dinner tomorrow and Baltimore this weekend.”
“I hate you,” she whispered.
“Funny way of showing it, Roslin.” He pulled one of her hands to him and brushed a quick kiss to her knuckles. “Now, go home. I have a class to teach in the morning, and you have a date to overthink.”
They were halfway home before Grace said anything. For the first ten minutes, Laura tried to convince herself that Grace hadn’t been listening, but as soon as she opened her mouth, Laura knew she was completely screwed.
“Sooo...you have a date tomorrow.”
Laura pressed her lips together. “We are not going to discuss it.”
“You’re going on a date with my teacher, and you think we’re not going to discuss it?”
Laura took her eyes off the road long enough to raise her eyebrow at her niece. “We are not going to discuss it. Some things are none of your business.”
“Well, yeah, but if he’s a bad kisser and you don’t want to see him again, and he takes it out on me, don’t you think that’s my business?”
First of all, no she did not. Second, she remembered only too well that Bill Adama was a good kisser. Good at other things, as she recalled, before she pushed those thoughts out of her mind. Third, she was going to have to have a long talk with Grace about kissing and...those other things, and she didn’t think it was possible to miss another person as much as she missed her sister right now. “You don’t need to worry about that,” she muttered.
“Of course not, because you worry enough for both of us.”
What was this, Dump On Laura Day? Bill was rubbing off a little too much on her niece for Laura’s peace of mind. “I don’t worry. I merely consider.”
“Yeah,” Grace said, sarcasm heavy in her voice. “You’re considering how to get out of going out with him tomorrow.”
She eased her foot on the brake, coming to a smooth stop at the last stoplight before she turned onto their street. “What I am considering is throwing you out of this car right now and letting you walk home.”
It was an empty threat, of course, and one she’d repeated countless times over the eight years she’d been Grace’s guardian. Maybe a little more serious this time; a walk in the chilly November night might do wonders for reminding Grace just who paid the heat bills in their house, and it would give her at least a good ten minutes to freak out in peace without a teenage audience.
Grace flexed her feet against the dashboard. “These toes are too valuable for mere walking.” At her aunt’s sharp glare, she tucked her feet under her, shifting in the seat so that she could give Laura her full attention. “But seriously,” she asked. “A date?”
A date. She hummed in response. The last thing she wanted was to discuss her love life with her teenage niece, but she was reminded of late-night phone calls to Cheryl when she’d talked about just that, going on and on about how much of an asshole her partner was, and Cheryl crowing that she liked him, and was he cute, and how did he fill out his tights, and Laura was in her twenties again and blushing furiously by the time she pulled into the garage.
“Lights out in an hour,” she said, “and I know you’re not done with your homework, so scoot.”
Grace lifted her hand to her brow in a mock salute before she gathered her bag from the floorboard. “Yes, ma’am.” She was through the door and into the house before Laura bothered to unbuckle her seatbelt.
“Shit,” Laura whispered. She banged her head softly against the steering wheel. “Shit, shit, shit.”

12 Hulu Plus Movies that Look Just Bad Enough to Watch
I'm not a weird nerd, so I'm not into bad horror movies and ridiculous sci-fi movies like these:
And I'm also not an idiot who likes stupid huge studio movies:
HOWEVER I do like fun, and some movies are just bad enough to fall in the fun zone. I'm no snob, and there's something fun about throwing on a movie, getting drunk, and watching Catherine Zeta Jones fall in love despite her almost screwing it up because of her recent breakup shenanigans. There's something therapeutic about watching 1981 frat boys objectify women and come sooo close to getting thrown off campus. And hey, sometimes it's nice to watch a hot lady get trapped in a seductive web of lies. And if these movies have big stars in them, it's even more fun. Here are 10 mediocre movies that look kinda fun, are on Hulu Plus (7 bucks a month), and not on Netflix Instant.
1. PASSION PLAY
The cast of Meghan Fox, Mickey Rourke, and Bill Murray, along with the following Netflix synopsis really get me excited about this movie:
Restrained by a ruthless gangster, gorgeous Lily, a circus freak whose incredible wings make her look like an angel, yearns for freedom. After crossing paths with the trapped beauty, down-on-his-luck musician Nate commits himself to rescuing her.
2. AMERICAN BREAKDOWN
This cast is mind-blowing and all over the map: Paul Walker, Steve Carell, Paris Hilton, James Gandolfini, and Josh Hartnett. Steve Carell plays a serious dude with a gangster hat on. And the trailer says "5 strangers . . .bound by fate. . .set out on their own." Woohoo!
3. ADDICTED TO HER LOVE
This is a Lizzy Caplan post Mean Girls, pre Party Down, playing a hot blonde. "How far. . . would you go for love?" The boy who has a crush on Lizzy Caplan would DEAL DRUGS for love.
4. TOO YOUNG TO DIE?
Hell yes! 1990, stars Brad Pitt, Juliette Lewis, who were complete non-stars at the time. Pitt gets Lewis into drugs and hooking. She stabs a dude and goes to trial. This movie has a question mark in the title and also, it's made for TV. This particular cast captured in this particular time is the only reason to attempt this one.
5. SPEAKING OF SEX
This movie from 2001 has a big 'ol cast: James Spader! Melora Walters (from Magnolia)! Jay Mohr! Laura Flynn Boyle! Bill Murray! Catherine O'Hara! Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman make an appearance. Netflix describes this as a "slapstick sexual comedy".
6. THE ALMOST PERFECT BANK ROBBERY
A Brooke Shields action comedy from 1999. The title is self-explanatory.
7. AFTER.LIFE
Ok, wow. From 2009, this super natural thriller stars Christina Ricci, Liam Neeson, and Justin Long. For some reason there's a period inside the title. Here's the Hulu synopsis"
After a horrific car accident, Anna wakes up to find the funeral director preparing her body for her funeral. Trapped with no one to turn to, Anna is forced to believe that she is merely in transition to the afterlife…while feeling still very much alive.
8. TOMBOY
From 1985, this one looks cute, adorable, and sexist. It's about a "spunky" auto mechanic named Tomasina (what?) who goes by Tommy. She goes head to head on the race track with her race car driver crush, but there's a big problem: she's a chick who is capable of things, a.k.a. she's a tomboy.
9. PERSONAL EFFECTS
Cougar Michelle Pfeiffer goes after to a much younger Ashton Kutcher who has recently suffered a loss? Whoa! That's what I call a premise!
10. WHO'S HARRY CRUMB
John Candy!! He plays a detective who dresses up in undercover costumes and does characters.
11, MEN SEEKING WOMEN
Here's 1997 Will Ferrell flick. Three bros make a bet on who can get a girlfriend first. Another amazing Netflix synopsis will give you the gist.
A $2,000 bet is at stake in this battle of the sexes. Three single friends place a bet on which of them will be the first to find a girlfriend and live with her for three months. But what you gotta realize from the get-go is that these guys can't even make it past the first date! Stars Will Ferrell (with eyes that have more glaze than a Krispy Kreme donut) and Nia Vardalos.
12. THE WAY OF THE GUN
From the year 2000, this Crime Action Shootout Thriller stars Benicio Del Toro, Ryan Phillipe, and James Caan. Del Toro and Phillipe do a big crime and "run into major problems" according to Hulu.
